ngl guys if I see someone dumb down Natlan to being purely "oh it's based off of Africa-" once more I am going to cry ngl.
it's name literally is Nahuatl, which is the Aztec language. it DOES have portions from African cultures, but it's mostly Latin American in it's themes. It seems to be taking themes from MULTIPLE cultures across the Ring of Fire in the end. The cultures it's based off of is extremely varied and a lot of pre-colonized ones as well.
Hoyoverse has been pushing the Latin themes in our faces since day one for Natlan, and still actively do so. It is mostly a mix of Latin American and African cultures with others (like Australian) in it as well.
This is the second nation in Genshin with African cultures noticeably mixed in, previous being Sumeru... which also really made their guys so pale for no reason.
#ymir sketches#hoyoverse#genshin impact#natlan#I keep getting annoyed at folks immediately locking onto the African elements than the Latin ones ngl mostly#because how in your face it is about Latin themes. like... how.. how do you ignore that?#this also may just be my brain going 'but THE OTHER THEMES-' to literally everything ever in all genshin regions#The obvious inspirations (mostly via the names) should kinda of be a focus ngl when talking about any of them in my brain.#it just. confuses the hell out of me when people do not recognize that all these nations have MULTIPLE cultures in them.#I still can't believe it's far more easier to find starrail npcs that have more pigmentation than in genshin ngl.#and that's including the playable characters ngl as well.#dying here ngl. irl. but that's only making it annoying to type some of this but#Natlan's whole thing has already been hinted at us as it usually is at the moment slightly before the release (summer event)

Unexpected Hope
Damian has been disoriented all week. When he was told that stopping the ritual would have repercussions, he did not expect this. He had been dealing with the memories on his own but unfortunately he could not postpone this gala.Â
He had been stopping a ritual that would end up summoning the being he now knows as Undergrowth. Damien does not regret that choice especially now that he has the context. Unfortunately it brought back his memories of Phantom.
He didn't quite understand they were memories for quite a while honestly he was a little bit concerned he got possessed. Thankfully after some compartmentalizing and a little bit of isolation, he figured out what was wrong. It did not help the confusion that comes with being a Midwestern teen and an assassin child put into one body but he has gotten the hang of it.Â
Unfortunately Damian did not get long before he was forced back into the presence of his family. he had put off many public family events in the last few months so he was not able to get out of this event. he probably could have faked being sick but he'd much prefer to be able to pass off any of his symptoms from the memories as uncomfortableness being around strangers then be alone with his family.Â
He's honestly very happy with his choice after he sees her. He doesn't recognize her at first with the dark auburn braided hair and the dress being something other than black but something made him turn around when he heard her rant.
She was giving a humanitarian speech to one of the investors. At first he got closer just to hear about it. It's always funny to see the faces of the imbeciles when people don't bow to their wishes.
Damien thought he finally found someone who was not a gold digger or a social climber. What made him really stop in his tracks was her body language. It was like a neon flashing sign opened up and said âhey this is Sam Masonâ.Â
Damien walked over with hope in his chest that he was not alone. she eventually seemed to get tired of the man or maybe he was able to scramble an excuse and walk away. he couldn't quite hear but by the time he walked over there it was only her.
âyou seem to be quite passionate,â Damian says, trying to start a conversation and figuring out how to ask the hard question.
What is he exactly supposed to say? âHey, are you my best friend for my last life or hey do you remember being on my ghost hero vigilante team that ended up with all of us being Undead royalty.â
The girl looks him over, probably trying to figure out what he wants.Â
âAre you here to argue?â She says angrily, obviously ready for another fight.
âYour speech reminds me of someone, have you ever heard of Samantha Masonâ Damien says trying to be nonchalant.
Her eyes seem to widen and look him over again.
âWhere'd you hear that name.â She ordered.
âI've heard enough of her rants to be able to pick it out from a crowd.â
âDanny,â She said softly her grabbing his hands and squeezing as she looked around to make sure no one saw. âwhat how I thought it was the only oneâ Hope seemed to be filling her eyes.Â
âHi Samâ Damien Whispers just as softly just as glad he is not alone.Â
Without another word Sam drags them to the stairway rushing up to the floor upstairs and trying to find a room that isn't being used. She eventually finds one two floors above the room they were using for the gala and pushes him into what looks like a break room.
âHow the hell did you get your memoriesâ Sam demandsÂ
âWhy are you yelling at me? You have your memories too obviously if you are recognizing your nameâ Damian says shouting back at her.Â
Sam always has a way of catching him off guard. She was happy just a minute ago.Â
âyeah well I did something stupid which means I know you did something stupidâ Sam said pointing her finger at him.
â Well I may have accidentally stumbled upon a ritual for summoning an ancient and when I stopped it the backlash gave me my memories back. â Damien stumbled over their words trying to justify themselves. "What stupid thing did you do?â
âThe girls in my stupid Prep School in my grade went through a very witchy phase. there was a slumber party and they were stupid enough to actually find real magic. I had a cut on my hand earlier in the day and try to freak them out by adding a little bit of my blood. apparently my protection spell is literally stuck into my soul, so things went downâ Sam says just as hesitantly as Damien
âyou have zero leg to stand on okay fine we were both stupidâÂ
They both sat there in silence for a while, mostly just basking in each other's presents realizing they weren't alone anymore.
âit's good to have you back," Damian says, giving her a weak smile and running his hands through his hair.
He'd been trained out of all of his nervous ticks but it probably makes her more comfortable to see him just as nervous as she is.
âit's good to see you too da- do you have the same name?â both of them don't seem to realize at the same time that they didn't get each other's names.Â
âDamienâ he says as he pulls his hand out of his hair and puts his hand out for a handshake.Â
âSarahâ she says, grabbing his hand and giving it a shake.
the two of them shake their hand for a moment before they look at each other's eyes and burst out giggling.Â
Damien's really glad he decided to not pretend to be sick.

First Encounter
|Summary: Your first encounter with Armando; based off of that one scene from bad boys ride or die. | Warnings: Getting shot at/slight suggestive language/Curse words/Slight Movie Spoilers | Trope: One sided interest or Enemies to Lovers| Notes: Hopefully you guys enjoy it's my first-time writing a x reader. | (Y/N/N=Your Nickname)
Here's all the parts I have so far: 1 2 3 4 5 6
______________________________________________________________
After seeing the news about your dad, Uncle Mike, and some guy, you decided to leave work early. Confused on why there all the sudden wanted fugitives, you quickly drive over to Dorns place knowing that heâll have answers.
Parking your car, you grab your purse and make your way towards his lake house. Since you hang out with him and Kelly 24/7 outside of work, you just walk in without knocking.  Which was a mistake on your end because not even a second later youâre being shot at, and you could hear a few people yell in shock. Dropping to the floor you curse and yell "It's me stop fucking shooting itâs me Y/N!â Looking up you see Kelly pointing the gun at the place you were just standing at with a shock expression. âGirl what the hell you got going onâ you said, scared to stand up. Lowering her gun she said âOMG, Y/N, Iâm so soââ Before she could finish you hear âOh lord, you shooting at my baby!", recognizing the voice you look around to spot your father Marcus, running towards you with a worried look.
As heâs checking over you, you hear him sigh with relief after seeing you were fine. " Dad? what the fuck is going on!", standing up you dust off your nurse uniform, with a confused expression.Â
Looking around the room you noticed shocked expressions from Dorn and Kelly who had put her gun down. Spotting Uncle Mike and the man that was with him on the news your eyes squint even more, Tryna put two to two together.  âY/N/N, arenât you supposed to be at work, "Marcus says confused on why his daughter was there. Still shaking up from being shot at you say, âI was at work but when I was making my rounds with my patients, I seen you guys on the news ......but shit! I should be asking the questions! why are you, Uncle Mike and this dude, wanted fugitives âŚ. matter of fact," turning towards the man, "Who are you?â.  Seeing the man smirk he says," Someone you can get well acquainted with.â Just as youâre about to say something smart, your dad cuts in dramatically "Aye hell nah man! No hitting on my daughter, Mike get your son!âÂ
Shocked you run your eyes over the Latino man which you can now see have some of Mike's features, âUncle Mike since when you have a son, and why the hell is he dressed up like a redneck.â Running your eyes frantically over their forms you back up while pointing your hands at them and say, âmatter of fact why are you all dress up like that.â Feeling your dad pull you aside to calm you down, he explains everything that happened these past few days.  After getting the run down on what was going on, you rub at your eyes with a stressed sigh." So thatâs Armando," you said shaking your head "I wouldâve pulled my gun out as well if Iâve seen him, dad didnât he almost kill you and Uncle Mike!", you said feeling frustrated about the situation. âY/n,I know this is awkward, but he has evidence to prove that Captain Conrad is innocent.â Sighing again âOkay, fine but if he tries some shit just know Imma make him taste the rainbow.â Hearing laughter you look back to see the Latino leaning against the kitchen counter looking at you with a smirk on his face. Seeing your father look at you with a donât do it expression made you huff and ignore Armandoâs laughter.  Before you could move to grab your purse off the floor your dad stops you again and whispered, "How long Kelly and Dorn been messing around, "letting out a short laugh you say, âFor a minute nowâ Seeing your father smirk, and send a look to Mike, you knew they were up to no good but chose to ignore it.
Walking to the door to grab your purse and its spilled contents you feel eyes on you, gazing up you see Armando watching you with an unreadable expression. Rolling your eyes you pick up the rest of your stuff, but as you reach for your lip gloss, a hand grabs it.  Looking up your face to face with the Latino himself, annoyed you extend your hand out, while raising an eyebrow. Watching his amused expression, you sigh and roll your eyes.Â
âBoy if you donât give me my stuff,Imma punch you in the throat." Hearing him chuckle made you more agitated, but you kept your cool. As he holds out the gloss to you with a smirk you huff and reach out to snatch it, only for him to pull it back in a teasing manner.
Looking at him as if heâs grown two heads, youâre about to cuss him out when he saysâDemasiado bonita para una boca como esaâ. Furrowing your eyebrows you say âWhat?â  Armandoâs smirk widens as he says, âI said to pretty for a mouth like that.â Scoffing you snatch your lip gloss out his hands, putting it in your purse as you stand up and say, âFirst of all, my mouth is only like this because you almost killed my dad not too long ago, and secondly I can say whatever the fuck I want cause last I checked imma grown women.â Watching his eyes glance down at your body, you hear a low whistle, "You sure are, but if you ever wanna fix that mouth of yours, "he pauses allowing his pretty brown eyes to trail back up to yours,âaquĂ estarĂŠ mamiâ (Iâll be here mommy)Â
Shocked slightly at his boldness, you say âBoy if you donât get out of m---,â but before you could finish, he was called over by Mike. At first Armando ignores him and continues to admire you until your dad says, âBoy get your ass over here," which made you break eye contact with him and look away. Â
Glancing back up you couldn't help but admire his physique as well but as he reaches the others by the computer set up. He glances back to see you staring which resulted in him sending you a wink. Rolling your eyes you turn away with a smirk," You your daddy son for sure," you say to yourself with a smile.

A Lot of Time has Passed | Part 2
Series Masterlist | Masterlist
Season 4 Rafe x Maybank reader
Summary: Beginning at the time jump, the Pogues seemingly succeeded at something, Rafe is struggling with making amends and being a better person. JJs sister left the island after returning from South America. Returning after 18 months with a secret.
A/N: I can never tell time length in this show. Not sure how many days truly passed for the first part of this season so this will be my own timeline.
Im on a roll I wasnât expecting P2 to come out the same day. The story will get much better- just trying to get the set up for the story done. :)
Not proofread
Word count: 1.8k
Warnings: nothing really just some story building. Maybe a slightly mean Rafe for like 2 seconds though. :)
A few days had passed and you and Kie decide to go shopping. You hadnât spoken to Rafe since the day of the race. As you and Kie exited a store, engrossed in conversation, you collided with a couple of people. You immediately apologized and looked up, only to find Rafe and Sofia standing before you, her arm hooked around his once again.
âHey! You look amazing! How have you been?â Sofia exclaimed, her eyes lighting up as she recognized you. Rafe stood beside her with a smug smirk, saying nothing.
âGreat! You look amazing too,â you replied, forcing a cheerful smile. The tension in the air was palpable, especially knowing that Sofia likely knew about your history with Rafe, and you both were acutely aware of what had happened just days before, right under her nose.
Kie stood behind you, visibly disgusted by Rafe. Hoping he wouldnât notice the shopping bag in your hand, you discreetly slid it behind you and nudged Kie toward the Twinkie.
Before you could catch your breath, Sofia chimed in again, âSo, whose baby are you shopping for?â Panic surged through you for a brief moment, but you quickly replied, âMy cousin. I reconnected with my mom, and my cousinâs daughterâs birthday is coming up. Weâve gotten really close, and I wanted to get her something special.â You surprised yourself with how smoothly that lie rolled off your tongue.
âIs that who the âVâ on your necklaceââ Rafeâs eyebrow arched at your answer, but he cut Sofia off. âYouâre talking to your mom again? Since when? You never told me.â
âI donât think I need to tell you that,â you shot back defensively.
âWell, where does she live? Where have you been?â Rafe pressed, and frustration bubbled inside you. âStop.â You turn back to Sofia. âI really need to go. It was good to see you, Sofia.â You lightly touched her arm, shot Rafe a warning look, and hurried back to Kie.
âHeâs such an asshole! How could he do that to you and then act so smug?â Kie exclaimed, her anger evident.
âI donât know, Kie. Itâs fine. Letâs just go.â
The next day, you were helping Sarah at the shop, stocking shelves and sharing laughter over silly jokes. Just as you were in the middle of a story, Rafe unexpectedly burst through the front door, startling you. He grabbed your arm, pulling you away from Sarah, who protested loudly, âWhat the hell, Rafe? Get off of her!â
âSarah, youâre really not in a position to tell me what to do since this is all your fault,â Rafe shot back, his tone icy. You looked at him, confusion washing over you.
âYou might want to watch whoâs around when youâre parading around talking about how cute your niece is,â he added, his gaze piercing.
You turned back to Sarah, shock and dread settling in. Your blood ran cold, and a wave of numbness enveloped you. âJust go outside, Rafe. Iâll be right out,â you said quietly, trying to regain your composure.
You needed a moment to process everything happening around you. Your heart raced as you spoke softly to Sarah, âI am so, so sorry. It mustâve been when I was talking to Cleo, and you sent me that video of her with your mom. I didnât think anyone close to Rafe was around. I didnât realize; I'm really sorry.â You could see the guilt etched on her face, knowing she never intended any harm.
âItâs okay. It was bound to happen, I guess,â you replied, pulling her into a comforting hug. You took a deep breath and headed outside to face Rafe.
He stood on the porch, rubbing his buzz cut, and turned to you as you stepped out. âWhat the fuck? Are you kidding me right now? Your cousinâs baby? I knew you were lyingâI can tell when youâre lying.â
âThis isnât how I wanted you to find out,â you said, trying to keep your voice steady.
âWell, I know now, so you better explain everything to me.â Just as you prepared to respond, the sound of bikes pulling up caught your attention. JJ and John B quickly hopped off and approached, with JJ stepping in front of you, his eyes narrowing at Rafe. âWhat the hell are you doing here, Rafe?â
âYour sister has a lot of explaining to do to meâback off,â Rafe retorted.JJ turned back to you, a puzzled look on his face, and you assured him, âItâs fine,â as you directed him and John B inside.
Pushing Rafe away, you led him down to the docks, searching for the right words to start. He took the initiative, his voice steady yet filled with tension. âSo itâs true? This isnât just something misheard?â
You nodded, feeling the weight of his anger and confusion. âIâm sorry, Rafe. I really donât have any words to describe how sorry I am.â Tears began to well up in your eyes.
âDonât cry. You donât get to cry after what you did to me.â His words stung, and the tears fell harder now.
âOkay, okay, calm down. Please just tell me whatâs going on,â he urged, his voice softening slightly. You both settled onto a bench facing the water, the calmness of the waves contrasting the turmoil inside you.
âIâumâI,â you stammered, taking a deep breath. âSheâs a year and two months. Her name is Vivienne Rae Cameron-Maybank. She has my tan skin and lips but your hair color and your eyes. Sheâs really beautifulâso bubbly and full of life. Sheâs innocent, blissfully unaware of how cruel the world can be. I envy her.â
Rafe ran his palm over his face, the weight of the revelation settling heavily between you. âA year and two months. That meansââ
âI knew before I left,â you interrupted, your voice trembling slightly. âThatâs what I was doing in the bathroom. JJ called me saying he needed me, and then you said you needed to handle something. I just threw everything in my bag and raced out the door. I didnât expect all of this to happen afterward.â
Rafe looked at you, his expression a mix of hurt and frustration. âYou shouldâve just told me. It wouldâve changed everything.â
âMaybe, but when I came back, you wanted nothing to do with me. All these thoughts raced through my mind, and I told myself you wouldnât want her either.â You had always known that Rafe dreamed of being a dadâsomeone who would show unconditional love while teaching his child to navigate lifeâs challenges. He longed to be the complete opposite of Ward, striving to give his children what he never had.
He never expected to find himself in this situation, especially not in his early twenties. He thought heâd have more time to prepare, but now he stood heartbroken, grappling with the reality that he had missed so much. Anger simmered within him as he wrestled with feelings of inadequacy, thoughts of not being a good father creeping in.
âHow could you do this to me?â Rafe stood up, gripping the dock railing as if it were his lifeline. âFUCK!â
âRafe, please calm down,â you pleaded, your heart racing.
âNo! You think you can hide this from me and then tell me to calm down?! Iâm her father, and you kept her from me. Where is she?â
âSheâs with my mom back on the mainland.â You stood up as he moved closer, towering over you. âYou go get her and bring her here. I want to meet her. You need to make up for all the time you stole from me.â His finger pointing in your face as her gets words out through his teeth gritting together. âOkay, I can go get her tonight. You can come by tomorrow at 2 to meet her.â He scoffed. âCome by? Youâre bringing my child into the cut? No way.â
âSorry that your daughter is half Pogue, Rafe, but if you want to meet her, youâre coming to where Iâm comfortable. This isnât a negotiation.â You could see the regret in his eyes for implying anything about your backgroundâit wasnât about you; it was about him already being in protective father mode. He knew the cut wasnât the safest place.
âFine, 2:00 to meet her. Iâll be there. See ya.â He then turned and drove off, leaving you standing there, heart racing.
As you made your way back inside, everyone rushed to meet you. âWhatâs going on?â âIs he seriously mad at you after everything heâs done?â âYouâre not going to trust him with her, right?!â The questions bombarded you at a hundred miles a minute.
You walked past them in silence, but JJ ran after you. âWhere are you going?â
âItâs five hours back to the mainland where my mom is. I gotta get going now if I want to be back at a good time.â You grabbed your bag and headed to the car.
âYouâve got to be joking! After everything he did, youâre giving in this easy?â You couldnât help but roll your eyes and smile at your brother. Partly because you loved how protective he was over you. Especially being 3 years younger.
âYou donât understand, JJ. Heâs still her father.â Ignoring the rest of his protests, you drove off.
In the back of your mind, you felt the weight of your secrets. You couldnât bring yourself to tell JJ that it was all your fault. He already despised Rafe, and you had convinced yourself that is Rafe wanted nothing to do with you he would want Vivienne either. You made him promise never to bring it up to Rafe, and shockingly, he hadnât. Only Sarah knew the full truth. Hiding this from Rafe had eaten away at you every day, but you were too cowardly to face it.
You returned home around 11:00 PM, a full 11 hours after the morningâs events. Thanking god for your easygoing daughter, you knew she would be asleep in her car seat, having fallen asleep at her usual time of 8:00 PM. Youâd have no trouble carrying her inside.
As you entered, everyone greeted you with soft whispers, crowding around you and Vivienne. JJ had made a makeshift crib in the room that used to be Lukeâs and had saved you some dinner after your long day. You gently placed Vivienne in her crib, then joined the group outside.
You never tried to defend Rafe to them; they saw him as the bad guy. So when they started hounding you with questions again, you simply said you were giving him a shot. You knew they didnât like him, but he deserved that much as her father. Nothing more. You finished eating and retreated inside, exhaustion weighing heavily on you from the dayâs events.

