So I was re-watching a couple of the earlier episodes of KPTS earlier last week, and I got to thinking about this scene again from episode 2. I remember when I first watched this scene, I thought to myself, “Ah, Porsche…you judgmental himbo, you would say that, wouldn’t you?” 😂
Personally, I’ve always been somewhat of the belief that Porsche and Kim probably wouldn’t get along in the beginning, not necessarily because of Chay (although Chay would probably be part of the reason), but because of how fundamentally different their mindsets are when it comes to how they see the family unit.
Porsche is a good son. He does his best to live up to the responsibilities Nampheung entrusted to him, and he’s stubborn in giving up the last remnant (the house) of his parents’ memory, even if in the long run, it maybe would have been the wiser decision to do so.
Porsche venerates the family unit—I would almost argue that in some level, he glorifies it, in the way he has held Pat and Nampheung’s memory on a pedestal. There’s definitely some sense of betrayal in his expression, imo, when he first gets to that room and sees Nampheung alive and (not) well, yknow?
But Porsche being Porsche, ultimately, he is a good son, and will always remain loyal to his parents. In that regard, he’s not too different from Kinn.
But contrast that to Kim. Kim is also a good son—at least outwardly to Korn, and genuinely loyal to his siblings. He’s investigating Korn, yes—but he does so secretly, without implicating either of his brothers to be complicit in his Sherlocking. He still gives Korn the subtle affection his father expects from him (the fried snack he got him) and plays at being ignorant, but he doesn’t give him much else.
Kim upholds the family unit, only in so far that he remains loyal and steadfast to the people that genuinely matter to him.
Whereas Porsche venerates the entirety of the family unit itself, Kim only upholds what matters to him, and his loyalty only extends to a handful of people within that family unit.
Porsche himself thinks in the beginning that joining the mafia is a bad decision, but he does it anyway, for his and Chay’s survival. Kinn’s family is shady af to him, and he struggles very much in the beginning to get accustomed to their ways. He sees them as an arrogant bunch who hurt good people.
And yet, upon hearing about Kim moving out, he doesn’t praise him for getting away from the madness. He doesn’t say, “good on him, for pursuing his own thing!” or something like that.
On the contrary: Porsche judges Kim, based on his seemingly lack of loyalty to his family. At least the way I see it, it very much rings true of the cultural attitudes in Asia at large, in that we’re more of the collectivist mindset, rather than the individualistic one.
I've said it many times before, but filial piety plays a big role in how Porsche makes his decisions. (Let's not even get into how Porsche felt he had no choice but to lower the gun when Kinn got in the way, in order to protect his father. Porsche would never make Kinn choose between their relationship or Korn, and all the drama that that entails)
I think that’s the reason Porsche was able to judge Kim so quickly, when he heard the (very little) bit of the other man’s backstory from Pete. Of course he would see Kim as a self-centered brat; in Porsche’s mind, without even truly knowing him, Kim is someone who is the antithesis of a good son: he moved out of the main family home, he doesn’t seem involved with the business whatsoever, and he’s left all the managing of the affairs to his father and brothers.
Imo, I think that’s part of the reason why Kim (and KimChay) fascinates me so much, since the POV character of the show is Porsche, and Kim’s story show us, 1) a different angle to the story, in that shit is going on behind the scenes and on the contrary, he's quite still involved in the family business and 2) demonstrates to the audience how unreliable and very limited Porsche’s POV is.
For me personally, it’s details like this that really enhances the story, when the narrative embraces the characters’ biases, and lets that navigate the drama of it all~

sometimes i'll think about how, at the start of episode four, pete offers to help porsche guess who he might have kissed at the pier the night before, and i imagine a crackfic where porsche goes on a quest to find out who it was by kissing his colleagues one by one - starting with pete of course that man was ready to sacrifice himself for the cause when porsche had questions about casual hookups later in the episode, offering himself up without hesitation
he visits them one by one; pol is confused... but intrigued, it's like one of tankhun's series! arm already knows it wasn't him but insists they check it anyway... just to be sure, right? you never know. ken says he'll break his face if he tries anything (very suspicious, porsche makes sure to highlight his name). big doesn't know whether to be angry or confused, he wasn't even there??? no he and ken didn't sneak in halfway through because of a secret crush, this isn't one of tankhun's series! tankhun asks what they're doing and if he can join but porsche isn't about to open that can of worms.
maybe at some point kinn catches on and realizes porsche doesn't remember but is rating the others based on if they kiss better or worse than the ~mystery person~, which is giving him an ego boost up until porsche declares that one of his friends is actually a better kisser and therefore can't possibly have been involved (said friend is very confused about why khun kinn is giving him death glares for the rest of the week)
you can even throw in some chan or vegas or anyone else if you want to, just go crazy with it, i think that'd be really funny especially if porsche just casually blasts vegas after they make out for a solid minute saying "no you're good but the other guy was just less desperate you feel me, sorry bro".

