I'm gonna be honest, that aimsey response isn't enough for me. It comes off as deflecting rather than taking the responsibility of having a large platform requires. This rhetoric hurts real people, and as usual these days, trans people are always the center of it. I am very tired of pretending that this rhetoric has anything to do with lesbian spaces. It doesn't.
Who benefits from telling other people what they can or cannot identify as? Who benefits from explicit separation of communities? Who benefits from targeting and attacking fellow queer people?
Please think critically for a moment before regurgitating random opinions you find online. You do not know who made those posts.

a reflection on MatPat's plagiarism
Hello, my name is Della, or micer2012, and 2 years ago Game Theory plagiarized three Tumblr posts of mine, making a video that now holds almost 6 million views.
My posts explaining his plagiarism made their rounds on Reddit, Tumblr and Twitter, but despite the Hermits and Pooka commenting on it (generally in support of me or saying they don’t know enough details about the situation to say either way), MatPat and his team have never owned up to anything, and no mention of my name is present on the video. The one Reddit post they made denying it (which was made before my detailed takedown, which they have never responded to (though the mods on the r/GameTheorists Reddit were kind and made sure it stayed up)) didn’t even mention me by name, just referring to me as “a tumblr user”. (Though one of the screenshotted comments in the body of the post does say my name)
This experience was baffling, but it’s overall had a positive impact on my life. r/Hermitcraft gave me a Golden Apple Award (post of the year, 2021). My inbox was filled with excited fans, wanting to ask me questions or pose their own theories, far more than the hate I got. (Though the hate I got from Game Theory fans was VERY funny. I wondered why none of them gave me shit about saying “MatPat misgendered Evil Xisuma” before realizing none of them read that far into the post.)
And getting on a more personal, and much more important note, I met most of my current online friends through this, including my partner. It helped me grow closer with my irl friends as well and gave me an entertaining story that I tell whenever I have the chance. It was one of the first things in my life that really made me feel like my talents, my autistic hyperfocusing and analyzing of things I love, could be valuable. Useful. Exploitable. It blew my mind that MatPat thought an autistic kid’s ramblings about a Minecraft Youtube joke character were good enough to steal. To put an audible sponsorship on. To get 6 million views off of.
And that’s why I’m writing this post, this update years later. As you might’ve been able to guess, Hbomberguy’s Youtube video on plagiarism reopened this wound. It was really hard for me to sit through, it took days of pausing and taking breaks, because I had experienced everything he was talking about firsthand.
In my 10 page long takedown post, I wrote about how his rewording of my sentences made him say things that were incorrect, just like Filip did. The content farm production style that made big companies like Cinemassacre take one creator (AVGN/MatPat) and turn him and his content into a brand, a voice that reads out scripts by other people with other opinions/theories, is a history shared with Game Theory. What really hit me was Harris talking about how big creators only do this to people they think they can get away with doing it to. How they view their victims as lesser, as not deserving of their words, repackaging them as their own to give to an audience that can gain from hearing them, but deserves better than to have to listen to the original victim.
That’s the thing, I 100% think a video version of my theory to expose to a bigger community than “Evil Xisuma Fans on Tumblr” is a great idea!! Near the end of the video Harris talks about how video adaptations of things could be a great market, even an accessibility tool, and I completely feel that about my posts. I wrote them quickly assuming the reader was someone well versed on Evil Xisuma lore, after not even watching most of the CarnEvil series, and the diagrams I made to explain them are even less comprehensible. Harris makes a joke that I completely agree with,
“I’m sure some of my videos would do very well if someone translated them into English.”
I don’t think I would’ve ever made my posts if I didn’t have autism, and a special fixation on Evil Xisuma and Hermitcraft. I made them because I felt the character was being done an injustice, and because I wanted to share with other superfans this theory that might explain it away. I do think that MatPat plagiarizing me was ableist. I used to wonder a lot if this would’ve happened if my posts were articulated better, if they had been peer reviewed, if the posts themselves had been spread to a wider audience before MatPat made his video. At one point when the discourse was fresh (before I had the time to write out my 10 page rebuttal), a bigger YouTuber (100k subs at the time) messaged me and started talking on Discord, interested in possibly making a video on the discourse, but I think my style of typing and general enthusiasm drove him away. You can tell by a single look at my blog (or my original 3 posts!) that I don’t usually type like this. This post you’re reading now has been peer reviewed and edited, and took me hours to format correctly. That video could’ve been huge, the entire outcome of this MatPat situation would probably be much different.
I also used to stress a lot about “being the one who ruined Evil Xisuma’s story”. If you didn’t know, to me S8 Evil Xisuma’s story got wrapped up pretty quickly and unsatisfying (in my personal autistic opinion). (though this might’ve been due to s8 being experimental and ending early with moon big) There was no real culmination of the plot points and arcs going on, and I don’t want to blame myself, but when Xisuma said on stream (when the MatPat thing was first going on) that he didn’t want to focus on the discourse or draw more attention to it, it makes a lot of sense to me that he just wanted to wrap it all up as quickly as possible. For a while I beat myself up about it, of ruining the story of this character I love, but it’s not my fault. If anyone’s, it’s MatPats, but I don’t think it’s useful to just blame someone else. That’s how the story ended up going, and that’s fine. This is Evil Xisuma we’re talking about, their inconsistent lore is what made them such an interesting character. And notably, Pooka made an animation with an awesome culmination of Jeff, the Dreamer, Evil Xisuma, and his own sona’s story, and it makes me so happy to watch. Whatever Pooka does is of course his own choice, but I’m glad he got to give this personal story his own ending (if it is an ending, and not just the start of a new chapter!).
Typing this all out and getting it off my chest has made me feel a lot better. For a while I wanted to make my OWN video essay about Evil Xisuma’s lore and CarnEvil’s lore, actually going episode by episode to explain it instead of just assuming you knew as much about Evil Xisuma as I did. That idea is still not off the table, but MCYT isn’t something I’m that into right now. Maybe if something else comes out about Evil Xisuma I’ll get back on it, but for now I’m fine with letting that go. But I want to make other videos, share other theories and analysis… if I have the freetime I’d love to make YouTube videos, and if I don’t have the time I’ll continue posting to my tumblr and infodumping to my friends. Apparently my infodumping is valuable enough “content” to steal! Writing this out has made me feel a lot better though, I’m really glad I got it out.
If anyone ever wants to talk to me about the things I’m obsessed with, or reach out to me as a source in a bigger discussion about Game Theory or other channels, my inbox is more than welcome :] Thank you for reading!
Sincerely, a tumblr user.

inumaki would...
if you were dating them series.
send you the most random screenshots from his games. it can range from those scammy ad games, to fortnite, to animal crossing, and then to gta. when i saw this tweet, i immediately thought of him. he'll be on the minecraft world the two of you play on together, and this is the kind of stuff you get sent when you're not around. sometimes he'd actually send you cute ones, like gifting you the food he made in cooking mama, and he loves making the foods that he knows you like.
replace your phone case with embarrassing ones. this guy has too much time on his hands. when you're out in public and you're not looking, he'd slip something like this or this on and force you to keep it. you'd probably have a whole collection of weird and wacky ones overtime. his personal favourite would be eggplant shaped, and at least two times bigger than the screen of your phone. it doesn't even fit in your pocket??? like, where does he honestly get the money to continuously troll with you like this?
make up a word that specifically means "i love you". two, actually. one is silly, and one would have actual meaning. the silly one would be something you're allergic to, or something that you hate. if it's not that, he'd call you "tomato" so it blends in with the rest of his words somewhat, and it refers to how red your cheeks would get. the one with actual meaning would be something that reminds him of you. it could be anything as well; your favourite flower, where your first date was, etc. one he uses a lot is "pom pom", because you're always cheering and encouraging him whenever he goes on missions. he'll even do a little gesture with his arms to go along with it.
touch foreheads with you all the time. it's his way of subtle affection, or asking for comfort/reassurance. it was easy when he had his first year hairstyle, but when his hair is down, you would move it out the way for him. the one time your hands were full and you couldn't do so, his hair got in his eyes. you felt so bad afterwards that you promised you would drop everything the next time he wanted to do it.
send you full on rants that are paragraphs long. here me out, because inumaki can't communicate in a proper language, imagine how frustrated he would get at the most minuscule yet infuriating situations and he can't (or rather shouldn't) say anything bad. i'm sure his vocabulary definitely isn't the kindest either. the worst one you got was when he stubbed his toe at 3am. he genuinely spent twenty minutes typing out his curses to whatever he hit, swears and all. hell, he's even start typing in a language you didn't even know he could speak (and he probably doesn't. it's most likely insults or just straight gibberish). when he's done, he'd ask you to hop on fortnite. it's 3am and you have classes tomorrow??? if you actually do hop on, he sweats so hard on ten year olds and finds it the funniest thing ever.