Saved by a Stranger
word count: 849
Pairing: Lando Norris x Reader
Summary: When a relentless stranger refuses to leave Y/n alone at a bar, she impulsively turns to a charming stranger ______________________________________________________________
The loud hum of chatter and clinking glasses filled the dimly lit bar, but it wasnât enough to drown out the unwelcome voice of the man who had been relentlessly hitting on you for the past half hour. No matter how many times you politely told him you werenât interested, he refused to take the hint, inching closer every time.
You needed a way out.
Your eyes darted around the room, desperately searching for an escape. Thatâs when you spotted him. A guy, just stepping inside, looking relaxed andâthank Godâfriendly. He was tall, with dark, tousled hair and a smile that seemed approachable. You didnât have time to hesitate. You needed help, and he was your best shot.
Without overthinking it, you pushed through the crowd and made a beeline for him. As you reached him, you slid your arms around his waist and pulled him into a hug, leaning up to whisper, "Please, just play along. Pretend you're my boyfriend. That guy won't leave me alone."
The stranger tensed for a second, clearly surprised, but his arm quickly wrapped around your shoulders in response, pulling you in protectively. He didn't say a word, but the warmth of his presence and the calm way he held you told you that he understood.
Just then, the guy who had been bothering you approached, his eyes narrowing as he noticed the strangerâs arm around you. "Who's this?" he sneered, clearly not thrilled about the interruption.
Your heart raced, hoping the guy you'd chosen would go along with it. Without missing a beat, the man next to you gave a cool, confident smile. "Her boyfriend," he said firmly, tightening his grip on your shoulder. His tone was calm but there was a warning in his voice. "Is there a problem?"
The guyâs eyes flicked from you to the man holding you, suspicion creeping into his expression. "Wait⌠are you Lando Norris?" he asked, recognition dawning on his face.
Lando Norris? You blinked, confused. The name sounded familiar, but in the heat of the moment, you didnât have time to place it. You kept your face as neutral as possible, still tucked against the strangerâs side, while your mind raced. Who the hell is Lando Norris?
"Yeah, I am," he replied easily, but his tone was dismissive, clearly not wanting to entertain the guy any longer. "Now, I suggest you leave my girlfriend alone."
The guy, now visibly flustered, mumbled something under his breath and backed off, casting one last glance at you before finally slinking away into the crowd. You breathed a sigh of relief, your body relaxing for the first time in what felt like forever.
Once the coast was clear, you quickly let go of the stranger and stepped back, feeling a little embarrassed now that the adrenaline was fading. "Thank you so much," you said, your voice shaky but sincere. "I didnât know what else to do."
He grinned down at you, looking more amused than anything. "No problem. Glad I could help."
Now that you had a second to really look at him, your brain caught up with what the other guy had said. Lando Norris. The name finally clicked. Lando Norris, as in the F1 driver?
Your eyes widened in realization, but you tried to play it cool. "Wait, youâre actually Lando Norris?" you asked, incredulous.
He chuckled, running a hand through his hair. "Guilty as charged."
You felt your cheeks flush with embarrassment. Of all the people to pick for this plan, you had unknowingly clung to a famous racing driver. "Oh my God, I had no idea⌠I didnât even recognize you. Iâm so sorry," you stammered.
He waved it off, still smiling. "No need to apologize. Iâm just glad I could help you out of that situation."
You were about to thank him again and make a quick exit before things got any more awkward, but Lando didnât seem in a hurry to let you go. "Wait," he said, his smile softening as he looked at you. "Do you want to grab a drink? I mean, now that your stalker is gone."
You blinked, caught off guard by the invitation. "Oh, umâŚ" You werenât sure if you were ready to stick around after everything that had just happened, but there was something about the way he was looking at youâgenuine, kindâthat made you pause.
"Donât feel pressured," he added quickly, sensing your hesitation. "I just think you're kinda cute, and, well, Iâd like to get to know you. But no worries if youâve had enough excitement for one night."
Your heart fluttered a little at his words. He was charming. And you had to admit, the idea of spending more time with him wasnât exactly unappealing. After a moment, you found yourself nodding.
"Okay, one drink," you said, smiling a little shyly.
Landoâs face lit up, and he motioned for the bartender. "One drink it is," he said.
As the bartender slid the drinks across the counter, you couldnât help but think that maybe, just maybe, tonight wasnât turning out so bad after all.

imagine like a true crime documentary on percy jackson like
"so this kid and his mom just disappeared one night, car crashed, blood on the scene no bodies"
"oh my god"
"his stepfather believed he was responsible for the whole thing. mind you this kid was TWELEVE"
"that sounds nuts honestly"
"right? so this kid and his mom go missing, step-dad blames him. kid turns up near New Jersey and a bus explodes."
"shut the fuck up? do they have photos of it?"
"yeah, so a tourist snapped his photo because he recognized him from the missing person's report. by the way, this kid's rap sheet is... it's insane. six schools six years. he was expelled the day of the disappearance."
"seriously?!"
"Yeah, I reached out to the school, but they had no further comment. so 5 shows up AGAIN, saint Louis Arch, another explosion. he FELL from the top of the arch."
"how the fuck did he survive that, what the hell?"
"I have no idea, but a family of three saw him jump from the top into the Mississippi."
"Thatâs insane."
"It gets more insane; so he shows up on a beach near Los Angeles, right after those major earthquakes? He and the two kids he was traveling with, I forgot to mention there are two other children in this story, but their identities have never been revealed."
"That is wild."
"Yeah! The Coast Guard drops them off because they were just... in the ocean."
"How on earth would three kids get there?"
"Some theories are they got swept out when the earthquake hit, they managed to cling to a buoy and wait for rescue."
"They were that far out?"
"Apperently!! So anyway, they get onto the beach. This dude in a trench coat starts blasting at them with a shotgun."
"Jesus Christ."
"And this kid somehow gets another gun, and they just have a shoot out on the beach."
"holy shit."
"Holy shit is right. The big guy manages to hit an exposed gas line from the earthquake, explodes like three cop cars, and by some miracle, no casualties."
"That is so lucky."
"YEAh! So it was determined that this dude orchestrated the whole thing! He was seen by waitresses in Denver outside of a diner, THREATENING all three kids."
"Really? fuck this guy that kid is a hero."
"He really is."
"So did they ever arrest him?"
"Thatâs what's so fucked up. They never found him."
"Are you effing kidding me?"
"Thatwhat I said when I read that like? Hello? big dude with a gun kidnapped 4 people. but that isn't the most confusing part of the story."
"Really?"
"So far, I haven't mentioned his mother and Step-father again. She turns up in their apartment."
"Just turns up?"
"She just turns up. but you know what? the step-father is reported missing."
"no fucking way dude"
"yes! and we still don't know what happened to him to this day."

Something I was thinking about lately is Tsuna's daddy issues. Specifically this frame.
Like that's such a loaded thing to think about. He's got so much resentment built up. Obviously, there's no direct connection to any of Tsuna's issues made but I think a few fun things can be said from this. In general, Tsuna clearly didn't have a father figure in his life which sorta results in him leaning on Reborn pretty often. Tsuna doesn't have a very stable self-esteem with him going from confident to "Aah, Gokuderas going to become disillusioned with me now that all my flaws have been pointed out." GOKUDERA. His FIRST SUBORDINATE. The guy who literally has been LOYAL FROM DAY ONE. Not that we consider them canon, but this happens also during the filler arcs where Daemon points out that Tsuna's not worth following to Gokudera and it seems to make Tsuna a little antsy. He DOES NOT THINK THE PEOPLE HE LOVES ARE GOING TO STAY WITH HIM, THIS IS LITERALLY RUINING MY LIFE. What Daddy Issues DO TO A MF. But that's a post for another day. But okay, back to Reborn, Reborn proves himself to be immovable from Tsuna's life. The story points out that Tsuna very much has two fathers. The one who won't leave and the one who is always gone. Tsuna really leans on Reborn throughout the series. "Reborn, what do I do?" Is a common thing he says, until Reborn is literally swept away from him against his will in Future arc where he's forced to think that he's half a person in Reborns absence. Meanwhile, we have Iemitsu who Tsuna has resentment built up towards, does not respect, and is forced to acknowledge in order to win his fight. Throughout the rainbow arc battle, they try to point out that Iemitsu is trying to teach Tsuna something here and unless I'm confused (someone feel free to tell me?) it's not really clear WHAT that is. And I've always thought that was neat, because it's obviously coming from Tsuna's inability to respect Iemitsu enough to want to learn anything from him. Yet when Reborn comes in, hell he doesn't even recognize him in his Adult form, but he politely listens and takes his advice seriously. In the grand scheme of the series, Reborn is a good teacher and father figure in his life. When Tsuna is made to feel like that he can't do anything in Reborn's absence during Future, Reborn takes a step back in that arc and lets him learn to survive without his guidance. (Notice how the training almost entirely disappears after Future.) He lets him learn how to be a person without him, only stepping in to help when Tsuna really needs it. When he's unable to light his flame, with Spanner, or when he's freaking out about the Irie reveal, the list really goes on. There's a scene I recall I believe when Yuni asks to join their group, Tsuna still turns to ask Reborn what to do, and Reborn redirects him by asking him what he wants to do. That it was his call as a boss. And Tsuna ends up making the decision to help her off his own accord.
It's with Reborn's guidance that Tsuna ends up learning to be his own person, it's this guidance that allows him to make the decision and gather everyone on his own accord when it was Reborn's turn to be shaky and give up. Where Tsuna tells him that he's got this under control, without his guidance. To just watch him. "you've always knew I could win before." It's this arc where Reborn's pride in Tsuna shines. Multiple times. "Surprise me again, Tsuna." And he does. It's in Reborn's second absence where Tsuna feels himself get shaky again, feels the old feelings of poor self image crop up, that Reborn comes back. Because Reborn is not Iemitsu, and he wasn't someone who left him in that house alone forever. Because he's still young and has much to learn before he's ready to do this on his own. It's at this he feels a little embarrassed about how glad he is that Reborn came back, but then recalls the "mean words" that Reborn said before leaving. It's here that Reborn tells him it's a good thing he hasn't changed much. Another sliver of guidance that Tsuna takes in from the figure in his life that won't leave him alone in that house.

On Swanseaâs (often understated) role in Mouthwashing
I say this as a big swansea fan but I donât rlly understand why ppl are acting like heâs not also complicit in what happened to Anya? AUs where âAnya tells Swanseaâ and he jumps to violently defend her donât make sense to me because canonically she does tell him, as he admits to Jimmy. But swansea represents another way of interacting with the capitalist heteropatriarchy that ALSO harms victims: holistic jadedness and resignation.
Swansea is across the board unkind to the Tulpar crew. We canât forget that he calls anya a âso-called nurseâ
and says this to Jimmy, which (if unintentionally) reiterates Jimmyâs own warped perception of Anyaâs usefulness and competence. This allows Jimmy to feel justified in his imagination of the nurseâs inferiority. Swanseaâs clear lack of respect for Jimmy does less to hurt Jimmy than his lack of respect for Anya harms Anya, because at the end of the day, Swanseaâs attitude is contextualized by the violent culture it exists in and he does nothing to reconcile with that when Jimmy becomes the captain. His resignation can thus be weaponized even by Jimmy, a man who Swansea disrespects but whose power he doesnât try to meaningfully jeopardize, because his across-the-board disdain punches people already marginalized by the environment twice as hard as it does those with power.
Swansea doesnât position himself as an ally, he positions himself as willfully uninvolved in everything, an observer to the shitshow ride to hell. Just because he dislikes Jimmy doesnât mean he aligns with Anya. He makes it clear that heâs not on her side, either. After a life of doing what he felt was expected of him, Swansea on the Tulpar looks out for Swansea and Swanseaâs comfort. In trying to situate himself outside of the politics of it all as an older white man, he simply allows them to play out. The toxic culture keeps existing, playing out in the microcosm that is this freighter, and Swansea in all his experience recognizes that shit has hit the fan and elects to coast through it, even explicitly numbing himself to it by breaking his sobriety. It is, of course, hard to force yourself to be soberâto see clearly. But had Swansea forced himself to get involved sooner, he might have set a precedent for Daisuke to recognize Jimmyâs abuse, which could have saved Daisukeâs life as well as created a safe space for Anya. But Swanseaâs inaction forces both victims to confront an abuser on their own, unable to reap benefits from his privilege and experience.
Jimmy is clearly intimidated by swansea in a way he is not by Anya, Daisuke, or a post-crash Curly (Swansea, for example, physically manifests as an aggressor in Jimmyâs âresponsibility sequencesâ, and Jimmy ties Swansea up to avoid what he sees as the real possibility of pushback that he doesnât conceive of Anya being able to do). Swansea has a power he does not act on or with until it is far, far too late. In fact, he acknowledges in his final monologue that he was dissatisfied with the discomfort with opening his eyes and living an exemplary âgood manâs life. The best days of his life are ones in which heâs belligerently drunkâdays in which he didnât have to hold himself accountable. He regrets the life he spent performing for higher-ups and we watch him reject it by scorning Captain Jimmy, but he also doesnât want to be held responsible for helping other people when itâs their turn to endure the expectations and violence from similar (if not the same) higher powers. Tragically, he possesses the hindsight to recognize that how he acted on the Tulpar consequently wasnât what Daisuke needed out of a role model, leading to Daisuke becoming a victim. His hands-off approach to emotional engagement with his young male intern (another symptom of patriarchal gender norms) may have been to avoid Daisuke turning out miserable and jaded like himself, but it doesnât actually indicate to an already-confused Daisuke what the dangers of that attitude are. Swansea never admits his own shortcomings in a tangible way which, had they come from a man with experience and prestige like himself, may have shifted that culture that failed Anya. She comes to him with the story not because he has situated himself as any earnest friend, but likely out of desperation on a ship Jimmy now controls.
When we allow âthe machineâ (Swanseaâs own words) to beat us down to the point that we donât find it productive to challenge unjust power dynamics, we become complicit. I think too many people get hung up on his disdain for Jimmy and Jimmyâs fear of Swansea as a marker of allyship with Anya, but the truth is that Swansea. Is a bad ally. Heâs hardly one at all. His long stint in the demanding capitalist environment molded a perfectly complicit result out of him, as it aspires to do, even if Swansea bitterly recognizes that. Jimmyâs overt violence from a position of power is a different and much more brutal approach to abuse enabled by people who have been left too tired and bitter to care that he does it. A man who couldâve intimidated and even threatened Jimmy is too resigned to try until there is literally nobody but himself left to fight for, which is an attitude carefully cultivated among the lower rungs of hierarchies to keep the top safe. Swansea in particular seems very unhappy with the capitalistic, patriarchal expectations laid out for him as a father, husband, and laborer. His decision to just stop trying and spare himself the grief instead of questioning why those expectations exist and how they would hurt the others onboard only delays him being directly targeted by Jimmy and doesnât interrupt the latterâs violence.
Not a single man in mouthwashing is innocent in Anyaâs victimhood. This is a statement tentatively uninclusive of Daisuke, because I think the game very deliberately positions him outside of manhood through his youth and thus struggling with the concept of âfitting inâ to the patriarchy. Curly, Jimmy, and Swansea all represent different failures that ultimately perpetuate Anyaâs suffering and force her to defend herself and finally take her life into her own hands. A holistic analysis of rape culture in MW necessarily engages with all three of them. Only not being a friend and ally to rapists and other male abusers isnât enough, and Swansea proves it.
#mouthwashing#not sure I worded this as well as I wouldâve liked to because I just woke up#but Iâm standing by it for now#I think people donât think enough about what swansea represents in the story and thus water him down#but with such a small cast we have to realize that everyone is deliberately written with meaning#maybe Iâll delete this later if I feel it was misarticulated#again I like swansea this isnât meant to start some swansea hate train#Iâm just glad that ppl are understanding Curlyâs role as an enabler and I want that critical thinking to extend#even to characters we are inclined to like on their face because theyâre also mean to Jimmy#.txt đ#mouthwashing game#swansea mouthwashing#this post is dedicated to my good friend al who is the resident swansea guy in my mind and talked thru this w me#ily my goat