So as a major LITA and Kinnporsche lover I was already on board with the headcannon of Phayu as VegasPete's kids and Prapai as KinnPorsche's kid. I mean ignoring timelines and ages of all actors involved there is a lot of similarities in their appearance and personalities.
Phayu is connected with the Mafia, he loves bikes (like Vegas), has a dark/dominant side (like Vegas), but also values his close friendships and is incredibly loyal (like Pete).
Prapai is connected with the Mafia, he loves bikes (like Porsche), is CEO/good at business (like Kinn), is a bit of a playboy, a great big brother, and very loyal and protective to those close to him.
Now to finish the trio, and since I loved the craziness that was Pitbabe, I would like to induct Babe into my headcannon family as the kid of KimPorchay. I shall ignore the cannon plot of Babe's dad cause I could still see Babe fitting in with this family and having influences. Also I feel like Babe reminds me of Kim in that he puts on a hard shell but is secretly a softy inside.
I can picture Phayu, Prapai, and Babe racing each other and arguing over bikes vs cars. I think Rain, Sky, and Charlie would also be a chaotic trio of besties.
I really hope that the fanfiction authors flourish in this universe and bring us many crossovers :)

Big's Intentions
Tumblr media
In Episode 4, Porsche finally learns that Kinn is gay (and boy, does he) - first, through an awkward interaction that's orchestrated by Big: he asks Porsche to take in a special delivery for Kinn just as he was about to arrive with a guest, and he tells Porsche to go right in instead of knocking.
Big essentially outs Kinn here, and Porsche (rightfully) calls him out for it.
Tumblr media
The thing is - I don't know if Big thought he was outing Kinn?
So, we know Big's primary motivation here is jealousy.
Big is in love with Kinn, and he hated being replaced as head bodyguard - especially by Porsche, who takes every opportunity to provoke him.
Tonight, Big is the instigator - he strolls up to Porsche just to mock him for being demoted:
Tumblr media
But Porsche fires back in an unexpected (Mean Girls-esque) way:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To Porsche, this was simply a dig at Big's status as an employee - it's the equivalent of someone bragging to their coworker about getting to have lunch with the boss.
But is that how Big took it?
Later on, after the whole awkward incident with Kinn, we see Porsche debriefing with Pete, who says he assumed Porsche knew Kinn was gay because everyone knows that.
Tumblr media
So, what if Big had that same assumption? And what if he took Porsche's brag to be a dig at Big's feelings for Kinn?
Tumblr media
Then maybe what Big actually wanted was to give Porsche a wake-up call - to make him realize that Kinn will never cross the line with him, because he has so many better options than to get involved with a bodyguard. To give him the same lesson that Big has had to learn, over time.
If that were the case, then Big would have expected Porsche to come out of Kinn's room demoralized - maybe even a little heartbroken - after seeing him get cozy with someone else. Someone who's pretty, and sweet, and just Kinn's type.
Unlike Porsche. (or Big)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But instead, Porsche comes out feeling awkward simply because he interrupted Kinn in an intimate moment. Which leads him to chastise Big, while tilting everything Big thought he knew off-balance.
Tumblr media
...
Or, that's one possibility, at least!
Whatever Big's motivation was here, it ultimately backfired. All it did was give Porsche a chance to take the moral high ground, and give Kinn a chance to see Porsche in a whole new light.

Beauty and the Beast, But Make It BL
Or, about a year after the hype Hamliet finally watches KinnPorsche properly instead of just clips.
My overall thoughts are that I really, really enjoyed it. The characters were likable and interesting, and plenty flawed. The story also had some really fascinating ideas and nice fire, water, and air symbolism, as well as a really beautiful retelling of Beauty & the Beast. The main couples all foiled one another in interesting, thought-provoking ways. VegasPete? Is one of my favorite love stories in any media ever.