Who is Vegetta?
Tumblr media
Had to wait until my hands stopped shaking for this one, I love Vegetta so much. He was recently — miraculously — announced for the QSMP, so here's a rundown for English fans of both who he is and his lore.
Vegetta777 is a Spanish Youtuber who is one of, if not THE biggest pillar of the Spanish community. He's been doing content for over 15 years now.
He's the creator of the Karmaland series, which he started when he was around Quackity's age.
I cannot emphasize enough: Vegetta doesn't do series or events or tournaments EVER, so him accepting the invitation is a huge deal. This was his exact commentary on it:
I told him that I don't usually enter series that I can't control, but I have given him that vote of confidence, I also asked him how the series would be because I didn't want anything competitive, and Quackity told me not to worry about anything (does this confirm QSMP is an RP server? 🤔) [...] If I trust Quackity and he trusts me for Karmaland, well, I give him that vote of confidence for this series he's doing. And also the boy looked excited, if I'm honest, Quackity's the son of Rubius in a certain way. (🥺💕)
Vegetta is very fond of Quackity after interacting with him in Karmaland 5, and he's spoken multiple times about how much Quackity's impressed him. He also said Quackity will be bigger than him someday :') He's very supportive of the new generation, and he spoke highly of Spreen today too.
Vegetta is one of the most talented Minecraft builders out there, and he's fast
While most of the other Karmaland boys were still living in basic houses, Vegetta built a CASTLE within a super short time
Tumblr media
Vegetta loves cats. In Karmaland he had an entire cat rescue with 50+ cats (and yes, he’s named every single one of them). IRL, he shares lots of adorable cat photos and videos.
His skin, like his name, is based on the Dragon Ball character Vegeta. Vegetta777 is basically the yassified version of Vegeta (just like Phil is the yassified version of Uruhara).
In Karmaland 5, Vegetta was a bit of a wizard, and he had a flock of crows / ravens (remind you of anyone?)
Vegetta is sometimes called "the father of Minecraft", so many people (myself included) are ESPECIALLY excited to see him and Phil interact because they have a lot of similarities.
Tumblr media
Vegetta is one of the heroes of Karmaland and the unofficial leader of their group. In terms of lore, he's essentially a demigod / minor god, though it's not as direct as Sapo  Peta's contact with them.
Vegetta is typically a staunch rule-follower, however, since he's not in control of the series, he said: "I feel like Rubius: 'Let's see what I can do to destroy everything, let's look for all the legal loopholes,' get ready Quackity, I'm the new Rubius!" (LMAO)
Vegetta’s the king of “stay in your own lane” he never gets into drama or gets involved in controversies, he just watches the dumpster fires from the sidelines like the rest of us
He almost never wears a shirt in the series (and honestly? Good for him)
His character is also, canonically, absolutely shredded
Tumblr media
It's impossible to talk about Vegetta's lore without also talking about Rubius, so buckle in because this one's a doozy. I can't cover everything without this post becoming longer than it already is, but I'll do my best to summarize what I can:
Starting with Karmaland 4 and continuing into Karmaland 5 and beyond, Rubius and Vegetta have created the world's most torturous slow-burn telenovela-esque love story.
Rubegetta (Rubius x Vegetta) is the most popular Karmaland ship that, to some extent, has become an inside joke between the boys and the community. I'll elaborate on this more in Rubius' post.
To simplify years and years of lore and drama, Rubius and Vegetta love each other, but they are incapable of being in an actual relationship. I've talked about it in depth before, but Vegetta said it best in this metaphor-filled exchange with Sapo Peta and Willy: Sapo Peta: I wanted to ask you about your relationship with that Rubius guy. Vegetta: Oh, yes well Rubius likes to be with me a lot, but at the same time he likes to snack everywhere, and he never finishes eating the morcilla (blood sausage). Sapo Peta: So he rejects you? Vegetta: It's not that he rejects me, it's that it doesn't finish clearing up, you know? We could say that our relationship is like a hamburger. WiIIy: You prepare it and he doesn't eat it. Vegetta: Exactly, he doesn't finish you know?
Or, as another person phrased it:
Tumblr media
The fault doesn't just lie with Rubius however; Vegetta himself can be pretty oblivious.
In Karmaland 4, despite the fact Rubius and Vegetta had a kid together and got married, it still didn't resolve anything. As soon as the vows were said and they were married, Rubius revealed it was all just a ploy to get Vegetta's diamonds and immediately asked for a divorce.
You can watch a translated animation of the entire wedding here.
Tumblr media
In Karmaland 5, after deciding he'd had enough of Rubius' BS, Vegetta decided to marry someone else (Lolito), but Rubius burst in at the last moment to stop the wedding. We all thought he'd finally confess his love and stop being so emotionally constipated, but instead he proposed to Lolito solely so Vegetta would remain single. (They're a mess, what can I say)
To quote a meme shared by another Spanish fan, Vegetta's reaction to that was basically: “You don’t want me to be with you, and you don’t want me to be with someone else. How miserable do I have to be for you to be happy?”
I do want to emphasize that even though Rubius and Vegetta sometimes have relationship issues / communication issues, it doesn’t diminish their friendship in the slightest. Even after both wedding disasters, they were back to speaking to each other the next week, being flirty and laughing together. Yes, they have issues, but their love for each other remains – despite everything.
(I should also note here that, even while engaged to Lolito, Vegetta was still flirty with Rubius).
Vegetta is very close friends with Luzu, who supported him during the fallout from both failed marriages.
In Karmaland 4, Rubius and Vegetta had a son named Brayan Dobluque (a mix of both their names).
Tumblr media
There's too much Rubegetta lore for me to cover everything, but Glay has a massive thread of translated Rubegetta clips I highly recommend watching if you'd like more context.
One clip I recommend is the Meteor date, which is one of the few instances where Rubius is honest vis-à-vis his emotions with Vegetta.
As a whole, their friendship / relationship is a romcom novela for sure, but sometimes they'll catch you off-guard with some romantic BS that'll make your heart ache. They really do love each other; they just don't know how to commit.
Vegetta is bi! (Both real life Vegetta and character Vegetta). Pretty much every single character in Karmaland is on the ‘ol rainbow spectrum somewhere.
Tumblr media
Lore aside, I feel like Vegetta, and pretty much all the Karmaland boys in general, have the least machismo (toxic masculinity) I've ever seen. They're all genuinely sweet guys who aren't afraid to be flirty and play gay characters in their queer little telenovela Minecraft series. (With the exception of Willy, who we like to joke is the "token straight friend"). Vegetta's a cool guy, and he's a great addition to the QSMP. I'm excited for you all to meet him!