A/N: I'm baaaaack! I was randomly inspired by this concept and couldn't stop thinking about it until it was done. Please know I wrote this with as much respect to sex work as I could, but there might be some inaccuracies just because I'm not too familiar with the industry nowadays. Until next time! xx
-------------------
You met Eddie at a party. He was a friend of a friendâs plus one, so he didnât really know anybody, and you noticed nobody was talking to him, so you went over there and struck up a conversation.
Eddie was sweet. Eddie was goofy. Eddie was a little rough around the edges, but ultimately gave you good vibes. You ended up talking to him for quite a while, and when the night came to an end, you realized you didnât want to stop talking to him.Â
It wasnât, like, a crush thing - although, he was handsome and definitely crush material - it was more that it was hard making friends as an adult, and you liked being around him. So many times, youâd met people and left them just as fast, and you didnât want that to happen with Eddie.
You gave him your Instagram, which he followed, and then you requested to follow him back, which he accepted.Â
You didnât talk much for a month or two. He didnât really post anything, but would comment or react to your posts and stories. Most often, you complained about your living situation - your landlord and your roommates were awful, and eventually your lease came to an end. You jokingly posted - âwhoâs gonna help me find a new apartment?â
Eddie replied - I donât know if youâd be interested, but I might be able to help.
It turned out that Eddie had a room vacant in his two-bedroom apartment. The idea seemed kind of out there at first, but you realized it wasnât much different than searching for roommates online. Besides, this was safer, since you knew Eddie already, and you couldnât afford an apartment by yourself, soâŚ
You went over to look at his place, and holy shit. It was incredible there. Clean, although slightly cluttered with his various belongings - movie posters, music, video games, and the like. Also, the rent he was asking for was absurdly low. It felt like a no-brainer.
âEddie, this is - I mean, this is perfect,â you told him. He grinned.Â
âOkay,â he said with a nod. âUhh, thereâs just one thing I feel like I should tell you before you move in.â
âWhat is it?â you asked. Suddenly, you saw Eddie get nervous, and you couldnât possibly predict what would warrant that reaction. He took a deep breath.Â
âMaybe you already know, but it feels like you donât know? So I just - ugh. If you donât know, I think I gotta tell you.â You stared at him, confused.
âEddie, I have no idea what the hell youâre talking about.â
He smirked slightly, then sighed as his hands fell to his sides.
âIâŚdoâŚporn?â he said at last. You stared at him blankly as you processed this.
âIâm gonna need you to elaborate,â you replied. âLike OnlyFans?â
âSometimes,â he answered. âLook, I - Iâve done it for a few years, and I guess Iâm kinda popular. Itâs why a lot of the time, people stay away from me, because it puts them off. Or, theyâre embarrassed about recognizing me, which I guess I understand. But anyway, thatâs why I was surprised you never said anything or asked me about it. Judging by your reaction, Iâm guessing you had no idea.âÂ
Huh.
âIâŚreally didnât.âÂ
It wasnât that you were judging him - not at all - but living with someone who did that sort of thing brought up all kinds of questions. Eddieâs anxiety returned.Â
âAh, shit. That ruined everything, didnât it?â He ran his hands through his hair. âI just - Itâs how I make money, but itâs not my whole life or anything. But I felt like you should at least know about it if you were gonna live with me.â
âDo you do any of it here?â you asked. Eddie shrugged.
âSometimes.â
You nodded slowly.
âLike, in the living room or just your room?â His eyes narrowed as he tried to assess how you felt through your line of questioning.
âUhh - my room. I mean, I guess there was one time on the couch, but for the record Iâve gotten a new couch since then. Oh, and if you move in and donât want me filming anything here, I wonât. Not even solo stuff. Shit. Sorry if this makes you uncomfortable, I just have a pretty casual view on sex and I kind of forget that not everybody -â
âI think Iâm okay with this,â you decided.Â
âReally?â
âYeah.â You looked around the beautiful apartment that would save you a crap ton of money, and you realized you couldn't pass this up. Besides, you werenât a prude. âMy last roommates had loud sex all the time, and our walls were so thin it felt like I was intruding, somehow.â Eddie laughed, his anxiety easing slightly. âPlus, I donât care what you do. I bet itâs good money. As long as Iâm not in any of the videos, weâre good to go.â
âWow,â he responded, stunned. âI honestly didnât expect you to be so cool about it.â You shrugged.
âJust donât eat my food and we should be fine,â you concluded.Â
âDeal,â he replied. You shook his hand, and thus began your time as Eddie Munsonâs roommate.
-
Ohhhh, this was a mistake.
Living with Eddie was a total breeze for the first two months. He was respectful and didnât talk about work at all unless you asked him about it, which you didnât. You both were pretty busy people so you didnât even see each other that often.Â
But then, two months in, you got curious and watched one of his videos.
Holy. Shit.
First of all, you couldnât believe youâd never stumbled across him before in your searches, because he was, like, really popular. Heâd undersold himself, for sure. Although, you didnât watch porn that often (you preferred reading it or listening to it), because usually there was something off about it. Like, the women felt like they were acting, or they werenât even trying to hide that they were acting and were really bad at it, or the dirty talk was weird, etc etc.Â
Eddieâs videos were not like that.Â
(Yeah, after the first one you watched a few more).
Look, the man knew what he was doing. He had chemistry with everyone, and something about it was captivating. Itâs not like you were getting off to them - that would have been weird - but youâd be lying if you said it didnât turn you the fuck on.
He hadnât been lying either about the locations. None of the videos youâd watched were recorded at the apartment.Â
You werenât sure if you would have cared if they had been, though. Like, as long as any shared furniture was cleaned after, it wasnât a huge deal, right? Pretty much every couch anywhere you go has been used for sex at some point. So, this wasnât much different.
Anyway, watching Eddieâs videos had been a mistake, because now when you saw him in the morning, pouring himself a cup of coffee in his robe, you knew what he looked like naked.
Fuck.
âMorning,â he said casually. âWant some?â You nodded, and then he took another mug from the cupboard and poured coffee into it for you. When you went to the kitchen counter to grab it from him, his knuckles brushed yours, and you jumped a little at the touch. Thankfully, he didnât seem to notice. You went to the fridge and took the creamer from the shelf, then topped off your coffee with it.Â
âHowâd you sleep?â you asked.Â
âGood,â he replied. âOh, so Iâm going to the grocery store in a bit. You need anything?â You took a sip of your coffee before answering.Â
âUhhh, yeah, but I was actually planning on going myself,â you said.Â
âWe could go together,â he suggested.
You took another sip of coffee as a way to stall, even though it was too hot. You had no reason from his perspective to say no - the two of you had gone on errands together a few times, and it had been fine. Besides, you legitimately had to go to the grocery store, so if you said no and went later it would just look suspicious.
âSounds good,â you agreed with a smile. He smiled back, then nodded.Â
âGreat, just let me know when youâre ready.â
You finished your coffee in your room, because being around him was making you nervous. It was so dumb, feeling this way. Nothing had changed. You were the same people youâd been yesterday. Watching that video was an incredibly poor choice, but at the same time, how were you supposed to refrain? You lived with a guy who was famous for getting women off. You wondered how you hadnât known any of this when youâd first met him, but then pieces came together. The reason he was alone at the party. Why his Instagram was private. Why he didnât have a roommate.Â
When you agreed to move in, you promised yourself you wouldnât be weird about it, and now here you were, hiding in your room because you were too awkward to maintain small talk with your roommate.Â
Eventually, you got dressed and psyched yourself up for what was to come. You just had to get those videos out of your mind, thatâs all.Â
Easy enough, right?
Wrong!
âDid you listen to the song I sent you yesterday?â he asked as you walked to the car.
âUh, no, not yet,â you replied. He clutched his heart as if you had broken it, then laughed.
âOkay, well then I guess I know what weâre listening to on the way.â
Once again, all of this should have been easy like it always was. But you couldnât stop staring at his hands on the steering wheel, the rings on his fingers, and - God forbid - his lips. And his eyes? Forget it.Â
âGood song,â you said, staring straight ahead at the road.
âOf course it is, I picked it out,â he teased. You saw him glance at you in your peripheral vision. âEverything okay? Youâre quiet today.â
âEverythingâs fine,â you blurted out, maybe too quickly to be convincing.Â
âOoookay,â he responded. âWell, I donât believe you, but you can keep your secrets.â
You remained slightly awkward and flustered around him, particularly any time he touched you. Heâd tap you on the shoulder to get your attention, or reach across you to grab a bunch of bananas that you were standing in front of, and it came to a point where you told him you had to go off on your own to grab something just because you knew you were totally giving yourself away. But after a few more minutes to yourself in the chips aisle, you felt relatively normal again.Â
Disaster only really struck on the way home.Â
âSo, this tattoo place on the right,â he said. âThatâs where I usually go. The guy who works there is incredible. His designs are sick as hell.â
âHow many do you have?â you asked. He scrunched his eyebrows as he thought about it.
âI guess it depends on what youâd count as one,â he replied. âLike, I have almost a half-sleeve on my right arm, but I didnât get it all done at once.â
âCount them however youâd like.â He thought about it some more, then shrugged.Â
âI have a lot of them, and I always want more.âÂ
âIâve heard itâs addictive,â you replied. âSo, what would you get next?â
âIâm thinking about adding to the one on my thigh,â he answered.Â
âThe witch?â you asked. He raised his eyebrows. The tattoo on his thigh was pretty iconic, actually. It was a woman on a broomstick with her tits out. Not something you would ever personally get, but Eddie pulled it off. âAre you going to give her a friend? Or a bra?â
Eddie snorted laughing, then covered his mouth in an attempt to stifle it. It didnât work, and he burst into laughter again.
âCome on, my joke wasnât that funny,â you said, rolling your eyes. Eddieâs laughter finally faded enough for him to explain.Â
âI never told you what the tattoo was,â he informed you. Your eyes widened as you realized your mistake.
âI - um -â
âThatâs whatâs going on! You looked me up!â he exclaimed. Despite your absolute humiliation, he seemed to only find it amusing. âDonât get all shy about it. Itâs fine. Iâm honestly impressed you held out this long.â
âCan we not talk about it?â you asked, trying to awkwardly laugh with him but mostly wishing you were six feet underground.Â
âWhatever you want, roomie,â he replied with a grin. âIâm just glad I didnât do anything wrong.â You bit your lip, then released it.
âNo, you did pretty much everything exactly right,â you responded, deciding to lean into the awkward situation. Eddie licked his lips and smirked.Â
âGood to hear,â he said, smug. He pulled into your apartment complex, parked the car, and took the keys from the ignition. You felt like you couldnât breathe in there, so you rushed out of the car and made a beeline for your front door as soon as you were able. He caught up as you worked the lock open, and you could feel his eyes on your shaking hands. âYou know, youâre cute when you blush,â he said.
The door unlocked and you pushed it open, but itâs not like the apartment you shared with him was going to be any less charged. You tried to continue acting less nervous than you were.Â
âOh, youâre flirting with me now?â you teased, leaving your keys on the counter. His voice continued behind you.
âI flirt with everyone,â he said. âSorry, Iâll reel it in. Just, we were talking about -â
âNo, I know,â you interrupted. You turned around, deciding to face this situation head on, since you were already knee-deep in it anyway. âOkay, letâs talk about it.â He raised his eyebrows at you.
âAbout what I do?â
âUh-huh.â
âAlright. What do you wanna know?â
You took a deep breath and asked something that youâd been wondering for the last two months.
âIs it weird, knowing that most people you know have seen you naked?âÂ
Eddie didnât seem fazed by the question in the slightest - not that you expected him to be. He shrugged.
âI like the way I look,â he replied. âIt actually doesnât bother me at all.â You clicked your tongue to your teeth and asked another question.
âDoes anything about it bother you?â To your surprise, he took the question seriously, taking his time as he came up with a response.
âIt definitely feels like I live in a different world a lot of the time,â he answered. âLike, I go to work, I meet the person Iâm supposed to fuck, and then I do whatever I gotta do to get them off. Thatâs all it is, really. After a while, it just feels like going through the motions. The excitement isnât really there anymore. On the other hand, I make a shit ton of money to have sex with beautiful people, soâŚâ
You tried to ignore the way the heat rose to your cheeks as he talked about work. From what youâd seen, it was clear that not one person had faked their enjoyment for him. Of course, it made you a little curious what it would be like, but not curious enough to do anything about it.
At least, not yet.
âYouâve never, like, caught feelings?â you asked. âOr maybe gotten coffee with one of them? Wait, do you ever have sex off camera?â
âWooow, youâve really been thinking about this, huh?â he teased, jumping up to sit on the counter beside you. Being next to him was starting to feel comfortable again, now that you were speaking freely. âUhh, well for starters, I donât have sex off-camera very often, honestly. My job doesnât make it that easy to date. And yeah, Iâve met up with partners after if I feel like weâd get along, but I donât know. It always feels more like friendship than anything else.â You cocked your head curiously.
âBut you had sex with them,â you pointed out, confused.
âYouâve never fucked one of your friends before?â he asked. You shook your head. âOh. Well, like I said, my perception of this kind of thing is a little skewed.â
You nodded slowly, then realized those were all of your main questions. Talking about it actually did make things a whole lot better.Â
âThank you for being so open about it,â you told him.
âThank you for sticking around,â he replied. âAnd seriously, you can ask me anything. Or, we can never talk about it again. Up to you.â
âThanks,â you said with a smile. âIâll let you know.â
He went off to do his thing and you did yours, and that was that. Things went back to normal again, more or less - at least for another week.Â
The problem was, you couldnât stop thinking about it. When you were trying to sleep at night, your curiosity coursed through you to search his name again, and it became increasingly difficult not to succumb to it. You didnât want to cross that line, though. It felt like a necessary boundary to have.Â
Instead, you did what you usually did. You read, you listened, you pictured things in your head.
Your mind always wandered to your roommate anyway.Â
One night, Eddie had left, and he was supposed to be gone until morning. You used it as an opportunity to walk around naked, watch romantic comedies on the couch, and listen to music heâd hate as loudly as you wanted. It was glorious.Â
You were in your room dancing in a t-shirt and underwear, and it was turning out to be an excellent night. Eventually, your friend called, so you chatted with her for a bit on speaker phone as you put away your laundry. Naturally, Eddie came up.Â
âOkay,â she said. âThereâs a really simple solution here, and itâs to fuck your hot Sex-God of a roommate.â You rolled your eyes.
âThatâs not simple, and itâs not a solution,â you replied. âAnd our relationship isnât like that. I canât believe you looked him up.â
âOf course I looked him up! One of us had to!â your friend shouted back. âAnd, can I just say - damn.â
âYeah, yeah, I know,â you responded with a sigh. âIâm just trying to beâŚrespectful.â
âIt sounds like he doesnât care at all,â your friend noted. âBut I get it, I guess. Youâre a lot stronger than Iâll ever be.â You laughed.
âThank you, I think I deserve a medal for going through this while also not having had sex in six months.â
âAbsolutely,â your friend agreed. âAlright, girlie, Iâm headed to bed. Love you.â
âLove you too.â
You hung up the phone and hung a few sweaters up in your closet, then walked into the kitchen to grab yourself a drink. The problem was, when you got there, you realized that Eddie had beat you to it.
âWant something?â he asked, bent over into the fridge.
âFuck!â you yelled, jumping back. âWhat are you -? Why are you - ? When did you -?â Eddie laughed and grabbed two beers from the fridge, then closed the door and handed you one.Â
âRelax,â he said. âMy plans fell through so I came home early. I like your pants, by the way.â You looked down at yourself to realize you werenât wearing any. You chuckled, then pushed him away from you.
âDick,â you said, cracking the can open. He did the same, and then you clinked your beers together before each taking a sip. âThank god Iâm wearing some clothes. I wasnât a few hours ago.âÂ
âThatâs hot,â he teased.Â
âShut up.â You turned to go back to your room so you could put real pajamas on, and were confused when he followed you in.Â
âYour friend has a point by the way,â Eddie said. You froze in your tracks, then pivoted to face him.
âWhat?â you asked, your stomach dropping to the floor. âWait, how much of that conversation did you hear?â
âUhhh, well I definitely heard that whole last part about me,â he replied. âSix months, by the way? I agree, you do deserve an award for that.âÂ
Jesus Christ.
âOh my God I have to move out,â you said. Eddie laughed, then pulled you closer to him by the wrist. You felt your breath hitch at being so close to him. Your eyes met his, and you immediately felt hypnotized.Â
âListen,â he said, his grip on your wrist burning into your skin. âFeel free to tell me to fuck off, but six months is a long time, and I could help out if you wanted.â
âEddie, are you seriously suggestingâŚ?â The corner of his lip twitched up slightly.
âIt wouldnât mean anything, obviously. I just know youâre curious, and since youâre going through a dry spell or whatever I could be of service. And then it would be out of the way, and you could move on.â
You stared at him, having a million thoughts at once.
Yes, you wanted that very much. The thought of it alone was already making your core ache and throb for him. You knew he would blow your mind, and it had been so longâŚ
Then again, you also knew it was a horrible idea. You both lived together, and having sex would complicate things. Most of all, you knew that - despite what he was saying - it would mean something, and you wouldnât move on. He could, but you couldnât. Thatâs not how it worked for you.
âI canât,â you said. He nodded and dropped your hand.
âAlright,â he replied casually. âThen you should go fuck someone else so you stop thinking about me.â
âIâm not thinking about -â
âGood night,â he smirked.
He left your room, and you heard him walk to his own room and shut the door.Â
He was probably right. You needed to break your dry spell. So, you did what any sensible person would do and re-downloaded Tinder. By the following night, youâd found a suitable guy to hook up with.
You invited him to your apartment instead of going to his, because it felt safer. And Eddie unshockingly had no problems with it, so that wasnât an issue. He said he was going to stay in his room and listen to music, and to just text him when you were done.Â
SoâŚyou did that.Â
The sex was bad. Like, remarkably bad. The man clearly had relied on his good looks and big dick and felt like that was enough. The worst part was that he thought he was nailing it the whole time. He was only over for about 45 minutes total, after which you told him you had to get to bed. He seemed disappointed, but also heâd just had sex so he wasnât too bummed about it.Â
You texted Eddie, and within a few minutes you heard his door open and his footsteps approaching your room from down the hall.Â
âDamn, heâs gone already?â he teased, staring out the window to see your Tinder hook-up driving away. âThatâs a shame. I wanted to meet the man that caused you to do the worst fake orgasm sounds Iâve ever heard.âÂ
âEddie!â you yelled, wrapping your robe tighter around yourself. âYou said you wouldnât listen!âÂ
âI got curious! Sue me!â he shouted back. âNow weâre even. Curiosity got the best of both of us.â
You stared at him for a moment, then realized he was right. You sighed.
âFine,â you said. âThanks for recommending I do that, by the way. Now my body count is higher and my dignity is shattered.â Eddie laughed.
âBody counts are bullshit anyway,â he replied. âSorry he couldnât get you there.â
âGuys usually canât,â you told him. Which was true - you mainly could only come using toys, and most guys seemed intimidated at the idea of using them. Like it was emasculating or something.
âI bet I could,â Eddie said with a smirk.
âI bet you could, too,â you agreed. âIâm gonna go shower.â
âHave fun,â he teased. You rolled your eyes and made your way to the bathroom.Â
Showering did clear your mind a bit, but made you no less sexually frustrated. You tried to touch yourself, but werenât getting anywhere, so you just got yourself clean instead. You put a fresh pair of underwear on and wrapped your robe around yourself, then headed back to your room.Â
Eddie was right beside your door - leaning against the wall, arms crossed. He eyed you up and down, then took a step towards you.
âI have a question,â he said.Â
âUm, okay.â
âHave you ever gotten off to my videos?âÂ
He asked it so casually, you needed a minute to even comprehend what he was saying, and even longer to realize he wasnât kidding.
âEddie, what the hell?â you replied. You tried to maintain your composure, but your attempts were futile. Especially when he looked at you like that.Â
âIâve just been wondering,â he continued. âCuriosity, thatâs all.â You swallowed.Â
âNot to any of your videos,â you answered.Â
âTo the thought of me?â
Yes. Not intentionally, but yes.
Your breathing became shaky, his words enough to get you worked up again.
âWhat are you doing?â you asked, your voice soft.Â
âIâm helping you out,â he responded. âSalvaging your night.â He hooked his finger into the tie around your waist, then tugged you even closer to him. âI mean, if you want me to. The offer is there.â
Fuck it. You were tired of fighting your attraction to him. You nodded.Â
âOkay,â you said. âLetâs just get it over with.â He smiled. âHow do we start? Should I lie down? Is there anything off limits? What do I-â
âDonât think about it,â he said, answering your line of questioning by silencing you. âGet on the bed.â He let go of you so you could walk into your room and follow his orders. You watched him rub his hands together and crack his knuckles as if he was getting ready to go to work - which made sense, all things considered. Then, he followed your footsteps to your bed and made his way towards you until he was settled beside you.
His hand trailed up your body until it settled in your hair. He gripped it tightly so he could angle your head to the side, then leaned over and pressed light kisses to your neck that sent shivers down your spine.Â
âDo you like things on the gentle side or more rough?â he asked against your skin.Â
âHealthy mix of both,â you answered. He hummed in approval, then licked a stripe up your neck until his lips were to your ear.Â
âTalk to me during, okay?â he said. âTell me what you want.â
Okay, this was officially worth it no matter the consequences.
âI like what youâre doing,â you responded. You felt his mouth return to where it had been before, except this time he found a sensitive spot and sucked on it. You gasped, so he did it again, harder.Â
âHickies?â he asked.Â
âIâd rather not have them, but also please donât stop,â you muttered. Your eyes fluttered closed as you enjoyed the sensations. His lips were soft but firm, and every point of contact with him felt like it was on fire.
âI can work with that.âÂ
While he continued kissing and nipping at your neck, his hand left your hair to snake down and pull the tie on your robe until it was undone.Â
You expected him to take your robe off like he was unwrapping a gift - quickly and without precision - but instead he took his time with you. He was slow and deliberate with every action, opening you beneath him little by little and addressing each new exposed part of you before moving on and continuing. He groped at one of your breasts while kissing you, then kissed down your neck and to your other breast. His lips settled on your left nipple while his fingers worked the right one - pinching, sucking, biting, driving you absolutely crazy.Â
âFuck,â you moaned. âN-need more.â He released your nipple from his mouth with a pop.
âMore what?â
âEverything,â you whined. You would have been embarrassed by how into this you were, but you were too busy enjoying to feel anything other than pleasure. âMore. Harder.â
âMmm,â he said. He adjusted his technique, now grasping at you more intensely. He grabbed the soft skin at your waist and squeezed, then curled around to cradle your lower back. His lips returned to your neck, and this time he bit and sucked so hard you let out a yelp.
âToo much?â he asked, leaning back to gauge the look on your face.
âNo,â you responded. âI love it.â He nodded and got back to it, continuing to suck at your pulse point while his knee dipped between your thighs to push them apart. He bent his leg to slowly drag his knee up until it reached your center. It rubbed against you, hard, causing you to let out a gasp.
âOh, shit,â you said, your voice desperate. âDo that again.â So he did, and then you found yourself grinding against his knee at your own pace. You were definitely going to leave a wet spot on his jeans, but he didnât seem to care. Your breathing picked up, and you clutched at his hand so you could lead it to the band of your panties. He slid his fingers beneath the fabric and down your slit, spreading you open and exploring the parts of you most slick with desire. He circled your clit while he kissed your collarbone, slipped one finger inside you as he bit at your breast, then added a second finger and rolled them inside you until they found the soft, spongy spot that caused your eyes to roll back in your head. His mouth latched onto your nipple, tongue circling it in time with his thumb down below. You rocked your hips against his hand, needing more pressure. You needed him to fuck you, actually, but he seemed to be in no rush of doing so.Â
Your stomach tightened as you felt yourself rising for him. He was going to make you come already, when he hadnât even been touching you for that long.Â
Suddenly, you were cresting over the edge. It happened so fast you didnât have time to prepare or warn Eddie, although he seemed to know it was happening before you did.Â
You gasped and moaned and cried out his name, your vision completely blacked out. Your hips continued to buck and your legs started shaking. Eventually, the waves crashed and you were centered in your body again.Â
âOkay, wow,â you said breathlessly.Â
âThat was too easy,â he responded. You scoffed.Â
âYeah, yeah, you win,â you replied. âYouâre just as amazing in bed as you look like you would be-â
âNo,â he continued. âI mean - that was too easy, and I like a challenge, so Iâm gonna see how many times I can make you do that.â
Within seconds, he was making his way down your body, pulling your underwear off of you, grabbing your ankles, and tugging your body towards him. He laid your legs on either side of his shoulders and dove his head between your thighs, kissing the spot that was still extremely sensitive. It was overstimulating, but felt so good you wouldnât dare ask him to stop. He ate you out like he was poisoned and you were the antidote. He plunged his tongue into your hole as his hands spread you apart as far as youâd go. He kissed back up to your clit and settled there, teeth latching around it gently. Then, his fingers slid back inside you, and he continued to suck on you, and somehow you were already going to come again. One of your hands found purchase in his hair, and you pulled his head against you even more. The other hand clutched the sheets beside you desperately, crumpling them into a fist as you unraveled against his mouth.Â
You hadnât even realized how tightly your thighs were clenching around his head until you released him, but he didnât move from where heâd been. He continued finger-fucking you and flicking his tongue side to side against your clit all the way through your orgasm and beyond. There was no recovery period or moment of relaxation. It hurt to have him there, a little bit, but not in a bad way. He bit at the fleshy part of your thigh so he had a second to catch his breath, but kept kissing you everywhere he had access and treating your body like it was his most precious belonging.Â
Because in that moment, you did belong to him.Â
Your third orgasm immediately followed the second. It was like he was destroying you - breaking down every wall youâd ever put up leaving you an absolute mess underneath him. His motions slowed, ever in tune with your body. It was like he could read your mind.Â
âHoly shit,â you whispered. He sat up straight and removed his fingers from you, immediately putting them in his mouth to suck them clean. âYouâre really good at that.â He grinned, his mouth and chin shining.Â
âItâs my favorite part,â he replied. âAre you tapping out?â
âNo, I -â Your head was spinning, but you absolutely did not want this to stop. âI just need a minute.â He chuckled, wiped his mouth, then pressed a quick kiss to your ankle. He moved your legs off him and back onto the bed, and then he laid down beside you and joined you in staring at the ceiling.Â
âSo,â he said, his hands clasped on his stomach. âHow are you feeling?â
âBetter,â you replied. Your gaze traveled down his stomach to the very noticeable bulge in his jeans. âSo, oral really does it for you, huh?â Eddie turned to see your eyes fixed on his crotch. He exhaled sharply - the start of a laugh - then nodded.Â
âYeah. Iâm good at it and I like it. But, I donât know whether Iâm good at it because I like it or if I like it because Iâm good at it.â
âA real chicken versus egg kind of thing,â you said. He laughed.Â
âExactly.âÂ
âWhat else do you like?â you asked.Â
âHmm?â He seemed genuinely confused by the question.
âI mean, what else do you like? Not considering your partnerâs pleasure, just your own.â He narrowed his eyes.
âWhy do you ask?â
âBecause weâre about to have sex,â you replied.
âAre we?â he teased. You rolled your eyes.
âAnswer me,â you told him. âI want it to be good for you, too.â
âBut that wasnât the deal,â he countered, sitting up. âIâm doing this for you, not me.â
âWhy canât it be both?â He still looked at you as if you werenât making any sense at all. âEddie, come on. Just tell me what you like. Youâve never been shy about sex stuff in the past, clearly -â
âI like being bit,â he answered quickly. âEspecially on the neck and lips. And, like, the crook of my elbow for some reason?â You nodded, urging him to continue. He sighed, then laid back down beside you. âI like the idea of someone using me just to get off - degradation, treating me like Iâm nothing, all that jazz.â
âThe idea of it?â you repeated, turning on your side to face him. âYouâve never tried it?â
âNot really,â he responded. âIâm kinda known for the soft-dom thing I have going on, so thatâs usually what I end up doing.âÂ
âHmm.â You thought about his answer in the silence that followed, until he spoke again.
âYou know whatâs weird?â
âWhat?â
âNobodyâs really asked me that before.â
You looked at him, completely baffled at the situation. This poor man had only focused on his partners this whole time. No wonder heâd grown jaded to it.
âItâs been a minute,â you said. âI think Iâm ready to keep going.â
âYeah, okay.â
You could visibly see him shift back into work-mode. His eyes lit up and focused in on you again, and his hands went to his belt buckle to unfasten it. You sat up and kneeled on the bed, then helped him take his pants and boxers off and tossed them to the floor. You shimmied your robe off your shoulders and let that fall to the floor as well. He sat up in the bed with his back to the headboard so he could take his shirt off, and now you were both completely naked.
Woah.
You stared at his body, mesmerized by all the ink in his skin. You traced a finger delicately over the tattoos on his chest, shoulders, and forearms. He watched you appreciatively, a soft smile on his face, his expression peaceful. You reached over to your bedside table drawer and grabbed a condom from the box you kept there.
Then, you straddled him.Â
âHey, wait -â he said. âLook, I know what you wanna do for me, but itâs probably not gonna happen. Like, I donât usually come from sex unless I help myself out.â
You kind of saw that in one of the videos. Heâd been going with this one woman for like a half hour straight and nothing.
âI want to try,â you told him. He still didnât look convinced. âCome on, you think only porn stars are good in bed?â
âI just donât want you to feel bad if -â
You leaned in and kissed him, hungrily, your hands tangling in his hair. Yeah, heâd taken care of you, but you were far from satiated. You wanted him badly, and you wanted to make him feel just as good as heâd made you feel.
You could still taste yourself on his swollen lips, and thatâs when you realized the two of you had never actually kissed before. You broke from him, concerned that youâd crossed a line.
âSorry, I should have asked if kissing is okay first -â
He was kissing you again before you could even get your sentence out. His arms went around your waist, hugging you tightly until your chest was against his. You tugged on his hair, hard, and felt him smirk against your lips.Â
He was growing impossibly hard beneath you, which only encouraged you to keep going.
You clawed against his back and his mouth opened up for you. You used this as an opportunity to suck his bottom lip into your mouth before biting it.Â
He whimpered, which was just about the hottest sound youâd ever heard.
Your mouth traveled down his jaw and to his neck, where you gave him the same treatment heâd given you.
âCareful,â he managed to say (though his voice was weak). âI canât be marked up for work.â You nodded, then grazed your teeth across his skin. He gasped, the grip of his hands tightening on your waist. You kissed him and bit him and sucked him on both sides of his neck, leaving no spot behind and making sure you didnât stay in one place for too long. Eventually, you felt yourself craving him again - this time, you wanted all of him.Â
Your hips rocked against his erection, and you knew it was game over the moment his bare cock slid up your folds. You moaned, then reached for the condom beside you so he could put it on. You shifted yourself a bit further down on his lap as he rolled it down his length, and then your eyes caught the tattoo on his thigh that started this whole thing - the witch, in all her glory.
âSheâs looking right at it,â you said, your eyes fixed to the design. Eddie huffed out a breathy laugh.Â
âYeah, uhh -â he began, flustered. âItâs her - shit, okay - itâs supposed to be a joke where sheâs looking at my dick because my dick is a magic wand, but thatâs dorky as shit so usually when people ask I just joke that itâs because sheâs a voyeur.â You smiled, then shook your head.Â
âSo, why tell me the truth then?â you asked. âWhat makes me different?â You looked at his blown out pupils, deep brown and infinite, and wondered why youâd spent so much time trying not to look into them. Maybe because now that youâd done it, you werenât sure you could ever stop.
âI donât know,â Eddie answered. âI donât know why youâre different.âÂ
You maintained eye contact as you lifted yourself up and lined his cock with your entrance, and then you slowly let him sink into you.Â
Oh.
The immediate stretch was incredible. Eddie was well-endowed and thick, and it was going to take a little work to fit him completely inside you. You started slowly, lifting yourself up and down - all the while, your eyes stayed fixed to his.Â
His hand snaked between you to rub your clit slowly, getting you wetter and allowing you to accommodate his size better. You moaned loudly, unable to stop yourself, then began bouncing at a faster pace.Â
You kissed his forehead, the sweat on his brow leaving your lips slightly salty. Then, you kissed the spot right next to his eyes, his cheek, his jaw, before finally reaching his lips again.Â
Hungry. That was the best word to describe it. It felt like the two of you had each never wanted anything more in your lives as much as you wanted each other. He bottomed out inside you, and you began to lift yourself up and crash back down, slowly, but with force.Â
âFaster,â he muttered. âPlease, faster.â His voice was breathy and weak. A part of you wanted to tease him more - you wanted to drive him crazy and then watch him explode, just as heâd done to you. But the other part of you wanted exactly what he wanted, so you obliged.Â
You started to ride him faster, rolling your hips in such a way where he was hitting the spot inside you that made you scream his name and pull his hair without abandon. He continued to work your clit until - somehow - you felt yourself building up to yet another orgasm.Â
âFuck,â you whined, continuing to fuck him exactly as youâd been doing. âIâm gonna come again.â
He whimpered your name, and then his words became incomprehensible. But you wouldnât have been able to hear them anyway, because pretty soon you were coming so hard you were transported through space and time. Seriously, the feeling was unlike anything youâd ever experienced before. He was taking up all the space in your body and your mind.Â
âYouâre so good, Eddie,â you said. Your words were muffled against his mouth, but you knew he understood them. âSo fucking good.â
Your motions slowed down, and you started to make your way back to the room. He was staring at you, his eyes no longer piercing. They were soft and vulnerable instead.
âIâm sorry I didnât -â
âThat one was for me,â you interrupted. âThis next one's for you.â
âWhat-?â
Your lips crashed into his again. Youâd gotten your fill - more than your fill, actually - and now you just had one goal.Â
Make Eddie Munson come.Â
Easy enough, you figured. Heâd given you more than enough clues to tell you how. With his dick still deep inside you, you kissed down his neck to his shoulder, then lifted his arm so you could make your way to the crook of his elbow. You sucked at the tender, sensitive skin. His eyes widened.
âOh, fuck,â he said. You smirked, then dropped his arm and promptly fucked him as fast and rough as you possibly could.Â
Eddie threw his head back in ecstasy, groaning and grunting and continuing to talk under his breath - only this time you were able to understand some of it.Â
âHoly fucking shitâŚJesus ChristâŚJust like thatâŚâ
Most of it was curse words.Â
His fingers dug into your ass as he guided your hips exactly the way he needed them to go, and then all of a sudden he was twitching beneath you, his hands flexing, his jaw dropped. He desperately pressed open-mouthed kisses against your collarbone and breasts, holding you flush to him as you milked him for all he was worth.Â
His breathing slowed, his face still buried in your tits. Finally, he leaned back so he could look up at you. You smiled and waited for him to say something, but he didnât. He just kissed you instead - this time lightly and without urgency behind it.Â
You let him slip out of you, then collapsed beside him, completely blissed out. He stayed seated and upright, although he did take the condom off and dropped it in the trash next to the bed. His eyes had turned pensive, his eyebrows furrowed with worry.
âEverything okay?â you asked.Â
âNo,â he replied, staring straight ahead.
âWhatâs wrong?â He shrugged.Â
âI canât tell you how long itâs been since I felt like that.â You cocked your head in confusion.
âAnd thatâs a problem?â you wondered. You maybe would have freaked out had you not just had four orgasms - Instead, you were just concerned.
âI donât know.â
His head turned until you could see his expression fully, and you noticed there was a hint of a smile on his face.Â
âUm, is there anything I can do to help?â you asked.Â
âYeah.â He grabbed your hand and took a deep breath. âYou wanna go on a date with me?â

