Who's going to write that fic where Kurogiri secretly survived and timed himself to take Tomura somewhere else so everyone would think he was dead.
And then they went for Toga, because everyone would also believe she was dead.
And years later they went for Touya after a lot of planning on how to make his dead convincing.
So now they're all living in some mountain, trying to figure out how and when to take Compress and Spinner with them.
#listen tomura's body evolved constantly and so much and Tomura could have had a recovery quirk originally according to the manga clues#what if Tomura could grow a body from a piece of his finger and what if Kurogiri could teleport into himself to make it look like he died#the ghost of Tomura that Deku saw was the real Tomura and the reason why Toga disappeared is because they took her with them#so Tomura could save her from the blood loss#but it was a while before they could recover from the damage taken#and they couldn't simply communicate with Touya or kidnap him right?#they had to find a way into the place Touya was kept in and plan things out so Touya was really about to die#it'd be a matter of faking his death by little then pretending he became dust or whatever so a body wasn't left#then rushing him to Tomura so he could start a slow healing process#Toga turning into Touya so they can take skin implants from her in his form#absolutely no one can know they're alive tho#just saying#bnha#mha#my hero academia#boku no hero academia#league of villains#lov#bnha spoilers#mha spoilers#shigaraki tomura#toga himiko#dabi#touya todoroki#toya todoroki#Kurogiri

That scene towards the end of the S3 trailer
The one where Shadow is running to save Sonic from disappearing
What if by that scene, the main conflict is changed? Nine is no longer actively trying to get ahold of Sonic, to drain the paradox prism energy from him. Just like Shadow and his focus on saving Green Hill over the Shatterverse before, he concedes that *nothing* will exist if they can't fix the paradox prism (assuming that the crew comes to the conclusion that they need to fix the paradox prism to have a chance at fixing the rapid breakdown of the shatterverse).
What if after episodes of fighting Nine and avoiding having his prism energy taken from him, Sonic gives himself over willingly. Nine has just realized how far he took things, how tunnel visioned he became on a goal with the sacrifice of things (and a person) he cared about. What if he feels guilty, resolved to help fix the universe they live in before anything else, and Sonic *asks* him to drain the energy this time?
And no matter what Shadow or Nine or anyone else says, no matter how uncertain doing so would make Sonic's fate uncertain and put it at stake, they can't refute the argument. Doing this could kill him (just like back on Ghost Hill, when Sonic asked for Nine to give him energy to match that of the prismatic titan), but is there any other way to save the shatterverse?
I'm not sure what the answer is myself, but perhaps they hope so. They're running out of time, and if they can't fix it, all of them will die. So, they all form a plan.
What if Nine feels this guilt as he drains the prism energy from Sonic? What if he feels more awful (and a little jealous) when it's up to Shadow to ultimately save him (because Shadow's the only other one who can move quite as fast)?
What if Shadow runs and runs, desperate too to make sure that Sonic won't die? What if he's frustrated at Nine and Sonic (because why did it have to come to this?), but also frustrated at himself (because maybe if he could have been there with Sonic, or maybe if he was the one searching the shatterspaces before, maybe he could have stopped all this before it went too far, maybe he could have kept Sonic safe from this fate)?
What if Shadow enters that shatterspace with Sonic in his arms, hoping so badly he'll pull through, trying not to think about what'll happen if he doesn't?
And what if Nine is the next to enter the shatterspace, arriving before anyone else? What if Nine watches Shadow hold Sonic's barely existing form and feels a pang of jealousy, and a waterfall of guilt. What will he do if Sonic doesn't pull through?