febuwhump 2024 survey results
has it been six months since febuwhump? yes. yes it has. nevertheless, here's the cold hard data (analysis) of the survey from febuwhump 2024: feb five.
firstly, this year was our most popular yet! with 1417 works in the official collection across 329 fandoms, we made (and shared) 103 fics more than 2023, and 770 more than my first year running febuwhump in 2021! this isnt even including all the art and fics posted to tumblr, or wasn't shared during the event, which would put our total so much higher!
the prompt list had 4000+ notes and i received 115 responses to the survey.
there were 62 people in the hall of fame, up from 51 in 2023.
the blog hit 2,683 followers, up from 1,946 at the end of the 2023 event.
across two independant check, based on the average word count of 2,000 words per fic in the 2024 collection, and aware of the multi-chapter fics (some of which were finished after the event), it is estimated that 2.8 million words were written for febuwhump 2024. which is just. fucking insane.
now, onto the survey results!
firstly: in what way did you participate in Febuwhump this year?
Tumblr media
with extra write-ins not pictured, fanfiction was the overwhelming winner with 92 responses (82.6%), followed by original fiction (22.6%) and artwork (11.3%). interesting to me personally is the 4 responses who wrote poetry and the not-pictured 1 response who created web-weaving! which is very cool and i would like to see it.
fandoms
according to the survey:
the most popular fandoms written for were the star wars universe and legend of zelda universe (8/115 responses)
21 responses included original fiction
the majority of responses also referenced more than one fandom, meaning less people stuck to a single fandom or topic the entire time.
according to the collection:
21 anime/manga fandoms were represented
51 books/literature fandoms were represented, 12 being specific star wars subseries
24 RPF fandoms were represented, including bands and minecraft servers
the most popular fandoms written about in the collection were:
star wars (all media types) - 253 works
star wars: the bad batch - 80 works
torchwood - 66 works
original work - 56 works
my hero academia - 54 works
why and how
next, there were a lot of really lovely responses about why participants took part in febuwhump, a few favourite and repeated responses being that it seemed fun, they'd done it before and so wanted to do it again, and they liked to write about their favourite characters suffering. also, multiple people have been doing it for three of the four years i've been running it (of five total), and several were encouraged by friends!
the majority of participants discovered febuwhump through tumblr, the admin's tumblr, ao3 fics and discord servers. a handful said there's apparently a google doc floating around that houses a whump event calendar. i would be interested in seeing that if anyone's got it.
did you participate in Febuwhump 2020, 21, 22 or 23?
Tumblr media
the majorty of respondants were new comers to febuwhump at 66.1% "no" to 33.9% "yes". the majority of comparisons to previous years referenced a noticably bigger community, more interaction on the blog, and the admin being more "confident" (oh, you guys), however several noted that the prompts felt more repetitive or samey this year than they did previously.
are you a Febuwhump completionist or participant?
Tumblr media
a fairly even split, 51.3% of participants didn't finish compared to the 48.7% who did. however, only 88.1% of those completionists submitted to the hall of fame.
for those who didn't complete, the most common amount of prompts completed was 2 (13.6%), 3 (11.9%) and 12 or 6 (6.8%).
the most common place to share prompt fills was tumblr (74.8%), ao3 (72.2%), or choosing not to share at all (7%). several write-in responses said that they were planning to share in the future but hadn't yet. and while 76.4% of people submitted to the ao3 collection, those who didn't claimed it to be because the fics weren't ready to be shared on time, they weren't following the rules so didn't add to the collection, an inability to find the collection on ao3 (i swear i'm working on it) or shyness/fear.
what went well/even better if:
the only actual criticsm of the event received was that the blog was posting in a "spam"-like way, to the point that the participant almost unfollowed (and another suggested a reblog tag so it could be ignored easier if people didn't want to see the works throughout the month).
several comments asked for a later deadline for submission to the collection/hall of fame, which is going under advisement, but the current position is that by doing so, it makes the event a different event. there are no stakes to actually create once a day if, at the end of it, you actually get 2 weeks of extra time.
another couple mentioned there being too many dialogue prompts and vague prompts. this will be considered during the next voting period and prompt collation - potentially, if i allowed less dialogue prompts into the final 100 vote, less would make it through to the official 28, however the voting itself is out of my hands (unless voter fraud occurs once again).
the main suggestion for improvement (8 times out of 44 suggestions) was for an additional mod to help with reblogging more. (which imo flies in the face of the "spamming" from earlier, but there is surely a middle ground). this is likely to not happen, because i like running the event alone, despite the major burnout i receive every single year without fail. but thanks for your concern lol.
on discord:
31.3% of participants were in the discord server (which, this year, ignored the first year's 100 user cap and had 172 total users).
43.6% of people who didn't join the server did so because they hadn't heard of it, while the majority didn't join because they were either shy (the minorty) or don't use/like discord (the vast majority). i don't know if tumblr still does groupchats and if that would be a viable alternative, or if there is another forum/chat location that would work better (or to have in tandem), but i am open to suggestions.
of the people who were in the channel, most (33.3%) used it "rarely", followed by "most days" (25%) and "for half the month" (22.2%)
febuwhump 2025
the majority of responses wanted next year's colour scheme to either be red or green, but shout out to everyone who wanted orange, the person who said "children's hospital" and the other person who gave me this specific hex code: #4BEC13
Tumblr media
which is vile, but also another vote for green.
finally, here are my favourite suggestions for febuwhump 2025's colloquial name. previously, we have endured febuwhump 2: electric boogaloo, febuwhump 3: tokyo drift, fourbuwhump and feb five.
febuwhump 6 suggestions:
fe6uwhump (which, i'll be honest, is a real contender)
"I don't know"
febuwhump 666
febuwhump: revenge of the sixth
"I don't know, sorry"
"febuwhump sex and make all the prompts kinky"
"??? i have been thinking about this for 10 mins"
febuwhump 6(9)
feBEEwhump
"i am bad at this"
"could not care less"
febuwhump feb five 2: electric boogaloo
apparently, i accidently made this a mandatory question and that made some of you mad :(
and that's the wrap up survey, six months late! any questions/queries/want to see some of that cold hard data? send me an ask. i'll actually respond to it i swear! (probably!)