When Soap caught a glimpse of the red and white app on Ghostâs phone, he wasnât sure he saw it correctly. It was the quickest flash, out of the corner of his eye, in a dark and crowded pub the night after one of the longest ops theyâd been on in a long time. Surely, it wasnâtâŚ
But then he saw it again, a few days later, when Ghost pulled out his phone to message Price about something inane, Soap sitting next to him like always. And there it was: Clue Period & Cycle Tracker.
He knew heâd recognized it the first time; it was the same app that his sister used when she and her husband had been trying for their second child, and heâd know the app logo anywhere with how often sheâd shoved her phone in his face, complaining about fertility windows and PMS. But, contrary to popular belief, John MacTavish knew when to keep his mouth shut, so he didnât mention it, despite the questions crawling up his throat like ants.
That didnât mean he didnât acknowledge it at all, though. It was a little hard to come to terms with, his hulking lieutenant being trans, but it didnât change how he felt about him, the smoldering lust (and love) that he felt just by being in the same room as him. He needed to show Simon that it didnât bother him, that heâd be supportive of him no matter what. That he would love him no matter what.
So, in typical MacTavish fashion, he started talking. Small stuff, at first, comments about how fucking stupid anti-trans laws were or how heâd always prioritized the people he loved over whatever was in their pants. It was awkward at times, and maybe a little heavy-handed, but he was trying his best. All it gained him, though, were confused looks from everyone around him, Ghost included. At one point, Gaz even pulled him aside and pointedly asked if there was anything he wanted to tell him, but Soap didnât dare out his lieutenant, so he stammered through a denial and beat a hasty retreat.
Maybe he needed to be more explicit. The on-store base sold the bare minimum of period supplies, and he didnât know anything about Ghostâs cycles, so he grabbed what he vaguely remembered his sister mentioning, along with some chocolate, pain killers, and a heating pad. It wasnât much, woefully inadequate and almost comically small in the only box he had in his room, but⌠he was trying his best.
He knocked on Ghostâs door that night, box under his arm and heart in his throat. When Ghost opened the door, he practically shoved the box into his chest, his face burning with embarrassment, and Ghost leveled him with a questioning look as he waved him inside. The last thing Soap wanted to do was have this conversation, but he stepped in anyway, heart hammering as Ghost closed the door behind him.
âWhat is this, Sergeant?â
For once, Soap didnât know what to say. Maybe this was a bad idea. How did one tell their superior officer that they were aware of and fully supported their gender identity, despite said superior officer never having actually told them about it? They didnât, thatâs how. Except thatâs exactly what Soap had to do, somehow.
âI, uh,â he stammered. Great start. âI just wanted tae-â
âWhy are you giving me pads, Soap?â
Soap wanted the floor to swallow him whole and leave nothing but a soot stain on the floor to indicate his swift descent into hell. Ghost had opened the box and was looking over it at him, one eyebrow raised in bafflement.
âI just,â Soap said, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. Was it hot in here? He felt sweat drip down the valley of his spine as Ghost continued to fix him with that same expectant stare. âI just thought ye might-â
âDo you think I have a period, Soap?â
It wasnât said with an air of disgust, or even derision, just earnest curiosity, but it prickled something defensive in Soap anyway, and he rushed to explain himself.
âAh saw ye had an app on yer phone and itâs the same one my sister uses so I figured ye were trans and just hidinâ it well so I justâŚâ
He drifted off, words petering out when he registered Ghostâs chuckles. In fact, he was full on laughing, curled slightly over the box still in his arms, one hand raised to his face, pulling off his mask to wipe at his eyes. Hot rage swept through Soap at the sound.
âYou bastart,â he cried. âAh was just trying tae be supportive and yer laughinâ at me-â
âIâm sorry, Soap,â Simon said, schooling his expression slightly, but Soap could still see mirth dancing in his eyes. It was a good look on him, and it was hard to hold onto his anger in the face of it. âIâm feeling very supported, thank you.â
Hard, but not impossible. Soap glared at him through narrowed eyes, crossing his arms over his chest.
âIf yer gonna mock me, Iâll take the box back, ye bampot,â he muttered, but Simon pulled the box closer to his chest, protective of its contents.
âIt was a gift, Sergeant,â he said, shaking his head. âNo take-backs.â
âWhat are ye, five?â
âThirty-five,â Simon corrected, a glimmer of mischief in his smile. âAnd not trans, either. Though Iâm sure every trans person is very appreciative of your wholehearted support.â
âFuck ye,â Soap said without heat. The tension drained out of his shoulders and he slumped slightly where he stood in the middle of Simonâs room. âWhatâs the app for, then?â
âItâs to keep track of the side effects of my medications,â Simon shrugged, putting the box on his desk and stepping back over to his bed, but not before Soap noticed him pocketing the chocolate. âMy psychiatrist recommended it. Works well, even if it gets confused that I never actually have a period. Good for keeping track of trends, though.â
And that⌠Made sense, all things considered. He knew that Simon took a small handful of pills everyday when they were on base, medications to help with his anxiety and other PTSD-related symptoms, but heâd never thought about the side effects that they might have. His confusion must have shown becauseâin a jarring moment of deja vuâhe abruptly had a phone being shoved, albeit more gently than his sister had, in his face. He immediately recognized the appâs calendar, tracking various symptoms in colored tabs on each day. Most of them were orange, having to do with mood or sleep or energy levels, but some were blue or green, and he wasnât sure what those were for. None of them, notably, were red.
âOh,â he said dumbly, a little shocked at how forthcoming Simon was being about all of this. âAh guess⌠Ah can take the stuff back then.â
âDonât you dare,â Simon said quickly, a little teasingly. He put his phone back in his pocket and stepped unsubtly between Soap and his desk. âWhen your sergeant shows up at your door with chocolate and pain killers, heâs not allowed to leave with them, too.â
âSurely ye donât need the pads, though, LT,â he said, cheeks heating with embarrassment again.
âIâm sure theyâll come in handy the next time you get shot in the field,â Simon smirked, dodging Soapâs badly-aimed smack with a chuckle.
âAhm sorry,â Soap said quietly, not letting himself get swept up in Simonâs good mood. âAh didnae mean tae assume-â
âJohnny,â Simon said quietly, suddenly in his space, his bare hand rising to tilt Soapâs chin up, forcing him to meet Simonâs eyes. They were soft and genuine where they bore into Soapâs, and the sight made his breath catch in his throat. âThank you. You were wrong, but I appreciate the thought.â
âYeah?â Soap said, embarrassingly breathless. When Simon nodded, he risked placing his hands on Simonâs hips, heat searing through the black fabric of his shirt.
âYou noticed what no one else did and tried to be supportive the only way you knew how,â Simon continued, gaze still pining Soap in place, and Soap really needed him to step back or else heâd be very aware of exactly what effect his voice had on Soap.
âI always will, sir,â Soap breathed, and then abruptly stopped breathing at the darkened look in Simonâs eyes.
âYou always take care of me, Johnny,â he rumbled, and the dam broke. Within a heartbeat, their lips met, a slick slide of teeth and tongues and pent-up desire, their hands sweeping across each otherâs bodies, touching everything in reach. Soap felt one hand tangle at the base of his mohawk, the other splayed across his lower back, a radiating heat diffusing across his skin. His own hands were clenched in the back of Simonâs shirt, holding him as close as possible as he pushed himself up and forward, as far into Simon as he could get with layers of clothes and skin and muscle between them.
After an indeterminate amount of timeâSoap couldnât have guessed minutes or hours for all the money in the worldâSimon gently broke them apart with a palm on his cheek, his hand so big that it covered the entire side of Soapâs face, and the thought made him whine even as he let himself be pushed away. They didnât go far; Simon pressed his forehead against Soapâs, both of them gasping each otherâs air as they caught their breath.
âFuck, sir,â Soap panted, eyes pressed shut as he struggled to process what had just happened.
âWant to find out what exactly you were wrong about, Johnny?â Simon asked. Soap looked up at him, eyes flying open in confusion, then glanced down when Simon tilted his head with a smug smile. In the scant space between them, he could see the clear tent in Simonâs pants, and he couldnât have stopped the moan that ripped out of his throat if heâd tried.
âFuck, sir,â he repeated, looking up again, his eyes dancing with excited lust.
âI was hoping to,â Simon replied, and his laughter echoed around the room as Soap shoved him down onto the bed, his grip on his sergeant pulling them flush.
Later, as Soap laid on Simonâs bed, sprawled and strung out, the scent of sex heavy in the air, his limbs even heavier, he couldnât help but to be glad, for the first time in his life, that heâd been wrong.