#sonic prime#sonic prime season 3 spoilers#putting that tag cause of trailer talk#sonic the hedgehog#nine sonic prime#miles nine prower#nine the fox#shadow the hedgehog#Sonadow#Sonine#i just be ramblin#This is more a prediction than anything (and also a method of hurting myself with feelings)#How convinced am I this prediction is correct? Ehhhhh 30% maybe#I have no way of knowing what's going to come next. My only predictions for that scene are this‚ or Nine (tunnel visioned) does manage#to drain the energy from Sonic during his campaign‚ and Shadow puts everything else aside to rush him to make everything okay.#So basically I either think Shadow's role was in a plan to extract the energy to save the shatterverse AND save Sonic#or that Sonic gets his energy extracted and Shadow has to save him on the fly#With how warped his goals may be becoming‚ I kind of hope Nine goes down a kh1 Riku route‚ where consequences force him to step back and#realize all he'd done and hurt in the sake of fulfilling a goal that wasn't necessarily his original one. I want him to feel so guilty for#hurting the hedgehog who was kindest to him back then#I love when feelings guys#I love when regret#I love the idea of Nine and Shadow putting aside their differences to save Sonic AND the shatterverse#sonic prime spoilers

What I would give to be able to talk to the writer(s)/producers/director of "That's No Lady, That's My Spy" because I have. so many questions. about how that episode came to be.
#original post#Hogan's Heroes#That's No Lady That's My Spy#LeBeau gets shot and it's played as more serious than a car accident#until they get back to the tunnels and it turns out he's just fainted because he saw a bit of his own blood#(and they actually went to the trouble of showing the blood)#at which point it's then played for laughs for the next scene or two before being forgotten completely#meanwhile the underground leader they were rendezvousing with is a drag queen???#this episode is wild#I just wanna know why wound LeBeau in the first place if it wasn't going to be anything#was it always planned that it was going to be nothing or did that decision come later in the writing/filming process?#it's such a dramatic shift in tone from the rest of the series#I wish they would have stuck with it for the episode#Teddy Bear musings

Kinda funny that Maul was like. The one star wars villain who wasn't a space fascist.
#hm i should make an original post tag#darth maul#maul#said this in a message to a friend. and I'm right.#like. palpatine vader and dooku are obvious. grievous and ventress were (probably) hoping to get a spot in the upcoming empire too#hondo doesn't count as a villain to me he was more like. a funny criminal who got in the way sometimes#maul wanted a spot in his master's plan but he never really had one. he was not a separatist (in fact dooku and grievous wanted him dead)#and judging by the inquisitors hunting him I'd say he was not too friendly towards the empire either#he was a space crime lord yes he committed war crimes yes but at least he wasn't a space fascist#he was just an angry weirdo who was super obsessed with one jedi

holy shit did kipperlilly kill buddy so that if kristen died no one would be able to bring her back and the only member of the church of cassandra would be gone
#i mean there was a lot at play here#it sounds like buddy wouldn't have been able to revive them even if he hadn't been murdered because the gems weren't in his bag??#unclear whether he knew that or not - currently i'm inclined to believe he was being genuine about reviving them#but someone had stolen the gems so he couldn't. i might be giving him too much credit idk#but i think kipperlilly's original plan was to kill gavin pundle to sabotage their exam - buddy wouldn't have been able to bring him back#w/o the gems and neither would kristen. so their grade would be significantly impacted#and if neither cleric can bring anybody back and the proctor isn't there to oversee the fight the monsters might have just kept coming#until the bad kids really did all drop#but idk why kipperlilly would suddenly switch to killing buddy if that wasn't the original plan and if he already couldn't revivify them??#unclear also how much oisin knew of this. rn im wondering if he was onboard w sabotaging the exam but didnt know she was going to kill budd#& the plane shift was an immediate shock reaction#or i did see someone suggest he wasn't even there to see it which. is also possible#idk just. many thoughts. head full. what the fuck was up with that preview also#my post#d20#fantasy high#fhjy

