when the first glance isn't a spark rather, instantly immolating searing away all thoughts of before eyes melted to leave true vision soul-sight of life altering a being with divinity leaking through the pores it is too hot to endure so wither into dust, as they crush you into diamond there to capture their light and burn in the glow

Dealing with hot weather just feels so futile because you can only make things colder by making other things hotter and there isn't really anything around you wouldn't mind making hotter.

'Water' can be an exception to this — if you have access to water which is cool without refrigeration. Sometimes you can find like. Cool rocks in a cave? But I cannot go about my business with my feet in a bucket of water, much less while lying in a cave.

—I realize that from a, like, thermodynamic perspective heating up cold things is even more a lose-lose game, but from my limited human perspective it doesn't feel like it.

If only I had a nice efficient way to magically reduce ambient temperature by storing the unwanted heat. A magic battery that charges by draining heat out of the air. I wish.

—I realize that there are probably many scientific reasons that's impossible and/or a terrible idea but whatever I still want one.

It is too warm. So our buns have become inside buns for the daylight hours. I must buy more toys for them. (They're not bored, they sleep a lot in the middle of the day, I've just become a bun mum).

So turns out I’m showing a lot of symptoms of heat exhaustion so I’m gonna go find something to deal with that and if I’m not back in like 4 hours or so then my mutuals can have my possessions if they want them