đđđđđđđ: Paige dose an interview were she gets asked about her celebrity crushâs and your name comes up
You were out with some friends when you got the message from you agent she had sent you the video of Paige. You read the comments and saw all the fans going crazy for no reason at all.

FORGIVENESS.
rafe cameron x male reader
genre: angst
warnings: homophobia, regret, angst with no comfort, sad ending
Rafe the kook king, while you were a pogue, it was rare to see Rafe get along with anyone especially pogues but you were different, the way your eyes creased when you would smile, the way your hair would wave with the air, Rafe couldnât get enough of it, but he knew it was wrong.
It was a perfect night for a party, the air was warm and the night was still young. You were a cater at Rafes party, pouring drinks to alcoholic teenagers and passing around food. The only reason why you were doing this was because of Rafe, he told you that he needed help with the party so of course you as his amazing boyfriend would help out.
âWhyâs he here?â Topper questioned, Rafe turned to glance at where Topper looked and saw you. âI donât know just ignore him.â He stated to Topper and continued to pay attention to his drug deal.
You continued to go around and fill peoples cups until you stopped infront of Rafes table, âAnyone need refills?.â You asked Rafe and the surrounding, Kelce scoffed, âWhy would we want anything from a Pogue, especially a fag.â He spat out making Topper laugh.Â
Everyone in the Outer banks knew you were gay, this wasnât a surprise because one of your exâs who was a kook had told everybody this. You swore after that to never mingle with the kooks again, but maybe Rafe was different, maybe he would actually stand up for you this time against his friends, and maybe he would actually show that he cared.
But Rafe only looked at you with sincerity in his eyes, ultimately not saying a word for his own kook pride. Rafe knew kooks and pogues never mixed so for the sake of his dignity, he kept quiet. You look glanced down at Rafe and kept eye contact with him to see if he would stand up for you, but nothing, this caused a sharp pain of hurt to go through your body.
âNow move along or youâll regret it.â Topper threatened. You turned around with tears in the corner of your eyes and walked off to the bathroom.
Rafe watched as you walked away with regret in his chest. âWhat the hell you guys.â He retorted to his friends, âWhats wrong bro heâs a pogue, theres no reason to feel bad.â
Kelce stated, âYeah plus hes a fag, he had it coming for him.â Topper said and they both laughed again.
Rafe hated how his friends treated you, he wanted to do something everytime they talked to you like that because he did care, he loved you, and he wanted to be with you forever. He thought about everything that his friends had did to you and how he never stood up against them, thats when Rafe decided to stand up and go after you.
âWhere are you going Rafe?â Topper asked with confusion, âJust shut upâ Rafe said to him leaving Topper and Kelce dumbfounded.
You sliently sobbed on the bathroom tiles and couldnât stop crying. You decided to look at yourself at the mirror, which caused you to start questioning everything Rafe had did to you that made you hurt, âWhy did he never say anythingâ, âWhy was he letting his friends talk to me like thatâ, âDid he ever even love?.â this last thought lingering in your head.
Rafe had searched all over the house for you until he saw the bathroom door, he knocked âM/n? are you in there?â You looked up at the door and recognized his voice, the voice that used to make you smile, the voice that you used love to hear, and the voice that used to make your days better. âM/n please open the door.â Rafe begged.
You opened the door and saw Rafes face change into an apologetic look. He saw how your face was stained with tears and how your tears prickled off your chin. âM/n im so sorryâ He caught you into a tight embrace and started to caress the back of your head.
Rafe had hugged you for a little more but you never hugged back. He let you go and looked at your face âM/n?â Rafe was concerned, you always hugged him back, you told him that his hugs were the best, but this time it was different, the air was cold around you as you were staring down at the tiles.
âLets break up.â You said coldly

also this could be for either matt or chris or even nate
attention
chris sturniolo x reader
warnings: smuttt (donât read if you donât like), p in v, cream pie, oral (fem receiving), cursing, semi- public sex
a/n: i did chris cause i feel like iâve seen so many hockey matt fics
ummm yeah hope you like :)
âââââââ
i watched as chris skated on the ice, my eyes never leaving him. the game was pretty close, but chris was playing really well tonight.
i felt someone tap my shoulder, making me turn towards them, and breaking my gaze on chris.
âheyâ i was greeted by a guy that looked to be around the same age as me. he was a tall brunette, with green eyes.
âum, hiâ i said, confused.
âsorry, um i just- do you recognize me?â i narrowed my eyes at him, now even more confused.
iâve never seen this kid a day in my life before.
âum, should I?â
â iâll take that as a no. i sit a few rows back from you in historyâ
well this is awkward as hell.
âohhh shit, sorry! yeah, yeah youâreâŚâ i trailed off, waiting for him to say his name.
âblakeâ he finished.
âblake! yes, yeah! sorry, iâm a little out of it todayâ i said awkwardly.
this is why i donât talk to people.
âyeah, no worries. i get it, you pay attention to the teacher, why would you even be facing the back?â he said, trying to justify me not knowing him.
i really really donât like talking to people.
âexactlyâ i said, before starting to turn back to the game. before i could, he starting talking again.
âyeah! very studious of you. iâm normally just staring at the back of your headâ he said, chuckling a little.
i really want to side-eye the shit out of this kid.
âhmm, normally iâm paying more attention to my boyfriend. you know, the kid who sits next to me?â
hopefully this kid takes the god damn hint.
âoh, chris, right?â i nodded my head.
âisnât he like, a player, or something? you sure heâs the right guy for you? â
i just side-eyed him.
this kid isnât real, there is no way he just said that shit.
âit was a joke! sorry, i just wanted to get you to laugh. donât take it too seriouslyâ he nudged me with his elbow.
i shouldâve sat next to nick, he would have a comeback that would scare this kid off.
suddenly, the crowd went crazy. as i went to turn towards the game to see what happened, blake grabbed my shoulder making me turn towards him.
âlisten, iâm sorry that wasnât funny! iâm kinda just trying to impress youâ he admitted.
âjokes are usually funny, that was notâ his smile dropped. ânot that itâs any of your business, but chris treats me well. iâm not interested in anyone elseâ
he didnât say anthing else, so i turned back to the game. which is now over.
fuck. this dumbass made me miss the rest of the game.
i looked closer, realizing chrisâs entire team was slapping chris on the back and giving him high fives.
i looked at the score, his team won by one point.
fuck. chris scored the winning point, and i missed it.
chris happened to look over at me, locking eyes as his jaw clenched.
oh, heâs pissed.
CHRISâS POV
i scanned the crowd, looking for a particular person.
when i finally found her, someone was standing next to her.
who is this kid?
whatever, it doesnât matter. i have to focus.
the game is so close, all we need is a score and we can win.
when i saw an opportunity to score the point, i took the shot and made it.
i just scored the winning point.
âYEAHHHHHHâ i yelled, starting to celebrate.
i looked in her direction, wanting to see her reaction.
what the fuck.
she was facing towards that random kid, his hand on her shoulder.
she didnât even see.
was she ever even watching the game?
i saw matt and nate, along with the rest of my teammates skate towards me.
i was graced with multiple âcongrats, dudeâ and pats on the back. i didnât even care, all i could focus on was her.
when i looked back at her, we locked eyes. her face dropped as she realized how angry i was.
i just rolled my eyes and turned away.
READERâS POV
i waited right next to the locker rooms, where we usually meet after chrisâs games were finished.
suddenly, i heard blakeâs voice again.
he just wonât stop.
âhey, you waiting for chris?â he asked.
âyup.â i kept my response short, looking for chris.
âyeah, that was some game-winning goal, huh?â he asked.
i turned towards him, âhow would you know? you were never even focused on the game, you were too busy trying to get my attentionâ
âi-â before he could even finish, my arm was grabbed and i was pulled into the locker room.
i didnât even have to look to know it was chris.
he pushed me up against a set of lockers, â i scored the winning pointâ he said as he looked into my eyes. âbut you didnât see that, huh? too busy talking to that kidâ
i didnât say anything, too shocked to speak.
âhmm, lost your voice, baby? or are you just having trouble paying attention to me?â
âno.â i answered.
âno? no, what?â
âiâm sorry chris, he just wouldnât leave me alone. i told him i had a boyfriendâ
âyeah? is that why he had his hand on your shoulder?â
âchris, iâm sorryâ he pulled my hoodie over my head, sucking on my neck until it left marks.
âchris, what if someone walks in?â i asked, worried someone would see us.
we were in the very back of the locker room, but we were still out in the open.
ânobody has a locker back here, so as long as youâre quiet, thereâs nothing to worry about.â
he unclasped my bra, taking one nipple in his mouth, while squeezing the other in his hand.
âshit, chrisâ i moaned. he lightly bit my nipple. âfuck!â
âdidnât i just say you have to be quiet? i swear to god if someone comes back here iâm not stopping.â he said as he continued to lick and suck.
my head fell back into the locker, as one of his hands snuck past the waistband of my sweatpants and into my underwear.
i gasped as i covered my mouth with my hand.
he rubbed circles on my clit, as he continued his work on my tits.
âthink he could make you feel this good?â he whispered into my ear.
i didnât open my mouth, scared a moan would spill out.
he inserted two fingers into me. âanswer me.â
âfuck, no no no. no one can, just you chrisâ i whispered.
suddenly, he pulled away and pulled my underwear and sweatpants down.
he brought me over to a bench and laid me over his lap. the bench was wide enough that i could position myself on my hands and knees without falling off.
he slapped my ass, making me whine, and rubbed it after.
he spit into his hand before rubbing my clit with his thumb.
âshit, chrisâ
âremind me, whose pussy is this?â he asked. i couldnât see his face, but iâm sure he wore a smug grin on it.
âyours, chrisâ he slapped my clit, making me jolt forward.
âfuckâ i whispered.
he continued to rub my clit with one hand while inserting his middle and index fingers into my pussy.
âFUCK CHRISâ i yelled out, not even caring about being loud.
his fingers moved in me at an abnormally fast pace. i didnât even know anyone could move their fingers that fast.
i approached my orgasm quickly. âchris! CHRIS! iâm gonna-â
âgo ahead cum, on my fingers maâ
my legs started to shake uncontrollably, and i clutched the bench under me for dear life.
â oh FUCK! FUCK, FUCK, FUUUUCK, CHRISSSâ my voice shook as my entire body twitched.
he continued to assault my pussy with his fingers. âoh my god, chrisâ i moaned as i reached behind me to pull his hand away.
he slapped my clit, making me cry out and move my hand away âyou know your safewordâ
he maneuvered my legs so that he was in between them and without another word, he gripped my thighs and began to run his tongue through my folds.
i couldnât contain the loud moans coming out of my mouth as he shook his head from side to side, completely suffocating himself.
my legs instinctively closed around his face, as i squirmed and whimpered.
his nose rubbed against my clit as he moaned into my pussy, sending me over the edge.
âCHRIS- CHRIS IâM CUMMINGâ i yelled as i finished on his face.
when he pulled away his face was covered in my cum, his eyeblack smudged all over his face.
that is hot as fuck.
he quickly took off his gear and underclothes, leaving him naked.
he placed me on my back at the end of the bench and stood between my legs.
he pumped himself a few times and lined himself up with me and pushed himself in.
âhmmmmmâ i whined as he groaned out, âso fucking tight. look at how perfectly i fit in you, this pussy was fucking made for meâ he mumbled.
he didnât even give me a chance to adjust, pounding into me mercilessly.
this side of chris was driving me absolutely insane. he looked too good snapping his hips into mine, lust-clouded eyes, his face red and sweaty.
my head fell back, and my eyes squeezed shut.
âopen those pretty eyes, youâre gonna pay attention to me this timeâ he growled.
he growled.
iâm losing my fucking mind.
suddenly, he increased his speed and thrusted into me with all his force.
â my GOD, CHRISâ my eyes rolled into the back of my head.
he reached down and started to rub my clit.
âwhat did i tell you about those eyesâ
âsorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorryâ i repeated it like it was a mantra.
he started to squeeze my boob with his other hand.
i started to twitch again, clenching around him over and over again.
âfuck maâ he groaned before painting my walls with his cum, launching me into my orgasm.
i moaned his name over and over again before cumming all over his cock.
he then picked me up, and held me up against a locker fucking me against it.
âchris! chris! sensitive, i- FUCKâ he groaned into my ear as he continued to slide in and out of me.
he lifted up my leg, letting him directly hit my g-spot.
suddenly, the locker room door opened. footsteps could be heard, but they were nowhere near us.
chris covered my mouth with his hand, his nose pressed against mine as he stared into my eyes, almost daring me to make noise.
he continued to fuck me into the lockers, his speed increasing.
there was rustling, before a locker door closed. and the footsteps retreated.
i silently gasped into his hand, and he rubbed my clit, making me grip onto his biceps.
as soon as i heard the locker room door close, signifying that the person left, i let out a scream.
âCHRIS IâM GONNA CUM, GONNA CUMMMâ
âfuck, give it to me babyâ he said as my front half shot up, and i wrapped my arms around chrisâs shoulders.
my juices shot out onto chrisâs cock, and he released his load into me.
he fucked me through my high, giving a few more thrusts.
when he pulled out, our cum dripped out of me and down my leg.
âhere, iâll help you get dressedâ he handed me all of my clothes, except my underwear.
âchris, you didnât give me my underwearâ i said, my voice hoarse from all of the screaming i did.
âi know, iâll be holding onto thatâ he said as he put them in his pocket.
ânow câmon, we gotta get you dressed so we can go talk to our friendâ
oh. thatâs not good.
i didnât argue, knowing it would make things worse.
once we finished getting dressed, chris grabbed his stuff.
as we started to walk towards the door, my legs started to shake slightly.
fuck. i can barely walk.
âyou ok, ma?â chris asked with a slight smirk on his face.
i just narrowed my eyes at him, making him chuckle.
when we left the locker room, there blake stood. directly across from the locker rooms.
i know this kid did not sit here and wait for me.
i glanced over at chris, and he motioned for me to go up to him.
i slowly limped over to him, chris not too far behind me.
âheyâ i said to him.
his eyes widened, noticing the limp, as he took in our features. the hickeys all over my neck, my shaky legs, the sweat all over chrisâs face, and our messy hair.
âumâŚheyâ blake said.
i nodded, slowly and awkwardly.
chris then stepped in.
âhey, iâm chris. her boyfriend. whatâd ya think of the game?â chris asked with a head tilt and a smirk on his face.
âuh, yeah! n-no, great, awesome game! youâre a great hockey playerâ
this kid is fucking shaking in his boots.
âreally? thatâs crazy! i didnât realize you were able to watch the game by staring at my girlfriend!â he said sarcastically.
blakeâs eyes widened.
âi didnât know, sorryâ
âyou didnât know she was my girlfriend? alright well, now you doâ he got closer to him. âand if you ever forget, i swear to god youâll end up with a lot more than a black eye, got it ?â
blake just nodded.
âgreat, walk awayâ he waisted no time in doing exactly that, getting away as quickly as he could.
i turned to chris.
âhey, iâm really sorry i didnât see your big moment. i genuinely was trying to pay attention, he just wouldnât leave me aloneâ
he gave me a kiss to my cheek, âitâs ok baby, i donât think we have to worry about him doing it againâ we laughed together.
âhe looked like he was gonna piss himselfâ he grinned at me while he wrapped his arm around my waist.
âok, câmon ma. gotta find my familyâ just as he said that, they came into view.
chris helped me walk over, as i was still limping.
nick and matt just looked at us and shook their heads.
âyou two are fucking disgustingâ
âwhatever, letâs goâ
matt stopped us, â hold up, i gotta get my stuff from the locker roomâ
chris and i glanced at each other.
âyeah, you dirty fuckers i saw you two go in there, which is why i waitedâ he said as he walked in the direction of the locker rooms.
we looked at each other and busted out laughing, trying to catch our breath.
ââââââââââ