Tumblr media
The side characters were also really well done, for the most part. I loved Kinn's friends, and Yok was a standout in terms of her mentorly role. And, the other bodyguards each got their own personality. Arm and Big were particular standouts to me, and I appreciated how Big's story arc (his unrequited love for Kinn) was handled: with subtlety, but thematic impact. His sacrifice showed Porsche that love sometimes involves sacrificing for the person you love.
The series also used symbolism fairly well. The lighting always changed to colored/rainbow lighting when it was a romantic scene, and stayed natural when it was not. The use of mirrors and windows, and phoenix/fire with Kinnporsche and water with Vegaspete, was intelligently woven into the story. I do think some of the symbolism was too heavy-handed at points, though.
Of course, because I'm me, I do have quite a few critiques as well, which mostly has to do with what I saw as potential that went untapped. The story never did anything "wrong" exactly, but it just never dug into how much potential it had. The foiling was strongly set up, but it could have been far more powerful than it was.
The plot was basically *vibes* which I'm okay with because I'm not super into plot in general, but unfortunately, as can happen when plot is weak, the themes suffered for it. If plot is a tour guide through a story's themes and characters, this was somewhat of a bumbling one... with an occasional stroke of brilliance that reinforced how satisfying the potential was.
Kinn + Porsche
Tumblr media
Let's start with the main couple. I really enjoyed their characters, but I wasn't as invested in them as I was in the other characters I'll be covering. They seemed more like ideas rather than human beings, even though they had more complexity than some of the other, more human characters. While that might sound contradictory, what I mean by that is that the other characters always had drive and purpose for the narrative, while Kinn and Porsche sometimes felt more like vehicles (heh, get it, because--) to get to something that never quite arrived.
Kinn and Porsche also started off the series really strong, but weakened after they got together. After they were together, the writers kept bringing up the issue of "trust" between them, but I wasn't quite sure what they were trying to say about trust. And maybe they were just trying to explore the different sides of trust rather than give any particular message, but I thought it was a bit messily handled.
Still. Still. Porsche's line in the final episode, where he pointed out to Kinn that he was there not because he was on the minor family's side, nor because he was on the major family's side, but because he was on Kinn's side, was beautiful.
Kinn also starts off as a dark foil of Vegas... which is interesting because Vegas is so intensely jealous of Kinn and wants to be like him, and is set up as the antagonist. But we'll get there. Vegas kidnaps Porsche and attempts to make it look like he was assaulted, but Kinn saves him... only to assault Porsche himself. (I did appreciate the way the narrative did frame it well, which I wasn't expecting in a boy's love story.) Kinn then compounded it by punishing Porsche for his mistake--essentially, doing to Porsche what Vegas was doing to Kinn and would later do to Pete.
The irony, of course, is that the narrative still frames Kinn as a protagonist, but without giving him a halo. We're allowed to see that he is, intrinsically, no better of a human being than Vegas. Maybe even worse, depending on how you judge.
Porsche outright telling Kinn that he had hurt him, while Vegas hadn't (even if, kinda) and Kinn actually having to work to earn his forgiveness and trust--all of this was well handled.
Tumblr media
Kinn's final realization in the wilderness that he could not keep Porsche and his act of selflessly setting him free , followed by a literal sacrifice, mimics what Vegas would have to do in later episodes with Pete, as well.
When they consensually have sex for the first time, it starts because Vegas again makes a move on Porsche... right in front of a mirror. Then, Kinn bursts in and Vegas leaves, and Kinn takes his place in the mirror with Porsche.
Tumblr media
The symbolism is clever here and poignant: Kinn, you are Vegas. I just wish he had been asked to do more with that realization, particularly after the Tawan incident (later).
Again, my main issue is that I wish the show had more an idea of what it wanted to say concerning the theme of "trust" between these two. Especially after they got together, it all seemed a bit hazy.