Wiritng prompt. Nothing that thought-out. Just an idea!
A minecraft themed story between the Giant mob and the player. And like its all hapoening IRL and the player is just playing survival and theres like multiple chapters worth of fearplay and confusion but like.
Geez i have a tendency to ramble
This. Was. So. Hard.
Oh my gosh I’ve never struggled so much just to make a short little piece, and it not even come out that good- I’m so sorry if you don’t like it TwT
With that said, I don’t like how this came out, but maybe others do? I have no idea- I’ll definitely re-do if you don’t like this (You probably won’t and I’m sorry again-) But thank you for the prompt either way!
Word Count: 2.8k
CW: referring to someone as an “it”, very very very vague vore (Literally just thinks they’re going to get eaten)
A Different World
———Kane———
I don’t remember how I arrived here. I don’t remember… anything really. Just a sharp pain in my back and then waking up in an oddly small clearing surrounded by trees that were now minuscule to me.
My eyes drifted off to the strange surroundings, wondering why everything was so tiny compared to me. I held out my hands in front of me, eyes widening at the size difference between them and the trees. Each one only the length of my palm. usually my heart would be racing in these scenarios… but it doesn’t even feel like I have a heart. I don’t feel… anything really. I wasn’t hungry, I wasn’t thirsty. Nothing at all.
The sun shone high above me, slightly making my eyes burn, along with my entire body but not so much that it felt uncomfortable. I studied my own body, finding myself in unfamiliar clothes that were slightly ripped. Not to mention that my skin looked dead. A decaying color on some parts, but otherwise pale. Just like a dead body. Was I dead? It didn’t really feel like it honestly, besides not having a heart.
I tried to open my mouth to speak, but it was like there were invisible strings tying my lips together. I had noticed that there were slightly faded green parts at the very tips of my fingers, and some faded parts along my shoulders as I looked through a few of the rips in my shirt. What was this? What am I?
I heard a familiar noise off to my left, making me look down to see an animal with black and white spots all over them. They made the noise again before running over to one of my hands, apparently thinking it was part of the foliage. I let out a playful huff, moving my hand slightly, sadly watching the cow jump up in fear and run as fast as it could into the safety of the forest. Was I really that terrifying? I guess I would never know. But, the real question was why was it so small?
A faint memory that I had was that I used to take care of some farm animals or something? I couldn’t really tell, but I knew that cows were never that small. If anything they were pretty much bigger than a human. So… was I not human? Why was everything so small here? It’s like this world was’t even mine anymore. Where am I then? How do I go back home?
I sighed, slowly standing up and somehow remembering how to walk. Would my memory come back to me? Maybe I can figure out how I even arrived here in the first place.
I took in the beautiful scenery that lie before me. It felt like I was standing on the very edge of a cliff, seeing a small waterfall that was just below my eyes, a river that reflected the light from the sun, a jungle that didn’t seem too far from where I was currently stationed. It was amazing how trees that once towered over me were now shorter than me. How did I remember that?
Questions that didn’t have answered filled my mind, but I just had to ignore them. It was obvious this wasn’t my world. It was obvious that I didn’t belong here. So how do I get back? Were there any people here anyways? Were they the same size as me? Or were they just as small as everything else around me? Mostly likely the latter. If there were people here, then how would I communicate when I can’t even open my mouth to speak? Would they just run off like the cow had earlier? Maybe I shouldn’t be focusing too much on that just yet… Probably more on finding a place to stay for the night. I don’t think it’d be good for me if someone did happen to find me at night. I don’t even know if this newfound body of mine needs rest.
I tried my best to walk slow and light so I didn’t alarm any nearby animals, though I doubt that was possible. I’m basically like a walking warning sign that read, “Don’t come over here! Huge, scary monster!” I sighed at the thought, deciding that I could just rest underneath a really strange cliff that connected to another mountain on the other side. How was I going to get out of here?
———Zayden———
The forest was oddly quiet today. The animals seemed to have gone quiet, the wind stopped rustling the leaves outside. Heck, my dog has been whining and hiding under the bed all day. Obviously something was wrong, and that’s surprisingly not abnormal around here. Along with the man-eating zombies, skeletons that have bows, spiders that were the size of your chest, these green mobs that just explode when they’re beside you, and enderman that are one of the scariest monsters that are out there, it wasn’t really weird to hear that the animals have all gone quiet. It just usually means that there was a monster that snuck into their home or something.
I sighed, grabbing my sword and dragging myself outside in the revolting heat, seeing that there were no monsters. Even checking all the small, hidden places. There was nothing. Np spiders along the walls, no zombie waiting to get their decaying hands on me. Absolutely nothing. So wha were the animals so afraid of?
I shrugged it off, heading over to Mira’s house to see if she was having the same problem.
Mira was a quiet person. She loved baking and helping out the nearby village whenever she could, whether it was help keep up  with their small gardens or just to check up on them. She tried her best to make our little area pretty and nice. With walkways that led to almost everywhere. My house, hers, Ash’s, the village, a nearby mine we go to when we need a few resources. I don’t know how to does it, but she does. Of course there were other people out there besides Mira, Ash, and I, but they lived in big communities.
I prefer the slow life. Not worrying about what I need to go get for the day, not worrying if someone has it out for me (because most people in the big village either steal or make a trade) so it really wasn’t the safest place to be. Plus, I love being outside, just not when the sun is grueling and practically melting the skin off my body.
Mira was home, the smell of cake filled the air as I walked closer, opening her front door and walking into the kitchen where I saw her cleaning up a few things before finishing up her mouth-watering cake.
“Zayden! Morning!’ She giggled, carrying the cake to the middle of her table where I sat at. I eyed it for a split second before shaking my head and smiling, “Morning. Ash still isn’t awake?” I laughed as she sighed, looking out her window and seeing that he was barely getting up.
“Barely woke up. He was out all day yesterday mining and came back just five hours ago.” She shrugged her shoulders, taking a seat at the table and holding her head up with her hand.
“Hey, are your cats acting weird? Like skittish or something?” I had asked, earning a questionable look from Mira, who slowly nodded her head.
“Yeah… It’s kind of weird. They just hide under the covers and every time I tried to take them out they just ran right back in.” She sighed, sounding worried. Today was just a weird day. Mira didn’t know what was going on, I doubt Ash did… but maybe the villagers know about something? I’d have to head over there later because whatever was happening was affecting the animals. I still found it odd that it was unnaturally quiet.
After a little catching up with Mira, I decided that I would go and investigate more. Obviously something was wrong, and it could possibly lead to something that we don’t want to happen. I would go ask the other people that lived an ocean away from us, but their “city” wasn’t really the safest place fro someone like me. Plus, I doubt Ash would be up for another trip after last night, but hey, maybe he can finally make himself a new, shiny sword.
I followed the path to the tiny town that lived by the small river. There were barely any people walking along the streets, but then again it was a small community. I waved to a few of the townsfolk, earning a few smiles and “heys!” As I passed by. There were kids playing around but the well as usual. It was eerily quiet here as well, and the animals here were also huddled up in a far corner. The caretakers seemed just as confused as I was.
“Did you hear the rumblings yesterday…”
“There’s been some weird noises coming from the woods…”
“Yeah animals came from all over yesterday!”
So they’ve actually had things happen? I guess I should start with just asking around. I don’t really want to explore the woods by myself without Ash (Since he actually knows how to fight the monsters) but it’s okay. I didn’t plan on staying for the night if I did decide to explore. Just see what I can find and hope that whatever if going on will just blow over and become someone else’s problem.
I walked over to a group of people talking, clearing my throat so I at least sounded professional, “Does anyone here know what happened? All the animals are just terrified.” They all shook their heads before one of them spoke, “No, there were strange earthquakes here though. Kind of like in increments? It-it was weird.” They all nodded their heads in unison, as if saying that this information was true.
I guess I wasn’t going to really get any information from here then if they were all just as confused as I was. Might as well go look for clues while the sun was still high up in the sky. It was just as quiet as it was by our house. Which either meant that whatever was causing this passed by here, or is still here. I dug out my sword, thinking that it was some kind of horrific new monster that we have yet to face. If it was then maybe this was a bigger problem than Mira and I had originally thought.
Overall, there was nothing out of the ordinary that wasn’t already. The eerie quiet, the lack of animals, people too scared to venture out at night now. The sun was setting, I was a little far from the village but I was certain I could get there without being attacked by anything. Hopefully.
Dodging trees, boulders, a small stream that I could easily jump over, I started to hear… a weird noise. My head turned towards the noise, listening for any sort of recognition that it was just some weird monster. Or maybe it was the monster that was causing all of this to happen. I shuddered at the thought, hoping that wasn’t the case. The farm animals don’t even get scared of the regular monsters. So obviously this was a little worrying.
I stopped in my tracks, listening once again for the strange, low noise I had heard. Was it weird that it sort of sounded like a whimper? But not form a dog. Like a human being. It just… sounded weird. Low, muffled a lot, and most of all it echoed through the entire forest.
“Hello? Anyone there?” I screamed, knowing I would most likely attract zombies but I could easily outrun them. I heard that same noise, almost like a grunting, that came from the two tall cliffs that I’ve only attempted at climbing once. It was always too steep and cold to make it all the way without some kind of protection.
I ran to the base of the cliffs, not seeing anything at all. The steady flow of the large river than ran into an ocean, you could hear the waterfall in the distance. Nothing seemed off here. Except for the fact that I felt like I was being watched. I turned around in every direction, searching the trees for something, or someone. But nothing. My heart had started beating faster than ever, not knowing if someone was or not.
I jumped at the same groaning sound, echoing off the walls of the huge, empty cave the cliffs made between them. My eyes couldn't adjust to the dark to see what was hidden, but could see a huge shadow emerge from the darkness, and soon enough, the light from the moon helped out in making whatever monstrous being that lie just ahead of me. With a shaky hand, I gripped my sword, pointing at the mountainous being. I’ve never seen  anything like this… only in those books Mira always read to Ash and I… My mind wandered off for a split second, trying to figure out meaningless conclusions. But nothing in those books could be true, right? I mean, there was a myth about a dragon that had lived in a different dimension, but no one even knows how to get there, if it exists at all. A wither? It’s incredibly hard to make those, and I don’t think they can get this big. I would bet that whatever this was, I’d only be a couple inches tall compared to it.
Releasing a shaky breath, watching as a… hand? Came down, somehow avoiding the crowded trees. I gulped, staring at it for just a split second before a human face appeared from out of the shelter it had made underneath the cliffs. It’s eyes were pitch black, with a few scars on it’s cheek. Skin pale, messy hair. It looked human, but there was no way it wasn’t. Was this like… a giant or something? Those weren’t real. Not in this world at least.
My legs almost gave out from underneath me, but I forced them to stay flat on the ground, getting ready to run at a moments notice. Of course I was was terrified. Who wouldn’t be? Having two pitch black eyes stare deep into your soul like it could judge your every move, a literal mountain towering high above me without ever trying. What was there not to be scared about. Heck, I would have ran off if I didn’t know that my legs would give up on me the second I tried. Instead, I stood still, hoping that it wouldn’t try anything.
My eyes darted to anywhere but it’s eyes, head now tilted while it made some kind of noise that I didn’t know. I focused on his hand, that hand’t moved since I first saw it, looking like it was gently placed. The slight green face on his wrist that turned into his pale skin, the few stitches that lined its neck as if it had suffered from some kind of injury. A zombie? Most zombies have scars, since they were once people after all.
The giant… zombie… thing opened its mouth, revealing sharp canines. I let out a quiet yelp, my steps faltering and falling back. Was it going to eat me? My mind went into panic mode, forcing myself back up and trying to run away, failing miserably at not tripping over my own two feet. I groaned, looking back at the curious face. My heart beating fast, body trembling, breathing fast. What was I supposed to do? It seemed like it was going to let me run off, but I couldn’t. Tears formed in my eyes, expecting for the worst to happen. Just a great turn of events… Just… great.
The giant in front of me tilted it’s head, confused. I just continued to hyperventilate, hoping that this was just some sick nightmare. None of this was real. Not at all. There totally isn’t a giant, possibly sentient, zombie in front of me. I jumped when something brushed up against my back, making me yelp and crawl away. It’s eyes widened, looking a bit sad, but retracted it’s hand. Yup… sentient. Never seen this before. What would happen if I made it out of this alive? Tell Mira and Ash? What would we even do? It’ snot like we can force this giant out. How did it even get here? Why weren’t there any monsters in the area? Were they scared of this giant too? So many questions and not enough answers.
I stared back into the black eyes that were full of curiosity again, taking a deep breath and standing up. This was going to be a long night. No matter how scared I was, I would just have to show that I wasn’t. That’s how I win this. It was just curious after all, it hasn’t hurt me yet, but that didn’t mean that it wouldn’t later on. I just have to hope no one comes looking for me.