I really love reading your works!! Could you write something with Sebastian and a plus sized reader? :}
A little pick-me-up
Words: 1,1k
Tags: Plus-Sized/Chubby reader, reader gets bullied for a short moment, positive affirmations from Sebastian
Authors note: I feel like Sebastian is insecure about his looks and will definitely stand up if someone gets bullied for their appearance.
Sebastian had never been one for company. In the depths of the Hadal Blackside, solitude was often a blessing rather than a curse. But today, as he sorted some of the newly recieved data in his shop, his mind started preoccupied itself with the latest group of recruits sent down to this watery hell. Urbanshade's current victims by avoiding prison time by jumping straight into their death.
The sound of muffled voices reached his ears, a mixture of cruel laughter and low, taunting whispers. He tiled his head and saw them coming out of the vent: a group of three, clad in the standard-issue diving suits, mocking you who was visibly uncomfortable, shifting awkwardly under their jeers.
"Maybe if you stopped stuffing your face, you wouldn't have to squeeze into that vent," one of the voices sneered, the words dripping with malice.
"Yeah, it's like you're taking up all the space and getting us stuck," another chimed in, their laughter echoing off the metal walls.
The target of their bullyingâa chubby figure, their diving suit snug but by no means too tightâstood there, visibly shrinking under the barrage of insults. In other words, you. Your head was lowered, trying to keep their composure, but Sebastian could see the way your hands clenched into fists, the way your shoulders hunched as if trying to make yourself smaller.
Something snapped inside him. Maybe it was the memories of his own mistreatment, the endless experiments and dehumanization, or maybe it was just the sheer injustice of it all. But before he even realized what he was doing, he was moving toward them, his long tail scraping against the floor, the low rumble of his approach silencing the laughter.
The bullies looked up, their expressions shifting from amusement to confusion, and then to fear as they recognized who was bearing down on them.
"If I were you, I would shut up," Sebastian growled, his voice low and dangerous, the tone leaving no room for argument.
The leader of the group tried to stammer out some sort of excuse, but Sebastian wasn't interested in hearing it. His eyes narrowed, and the bullies took a step back, their bravado crumbling under the weight of his glare. Without another word, they turned and scurried away, their retreat almost comical in its haste. Instead they rushed to grab the keycard and went back into the darkness of the vent.
Once they were gone, Sebastian turned his attention to the person they had been tormenting. You were still standing there, shoulders tense, clearly bracing yourself for whatever might come next. But Sebastian wasn't like the others.
"Are you alright?" he asked, his voice softer now even when he kept his usual stoic face, the edge gone.
You looked up, your eyes wide with surprise. Then you nodded, though it was clear that the encounter had rattled you.
âY-Yeah... thanks," you mumbled, your voice small but sincere.
Sebastian could see the pain in your eyes, the way you were trying to hide how much the words had hurt. It was a look he knew all too wellâone of vulnerability, of being made to feel less than what you were.
"Don't let them get to you," he said, his tone firm but gentle. "People like that... they're the ones with the real problems. You donât owe them anything."
You looked at him, studying his face as if searching for any sign of mockery or hidden intent. But all you found was honesty, and maybe a little bit of understanding.
"Thanks," you repeated, a little stronger this time. "I guess... I just wasnât expecting that."
Sebastian nodded, his eyes softening as he took in the sight of you. He could see the strength it took for you to stand there, to not crumble under the weight of your teammatesâ cruelty. It reminded him of his own battles, the way he had been broken down and yet somehow still found a way to keep going.
"People here can be cruel," he said, his voice low. "But that doesnât mean you have to let them define you. Youâre more than what they say, more than what they think."
For a moment, there was silence between you, the oppressive atmosphere of the Hadal Blackside lifting just a little. Then, you nodded, a small but genuine smile tugging at the corners of your lips.
"Thanks, Sebastian," you said, your voice steady.
He gave a small nod, and for the first time in a long while, Sebastian felt a sense of camaraderie, of connection with someone else in this forsaken place.
"Itâs⌠itâs not easy, but I guess you just have to keep moving forward, right?"
"Yeah," Sebastian agreed, nodding a little too quickly. "Thatâs right. But, uh⌠thereâs something else I wanted to say." He paused, fidgeting with the belts around his chest with his large hands, his fluorescent eyes flicking to you and then away again. "I know itâs not easy to hear stuff like what they said. But⌠I just want you to know that⌠well, I think youâreâŚ"
He trailed off, his cheeks darkening as he struggled to find the words. The usually stoic and composed Sebastian was visibly flustered, and it was clear that he was venturing into unfamiliar territory.
"I think youâre perfect just the way you are," he finally blurted out, his voice softer, more earnest. "Your size, I mean⌠it suits you. Youâre⌠youâre strong, and youâre real. And⌠I like that."
You blinked, taken aback by his sudden confession. You could see the sincerity in his eyes, the way he was nervously fiddling with the item in his hands, clearly out of his element. It wasnât often that someone like Sebastian, someone who had seen so much darkness, would say something so vulnerable, so genuine.
"Sebastian," you started, your voice barely above a whisper, "thank you. That⌠that means a lot."
Sebastian looked down at you, his expression a mix of relief and embarrassment. "Iâm not good with words," he mumbled, glancing away again. "But I just wanted you to know⌠you donât have to change anything about yourself. Not for them. Not for anyone."
You smiled, a warm, genuine smile that made something in Sebastianâs chest tighten. "I wonât," you said, your voice steady. "And⌠thanks, really. Itâs nice to hear that from someone who⌠who actually sees me."
The tension in the air slowly dissipated, replaced by a comfortable silence. Sebastian, still a little flustered, busied himself with rearranging a few items on the table next to him, trying to act like he hadnât just said something so out of character.
But there was no denying the shift in the atmosphere. The connection between them, once tentative and fragile, had grown a little stronger. And as they spent the rest of the time together in the shop, it was clear that, for the first time in a long while, neither of them felt quite so alone.