The theme that was best explored with them was the idea of being a human being. Porsche continually insists that he's a person who decides his future for himself, while Kinn is like "I control your life; your life is mine, I can kill you at any time because you're just a bodyguard" early on. However, towards the end of the series, when they exchange quasi-wedding vows in one of the final scenes on a ship on the same river where Kinn first offered Porsche a job and Porsche told him he'd rather drown, there's a really beautiful moment where Kinn tells Porsche that they are making a new family together, and Porsche tells him again that he's not on any family's side--just Kinn's side. And then he tells him:
Porsche: All my life... is yours Kinn: I promise you, I'll treasure it.
It's almost fairy tale esque in this scene, showing how far they've come. It also emphasizes that the point is that Kinn recognizes Porsche's humanity, and Porsche still affirms his own. Humanity is not a drawback but a benefit, because Porsche chooses Kinn, and choice is the realm of human beings.
Vegas + Pete
*screams* VEGASPETE ARE EVERYTHING
But honestly. I've talked how Vegas (who is, undoubtedly, the best written character) foils Kinn and will talk about Tawan, Kim, and Tankhun later on. Firstly, though, we have Vegas and Pete, asking the main thematic question of this series:
Tumblr media
(As a human, of course. Except that's not easy.)
Vegas was so clearly my favorite type of character (Lee Yut-Lung from Banana Fish, Akutagawa Ryunosuke from Bungo Stray Dogs, Illumi Zoldyck from Hunter x Hunter, etc.) Someone who just so, so desperately wants to be loved, especially by his father, and cannot fathom why he does not have it. So he lashes out at everyone around him, especially those he's jealous of. He might claim that he's jealous of Kinn's power, but he's really jealous that Kinn is loved not just by Porsche, but by his brothers, by his bodyguards, even by his father (for all Korn's faults--and we're gonna get there--I do think Korn loves his sons).
This is so profoundly seen when Vegas initially kidnaps Pete and forces him to call his Grandma. Vegas leans in, groping Pete to make him terrified, but as soon as Pete tells his grandma he loves her, Vegas jerks back and rips the phone out of his hand. It's another reminder to Vegas that love exists, but he can't have it.
Tumblr media
The only thing that truly shows Vegas love is his hedgehog... which of course is a symbol for Vegas himself (here's where I think the symbolism was too heavy-handed--not that he had a hedgehog nor what happened with it, but in that Pete actually bluntly tells him that he is the hedgehog. Leave it to your viewers, we're smart enough to get that.) The hedgehog, of course, is prickly and spiky but soft inside, just like Vegas.
The hedgehog is also specifically Vegas's inner child, in Jungian terms. It's always sick and dying, and he's afraid of it dying, but also afraid to actually recognize it. He doesn't name the hedgehogs because they always die. This is symbolizing how Vegas never really had a childhood, or the chance to develop normally. His father always beat it out of him and let him think that it was his fault, just like Vegas blames himself for the hedgehogs' deaths.
Tumblr media
Vegas's father is the biggest obstacle in his growth. He can't ever truly grow up and overcome the father figure until his father's gone. Again, the symbolism is pretty blatant (but well done): Vegas is literally reading the novel Childhood's End, but his father slaps it out of his hand.
The message is clear: Vegas can't ever grow up until he lets go of his father. Fittingly, he's then seen reading the book again after making a meal for Pete.
Vegas and Pete are actually quite similar, not just in their terrible dads, but in that both of them, at their core, truly don't believe they are human beings. They don't believe they deserve love, or life, or anything. They're animals. Hence, Pete actually being called a pet is actually also Vegas pointing out how he sees himself.
But what they really want is to be human, which means to be free and to live.
Consequently, both Vegas and Pete are suicidal. Vegas drops about a million hints that he wants to die before he actually attempts it, even telling Pete he's feeding him so "you'll have energy to kill me."
Vegas self-harms too, and Pete tells him not to. Yet, after they have sex, Pete hits himself when Vegas can't see, telling himself that he didn't like it, even though he initiated. The reason they are both lost after they have sex is that neither of them are free physically or emotionally.
We see Vegas trying to do the right thing and making a fancy meal for Pete, even standing up to his father for a moment, only to have his father tell him he wishes he wasn't his son. At that added cruelty, Vegas smashes the meal he made, proving that even though he thought he was free of his father because he was in love with Pete, he wasn't. Not yet.