seems like you all enjoy my rambles! great. anyways it kinda sucks how few deaths in avos and tbc felt narratively satisfying. i think it's kind of a given that deaths will seem less cool when they are given to long-running characters without much room for buildup of their death, or nothing background characters being killed off-screen to reduce numbers rather than being written specifically to die like they were in the first arc etc but stilllll
#avos had sandstorm's and briarlight's which are two of the worst deaths in the series#onestar's i'd need to reread but it feels a wee bit of disservice that everything to do with killing him off was built on a retcon#rather than his preexisting character which was def more interesting than 'OOPS... my secret kittypet kid..... nauurrrr'#darktail's and needletail's were fine bc of that lack of legacy tho#tbc killed a bunch of characters but a lot of the deaths just felt empty and lame. rosepetal darkstripe snowtuft willowshine etc#bristlefrost's death scene was cool or whatever but i have problems with it. i think we all do on here#leafpool's was major but it happened in a super edition that released out of sync so she originally died OFFSCREEN MID-RELEASE#also when i say characters being 'written to die' works snowkit is an exception. he is written to die in the worst way possible#im talking about swiftpaw redtail etc where it wasn't an ableist point. or mains like bluestar and yellowfang where they had a clear plan

Alistair: So I'm not going with you, I see. Any particular reason? Tabris: I'm not going to risk you getting hurt, Alistair. Alistair: And you think I want you going in there and sacrificing yourself? You think I want you to die!? But there's no use arguing with you, is there? We don't have time... and you are a stubborn, stubborn woman. Tabris: You would do something foolish. Alistair: Maybe… I guess we'll never know now, will we? I guess this is the last chance we'll get… before this is finished, one way or another. Be careful in there. Tabris: I love you, Alistair. Alistair:
Guess who made the ultimate sacrifice...?
Me. It was me.
I made the ultimate sacrifice.
The achievement wasn't worth it.
#dragon age#dragon age origins#dao#alistair theirin#dao alistair#warden tabris#i'm genuinely so heart broken#i just wanted to see what ending you get when you reject morrigan's ritual since i have very strong opinions on it as i've discussed before#and it's more in character for my tabris to reject it anyway so this was the first time i did it and just...... i am hurt#like... it's such a hopeless 'what was even the point? she didn't deserve this' feeling y'know? she didn't deserve this!#and neither did alistair... he already holds so much guilt over duncan and cailan making him stay out of battle in ostagar#and then rose makes him stay behind so she can face the archdemon and die ALONE... while also robbing him of the chance to stand beside her#the way i play dao is alistair is forever in my party like i literally take him *everywhere* he is with rose the entire journey#they are partners in this forever and always and they planned to face the archdemon together but that changed with riordan's news...#and this is the first time since they met in ostagar that he hasn't been in her party and i didn't expect it to hurt so much...#plus i keep alistair a warden so he's left alone in the aftermath of a blight that took everything from him#and i know the end card was retconned but it says that he was so hurt over the warden's death#that he said it wasn't the same anymore and he fucking *left* the order and fereldan and his whereabouts are unknown after he made#a small monument for duncan in his birthplace like.... again i know that was retconned since he obviously didn't leave the wardens but OOF#oh and don't even get me started on morrigan and how she responds to being rejected like i'm chewing on all my furniture right now#there is so much to dissect in that conversation and i'm too emotionally drained to handle it right now...

S2E2 Ed's plot my beloved-
I ADORE THIS EPISODE IN HOW IT PORTRAYS ED'S MENTAL HEALTH!!!
TW, this post is going to discuss Ed's suicidal behavior and attempt in depth. It will not be heartwarming, I am agonizing over the details. Please don't open if that reading is going to be damaging at all to you. Protect yourself first, y'all! Anyway...
Every little detail from his time on screen is spent sending hints to the viewer that it's Ed's last day alive.
The first time we see him that morning, he looks refreshed. He's decidedly sober and cleaning up his cabin and he's joking and almost... bright again. He's talkative and seems so calm. And it's because he's finally decided to kill himself.