Again, this was hard to make, I had no idea how to make this at all TwT

dream /neg
i saw this posted and got so mad i ranted but didn't want to reblog someone's post like that so i decided to just make my own-
HEAVY DREAM /NEG!!!! DON'T LIKE IT? BLOCK ME AND MOVE ON
Tumblr media
quackity made qsmp because of his experiences as a bilingual creator and his want to bring his two worlds together. He wanted to help break down language and culture barriers, which he LITERALLY DID ON THE FIRST DAY THROUGH THE WALL. I can't imagine a reason dream has for this other than...attention? idk. Everything about this screams that he just wants to do what quackity is doing but "bigger and better" and that misses the point of qsmp and, even if I'm wrong about his intentions, makes dream look kinda like a dick.
Oh, first-ever bilingual server? well here's the first MULTI-LINGUAL SERVER, which hinges on the technicality that 'multi' here means 3+, not 2+, even though multiple just means 'more than one'. But that technicality is bullshit!!! So, no, actually, QSMP is the first Multilingual server. Fuck off!!!!!
The addition of 'live translation' is iffy to me, I checked out his video on the mod just to make sure I know what I'm talking about and... yeah it's iffy at best. It's technologically cool, and I will give him credit for making a mod for this. However, that's not that much praise all things considered. Practically, you'll have to constantly be looking at other people's character's ALL THE TIME in order to have a conversation with them, which isn't feasible in a natural way. I'm honestly not going to say much about the translations themselves because I'm only fluent in English. However, I still highly doubt that his mod will pick up on any nuances and slang in a different language
Basically, it would have been better to not do this to not bother with a mod, and to encourage others to learn different languages LIKE QUACKITY DID.
Large servers with 60+ people and 6 leaders...so like they all get grouped together? What is this a shitty model un? And with the leaderboard, I want to laugh at the idea that this is a very very bad take on Minecraft Olympics. What will they score, achievements? How many kills someone can get in a tournament-style bracket? How many blocks mined? What on earth is 'language ranking'???? This is a server that already had multiple languages set on the premises of uniting there isn't a need for another gimmick? TBH im so baffled on this that I'm curious enough to not seriously talk shit on that part but that doesn't count for the next thing I'll rant about-
"with equal say in decision making"- First of all FUCK OFF /SRS. The biggest issue people had with the dsmp was that smaller streamers weren't listened to. They constantly tried to stream with others to get their storylines going, and yet nothing. It was also heavily implied that the main person ignoring everyone and not communicating well behind the scenes was FUCKING DREAM. First of all, as the main server admin, owner, and Guy In Charge, that's horrible management. Yet he's never spoken about it as far as I'm aware. He's never given a reason he's so unreachable. So, if I'm correct, that makes THIS COMMENT the first time he's mentioned the dsmp's shit communication issues and it's done in such a backhanded way I want to scream like YOU WERE THE ISSUE DREAM. It's just tacky, imo.

All Tomorrows: Vanga-Vangog Stickmen Hc’s
Tumblr media
Say hello to Vanga’s Stickmen, the descendants of the infamously tall and frail Strider’s. Unlike in canon where they would all be devoured mercilessly by giant chickens, the Stickmen’s ancestors managed to survive by climbing and living on the giant, skyscraper-like trees of their world.
Although a little less tall than the Stickmen, they are much sturdier due to needing to jumping across different trees and survive falls. They communicated visually via the rapid changing of colors and shapes of their leaf-like growths and sign language, and their culture emphasized coexistence, patience, and pacifism.
As philosophical as the Pterosapien’s yet opposite in their overall message, the Stickmen are one of the most interesting fanmade species I’ve seen yet, and I wish to post my headcanons about them like I did for the others.
-Because of their very low metabolism’s and the wonders of medicine, Stickmen were among the longest-lived posthumans in the second empire, capable of living hundreds if not over a thousand years! Friendships with other, shorter-lived species would last long after death, with the Stickmen befriending their friends children and grandchildren, giving them sagely advice and wisdom or just cheerfully, casually talking to them.
-Because of their arboreal lifestyle and pacifism, the Stickmen did not have the same domestication process as other posthumans. They did not domesticate a wolf equivalent nor any grazing animals, instead domesticating giant, eagle-sized colonial bees for honey and other byproducts, giant pigeon descendants for the harvesting of feathers, infertile eggs, and as message carriers, and even a species of giant, flying pig descendants larger than the Quetzalcoatlus, who were often used to protect these pigeons and bees from any predators. Also domesticated colonial spiders for their webs, which they used to make ropes and clothing.
-Their domesticated plants were also different. They would carefully tend their trees for the harvesting of boulder-sized fruits and tree nuts, grow mushrooms via large, house-sized stacks of logs from trees which naturally passed away, and also grow algae in vast pools of shallow water. Outside of the algae, their foodstuff was bigger due to it having naturally evolved that way.
-Due to their need of visual communication, their clothing was usually light, never covering their heads, shoulders, or forearms. Their clothes would be made from mycelium threads, feathers from their domestic pigeons, and webs from their domesticated spiders. Yes, their shirts were always off-shoulder tops, teachers hate them!
-A running theme for these Hc’s is that they never developed capitalism, and the Stickmen were no different! In fact, most of their goods were handmade, carefully and delicately made over weeks or months to be as high of quality as possible, and gifted to close friends and family. Only absolute necessities such as medication, infrastructure, and purified water would not be homemade, and it would still be a careful process that emphasized the lack of harm to anyone, both their own and other species.
-This included movies and videogames, with practically zero in the way of crunch or abuse. The former of which would last hours if not days, and the latter would often resemble that of animal crossing, a tactical rpg ala Fire Emblem, or literally just Minecraft! No joke, they remade Minecraft on complete accident!
-Their art was primarily that of tattoos and body modifications to distinctive themselves, large-scale land art made from specially grown plants, fungi, stones, or non-toxic paint, meant to be appreciated fully from the top of treetops or skyscrapers, and gardens that allow for peaceful meditation. They had little music however, as sound travelled poorly in their world.
-They are one of the four founding species of the Second empire, along with the Satyriacs, Killer Folk, and Rot Eaters. They were stereotyped as spaced-out, yet extremely wise and peaceful, thought of as the mediators of the other 3 species. This, of course, was a stereotype, one that many Stickmen found a little insulting.
-Because of a culture emphasizing patience and the fact high gravity worlds would kill them, they decided on the extinct Lopsider’s idea of creating an artificial race to colonize the stars. Unlike with the Asymmetric’s however, it wasn’t a rash, cold-hearted process meant to create slaves to do dangerous, dirty work for them, but instead a slow, caring process that would go into the centuries, meant to be sure the Stickmen’s descendant species would have lives much better than their own, not struggle in the colonization of new planets, and modified to be superior in every way outside of height. (A given due to square-cube law) These people would be allowed to live free, independent lives from their parent species, and would pick a name for themselves. This name? The Sproutlings.

Symphony of Gods and Dreamers (DSMP AU)
🟢 DSMP (sorry for bad grammar, this was mostly just me vomiting my ideas onto the post)
My DSMP au makes the world so much bigger and full of life than canon.
The arctic empire from SMP earth exists, hypixel is a whole kingdom, the bear SMP exists and that’s where Niki is from, the wreckage of tales from the SMP locations can be found in the woods, places from fanfics such as the blue valley are very important to the story. The story takes place over a much longer period of time, the L’Manberg revolution alone lasts several years! Dream is like 50! He was an adult before Wilbur was even born. Tommy and Tubbo had families before being adopted by Philza, but they were killed by Dream’s armies in their quest to conquer the world. Dream stole the revival book from Kristin decades ago.
Dream is a tyrant and a cult leader with armies and followers dedicated to his mission to control as much of the world as possible. The DreamSMP is a continent that Dream has discovered and, at the beginning of the events of the server, it has small townships spread around the woods that are full of people gathering resources for colonies. The original L’Manberg members were followers of Dream who had begun to question his power.
Las Nevadas is not just one street with some restaurants and a casino! It’s a massive fucking city with hundreds of thousands of citizens, they have communities and schools and farmer’s markets, It’s the first city in the SMP with paved roads! Snowchester is a cosy little college town up north surrounded by mountains. Students from schools in Snowchester and Las Nevadas go on field trips to L’Manberg and Eret’s castle. The center of the SMP is this huge historic town kept in top condition by volunteers dedicated to preserving the history of the land.
Kinoko Kingdom was built by natives of the SMP and can be found deep within the forest. The people of the kingdom have myths and legends of a time when dragons and demons and gods roamed the earth. When Sapnap showed up, being half demon, they worshipped him and made him their ruler.
There is an entire cult that worships DreamXD! every few hundred years XD selects a member of his cult to give godhood to (Techno, Foolish, and Callahan are amongst those selected). DreamXD is older than the universe itself and has witnessed the rise and fall of countless worlds. Several SMP members were gods in their past lives and knew XD personally (some relationships were more positive than others). That’s why XD is so infatuated with George and so hateful of Bbh.
Characters like Puffy, Antfrost, and Sam are just single individuals who are members of entire original species. Ranboo was born a prince in the end but his people were driven out. The nether was accidentally discovered by cultists and legend says that’s where the demons came from.
My vision of the SMP has grown far beyond a Minecraft roleplay. I wish I could tell you everything but that would take way too long to write. For now I’m just focusing on Wilbur and the other bursonas. I can’t possibly talk about every single character and that makes me mad. Maybe in the future I will go into more detail on sbi and DreamXD.