And Pete thought he was going to be free because of sex with Vegas, but Vegas still left him chained. Hence, he attempts suicide in front of Vegas. He also then calls Vegas out on everything in a well-done way, pointing out that Vegas is projecting his feelings of inhumanity onto him:
Tumblr media
Need me? Like a pet with no feelings for emotional projection? I'm a human, Vegas... I have nothing left, not even my humanity.
Tumblr media
Pete is then pointing out to us that after Vegas's childhood is grieved (shown in how Pete helps Vegas bury and put flowers at the hedgehog's grave), Pete embodies Vegas's humanity. If the hedgehog and his childhood should be grieved, because he'll never get them back, he can still have a human future in Pete. But to do that he has to embrace his inner humanity, and he cannot chain it up and take it out when he wants it, because that's just not how human beings work.
Even through making Pete realize and admit just how miserable he was--that he has no use and should just die, thereby showing Vegas that Pete truly does understand how Vegas feels--Vegas doesn't find what he thought he'd find. It's not comforting to be empathized with when it means someone you love is suffering so.
Vegas's apology to Pete is genuine, like Kinn's earlier, and heartfelt. Once his dad is dead, you'd really think he'd be free, but he's very much not. All his self-loathing, all his worst fears, have finally come true. Freedom isn't really found through death, but through embracing life and love. The hedgehog didn't have to die for Vegas to live, because death isn't freeing really. But choosing to live, even when you're in pain, for someone you love--that can be freeing.
Pete's "there is no legacy so rich as honesty" tattoo is somewhat amusing to me, because the quote comes from Shakespeare's All's Well That Ends Well, a play that is considered a "problem play," in that no one can quite decide what genre it is. Also, "honesty" in the play's context is actually "virginity," which also seems to fit, but anyways. The genre/problem play thing is interesting because Kinnporsche itself, as a show, seems to zig-zag between whether it's a comedy, romance, or serious crime drama. I think the reference is somewhat meta, but should have been delved into more.
The play is also relevant in that All's Well That Ends Well is about families, too--particularly how sons struggle to define themselves when it comes to being compared to their fathers, and how they react when they feel like they have limited choices in life. Hrm, hrm, Vegas.
Anyways, Vegas and Pete totally deserved their beautiful ending. When Vegas wakes up post being shot and tells Pete:
You're not my pet. You're the most important person in my life.
It's a great way to tie the themes of their arcs together. Firstly, it is a fairy tale ending. Secondly, it's an affirmation of Pete's humanity, the thing they both doubted they had. Lastly, it's affirmation that Vegas chooses Pete, and in choosing, affirms his own humanity. That Macau then bursts in calling Pete his brother-in-law and welcoming him to the family is adorable and shows Vegas just how much he has.
Kim + Chay
So now that we've talked about two self-destructive emotionally constipated men, let's talk about the other one in the other major relationship: Kim.
Tumblr media
Kim's actor does a great job of showing how Kim maintains a veneer of cool aloofness when Chay confronts him, but is internally panicking. Kim is reckless, running into battle to save Chay in literally nothing but a tank top. When Chay calls him on who he is, Kim doesn't even try to defend himself. When he saves Chay again at Yok's bar, he makes sure Chay doesn't even notice.
Unlike Kinn and Vegas, who are too active and possessive, Kim is too passive and cowardly. He cuts himself off from people not because he doesn't love them--he clearly does--but because he feels like he's bad luck. Essentially, the same issue Chay has--that he feels like he brings bad luck.
But, that's not how life works. Human beings don't bring good or bad luck. It depends on choices, another theme from Vegaspete and Kinnporsche that wasn't delved into as deeply as it should have been. Still, choice is an integral part of being human, and the show does depict this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Still, it was a nice touch to literally have Kim wear a shirt with the word "human" on the front the same episode Pete insists "I'm a human, Vegas." Pete, of course, tells Vegas he has choices to make, and Vegas then tells Porsche that same thing in the final episode: that it's time to make a choice.
Anyways. The unfortunate thing is that the series didn't fully explore Kimchay in the same way they did Vegaspete. That's especially clear in the cliffhanger ending, though I think it was fairly clear that they were heading towards something positive. After all, Kim finally does something he needed to do: saying outright that he is singing for Porchay. Keep working, boy.