It's been a long observed point for folks with suicidal thoughts/actions that once they've decided on doing it, there's a certain kind of peace that comes with that. Because it's going to be over soon, you know you'll be able to rest. There's an expiry approaching, and there's a comfort in knowing you've almost reached the end, like getting close to the end of a long work shift.
And so he's cleaning up, so he'd doesn't leave as much of a mess behind (Also something that is well documented from people who attempt). At least, assumably that was the idea, like he hadn't originally planned to take the whole ship down with him, it seems like he was planning to do something smaller for just him as of that morning. So he’s tidying up for the rest of them.
It's both a gesture of kindness to make sure they aren't left with as much of a "hassle" once they find him dead, but it's also a point of "pride" in a way. So when it's all over, they will sweep through a cleaner room and remember him better in that last day, than so much of the mess and stress of the earlier ones.
The second time we see him is when he's figured out Frenchie didn't finish off Izzy. And not only does he offer for Izzy to do it, he tells him that it'd be a good thing for him to do. Like it was a favor, killing him would've been "just what the doctor ordered" to make him feel better.
But Izzy doesn't do it, and he assumes Izzy ends himself after he's left the room.
The third hint is that he's so forgiving with everyone. He doesn't hold a grudge against Frenchie for lying to him and hiding Izzy in the secret room, he doesn't yell at anyone (like Jim or Archie) for conspiring with him, he even tells Frenchie to take the day off and thanks him for the closure.
Again, it's following that motion of peace and contentment, he doesn't have to go into death mad, he can do it calmly. He can let it all go, because soon enough it won't be a problem and he knows he's now decided to take them all down with him. So he might as well let them enjoy their last few hours as much as they can.
And he instead resides to sit at the wheel, turning them sharply right into a dark storm, all the while he wears the softest smile. Because he is calm, he is clear headed, and he is done waiting for something else to kill him. And that's a very common thing for people to want in those last moments. To go clean and sober and content and in peace.
They hit a lot of the MAJOR signs they teach you that someone is about to take their live, the only one I can think of off the top of my head that wasn't explicitly included would've been the giving away of personal possessions.
(But, perhaps even following the idea that originally he was going to go alone, he was going to be leaving everything including the boat to his crew, so maybe that idea was kind of hidden in there. It's just not as direct as personally going to people and handing over things.)
Anyway, I'm sure a lot of these clues were well picked up by the fandom, I'm sure a lot of us have learned about these stages of suicidal action for various reasons ourselves. I just wanted to point out that timeline and how perfectly it seems to fit across the whole episode as this singular, unspoken intent behind every single one of Ed's actions until it comes to a head and the crew on deck can't ignore how drastic everything had turned.
#Cae Has Lots of Feelings About Our Flag Means Death#I love love love this plot of the episode#From the moment it started and we saw how at ease he seemed... I knew what was coming#The suicide plan was officially in motion as far as Edward Teach was concerned#And there is some soft sweetness that he was going to do it all alone originally.#That he had made the decision that there wasn't anything to live for and he was going to just take care of himself in that way.#That he only decided to try and take the whole ship down with him when he was 'scorned' again by his crew.#AHHHHHH!#I just love Ed so much and his character is so beautifully written and played and expressed#That moment towards the end as his crew huddles together - terrified - and they can't figure out why it all seems to backwards#Why he's acting 'better' but steering them right into the violent waters of a sea storm#Because they weren't taught these things. They don't know what it looks like when someone's ending their life like this.#And they are trying to follow the logic of 'Ed is a sailing genius' 'He knows what he's doing' 'He has to' 'But this...'#It's 100% perfection#and though I definitely have a few gripes and concerns about this season so far... This episode's Ed plot is not one of them.#Not in the least.#Our Flag Means Death#OFMD#Our Flag Means Death Season 2 Spoilers#Our Flag Means Death Spoilers#OFMD Spoilers#OFMDS2#OFMD s2 spoilers#Edward#Edward Teach#Blackbeard#The Kraken

dude this is so funny