(Alright, it's long post time again, this time about the Admin Drama)
So we're hearing a lot about some behind-the-scenes drama, and unfortunately, it's making a lot of things make a lot more sense in retrospect
For example, the fact that French Creators have been consistently overlooked makes sense when you learn that there have apparently only been 2 French Admins on the team, with one of them being fired recently, and the other one being potentially removed from the whitelist for the server, for reasons that are likely not even true
Throughout big events, there's always been a sense that people weren't 100% sure what was going on, and if I'm being honest, I found that at least somewhat excusable at the time
This is a big project, bigger than any other Minecraft-Related project I know about, with over a dozen different content creators and at least 5 different languages. I can understand at least to a certain point, that trying to balance that many different storylines, and keep the overarching storyline intact, can be a challenge, that I doubt many people would have the sufficient experience to deal with properly, especially with all the other added hurdles of managing the language/culture barrier. I was willing to chalk it up to Growing Pains, that they were realizing the mistakes as they happened and would hopefully not repeat them in the future
(Basically, to me it felt like a DND Campaign, where each player does have the choice to make their own stories and character arcs in said Campaign. However, it's up to the DM's discretion on what they can use, since they still have to keep the overarching plot going. While they should try as hard as they can to include what makes each player happy, there might be a point that what the player wants to do isn't compatible with the current plan, and it's up to the DM whether or not they can actually do it)
However, to at least some extent, that is clearly not the case. It's been made very apparent that someone, likely multiple people on the Admin Team, is horribly mismanaging things that we aren't able to see fully. From manufacturing drama, to taking advantage of passionate people who simply love the project, to outright ignoring some of the Content Creators that are also keeping this project alive and therefore being actively detrimental to this communication-based project
As of now, I'm hearing that Quackity himself doesn't seem to have much to do with this directly. And once again, if that's true, I can understand it, at least a little. Running a project and participating in that project can be difficult, and be actively detrimental to their enjoyment. So to a certain point, I can understand not being SUPER heavily involved in every single thing behind-the-scenes and leaving some of it to other people. However, this is clearly not working. If he really didn't know much about what was going on, then he either needs to find someone he can actively trust to make sure this sort of thing doesn't continue, or take a much heavier role in the management to keep it from happening again
He's said before that he's been losing money because of QSMP but doesn't care because it's his passion project, and I would like to believe that. From what we've seen, he does actively love doing this, and seems to be really passionate about breaking down these communication barriers, and he has done a lot to that end. But it can't come at the expense of others, who are the backbone of these sorts of projects. I really hope he does something to take care of this, even it it means shutting down QSMP temporarily to do a complete overhaul of Admin Management
(I would also like to say that if Pomme's admin really gets permanently fired for all of this, I'll be actually seriously upset. She's put way too much time and effort into the server (FOR FREE, WE NOW KNOW) and has been playing alongside numerous CCs and boosting the enjoyment of them as well as the people watching them. Not to mention that she's now the ONLY French Admin at the moment that we know of, and not having ANY French Admins would be a serious problem)
I've loved QSMP almost since it started, and I would love to see it continue. But it can't be at the expense of peoples' health, mental health, and livelihoods. If people are doing work like this, they deserve to be compensated appropriately, and treated right. Otherwise, there isn't a point in this. Here's hoping that these problems can be properly addressed and resolved, and I hope everyone is alright during whatever happens next

CKAU: Part One of ???
I often find myself struggling to write the first chapter of the Communication Knife AU.
When I first started writing awesamdream, it was me spitballing ideas in the dreblr minecraft server when it first opened, and trying to have fun with a ship that, at the time, wasn't considered A Big Thing, or was purely for whump purposes. And while writing for an AU, Sif was also there, poking and tormenting lovingly as a Sif does, and mentioned the concept of Auspisticism, a homestuck relationship, in regards to Dream, Sam, and Punz. And then one thing led to another, and now I have this big thing that makes me happy and had grown a lot bigger than I expected it to, and there's so many little drabbles and snippets and smut pieces that came out of it, that by the time new people started asking what the hell I was talking about, I realized that the context wasn't properly put together and hard to explain.
So I tried to put together a whole fic for it! And it hasn't been going well.
Because I really want to do the fic justice. I want to make it sound really lovely and use all the right words and explain very well all the things that made me insane so you can understand just the way it went when all this started! But in trying to do that, it's become so hard to write. I feel stuck, the words won't come, I overthink and overedit, and nothing is good enough.
But I still really, really do want to explain the AU so you can understand. And i know it won't be the perfect, well designed thing I built in my head, with all the write prose and all the little extra fancy things, but I'd rather you have it imperfectly than not at all.
Here you go, part one of ???:
(Sam: he/him
Dream: he/him
Punz: they/he
just to make sure.)
When things get bad for Dream in prison, he offers Sam sexual favors in return for better treatment, food/blankets/etc., and Sam agrees to this, regardless of the terrible ethics involved. Its not a great situation, for like, Obvious Reasons, and the consent is very much dubious here. Sam's possessive behavior is at its peak, and even if there ends up being less torture as part of the deal, it doesn't change that things are still fucked up.
When Dream escapes prison and finds Sam during Daedalus Arc, after scarring Sam, Dream offers to meet up to have sex again next week, out of a need to feel in control, to prove how he was Totally Not Traumatized he was and how he was absolutely fully capable of consenting to it, and the two continue their sexual activities.
However, Punz, who has been in a comfortably open relationship with Dream since before prison, bristles at the idea of Sam taking advantage of Dream, of the severe power imbalance still being a problem, and comes with him to these sexual encounters to protect him and keep Sam from pushing Dream's boundaries. They set up some rules, and if Sam breaks any or steps out of line, Punz will stab him with a special, gaudy blue knife that has 'Communication' engraved in its handle.
--
"He tortured you!"
"Technically it was Quackity who did the torturing." Dream corrected him, meticulously sorting his inventory. Their base felt suffocating, tiny, and he wanted to be done and gone already, but Punz seemed ready to fight him the whole way.
"Don't give me that shit," Punz snapped. "Sam let him in, he starved you half to death, for God's sake, Dream, he r-"
"It was not." At breakneck speed, Dream turned on his heel and hissed. "I said yes. Don't you dare say I didn't."
"You weren't in a position to say no." Punz said fiercely. Something dark and angry crushed their heart in its fist. "You didn't have any choice-"
"I had a choice!"
The world seemed to stop moving, the air stale. Dreams breaths were shaky, heaving, and Punz realized with a lump in their throat that Dream was trembling from stress.
"I had a choice." Dream repeated. "And it was mine. Not his, not anyone's. I'm going to see him again, and that's my choice too. Not yours."
They could stop him, a little voice in the back of their head murmured. They could stop him and- and keep him safe. Prevent anyone else from hurting him again. They could say the right words that would cause him to falter ("for me." Punz had once pleaded, and Dream bent, as he always did) and then Sam would never touch him. They could even kill the creeper hybrid, to be sure. They would destroy the entire server with the Plan, and Dream would finally be safe.
But.
Dream needed this. Whatever he said, whatever he thought, he'd been denied agency for so long. The thought of them being the one to take it away, his friend, when they were supposed to be the one person on the server who he could trust… it made them feel sick.
Dreams trembling faded, and he straightened up, before he throwing his cloak over his shoulder.
Punz made his decision. "I'm coming with you."
"What?"
"I'm your backup, and your mercenary, and your partner. If Sam has a problem with it, just say you rehired me."
--
At the very beginning, the rules are this:
No Kissing. Punz doesn't think Sam deserves kisses, and they're vicious about enforcing this. Kisses are for Punz alone, and Sam is incredibly jealous.
No marks. Sam has tried to leave hickies or bruises, but it was quickly shut down. When he argued this, Punz told him that he could leave marks when all the marks (torture scars) he already made on Dream were gone.
No cuddling or aftercare. Since Sam insisted that the sex didn't mean anything, clearly that means he doesn't need to be involved in taking care of Dream after. Punz will take him away and they can be the one to hold Dream. (Not that Sam longed for that. He doesn't feel more desperate each time the two leave him behind. Of course not.)
The most obvious one: what Dream says goes. Sam isn't allowed to Override Dream and insist his way is better, and he isn't allowed to take whatever he wants without asking. If Dream needs a moment, or would like to change positions, or even just say he'd rather not, Sam must listen. Punz will make him listen.
And so every week all three of them get together, usually at the prison, and have sex. Its a very complicated, unhealthy dynamic, for a lot of different reasons.
Punz, usually able to gauge what Dream wants/what would make him comfortable, is left blind, because Dream is always a little uncomfortable here, always stressed, and Punz can't fix that. They're trying their best, and they know that Dream could shut down and be unable to express himself if the wrong button is pushed, but in the beginning its a mess. At some point he micromanages where Sam puts his hands, pushing and arguing with him over whose allowed to say where Sam can and can't touch, and neither of the two argue that it should be Dream.
It doesn't help that Punz is jealous. They don't want to be, especially not in this situation. But Sam's possessiveness of Dream, the way he taunts about knowing Dream in ways nobody else possibly could- it sets off that part of Punz that has always been so self-satisfied with his place as Dream's most intimate companion, the other half of his soul.
(Its the server's second stupidest dick measuring contest where they accidentally objectify Dream in the process, while they also compete to see who Dream likes more.)
Sam, on the other hand, is constantly having to reckon with the fact that he wasn't actually as good as he thought he was. Punz doesn't let him get away with spewing the same lines of crap and insisting he's always right. Sam also considered himself A Good Lover and good at getting Dream off (the only one who knows him, who knows him Best), and his ego takes a fucking hit when Punz corrects him. When Punz points out that certain things were actually harmful/not enjoyable, its hard for Sam to accept because it means he fucked up and made assumptions in his head and Punz rubs each of those in.
Sam tries to defend himself by pointing out that Dream went along with it, and which leads to Punz pointing out that he didn't have much of a choice/wasn't in a good situation to make that choice at the time, and that's the one time it nearly comes to blows between them before Dream speaks up to tell them both to knock it off.
(Sam discovers One (1) kink that Punz doesn't know about and he's so fucking smug about it despite fucking up literally everything else.)
(No matter how many wins Sam thinks he gets during their weekly time together, Punz still gets to take Dream home, do aftercare and keep him safe. Sam hates how much he wants that too, despite the fact that according to his own weird moral code he shouldn't.)
And as much as this is most definitely causing more issues, it does leave Dream actually feeling more in control of his situation.
He gets so much praise now! This is basically therapy but better! He even gets aftercare with no torture. He's getting good dick and most of his kinks are getting hit, truly luxurious for a cDream. He's a lot more confident and content, and he isn't constantly on the defensive, because if Punz says he didn't deserve what happened to him, even if its just a single person, Dream doesn't have to fight to prove that he's a person deserving of basic human decency.
But the Most Important Thing That Makes All This Take The Turn It Does: At first, Sam thinks that the proper solution to all of this is to get Dream all to himself again in his prison where he belongs and not fixing his behavior any more than what he needs specifically to get there.
However, during an very short period of time where Sam is able to be with Dream without Punz there to scrutinize, Sam attempts to do stuff like how he used to before Punz, to prove he doesn't need him, that they don't need him.
But now he knows, he knows that Dream isn't actually into a lot of the things he was trying, or at the very least he likes other things more. He had it proved to him, and he's aware that things can be a lot better. Dream's clearly nervous, anxious, and not super into this, and Sam can tell, and now all he can see are all those little signs that he's fucking up, and it's getting into his head.
In the end, he can't even get himself to go through with it, because now it feels wrong and he can't ignore that. He makes an excuse, and he's frustrated and aggressive, but he doesn't try this again without Punz there.
Mentally he can justify it as Punz would kill him if he did. This is just a matter of self-preservation.
But quietly his plans adjust to not just needing to get Dream under his control. He'll need to get Punz too in order for things to be perfect.