On a production level instead of narrative, I'm guessing the actor's ages may have played a role in them not fully exploring their story. Idk. I think the implications--the fade out with a way-too-dramatic kiss on the cheek that the fade obscured and them waking up together--were that they were sleeping together, but because of the actors' ages they clearly cannot and should not show that. But I wish the writers hadn't let that limit them--there are other ways to show growth and explore issues even if you can't directly use sex to do so. See, the sex scenes between Vegas and Pete and Kinn and Porsche were well done, and always had interesting meaning and commentary to them, which is great. I just wonder if they let the fact that they couldn't use this motif stifle their creativity when it came to exploring Kim and Chay's issues.
Tawan
Tawan's story was heartbreaking. He was a fairly well done, pathetic antagonist. When Vegas proposed to him, knowing tha the didn't love Tawan... that broke my heart. He was suicidal and his death ultimately foreshadowed what Vegas would later attempt to do.
Tumblr media
But Tawan was desperate for love--truly desperate. He would do anything to be loved by Kinn, by Vegas, by anyone. But it wasn't really love for a specific person (as shown in how he switches from Kinn to Vegas) so much as that he wanted to feel safe in that love. Because denying love means denying safety, which sets him up as a good foil for Kim (who clearly thinks it's safer for your loved ones not to act like you love them)... but it wasn't ever explored.
Tawan's desperate love also foiled Chay. Yet unlike Tawan, and unlike Kim, Chay is able to express what he wants... and to assert himself when he's been disrespected and not seen as a full human being (Kim seeing him as just Porsche's brother is what breaks him).
Tankhun
Tumblr media
Tankhun was everything. I love him. I think they could have done more with him, especially around his relationships with his brothers. Like. We only see the three brothers--Kinn, Tankhun, and Kim--in the same room ONCE in the final episode. Once! A crime, a crime, I tell you! I know next to nothing about how all three of them feel about each other and interact with one another and I WANT IT!
Ahem.
Tankhun is still, in many ways, the beating heart of the series. He wears love and his feelings on his fabulous, colorful, patterned, and often feathered sleeves. He chooses to live how he wishes, but will do things for those he loves.
He's also always right, if you pay attention--he knows Gun is bad news, and he knows Pete is in danger while Kinn and Porsche are inexplicably dumb as hell for not suspecting Pete was in danger. When Pete reappears and Tankhun literally thinks he's a zombie, he still rushes to embrace him even so, just because he loves him.
Tumblr media
Also, Tankhun is, much like Pete and Chay, fairly pure of heart. I don't mean that in a naive way, but it's clear Tankhun is somewhat childlike because of his trauma... yet, he's still the one who adopts fish and gives them names like Elizabeth and Sebastian and mourns them. He loves his siblings, and he welcomes Chay like a new brother.
The Little Mermaid reenactment with Porsche was A Lot, but also hilarious and fitting. See, he's childish, so of course he's going to like fairy tales. He knows the world isn't one, but he still enjoys ones and wants stories where the good ones don't die, and he does his best to live a fairy tale despite everything. I really think the series should have dug into this more, especially since Kinn and Porsche and especially Vegas and Pete are very clearly modeled after Beauty and the Beast. Sigh. The potential.
Not gonna lie, I think the brother relationships were somewhat failed all throughout. Macau and Vegas's bond wasn't fully explored either, and neither was Porsche and Chay's. Like, Porsche doesn't even know about Kim and Chay, and Chay had told him about being tutored by Wik, so... wouldn't he at least ask? Sigh.
Korn
So, ironically, the brotherly relationship best fleshed out is... Korn and Gun's.
Tumblr media
Theirs is highly tragic, and the relationship they have with their foster sister is also clearly a warning to Kim, Kinn, and Tankhun about what they could become if they prioritize the power of the mafia family over each other and their own rights to make their choices and live and love. It seems like that won't happen, given Kim and Chay and Porsche as the minor family head and Kinn, fortunately, but again I think this could have been more clearly explored.
Like, if love, both romantic and platonic and familial, offers a way forward, a potential answer (though no guarantee, see Tawan), which I think the show suggested, it should have been more heavy-handed in showing us. This also actually ties into the fairy tale motif, and the human being theme, and choice, and it just could have been so much more neatly braided together than it was. And also it works with the trust motif, because you can't control someone you trust.