#i was thinking about like. wait. how feasible IS it for ganon to make friends#because i've been doing a lot of basically ig overhauls with how i write ganon in my comic#he was originally not meant to be in-character at all and now i really want to make him FEEL like ganon#so i've been rethinking how his backstory works and how he reacts to it. originally i wasn't going to change anything but the tweaks i've#been making work really really well and i'm very pleased#and part of his whole deal is that he made a friend#and the more i think about it the more i really really need to think about how that happened just because it's so unlike my vision of him#in my head to like. genuinely be vulnerable and want to be friends with someone in any capacity#dude it mustve taken forever. and idk the more i think about it the more i realize it probably wasnt even the characters Intention#but also. the fact that there is a pretty strong power imbalance between the two actually?? kind of makes it more feasible in a way??#so for the record ganon is Not the one with the power here and the character i planned on befriending him is. and like#the last post i reblogged made me go. oh hey.#ganon would automatically assume he's going to get exploited or abused or attacked somehow because thats what HE does when he has power#over someone like that.#and then when the friend just. doesn't. I think he's going to be somewhat confused by that. maybe angry. probably angry#alt ganon is funny because he's mad at everything and this includes himself#make threats act like the person is an idiot. try to find a way to take advantage of it but the guys just like nuh uh#im feeling so sillyyyyyyyyyyyy

i have this fic in my brain with like. two parts. possibly three. and that's 1) ted teaches trent, of all people, how to make his famous biscuits. this implies a few things:
a) trent is now the biscuit successor. ted's always handing out biscuits. trent finds himself doing the same thing. (this would be the hypothetical third part, if you'll forgive my nonlinearity--trent, and the community, and biscuits.)
b) i like to think trent would enjoy making it bc Autism. idk about yall but i love following a list of precise instructions with little treats along the way with the end result of a thing i can not only hold in my hands but eat??? anyway trent gaining a new hobby for his spare time (that his daughter LOVES to "assist" with lol) and maybe he even starts experimenting himself--the biscuits are never going to be exactly like ted's, but they have something special of their own, too. (and it's still made with love :))
c) ted and trent baking together and the cute (but ultimately bittersweet) shenanigans that ensue.
2) rebecca is missing biscuits with the boss and girl talk, now that ted's gone, when trent hesitantly ducks in with a pink box.
3) again, as beforementioned, trent inadvertently getting roped into making these regularly. first it's one off thing--cheering colin up or it's mentioned that he used to make them for someone ELSE'S kid's birthday and trent knows from experience that's not to be missed, and then it's just. becoming a thing. he is regularly making biscuits now. he is ted's biscuit man successor.
#of course there's all sorts of other things i can do with this#the bittersweet nature of ted leaving and people filling in holes he left. if ted ever comes back seeing how things have changed--#ways trent's changed his process/recipe in ted's absence and how he's had to build around the hole ted left and now has his own way of#doing things (trent crimm independent huh!) and being ''replaced'' but also in this hypothetical return scenario which wasn't even the plan#for the original fic but i can't help but think of bc im a sucker--also just. yes trent was your 'successor' but that doesn't mean#there's no room for you. and now they're that baking couple lkjfgh biscuit husbands if you will#that's a whole other optional sequel fic i think. anyway im just spinning this idea in my brain#ted lasso#trent crimm#rebecca welton#ANYWAY regardless of a potential tedependent fix it sequel#i just think like#trent finding hobbies he enjoys something that is connected to ted but he genuinely makes his own#trent and building those community bonds and a support system...#idk its not perfect but i enjoy it#gertspeak

I think one thing I will say about the finale was that the most problematic aspect of the concept of the show was how it feels like they had to use the Fionna and Cake plot to Trojan horse a resolution to a swathe of loose ends Simon and Betty's arcs had. They pulled it off even better than I ever wanted to let myself hope for for the most part but I would say my main issue if anything was how cramped the finale felt when I think they could have left a lot more up to season 2 speculations (especially with the resolutions for the alt universes, they didn't really feel necessary when they basically just had to egg Scarab).