Villager and Illager Thoughts - headcanon
Thinking about the way society works with my silly little MC world...
Villagers probably have large sections of the world where they populate it, some villages are bigger than others and are very valuable trading places, but all villages are far enough away from each other that you'd have to use a horse or minecart to reach them, and even then, it might take a day or two.
I imagine theres wandering traders that group together in caravans, but nothing too big. maybe if you pay them a few emeralds they'll drop you off by a town in a few days. They're nomadic people, hardly ever staying for than a week, if that. They're always happy to see people, any new traveler is a customer and friend. Super friendly. Some can be sleazy, but they'll never give you items you can live without. Important fellows to those that live far away from any exotic places. They most likely know all or many languages, both spoken and written. It's better for business. I think to think they even raid temples at times!!! Maybe going though Jungle or Desert Temples just to leave things behind or take items,,
I think Illagers make plans of the best areas to build their strong beautiful mansions, and look for stable ground to build their outposts. I would think they have a way of communicating with those in the Mansion, maybe the ones that live there are more important or higher ranking. It seems like Evokers have a high status among other Illagers. Pillagers being the bottom of course. I also want to include more Illagers like those that were included in MCDungeons. They seem like so much fun, and different forms of magic usage seems logical. I mean Iceologers, Geomancers, and Wind Callers are all super interesting and really important to magic lore in the MC universe as a whole.
I do not consider Witches, Illagers (and neither does minecraft iirc) They all kinda just vibe and feel like they have their own lives. Not exactly violent, but curious and mischievous in ways that Villager culture clashes with. They all live on their own, but some make deals with Illagers or Villages. Their magic and potions in exchange for protection or resources. I imagine every village that contains a Cleric, knows of at least one Witch they can learn from, even if its gotta be in secret. I agree almost wholeheartedly with RetroGamingNow's interpretation of the Witch, I think its clear and makes a lot of sense, it's what i assumed for a very long time anyways. I feel like Witches are a fairly new source of magic in the world, compared to Illager and Villagers. This leads to them being seen as lesser than and never fitting in with either group. They rally in the ways of excitement, curiosity and overall, being true to one's self and never feeling sorry for being different. Witches are one of the most diverse groups, many of which are highly skilled and dangerous, but wouldn't hurt a fly without reason. Super happy group, some are hybrids or weren't even born Witches. My idea is there are Witches that are born as just that, and are brought up in the culture. The others are folks who practice witchcraft and chose to align themselves with the philosophy. (they refer to themselves as Witches if they'd like, its not required)
I touched on it a fair bit earlier, but, I had the idea that Villagers were also a being capable of magic. I like to think that the Iron Golems they spawn are from magic. villagers can create and build things when absolutely necessary or for their work, but they do not partake in magic since it is a lost art in their culture. However, the summoning of an Iron Golem unlocks a very deep connection with their world, allowing them to create life from (seemingly) nothing. (it actually does consume materials, it just takes those materials directly from the world from random places) A village will usually construct one themselves the physical way, but if under enough stress and fear, one can be summoned. Depending on the threat, it can be a permanent form, or just disappear after the Villager is safe. Illagers cannot do this, their connection with the Golem was cut as soon as they decided their fates. Iron Golems will only ever protect Villagers as Illagers are capable of protecting themselves. Although a Ravager is close to a Golem, I don't know how to fully implement them, as they must be fairly new to their technology.
Those are all my thoughts right now, things are subject to change. But yeah :0)