I do really appreciate the ambiguity about Korn, and the uneasy lack of answers about what really happened between Korn, Gun, and Namphueng. On the one hand, Gun's utter cruelty to Vegas and Macau makes it seem more than plausible that he's the worst and he did assault Namphueng and kill her husband. On the other hand, seeing Korn murder Namphueng's husband would surely explain the vitriol he has towards Korn that seems unusually intense even for someone consumed with envy and jealousy.
I think it's clever that the series doesn't answer it for us. Even when Korn kills Gun in the end but chooses to tell his guards not to harm Vegas, despite the fact that Vegas just killed a bunch of his most loyal men, and promises to protect Vegas and Macau, we're left wondering. Is this proof that Korn is indeed the merciful man who would never have harmed Namphueng and her husband? Or is it the actions of a cruel man who killed his own brother and then told his kids not to worry because he'd provide for them, just like he did with Posrche and Chay?
Alas, what would have made this even more powerful would be an emphasis on what trust is supposed to mean... sigh.
Final Thoughts
Tumblr media
Overall, I really enjoyed the show. I loved the characters and the three main ships. It had great ideas that could have been better explored.
Also of note: from its lighting to staging of certain scenes, it also clearly took inspiration from Queer as Folk, which is one of my favorite stories ever, and there were some potential Crime and Punishment references in Pete talking to Vegas in a scene that mimicked Sonia and Raskolnikov.
Basically, it was designed for me to fall for it, and fall for it I did. I just wish it had been refined, because it could have also been a masterpiece in addition to being entertaining (yes, really), but alas, didn't quite get there. Still, I'd definitely recommend it.

pete as the poorest most pitiful security guard in the entire world just trying to get thru his shift at this fundraising event getting his ear talked off by porsche who's currently lecturing him abt his sex life and masturbation habits. once the shift is finally over porsche gives pete a number to call and a few bucks and zooms off to a dick appointment with kinn. after a lot of contemplation and denial pete decides to call the number one evening and well who else could be speaking on the other end except vegas ofc? what follows is pleasant conversations, a lot of hr violations, inappropriate familiarity and possessiveness over customers, more feelings than anyone involved really expected and also. some hard earned phone sex
im very Very excited to write this it is All plotted out all i need to do is write it. i've already started on the hilarious first scene but i might have to rearrange some of it
here is a little snippet for u !!!
Pete wants to die.
This is not how he wanted to spend his shift.
They're doing security for some kind of charity event — Pete couldn't be bothered to remember what kind — and regrettably, there's not much to do except stand around, so Porsche has unfortunately taken the opportunity to give — entirely unsolicited — advice and commentary on Pete's sex life. In broad daylight. In front of the wealthiest people in Thailand. Loud enough so everyone can hear, since Porsche doesn't care much about trivial things like indoor voices.
Even though, Pete does not tell Porsche about his sex life.
But, of course, he won't let himself be stopped.
So, as Pete contemplates the benefits of strangling his coworker-turned-friend-soon-to-be-enemy, he chatters idly about his many hookups in clubs and bars alike.
"–like, you really need to get better at flirting, Pete, it's sad watching you. It's not even hard to pick someone up. But, like, bestie, you have no rizz."
"Porsche. What the fuck is that."

KP Rewatch : Ep #4
okay, i know the rewatch event is over already and I'm just, barely alive (i caught a flu and some tonsillitis again, sue me, also i was being married off, well 😬), but here i am.
once again, here goes nothing!
during my initial watch, i totally missed this scene! so they didn't fall asleep together? porsche just went and crawled into someone's bed lmao, what a hussy [affectionate] 😂
Tumblr media
but also, pete looks so scandalised! that's the look of someone who thinks they accidentally gave away their first time to some random character lol
kinn so deserves that existential crisis 😂
Tumblr media
listen, i will always say that i have loved vegas since he first appeared on screen with that cocky smirk, but this was the moment that i officially adopted him as my little meow meow
Tumblr media
we love a confident self-assured man!
lmao, tankhun voiced my thoughts exactly 😂
Tumblr media Tumblr media
something tells me arm knows about the atticwife scene lmaoooooo
Tumblr media
he's so giddy! god i love arm so much!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
POL??!!!? MY BOY?!!!;!  WHAT IS GOING ON!?!!?!?!
Tumblr media
wow, auntie, excellent example of parenting right there 👀 (okay, don't come at me. i have many thoughts about this but i'll not unleash them today).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
right with his mouth near (on) his dick lmaooooo
Tumblr media
ahhhh look at his dopey smile omg so cute!!!!