inmate!eddie munson x reader
cw: SMUT, henry creel is your ex, a threat of violence, divorce talk, baby talks
July 26th, 1996
âItâs been a whole year,â you turn the radio down to better get Eddieâs attention, âwe should go out or something! I know everyone was busy tonight, but let me take you to like Enzoâs. Or Bennyâs even.â
Eddie leaned for the knob, turning the radio up again. âDonât worry about it, sweetheart,â he yells over the music, banging his head around and tapping his legs along with the beat. âAll I need to celebrate is you and whatever that new little number is that youâre hiding under those clothes.â
You turn to him, cheeks feeling hot as youâve been caught. The smug look on his face annoyed you, âHow do you know Iâm wearing something new?â
He hums with a smirk. âI saw your bra strap when you were messing with it earlier,â he says as if it was obvious, âI know what your bras look like, didnât recognize it.â
âYouâre insane,â you laugh as you pull into Steveâs empty driveway.Â
âHey, not insane, just very observant of the things that are important to me,â he unbuckles his seatbelt, hoping out of the car and trotting over to your side to open your door for you. It was one of your favorite quirks of his, especially because the looks on peoples faces in public when a rough, six foot tall man covered in tattoos opens the driver door for his girlfriend are priceless.Â
As you start walking to the front door you notice Eddie isnât behind you, still standing next to the car with an unreadable expression on his face. Normally it wouldnât bother you since he spaces out every once and a while, mostly when heâs nervous or upset youâve come to find. But, heâs been acting like this for the last couple of days and itâs starting to concern you.
Your morning drives to drop him off at work have been quiet compared to the usual lively talks you two have. Heâs also been staying at work later, calling you to pick him up close to sundown as the summer has gone on. One night he told you he was too tired for you to come over and was going to have Steve pick him up. When you tried to bring it up, he just brushed it off saying that he was just tired from repairing the A/Cs for half of Hawkins cars.
âEddie?â You ask gently.Â
He looks at you for a brief moment, eyes barely meeting yours before he starts walking down the driveway. âG-go ahead, Iâm gonna grab the mail.â
âOkaaaay,â you say to yourself.Â
When you enter the Harrington residence, you find it to be dead quiet, which is to be expected since Robin and Steve both had plans for tonight. But, what struck you as odd was that they had left several lights onâŚ
Eddie came through the door a few moments later, his full attention on the stack of mail heâs flipping through.Â
âAnything good,â you joke, unsure why heâs so laser focused on junk mail. He walks past you, setting all but one envelope on the counter.Â
âOh, uh, no-,â his voice is shakey, and you can tell his breathing is off.
âHey are you-â
âHey, look at this!â He waves the envelope in his hand, finally giving you his attention. âThis says itâs to âMrs.Munson,â isnât that weird?â
You reel back, head shaking at the confusion. âEddie, I thought you said your mom passed? Why would she get mail here?â
He shook his head, âNo, it canât be for her. My mom and dad never got married, so this wouldnât be for her anyway.â
âWhat the hell?â Youâre totally confused now, âOpen it and see what it says?â
He nods, taking particularly good care not to rip the envelope too much. You feel like youâre in an episode of the twilight zone between the letter and his odd behavior today. He pulls out the contents of the envelope, which looks like a single folded piece of notebook paper. He opens it, and you can clearly see the shaking in his hands now. Youâre suddenly hit with a wave of realization.Â
âEddie, is that from your dad?â You ask, placing a hand on his arm. He won't even look at you, he just hands you the paper for you to read.Â
The first thing you see is your name.Â
âWhat the-â
âPlease read it.â
You look at him, but he refuses to make eye contact, body shifting with a nervousness youâve never seen before with him. When you look at the paper again, you recognize the sloppy handwriting.
Hi, sweetheart. Youâre probably really confused right now reading this, and I know I gotta be a nervous wreck right now as I watch you. After a year of spending almost every day with me youâd probably agree that Iâm not afraid to say whatever Iâm thinking out loud. But, I wanted to go back to our roots for this.Â
There are times where Iâve wished things were different. Where I could have the time that I lost in that jail cell back. I just wanted to do something for Wayne, but I would have rather had those years to spend with him instead. I missed out on a lot with the kids, and I was sure that the CC boys were gonna kick me out for ruining our chance to make it big.Â
But if thereâs one thing I can say made it worth it was you. You showed me that I can still be loved after all that Iâve been through. You didnât know me before, but you put everything you believed in aside to give me a chance and I donât think I could ever express how much that means to me. But I want you to give me the opportunity to try for the rest of our lives. Sweetheart, will you marry me?
As you read that last sentence, you notice your body starts to shake. Nervously, you lift your eyes from the paper, and in the time you were reading Eddie had managed to get down on one knee in front of you.Â
âOh my god,â it comes out shakey with a nervous laugh. You have to wipe the tears away as they cloud your vision to admire the ring heâs presented to you. The two of you have never talked about rings before, and yet he managed to pick the perfect one.Â
Your teary eyes meet his. Those big, chocolate buttons look at your full of hope. It makes your knees weak. You shake your head, âYes, Eddie. Holy shit, yes.â You let yourself fall into him, arms wrapping around his neck. He squeezes you tight, and you can feel the air leave his lungs as he sighs in relief.Â
Time feels like itâs still in that moment. Since day one Eddie has made you feel more loved than you ever have in your life. Itâs not that you never imagined a life married to Eddie, quite the contrary. You wish you had a dollar for every night that youâve counted the freckles on his face, wishing that youâd been doing this with him instead of laying back to back with your husband for nearly 10 years. But, the two of you hadnât talked about getting married. Not seriously that is. He would joke at home, calling you his wife, âMrs.Munsonâ,âbaby momma,â the latter you thought was because of how much of The Maury Show you two watched together on your days off. Now it felt like a serious conversation you would need to have, a pin to later be pulled.Â
The sudden sound of the shades moving over the sliding door pulled you out of the moment, and you realize the door was slightly opened. Then, a loud voice from the backyard yells, âGUYS IâM PRETTY SURE SHE SAID YES!â Followed by a symphony of cheers and whistles. When you pull away from Eddie, heâs beaming so bright itâs blinding. And suddenly the sliding door is pushed open and your friends begin pouring in, cheering and congratulating as they enter. Eddie stands as everyone piles in, pulling you up with him. The train of embraces begins as Robin clamps you in with a bear hug. Steve joins in, wrapping the both of you in a big embrace filled with giggles.
You look over and see Eddie and Wayne hugging it out. Wayneâs patting his back, laughing about something Eddie must have said. The kids and his band boys stand around them waiting for their turn. When Robin and Steve finally let you breathe again, Max and Jane are next to congratulate you.Â
Max sticks out her own hand, showing you a ring on her finger. âLucas asked me a couple months ago,â she gushed. You grabbed her hand and admired the ring, it wasnât over the top, very subtle to fit her personality. âI couldnât tell you though, Eddie was too nervous that he wouldnât be able to hold off asking if you knew.â
âOh my god, Max, thatâs amazing,â you pulled her in again, swaying her side by side excitedly. You looked over to Lucas, giving him a cheesy thumbs up that made him blush and shake his head.Â
Next is Nancy and Elanor, with Jonathan standing just behind them. Nancyâs belly pushes into you as she pulls you in for a tight hug, Elanor wrapping her arms around you from the opposite side.Â
Then it was Wayneâs turn for hugs next, Eddie finally letting him go after giving him a âLet me go boy, gotta congratulate the newest Munson!â When he pulls away, he leaves one arm around you in a half hug and leans in close, but still speaking loud enough for Eddie to hear. âListen, if you change your mind let me know, Iâll distract him long enough for you to run.â
âHey!â Eddie shouted over his friends, âDonât give her any ideas over there, old man!â
After everyone finished making their rounds, the party migrated outside. Sitting around the fire, Eddie kept you planted in his lap, arms wrapped around you tight. While youâre talking, you realize that everyone had managed to flawlessly pull one over on you. Not a single person even gave you the slightest idea what was happening today.Â
âYou donât remember us looking at jewelry at the mall?â Nancy laughed.Â
âNance, that was like, what, 5 months ago?â You shook your head in disbelief, âI barely remember saying anything about what I like!â
âYou didnât have to,â she said with her arms crossed over her bump, âI just watched what you looked at, paid attention to what you scrunched up your nose to and what made your eyes go wide. Then, I reported back to Eddie and let him do the rest.â She nodded to Eddie, who looked bashful at the admission of his friend.Â
âI picked it out on my own, though,â he said defensively. âWell, Lucas was there, but that was a coincidence.â
You just shook your head, leaning in to plant a kiss on his chapped lips. The whole night your head was swirling with excitement. There was the nagging voice in the back of your head reminding you what it was going to take for the two of you to make getting married possible, but you let yourself worry about that later. Tonight was about you and Eddie, and you made sure to let him know how much you were grateful for him.
âOoooooh god âSHIT, fuck babe that mouth is-â
Pulling off of him with a pop, you roll your hand around his head and lick from base to tip, making his whole body shudder above you. His grip on your head only gets tighter as you let him sink as far into your mouth as you can handle. Taking his hands in yours, you place them on the side of your head, and when you look up into his eyes you can see his pupils swallow up the remaining brown, leaving two black orbs looking down at you.Â
Everything with Eddie was so different, but the sex was on a completely different level for you. With him, sex didnât feel calculated or like a chore. He was so giving all of the time, which took a while for you to get used to when you had gone so long measuring your worth based on being a pleaser. Once when Eddie ate you out and came in his pants, he was embarrassed, sure, but you had almost cried because you didnât feel like you had deserved how good he made you feel. He wasnât having that, though, making sure to let you know at every opportunity he could that just being with you was enough for him.Â
âFuuuuuuuck baby~ God your pretty mouth feels amazing,â he pushes himself all the way to the back of your throat, holding it for a moment. Tears sting at the corners of your eyes. His hands shift, one settling under your chin and the other gripping the top of your head. He slowly eased out, letting you take no more than a second to breathe before he starts bullying your throat again.
Drool is dripping down your chin, cheeks hollowing around him as he trusts. He uses his grip to pull you forward gently, bending you at the waist. Fully nestled in your throat again, Eddie bends down to grab a handful of your ass, smacking it to watch the recoil. You moan at the feeling, and his cock twitches in response.Â
âAlright, gotta get you up here now or else Iâm gonna bust,â he says as he pulls out of you abruptly, lifting you up from under your arms and tossing you into the bed. You eye him giddily as he tore the rest of his clothes off with reckless abandon, squealing when he pounces on you. Hot and heavy, his hands are all over your body, your fingers tangling in his grown out hair. You know what his next move is going to be, but before he can begin his descent you hold him in place.Â
âNot, tonightâ - kiss - âneed you.â ne of your hands snakes down gripping his length, rubbing the tip against your aching clit, your body jumping at the feeling. His head rolls back, any protest dying on his tongue.Â
âShit, okay, anything you want, baby girl.â When he takes over for you, thereâs a sudden tension as he lines himself with your entrance. He looks at you, and you look at him. Something about the heat of the moment that makes you want to give in to carnal desires, but before he can make a move you lean over, opening the drawer and pulling out the foil. You donât miss the tight lipped smile he makes as you open it, but when your hands are on him as you slide the condom on, he seems to forget his qualms.
When he finally sinks into you, he doesnât give you much warning before hes going at the same brutal pace he had on your throat. âIâm never gonna get used to how good you feel,â the praises fall from his lips, each one stoking the flames inside you. Adding his thumb to your clit has you gasping, orgasm washing over you and leaving you seeing stars.Â
The chorus of curses coming from Eddie paired with sloppy thrusts signaled his own release. He pulls out, throwing the condom away and flopping boneless beside you, face planting into the pillow. You laugh at his goofiness, still coming down from your own high with hearts in your eyes. Hearts for your fiancĂŠ.Â
You sighed dreamily, taking one if his curls between your fingers, longer now in the year youâve spent together. His head turned slightly, one eye peeking out looking at your hand. He stared for a moment, until he suddenly snapped his mouth at you, pretending to bite at your fingers. You pulled back your hand and burst into a fit of giggles. He took the opportunity to roll into you, acting like a monster and âattackingâ your face with kisses.
âStoooop youâre tickling me,â you say as you try to push him away. You have to pry his arms off of you so you can climb out of the bed, legs wobbling as you make your way to the bathroom. He reaches out to smack your ass as you do, you flip him off in return.
When you came back to the bedroom Eddie had his pajama pants back on, and was sitting up in the bed with a look on his face that made you worry.
âWhatâs wrong,â you question, his head snapping up to you like youâd scared him. He shook his head innocently.
âNothingâs wrong, Sweetheart,â he stuck his arms out in your direction, making fun of the needy way you beckon him to bed most nights. You werenât falling for it.Â
âEdward James Munson, donât lie to me,â your hands are on your hips, standing naked in the doorway. He gulps at the use of his full name. Youâre not really sure how to decipher that reaction with the way his body straightened, but thatâs something youâd save in your mind for later.Â
âItâs nothing,â he exhales, shoulders falling, âI just figured, ya know, with us getting married now that we, I donât know, we would maybe stop with the, uh, condomsâŚâ His voice trails off at the end but you still heard him loud and clear. Grabbing Eddieâs shirt he had tossed aside at the beginning of the night, you climbed into the bed next to him, resting your head on his shoulder. He returned the sentiment, kissing your temple before placing his chin on top of your head. âIâm sorry, if it's not something youâre ready for-â
âNo, youâre right,â you take his hand and squeeze, âI really only wanted to use them for precaution sake. Not that I thought you were dirty or anything. And I got tested after I found out Henry was cheating, so I knew I was clean, too. Itâs â I just figured it was the right thing to do? Right?â
Eddie wraps an arm around you, pulling you closer with a chuckle. âSweetheart, I think you miss understood. Iâm not offended that you want to use condoms, I promise. I was more so talking aboutâŚâ he shifts a bit, âI meant like, you know, trying for a b-baby.â
A cold chill makes goosebumps rise on your skin. You knew it was coming, knew that youâd have to pull that pin, but you werenât expecting it to be tonight, not so soon. Â
Your silence makes Eddie even more nervous, âI mean, only if you want to have kids. We donât have to if you donât want to. I just, you know, with me turning thirty one, I thought that sooner would be better than later...âÂ
Eddie bringing up his age only reminded your own clock was ticking, too. But, even though your clock ticks, the hands don't move.Â
It was something that you had to face by yourself for a long time, since Henry didnât seem to feel the need to comfort you, rather ridicule you for your inability to do the âone thing you were meant to doâ according to him. When you finally did get pregnant, only for it to end too soon, Henry only made you feel worse.Â
After a while you convinced yourself to stop caring.
Now you feel like maybe it never happened for a reason, rationalizing that your body was just protecting you from being permanently attached to the bastard. Thinking that way helped heal some of the hurt, but deep down you knew something had to be wrong with you.Â
âEddie, why do you think Henry and I never had any kids?â
He stills for a moment, unable to see his face to gauge his emotions. When he responds, his voice has a hint of uncertainty.
âUh, I honestly didnât really think about it. I try not to think about you with anyone else, like, ever if Iâm being honest.â You gave him a slap on the leg, making him turn his lower half away from you playfully. âIf I had to guess, itâs got something to do with him. You like kids way too much for it to have been a you problem.â
Your lip wobbles, because heâs not wrong. You became a teacher for a reason, and youâve enjoyed the times youâve gotten to spend with your nephews and Nancyâs daughter. It only makes the lump in your throat feel thicker when you realize you have to say the next words out loud.Â
âEddie,â his name comes out strained, âI donât think I can have kids.â
And then the dam breaks. Sobs wrack your body, both with tears of sorrow and a sense of catharsis as you can finally come to terms with what youâve been harboring inside for so long. But the tears arenât all for you, but for Eddie, too. Tears of guilt, knowing that you were broken, hoping that maybe he didnât want kids and it would be a non-issue. But thatâs not fair. You should have brought it up sooner. Would he even want to be with you if you couldnât have his kids? Would he just look for someone else, too?
Eddie is immediately in comfort mode, pulling you into him more as he lets you cling to him, chest wetting with the tears falling from your eyes. He doesnât push you to stop, just rocks with you as you let out your grief.Â
When you finally start to calm down, heâs pulling you away so he can look at you, thumbs wiping away the tears that still sit on your cheeks. He tells you to take some deep breaths, feeling better once you do.Â
âI hope those tears aren't from you thinking Iâd be upset or something,â he said, eyes flickering back and forth between yours. âBecause Iâm not, and I hope I didnât come off that way-â
âNo! God, no Eddie,â you say shaking your head, rubbing your eyes with the heels of your palms, âno, I just, I meanâ I want to be able to give you kids, if you want them. Really bad, actually. But itâs not a matter of wanting, itâs a literal âI donât think I canâ thing. I only ever got pregnant one time our entire marriage and I ended up miscarryingâŚâ
âOh my god, thatâs terrible,â his big eyes are filled with sympathy for you. âNance and Jonathan had one a couple months before she got pregnant with Ellie. Nancy was a wreck, and I should have been there for her. But it happened the same week as Wayneâs heart attack, and I couldnât leave him. It was a cluster fuck of a week.â
You were shocked to hear about Nancy. Youâd become pretty close in the last year but sheâd never brought it up before. Not that youâd ever mentioned yours to her, either, but youâd never have guessed. Her daughter, Elanor, had become your little buddy at the Harrington get togethers when everyone was drunk, finding a 4 year old to be more entertaining than a slew of belligerent adults.
âBut, uh, you did say you got pregnant, right?â He asked with a smile. You nod. âSee, thatâs a good sign then. It can still happen. Maybe you're only compatible with Munson DNA.âÂ
His optimism wraps around you like a blanket, and for the moment you let yourself believe he might be right. Even if itâs going to hurt in the future.Â
âSo, youâre not going to leave if I canât have a babyâŚâ You donât make eye contact with him as you say it. He grabs your chin, lifting your head to make you look at him in the eyes.Â
âHey, Iâd be happy to get a pet rock with you if thatâs what you want. We could try and raise some house plants together, but Iâm telling you now that when I tried to grow my own weed it didnât work out well.â
You slide down the bed with a groan, unable to hide the way Eddieâs words have affected you. It felt like a weight had been lifted off of your chest. To finally get it out there, and feeling confident enough to believe Eddieâs words that he wants to stay with you anyway is an indescribable relief.Â
He leans over to smother you with kisses again before sliding down himself, pulling you into him once more.Â
September 14th, 1996
Of all days, it would rain today.Â
Almost a month ago you had Henry served with divorce papers. Youâd taken care of everything, making sure all he had to do was sign. You foolishly assumed that it would be something heâd be on top of, considering itâs been over two years since youâve been separated. Meaning it's been two years since him and the girl he cheated on you with became official. He married you pretty quickly, and youâd figured he would want to do the same to her before she could get wise and leave.
But, here you are. Knocking on your old front door in the rain to confront your husband on why he insists on making things more difficult for you.Â
âComing!â You hear a chipper voice call from inside. You roll your eyes, because of course she has to be here, too. The door swings open, and her face lights up with excitement when she sees you.Â
âOh my gosh, hi!â She squeals, stepping aside to let you in.Â
âHello, Missy.â You were trying to avoid looking at her, the sound of her voice was enough to grate at your eardrums. But when she stepped to the side, your eyes were immediately drawn to the large bump under her sweater. You just stared at her, unmoving, unsure how to process what youâre feeling in the moment.Â
âWhoâs at the door, dear?âÂ
You hear his voice call from another part of the house. It snaps you out of your trance, the anger you were trying to keep at bay boiling up again. You walk inside, heading into the kitchen, leaving Missy to follow behind you.Â
âHenry,â you cross your arms as you stand in the entryway of the kitchen. Henryâs head snaps up from the book heâs reading, eyes wide when he sees you, wearing the same face as the day you confronted him about his infidelity.Â
âAh, what a surprise,â he tries to recover, putting on the mask of arrogance he always wears. âHow nice of you to stop by.â
You roll your eyes at his faux pleasantries, maintaining your stance in the doorway. âIâm sure you know why Iâm here,â you cut to the chase, not wanting to draw this out any more than necessary.Â
âAre you here for lunch? I just got breakfast put away so you may have to wait a little while, but Iâm making chicken salad!â Missy walks past you, grabbing Henryâs mug and refilling it with coffee. It makes your skin crawl as you watch. She brings the cup back to him, something that youâve done many times over, now the thought only makes you cringe.Â
âDarling, why donât you go rest your feet? Iâm sure your stories should be on soon,â Henry kisses her hand. Missy nods excitedly, leaving the room with a wave to you as she does. As soon as sheâs gone, the air in the room is sucked away with her. The facade has fallen, Henryâs face morphing into an all too familiar scowl.Â
âIâm assuming youâre here because of the paperwork you so graciously had served to me,â he stands from his seat at the table, moving around to walk towards you slowly.Â
âYour assumption would be correct.âÂ
He peered down at you, blue eyes darkening from the shadow of the bridge of his brow. The intensity of his stare almost made you falter, but youâd been practicing for this, in case he tried to size you up like heâd done for years. You doubled down, remaining still as stone even when heâs only mere inches away. You werenât afraid of his disappointment anymore.
His lips curled into a smile when he noticed you werenât folding, nodding his head with a small âhmph.âÂ
âYou never returned my call, you know.â Your eyes rolled at his dismissiveness. Huffing out a sigh, you decided to at least entertain him a little bit. He was only going to keep on with this if you didnât.
âDidnât have anything to say,â you shrug.Â
He takes a step back with a slight bow, looking towards the ground, âI see. Was there perhaps a reason why?â He straightens up again, the corners of his lips pulling into a tight grin, âToo busy with another manâs dick down your throat to try and work it out with your husband, perhaps?â
You reel back, completely put off guard by his words.Â
âAnd a felonâs at that? Honey,â his tone is condescending, and you feel your fortitude slipping, âyou know if you were that desperate you should have just come home.âÂ
Your blood runs hot with every word he speaks. âBut I guess you felt the need to prove something to me, or yourself. Doesnât really matter. What does matter is that Iâm not going to be signing those papers.â
Your hands shook, balled at fists by your side. You wanted to swing one, punch him right in his pathetic face and give him a taste of his own medicine. But you couldnât, you knew thatâs exactly what he wanted. And you couldnât risk the cops showing up with Eddie outside waiting in your car. Henry would absolutely try and pin it on him to get him back in jail. All just to spite you.
Taking a deep breath in, you straighten up, giving him a smug look as you lean against the door frame. âThatâs fine, you donât have to sign them. But, and you may want to listen very carefully to me when I say this. Iâm going to make your life a living hell if you donât.â
The devilish smile on his face drops in an instant, morphing into a sneer.Â
âIf you actually read the paper in full, which you clearly havenât,â you see his eyes dart to the side to an envelope on the counter, likely the one he was served with, âI stated in my filing that the divorce was mutual. That I wanted nothing from you, and if there was no issue with you signing, then we could both walk away from each other with our dignity. But,â you raise your brows, lips tugging into a forced frown, âif you want to play this game, then let's play. The divorce is going to go through anyway, and Iâm sure you know that. You also probably know that adultery doesnât have much leverage in the state of Indiana. ButâŚâ
âBut?âÂ
You wonder if itâs the tone that youâre speaking to him in, or if itâs the fact that youâre standing up to him for the first time in your entire marriage thatâs making him fume to the point heâs speaking only through gritted teeth.
âBut, it doesnât look very good when youâre using our combined finances to pay for the two of you to go to,â you use your fingers to count as you talk, âHawaii, Italy, Mexico, which I heard really nice things about the resort the two of you went to. Um, where else, Cancun I think? You also shouldnât have used the bank account to buy her nice new car thatâs parked out in the driveway, which you put in her name for some stupid reason. Didnât think about that because you paid in full for it, did you? You also probably didnât know that I still have the ability to ask for the statements for that account even though you closed it. Thatâs okay, I didnât know either, but my lawyer is really good and gave me that little tip.â
If it were humanly possible, you know steam would be rolling out of his ears. Youâve never seen rage on him like this, and a couple years ago it would have scared the shit out of you. But you had the upper hand for once in this exhausting marriage, and you werenât going to let up.
âThatâs an awful lot of money that went towards your adultery, isnât it? And youâd have to pay all of that back to me, on top of at least fifty percent of your liquid assets. Maybe more if I felt like telling them you kicked me to the curb to live in an apartment in the middle of the year when I wasnât working. So, go head, donât sign the papers. The person that the dick that youâre so concerned about me having down my throat is attached to and I are going to start looking for houses soon, and it would be amazing to pay cash for one. Hopefully youâd still have enough money to pay all your bills and raise a new baby, but thatâs not really my problem.â
In an instant heâs backing you into the wall next to the entryway. It happened so fast you didnât have time to react, only watching as his fist began to rear back. A million scenarios run through your head in the seconds you brace yourself for impact. Funny enough, youâre more worried about Eddie. Because if you walk out of here with a black eye, you know thereâs a possibility heâs going to jail for murder. Fully admitting to it, too.
Itâs like slow motion as you watch his hand begin its descent towards you. Remembering what you read in a self defense book, you put your tongue at the roof of your mouth and clenched your teeth. Holding your breath, you wait.
But the blow doesnât come.
âHenry!â you hear Missyâs sing song voice shout from your-- their bedroom. When you open your eyes, you see Henry frozen in place, crazed look in his eyes as his fist hovers next to his head. Your body tells you to move, in case he changes his mind. Run. Run. Run.Â
But youâre more afraid of what he might do to her if you do.Â
âHenry?â Her voice is closer now, and Henry jumps back. His eyes are on the hallway entrance as Missy waddles back into the kitchen.
âOh, good youâre still here! I wanted to give you this,â she makes her way over to you, handing you a small envelope with your name on it in her handwriting.
âItâs an invitation!â she exclaims, waiting for you to take it. You stand there for a second, looking at Henry, whose face is unreadable at the moment, and then looking back to Missy. After a beat, you slowly take the envelope out of her hand. She claps excitedly when you do.
âDarling,â Henryâs tone is cautious as he addresses Missy. It reminds you of a zoo keeper approaching a lion in its cage. âThat might not be a good idea.â
Her head tilts when she looks at him. âWhy? You told me to invite whoever I wanted to the shower, Henry. I want her to come!â
What?
You open the little envelope, because thereâs no way, right? This bitch didnât just hand you an invitation to the baby shower for the baby of the man youâre still legally married to. Like you know sheâs not the brightest, but thisâŚ
You bust out laughing as you read the card.
âThis is a joke right? Youâre just fucking with me to get a rise out of me, right,â you look at her incredulously.
âHuh? What do you mean,â she looks genuinely confused. It only makes you feel worse because sheâs dead serious, and your hatred starts to morph into concern. Henry takes slow strides towards her, placing a hand gently on her shoulder. The delicacy in his movements is something foreign for him, at least to your eyes.Â
âMissy, dear, itâs not⌠not in good taste to invite her.â The way he speaks to her is not what you imagined. You were expecting him to talk to her like a child, slow and condescending like he tried to do with you. But he didnât.
âIn good taste? Henry, you told me I should try and make more friends. So Iâm trying to make friends. I know sheâs a lot older than me, but you and me get along even though youâre almost my dadâs age.â
Every word out of her mouth gave you whiplash, like being on a rollercoaster. You didnât know whether to laugh or cry at this point, so you decided it would be best to just leave.
âUm, I willâŚlet you know if I can goâŚlater,â you start to back out of the kitchen, âI should probably go now, though. So, um, Henry,â He looks over to you out of the corner of his eye. You were expecting disgust as he looked at you, but instead he seemedâŚdejected?Â
âIâm assuming that weâve come to an understanding?â
Heâs still for a moment, his eyes drifting back to Missy, âIâll have everything taken care of tomorrow.â
Relief washed over you, your body easing up after all that had transpired. You gave him a curt nod, then turned on your heels and booked it towards the door.Â
Just as you were turning the handle, you hear Missy call your name. She hobbles her way to you, and you try not to cringe as she opens her arms to you.
âThank you for coming by today!â She wraps her arms around you. You let her get it out of her system. âFeel free to come over any time. Henry told me I donât have to work anymore, so I have a lot of free time if you ever wanna hang out. Oh, would you wanna go with me to look at baby clothes? Thereâs a store at the mall Iâve been wanting to go to but havenât had the chance to go yet.â
Every fiber in your being wants to tell her to fuck off, but you just feel sympathy for her instead. At least you have friends. You know Nancy, Robin, Max-- shit, even Steve would be begging you to take him shopping for baby stuff if you and Eddie ever have a baby.Â
This whole situation feels like a sick joke to test you. Is this what you had to deal with just to have the happy life you wanted?
âI--Missy, mmm,â youâre battling yourself as you speak, brain exhausted from the last hour, âMissy, you donât have any family that can go with you? Friends?â
âI have family, yeah, but all my siblings are younger. My mom died a couple years ago, so I basically had to raise my siblings myself while my dad worked all the time,â she said the last part came out with mere annoyance. As if being forced to raise your siblings wasnât something that could be extremely traumatizing for a person. âAnd my friends are all way smarter than me, so they went to college in other states. I miss them a lot, but most of them donât call me anymore. Actually, none of them call meâŚâ
Fuck.
âOkay, you know what, fine. Iâll do it,â you spit out, feeling disappointed in yourself for caving in to her sob story, âIâll go with you. I have some friends, one of them who has a kid on the way, too, who could probably help you. Iâll, um, talk to them and give you a call.â
Sheâs quiet for a moment, until she suddenly bursts into tears. You panic, not sure what you said wrong, until she trusts herself onto you again, hard belly pressing into yours as she hugs you. Her tears wet the corner of your shirt, and you pat her on the back. Looking up, you see Henry watching the interaction from down the hall. He shakes his head before going back into the kitchen.
âOh, thank god,â Eddie yells from the car, pacing on the grass next to the sidewalk with a cigarette in his mouth, âI was about to call Hopper if you didnât come out in the next ten minutes.â
You didnât say anything, still trying to process everything that just transpired. You get a sick feeling in your stomach when you think about it too hard, so you just let yourself fall into Eddie, burying your face in his chest. Tossing his cigarette since he knows you donât like the smell of the smoke, he wraps you up tight, kissing the top of your head.Â
âDo we need to stop at the store for some treats on the way home? Iâll get your favorites,â his words wash over you like a waterfall of comfort, âAnd we can stop and get a couple movies. Maybe bother Robin and El for a little bit while they work?â
You smile against Eddieâs chest, remembering that everything youâre doing was because of him. When you look up at him, he wastes no time smooching you all over your face. He lets you vent to him in the car, not interrupting as you give him the play by play. You leave out the near miss with Henry, not wanting to stress Eddie out more. He already hated Henry enough as it is.
âAre you actually gonna take her to the mall,â Eddie looks at you with an open mouth smile, the whole situation with Missy just tickling him as you go on.
âUgh, I feel like I should. I donât know,â you groan, âWhat do you think?â
âWell, I want to say that youâre being too nice to the girl who was the downfall to your marriage. But,â he crosses his arms with a shrug, âIâm on her team because sheâs technically the reason weâre together. Donât do anything that would make you uncomfortable, but if you think itâs something that you can handle, go for it.â
Tears soak the front of your shirt as it covers your face, your body shaking silently as you lay curled into a ball on the couch. Eddie had fallen asleep hours ago, but you couldnât. You were in your head, dissecting everything about your interaction with Henry. It all started when you started to feel guilt for leaving Missy there, knowing that Henry could be violent if he wanted to. But then you started thinking about how he acted around her. The softness in his touch, his gentle voice. He wasnât even that sweet with you in the beginning of your relationship.Â
The fact that he told her to make friends after convincing you to push all your friends away really got to you. Because he knew that if you told your friends the things he did to you that they would tell you to leave him. But he was encouraging her to make friends. Was he not abusing her like he did you? It didnât seem like it. Missy might not be the brightest, but she also doesnât seem like the type to not let it slip if Henry were to do something to her.Â
But then you have to ask why is it different with her? Why did you never get his soft touch, his gentle voice? Was it just because she was pregnant? Did he even love you?Â
âSweetheart?â
Eddieâs voice startled you. The click of the lamp had you rushing to wipe away any evidence of your crying, but the sting of the fabric against your swollen eyes only confirmed that you were a mess. Eddie drops to his knees in front of the couch, face level with yours so you can see the way his eyebrows are pinched with concern.
âHey, hey, whatâs wrong, princess?â His hand caresses your cheek, thumb wiping away any straggling tears. You take a deep breath in, trying to regain your composure, but when you think about speaking your thoughts out loud your throat goes dry. The sadness bubbles up again, you can feel the damn ready to break the longer he looks at you with those big, brown sympathetic eyes.Â
Without a word you watch through clouded vision as Eddie stands and walks back down the hall.
Oh, no. This is it.Â
Heâs finally realized that you have too much baggage. That heâs made a mistake and heâs gone to pack his bags to leave. Heâll tell you heâs going to Steveâs to let you cool off, and then heâll call the next day and say that things arenât going to work out after all.
And you wouldnât blame him. You knew that there was no way someone as broken and unlovable as you would ever deserve someone like him. You should have told him no when he asked you to marry him. Itâs for the best-
âAre you able to get up?âÂ
You blink away tears. You hadnât even noticed that Eddie had walked back into the room. When you donât respond after a moment, you feel his arms slip under your knees and shoulders, hoisting you up and pulling you into him. The sound of water running gets louder as he takes you down the hall, and when he pushes the bathroom door open with his foot, you realize that heâs filling up the bathtub, the only light coming from two candles sitting on the inner edge of the tub. He lowers you down, sitting you on the edge of the tub so he can test the temperature of the water with his hand.
âIs it okay if I undress you?â He asks as he wipes his hand off on the towel heâs set aside for you. You nod, still in a bit of shock at the tenderness heâs giving you. In the back of your mind you know that you shouldnât be, that this is absolutely something he would do for you. But youâre still in the headspace that youâd learn to escape to when you were with Henry. You canât comprehend being deserving of his kindness.
Every touch and manipulation of your body as he undresses you feels like heâs taking another layer from your body. Layers of guilt, shame, self hatred. Peeling away the last bit of shed that stuck to you from the bad conditions of the habitat you lived in for almost 10 years. He takes his hand in yours, admiring your ring, your new ring, that he gave you as a promise to love you for the rest of his life. A promise that youâve heard before, but you wanted nothing more for it to be real this time.Â
âWill you get in with me?â You donât look at him, eyes on his hand that holds yours. But you hear him grin, a hum of satisfaction as he stands.Â
âGod, I thought youâd never ask,â he says as he pulls off his clothes with haste. You canât help but giggle as he struggles getting his foot out of the leg of his sweatpants. His face lights up at the sounds of your laughter. He bends down to give you a kiss, soft and sweet, taking that last bit of sadness with him when he parts.Â
November 10th, 1996
âDustinâs house is in this neighborhood,â Eddie says as you drive slowly down the street, the both of you keeping an eye out for a âFor Saleâ sign. The realtor youâd been working with called you at six in the morning that day to tell you that this house had just gone on sale and it was yours and Eddieâs dream house. She had said the same thing about the 3 other houses sheâd shown you, but to her defense you were being extremely picky. After being the only one to clean the house for as long as you did, you knew what was easy to maintain and what you absolutely werenât willing to deal with. Eddie thankfully was on the same page after making it his responsibility to keep the 4 bedroom, 6 bathroom Harrington house in ship shape for the entire year he had lived there. So a single level home with at least 3 bedrooms was enough for the both of you.
âAwe, it would be nice to live close by for when he comes home to visit,â youâre taking in the other houses in the neighborhood as Eddie drives, trying to gather ideas for how you might decorate the front of your future home.Â
âBeing closer to Claudia would be nice, too,â he says as you slow to a stop at an intersection, âIt would be easier to just walk to her house to mow the lawn instead of running across town.â
Driving a few more blocks down, the sale sign finally comes into view, your realtorâs minivan that youâve come to recognize over the last month parked in the driveway. You pull in next to it, and immediately youâre happy to see a two car garage. The house looks promising from the outside, too. Dark brick, a small covered porch that could fit two chairs, a decent front yard with some space where you can plant some flowers; you could feel yourself getting excited and you hadnât even left the car yet. Eddie opened your door, giving you a look as he holds his hand out for you to take it.
âWhat,â you match your smile to his, âwhy are you looking at me like that?â
âIâm not looking at you like anything,â he keeps your hand in his as you close the car door.
âWhatever, Munson,â you tease, the two of you walking to the doorway of the house.
The door opens before you can even knock, Chrissy standing on the other side of the exterior glass door. You can tell by the look on her face that sheâs very excited to show you the house, hands on her belly bump as she shuffles back and forth giddily.Â
âCome in, come in,â she squeals as she pushes the door open, stepping to the side for Eddie and you to enter. âI watched you from the window and I can already tell this is the one. As soon as I saw the porch I knew youâd love it. But once I got to look around in here, Iâm willing to bet youâre going to want to put an offer in.â
From what you can see from the doorway you were already impressed. The open concept living room and dining room was just big enough that you wouldnât feel cramped, but not too big that you would hate to clean it. The large window brought in lots of light, making you think back to Eddieâs comment about house plants. Maybe it wasnât out of the realm of possibilities.
As she showed you around the house more, you were checking off things on your list of needs at every turn. Three spacious bedrooms, master bathroom and a walk in closet, kitchen with an island. The backyard was even fenced in, and you were already mentally mapping how you would set up a garden. Everything was perfect for you, and the look on Eddieâs face makes you think itâs perfect for him, too.
âSo,â Chrissy places elbows on the counter, looking at the both of you with big, blue eyes, âAre we putting the offer in today or what?â
Eddie looks at you with wide eyes and a toothy grin, his hand gives yours a squeeze. Your heart flutters at his eagerness. The three of you talk about putting in an offer. Of course there had to be a catch, which was the asking price being ten thousand more than your budget, but Chrissy said that the owners were out of state and just trying to get rid of the property so they didnât have to keep maintaining it. After deciding on a price, you and Eddie go out to Bennyâs afterwards to celebrate.
âEddie, the house isnât even ours yet,â you say as you listen to him go on about turning the garage into his music area for him and the boys to play.
âYet,â he emphasizes, âI bet weâll be in there before Christmas. Shit, maybe before Thanksgiving if theyâll let us. Not like they need to get anything out of there.â
âWeâd still need to get furniture,â youâre trying to play devilâs advocate, mostly to keep from getting your hopes up.
âWe can get furniture. And itâs not like you donât have the essentials at the apartment. We donât have to make everything perfect on day one.â
âUgh, I hate when youâre right,â you lean back in your seat, failing at keeping your excitement at bay. âItâs a good thing we ran into Chrissy and James at the mall.â
âJason,â he corrects as he shovels fries in his mouth, âand me, too. Didnât think Iâd ever be happy to run into Jason Carver again, but I guess fatherhood can change a man.â
âOr, maybe you were both just stupid teenagers back then, and now youâre in your thirties and more mature.â
âYou callinâ me old, Mrs. Munson?â The two of you have only been engaged for four months but that didnât stop him from thinking you were already his wife.
âSo old,â you say sarcastically, âThatâs why Iâm only marrying you for your money.â
âI knew it,â he dropped his fork on the table, over exaggerating his reaction as he feigned outrage.
âWell, thatâs not entirely true,â you grin, âThere is another thing Iâm marrying you for.â You look at him through your lashes, biting your bottom lip. He drops his act when he understands what youâre getting at, leaning in close to you over the table.
âJust so you know, I thought about how I was going to fuck you in every room of that house.â
You felt heat rush immediately to your cheeks, shifting in your seat slightly.Â
âIâm having a hard time imagining it, maybe you need to show me what exactly youâd do to me.â
And show you he did.
November 27th, 1996
Eddie thrusts into you from behind, his weight against your back as he presses you into the mattress beneath him. You were still coming down from your own orgasm just moments before when his movements began to falter. His moans in your ear are accompanied with the feeling of his cum filling you up inside for the third time tonight.
Thank god you have the next five days off for Thanksgiving break. There were still piles of boxes to unpack in your new home, but Eddie was determined to christen every room in the house and you were sure youâd need a few days to recover at the rate he was going, jumping you as soon as Steve and Robin left.Â
He pulls out of you with a hiss. Hands still on your ass, he watches his cum begin to dribble out of you. âCanât have that,â he chuckles, and you feel his thumb push the spend back into you, making you shutter.Â
âEddie,â you say with warning before he got any ideas. His thumb leaves you, but he gives your ass a smack before jumping off the bed. Youâre envious of the stamina he has.Â
He returns from the kitchen with a drink for you, laughing at the position youâve put yourself in.
âHey, Chrissy said it works,â you say with your pillow propped under your ass and your feet crossed pointing towards the ceiling, âand theyâre about to have their fifth kid so I donât wanna hear it.â
âSorry, sorry,â he sets the glass on your bedside table next to a half unpacked box that he had distracted you in the middle of unpacking,âIâm not gonna argue with that. You want me to hold your legs for you, Mrs. Munson?â
âNo, thank you,â you pat his side of the bed, âJust want you to lay with me, please.â
He trots to his side of the bed, plopping next to you on the mattress. He gives you a quick peck on the cheek before he mirrors you, crossing his legs and pointing them towards the ceiling.
âAlright, how long do we have to do this for?â
You roll your eyes at him, âAt least 20 minutes.â
âJesus Christ, 20 minutes? Iâm already feeling the burn over here,â he puts his hands behind his thighs, determined to wait it out with you.
The two of you finally get settled under the covers, Eddieâs arms wrapped around you, his hands rubbing circles into your back. You bury your head in his chest to block the moonlight bleeding between the blinds, regretting not putting up the blinds before Eddie got to you. The up and down of his chest as he breathes is making your eyes feel heavy, sleep begins to take over you.Â
âI love you.âÂ
His voice was low, quiet. Just for you to hear.Â
You knew he meant it. Because heâs shown you his soft voice. His gentle touch. Heâs shown you what love is supposed to feel like, not what youâve been conditioned to believe it is. Every kiss on your face when youâre anxious and every sweet caress of your body when youâre writhing under him. Every fight that has had the both of you steaming where he puts your hand in his because he doesnât want to go to bed mad. The way he talks about your future, where the both of you have grey in your hair and his mind wanders, only remembering your face
âI love you, too.â