I feel I liked the understated melancholies of seeing Simon recontextualized and kinda infantilized in that temporary form hosting his mind, and some people have said the Casper and Nova thing felt hamfisted but I thought the vibes were too cute to care that it wasn't particularly "efficient" as far as metaphors go, but that does slow down the pace which probably crunched the ending a little harder :'). But it also worked in further showing the sad side-effect of the crown on Simon's relationships, including that of stunting his ability to have ever matured in his understandings of love and his relationship with Betty. I also think their last scene in the memory worked because it was Simon reconsidering how he viewed their relationship for the first time, even if his attempt to do for Betty what she did for him would have just been an inversion of their original flaw, the scene rests on them understanding it's unchangeable anyway, so that decision doesn't matter so much and it's not something for Simon to dwell on.
I also feel I liked the scene a lot in spite of how scarce it felt in the finale was because of what was most conspicuously unaddressed, which was just the sheer logistical impossibility of any different choices they made having possibly been any "better." It sticks out because Betty says they could have made better choices, which kinda seems to situate their relationship in a vacuum as if there wasn't a very high likelihood had they done anything different at that crossroads, they would have just been literally nuked into orbit regardless. Sure, it seems like enough time had passed for them to have worked out their relationship better at least and then died, but that kinda seems better by an arbitrarily less tragic amount, and really it seems the least tragic possibilities ever were either that they conceive their relationship more healthily, Simon finds the crown and protects Betty from exploding somehow and also doesn't warp her to the future, and they live some terrible survival life but at least they get a chance to live something kinda fulfilling and Betty probably would have taken care of Ice King decently for the remainder of her life once Simon was gone while also having a better understanding of what had happened to him. The only other hand would be that she also was still warped to the future he finds the crown but Simon had not enabled her self-sacrificial tendencies and so she becomes less undividedly obsessed with saving him and instead integrates into Ooo more properly and also accepts what had become of him (I find it hard to think she would have just let him die either way though lmao).
That all said, they had been around a long time to have reflected over everything. I think it is a bit of an issue that they don't really allude to that, but I find it easy to believe that they did recognize how thwarted a happy ending would ever be for them by all angles of their reality, yet they still had that tender ache of that simple and small tragedy just between them two that still exists within the torrent of catastrophe that engulfed them and the breadth of their fate. So much horror in their lives but they reconnect and find themselves primarily concerned with that last regret of not having been able to make the ideal relationship they quite thought they had.
#fionna and cake spoilers#Besides that I would say my other kinda issue with the best part of the finale was that you also don't get to see much more#of how Simon enables Betty besides the elaboration on what Betty alludes to in Temple of Mars#Like they only show the red flags at the start of their relationship but I feel they could have taken some time out of the Scarab fight#to have pretty much just one more scene of his lack of awareness in their relationship after they got together#Because we literally only see him make a misstep right at the inception and that Casper and Nova imply this was a continuous pattern#But Simon has literally no autonomy over himself or Betty for like 95% of the original Adventure Time#and tries to stop her from saving him the first time she shows up#Granted I suppose he saw it as being for his own good should he die and leave Betty alone in some alien world#But that whole situation was profoundly different and difficult to have controlled#save for Simon having not opened that portal at all but the considerations and assumptions of how that might have affected her#a thousand years ago... seems difficult to forsee mid-rigor mortis#So it just sorta feels like Casper and Nova kinda was just pointing to something we didn't actually get to see that much of#And though Simon failing to consider that it wasn't great Betty threw out her plans to do Simon's thing like it was nothing#and then overlooking that more directly and with initiative a second time even with Babette yelling at him was a strong enough prelude#for you to “get the idea” but like. Damn! I wanna see a little of the idea maybe