I feel like something has been lost with Minecraft over the years and I do not know if it's the nostalgia talking. I don't mean any gameplay features or anything, there was a vibe about that I felt was lost by the time they started adding more and more content to the game.
Before villagers and endermen and hunger bars, back when Minecraft was still in beta, there was this loneliness out there you couldn't articulate, but expressed itself in many ways. You were alone, this meant the entire world was in your hands to create. You were alone, and outside of zombies and pigs there was no sapient being other than you, building only for yourself. You were alone, and while you're building your fort, the music chimes in - not exciting or motivating, but calm, almost sad - as if emphasizing and recognizing your solitude. You were alone, but you swear there's something peeking at you from the edge of the fog, making you unsure if you were really alone. You were alone, you were home, but at the same time it feels like whatever was your home is lost and you have to start anew.
It was calming, saddening, scary at times. I've seen people say that old Minecraft has a liminal aspect to it. The old chunky lighting, the dark winding gray tunnels that generated odd noises at rare moments, the low render distance fog that envelops everything in a blue haze. But it was also the old terrain generation that created weird spikes and cliffs and grottos and floating islands amidst of the smooth landscape. The random quirks that made you question if something other than you was in the game. The vibe was almost fantastical even though on it's surface everything was so simple. Is it any wonder that people saw fantasy elements in that game, or urban legends like Herobrine?
But now there's hunger and experience points, villagers and pillagers, endermen and piglins, ancient temples underground and underwater, bastions and mansions and end cities. There's traders and llamas, polar bears and axolotls, telescopes and archeology. Overpowered enchantments and farms for everything. A billion different blocks and building techniques. Final bosses and hidden lore. 50 different types of biomes and terrain generation that tries more and more to emulate reality. The calm, Ghibli-esque serenity of old Minecraft has faded and has been replaced with endless content.
I'll admit this is an "old man yelling at clouds" moment for me, I recognize that the liminal, fantastic elements of old Minecraft mainly come from nostalgia. However, it's so difficult to get into the current version of Minecraft for me. There's too much to do, too much set out for you, yet somehow none of it feels exciting. What was once a homestead turned into an endless sprawling landscape of two billion features that don't really seem to enhance anything about the game. It's like coming back to your childhood house and seeing it turned into mansion. It's bigger and better in every way but the core of what made it feel like home was destroyed in the process.
I might just be talking out my ass, but Minecraft just doesn't feel the same anymore, it hasn't for a long time. There's a community of people who play Beta 1.7.3 and yeah, they get what I mean. That's when the vibe was the strongest. That's when it felt most like Minecraft to me.

I always love reading your takes and insight on q!bbhs character, you put what I keep thinking and see into words and is SO WONDERFUL to see someone get it :'). But speaking of which what do you think of q!bbh whole thing with anarchy rn?
Thank u so much :D I’m glad u appreciate my incoherent ramblings about a block man XD
Minecraft politics - and politics in general for that matter - are whole can of worms I usually try not to touch too closely. There is too much opportunity for misunderstandings and pointless arguments that discussions usually just feel like an excuse to get mad. So take all this in good fun, I’m not saying if q!bad is right or wrong to think this way, it’s not that serious lol
The thing we first need to understand is that - before the election - the islanders were essentially living in an anarchist commune. The federation existed but mostly left them alone and let them rule themselves, which they did. Everyone lived as they pleased and they all had an unspoken agreement: live and let live.
When someone became a problem, the islanders came together and dealt with it themselves. When Slime tried to kill all the eggs after Juanaflippa’s death, bbh, Jaiden, and Roier were able to talk him down. They held a trial - federation sponsored- but the islanders were the ones calling the shots. When Quackity plotted to murder the eggs, the islanders came together again and stopped him. When they were threatened by the code, the islanders came together to defend the eggs.
What is the point of a governing body? To create order and resolve conflict. The islanders were already doing this without a governing body. They didn’t need it.
What do most governments actually do? They consolidate power and oppress. Even the most benign progressive government is going to leave someone in the gutter. By creating a box to put society into, it is the very nature of the box that some things are not going to fit or are going to be forgotten.
This is what bbh is afraid of. This is why he dislikes government. Why should anyone have the power to decide that a few chairs going missing is a bigger threat to the island than land mines that cause ten times as much destruction? The actual principle of who is right is irrelevant. Why should someone have this power to decide for others what is an is not okay. Why should someone else tell you how to live your life if you aren’t hurting anyone.
Bad’s been saying this since the day the elections were announced. They don’t need this. A President is going to create unnecessary restrictions and is the gate way to federation overreach. Some people have said bbh is a hypocrite for running for office but it’d be even more hypocritical to do nothing. If you see a train barreling towards you and there is a lever within reach to change the tracks, would you not pull it? You could just step off the tracks but then everyone who is unaware of the danger behind you would still be struck.
I think q!bbh’s anarchism is one of the most misunderstood things about his character - partially because I think the common perception of anarchy is intentionally misconstrued by the media but that’s not a conversation to be had while I’m talking about block men XD
Thanks for the ask and I hope I answered ur question :3

ANYWAYYYYYYY no more of the heavy serious post time to gush over new location within the Harbour.
It's a bigger landmass than before because of the need to fit multiple houses and like... any other circumstance I'd not make this post public bc Privacy Risk Alert Alert (alarm sounds) but honestly we're 98% less obscured from the shoreline and air alike than the prior house was so... We are findable this time anyway lmao.
My house has these pinks and peachy reds and dark purple-black accents for the exterior (interior is more varied) and I love it so much. I have a sunset mural centered on the front door!! The pink flower garden fits perfectly with it I love it.
To my left is the path down to the beach behind us, then Selek's house, a quarter turn around the center further left is the path to the docks, then Molly+Sarret+Kalvan's house, ahead is the pond and beyond that the library with the plot for the bigger functional garden around it, quarter turn to the right is Raz's house and Mira's house, behind there is the guest houses, I think down the hill towards the docks is where someone else we have in the group has put his house and then just to the right of my house is the communal workshop. The center of the green is a big pond with a fountain on the library side.
I think Mira is working on adjusting the pond to be habitat for some fish! Super exciting. Selek is working on an observatory up at the top of the bluff behind our little township and Molly was talking with Dahlia about the best arrangement for an in-house mini clinic establishment for us to do our own treatments at and so she has more supplies when she gets called here and so we can be of more help to others if needed.
Selek's house is I think the smallest by his own design, it's this pale cottage that honestly is more potted plants and notebooks than it is building materials; what house is visible is these stunning purples and silvers and what I can only describe as rose-whites. Molly/etc's house is styled after his old estate so it's this large gothic sprawling home with these deep blues and purply-reds and accent work in these shimmering pearlescent colors. The library is a large affair in reds and yellows countered by this opalescent white-purple, the colors inside are stately faded pinks and purples like mesa caves in minecraft almost. Raz has a respectably large house - he's also transferred much of his belongings here after all - in deep deep blues and rose golds and pale greenish trim. Mira... black and cream log cabin, basically, absolutely jawdropping mural of this coastal scene on the one side that looks like something out of a movie or a famous painting. It's enchanted to move and have ambient noise, too, I'm kinda jealous.
The guest houses are more plain so they're readily customized if moved into, two are rosy tans and two are pale purples; each can fit up to three people.

random urge to make a long as heck post about matpat
im gonna say though if your take is simply “i just miss when they did more The Science Of and applying real world logic to games” then. yeah honestly fair take/criticism. but this post isnt really about that. its clearly not as sensationizable but yknow im seeing more of that type pop up from other yters
anyway
tldr of this is i like his goofy cherrypicked headcanons esp for games without actual deep lore, but i do think its bad when he chooses games like hollow knight or deltarune, games with actual deep lore and stuff to theorize on, and takes his wacky spin on things, as it feels disrespectful
unless its very very clear that its a joke theory, like theres no way he thought sans was ness, it was just a fun little headcanon of his
anyway, long version
whenever people call out matpat for being insane with his theories im like
no yeah they are weird.
i think its just… theyre moreso just wacky what if scenarios than actual lore analysis
and as someone who spends time reading and watching actual like, lore theory videos and story analyses? i respect what matpat does because its a unique niche. sure, it may not be fitting to call them theories, but at this point i feel like a Game Theory is distinct from a theory about a game
like, i think matpat is a good case study for how you can cherry pick evidence to support like, any claim, if you try hard enough
i think like. sure, back then he had more videos of actually predicting what s games story was, but even then theyd occasionally get wacky
and the prominence of stuff like “mario is a psychopath! ash is dead!” has only gotten bigger
so as a massive undertale lore nut…
do i hate sans is ness? no. because i dont look at it like i look at actual ut theories. if i want utdr theories i go to like, andrew cunningham or jarujaru.
heck i really really disagree with his take on minecrafts lore but i also respect that he does it, because minecraft was kinda made for thinking up your own stories and explanations
are they often insane? yes. is that whats entertaining? to many, yes
i dont fault him, in short. its a niche market and someone has to do it. someone had to make a video on why peachette means the toads are like, replacing peach and making a new queen bee of sorts. banger.
i think its just when he chooses games that DO have actual serious lore communities and tries to make an actual lore video on them that its bad. thats when it fails. (see hollow knight)
but for mario? ofc i wanna hear his funny thoughts
in terms of fnaf, i think his crazy mind with bonkers ideas just meshed really well with the nonsensical lore of fnaf
in conclusion, i dont watch him much but i dont reaaally agree with hate on him, even if i can understand absolutely malding after hearing him try to make a serious theory about a game you love (so sorry hollow knignt fans)
in terms of him as a person? having watched markipliers powerwash pals video with him, he seems like a nice guy. also definitely past any sort of edgy phase
not that i idolize him tho tbh