Would you consider writing for a reader with face blindness and the other ways they have to identify the boys with?
Like whenever they just freshly walk into a room the reader has to stare at them for a moment until they say something or until they spot the part of them they use to identify them, then they get all happy to see them.
I just think itâd be really cute and face blindness is never a disability I see anything for, it lacks a lot of representation but affects a lot of people. Living with face blindness is a serious struggle, because even if someone is family, theyâll always wear the face of a stranger
{I don't mind at all! I did have to do a little research, as I personally was pretty curious at how somebody with this disability sees faces. If I got anything wrong please let me know! âĽď¸ As always I hope you're having a lovely day anonâĽď¸}
Price
It took John some getting used to. Not that he doesn't try to accommodate, he just often forgets you don't see the way he does. He's so caught up in loving on you, he doesn't really mind whether you see him. So when he's meeting up with you on dates, coming over to sit at the table where you're already waiting for him.
Seeing that pretty face of yours contort into confusion and even a bit of nervousness makes his brows raise.
"I um.. I'm waiting for someone-"
You mumble out to what you assume may be a stranger.
"Are you now Darlin'?"
John chuckles, reaching to hold your hand from across the table. Lifting it to kiss your knuckles, blue eyes softening at you.
"I'm right here."
Gaz
Kyle would get used to it pretty quickly, trying to find ways for you to recognize him easily. Fuck he'll wear a goddamn cat collar if you ask him to. He won't want you to feel bad for it either.
"You don't need to see me lovie.. you know me. You feel me. And you've done a hell of a job loving me."
He mumbles, if you still feel bad- he'll take your hands and place them on his face. Telling you to just close your eyes and feel.
Anytime he sees the confusion starting in your eyes he tilts his head and cheekily tells you.
"The best boyfriend-"
"Kyle!"
He grins when he gets to watch your reaction to him. It's kind of ethereal.. He gets to see in real time the love bloom across your features. It hits him to, just falls for you everytime he sees it.
Soap
Luckily, Johnny can never really sneak up on you, purely cause he can't keep his mouth shut around you. He didn't even know for the longest time before you outright told him of your disability. He always calls out first, with that Scottish accent and slang, he's pretty recognizable. Between his call outs of-
"Bonnie!"
"Aye there's my lass.."
"Where you ofta' hen?"
Followed by being swiftly scooped up or pulled into his arms. You will have to explain the condition, he's gonna ask questions. Not that he has any doubts, he's just incredibly curious at how you see the world. He'll listen to every word as you describe it, holding your hand to his cheek. Your thumb brushes over the scar on his chin.
Ghost
Personally I believe Simon would be the most effortlessly accommodating. As soon as he finds out you have this disability, he finds a pretty good solution in his eyes. His balaclava. Not many wear a skull balaclava in fucking daylight. So often he wears it until you at least see him, just so you don't panic and can somewhat recognize him better. Then he'll slip it off.
There's maybe a couple times he doesn't wear it. Most likely he just forgot, arriving home. His stealth can sometimes be a curse when you can't recognize him. Poor doll. Nearly jumped out of your skin seeing some big guy in the corner of the room.
"Fuck- it's me love- jus' me."
He does feel bad about it. But the way your eyes light at his voice never fails to make him smile. Tugging you into his arms. Mumbling an apology for scaring you as he kisses across your skin.