Tumblr media
i keep saying this, but pete is so done with porsche's dumbassery lmao
Tumblr media
vegas literally lives for fucking with kinn's head lmao
Tumblr media Tumblr media
okay, so i know porsche is pissed about being forced to join the mafia and he is rightfully pissed at everyone involved, but damn he does like to rub shit in big's face sometimes. though big did have it coming since he started it. but i keep thinking about how throughout the series he must have realised that while he carefully did his job to keep kinn safe and loved him from the sidelines while kinn never even looked at him that way, porsche gets all of it and more.
Tumblr media
chay really came out with the big guns blazing lmao
Tumblr media
ahhh yes, "healed". the WOUND HAS FUCKING DISAPPEARED LMAOOOOOO
Tumblr media
the most awaited introduction of this episode : kim's murder board 😂
Tumblr media
turtleneck pete was truly the best pete we got besides nakey pete 😂
Tumblr media
also, that is such an uncomfortable smile lmao, i wonder why that might be 👀
this smug bastard just casually chilling before the shit he's going to unfold on kinn (lmao, what a bastard, i love him so much)
Tumblr media
time just casually dropping what an asshole he is and that tay actually did something to get "back at him". say it with me, TAY DESERVES BETTER !!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the diamond being named "king of the night", maybe hinting at porsche? i dunno if it's me thinking too much, but porsche is literally a pawn in korn's chess game and in this ep, it's both kinn and vegas going after him. vegas losing the bid on the diamond and then simultaneously his plans of assaulting porsche (more than he already did) getting thrown off, it's almost like between him and kinn, porsche is the king and the later sequence of events will cement the fact the kinn both won the diamond auction bid and also porsche. huh.
Tumblr media
look at vegas go!!!!!!
Tumblr media
turtleneck blurry pete is here!!
Tumblr media
damn okay porsche has some nice buttcheeks alright
Tumblr media
BRUHHHH HE JUST DID IT WITHOUT PREP??? OKAY KINN ASSHOLE BEHAVIOUR CERTIFIED!!!!!
Tumblr media
and then there is vegas, admiring himself in the mirror lmao
Tumblr media
and that's it for this episode!! thank you for reading! see you in the next one! i'll still be slow because my life is being upended at the moment, but i'll come back again! till then, adios!

Apparently the plot of kp doesn't make sense... I keep seeing this comment more and more lately. Any idea why people say this?
Idk bitches be haters I guess??
Like, maybe I'm bias b/c out of all the Thai BLs (and maybe even BLs in general tho I'm not 100% on that) Kinnporsche is the best one I've watched to date. From a directorial, technical, and narrative standpoint the whole show is extremely well made and strong.
There's a couple bits of misshapen writing - I think Kim's investigation plot needed to be fleshed out more, I'm assuming they left the goal of Kim investigating his dad an open ended question b/c of a potential s2 but alas that is now a dream - but overall the story has a strong throughline for all the (main) characters. Like even Big dying makes sense as sad as it makes me, because Big loved Kinn to the point of being a martyr.
Vegas and Kinn's rivalry makes sense and is one of my favorite - but also seemingly underappreciated - parts of the show. It's born out of their fathers own rivalry. Vegas clearly believes if he "beats" Kinn his father will provide him love and approval. While we, the audience, know this to be untrue (and I'd argue so does Pete) Vegas doesn't. Or maybe he does but he hopes for it anyway which is why he returns to his fathers side after Pete escapes. Pete being his one and only solace and providing him a level of understanding no one else could, now he only has what he's always lived with, seeking approval from his father.
Kinn seems almost reluctant to be involved in the rivalry but does so because he is also at his fathers mercy but b/c Korn is a altruistic ruler everyone sees him outwardly as a loving father (including Kinn and Tankhun) if controlling. But is it so bad to be controlling and a bit manipulative if it's for the greater good of The Family? I think this is the question that leads Kim to leaving and seeking out the truth behind his fathers lies.
Like, people joke (me too, all the time) about how chaotic the show is b/c some wild shit happens in the show. Like out of context Kinn and Porsche hand jobbing each other in Vegas' club bathroom is hilarious but in context it's one of the most emotional moments of the show and solidifies their commitment to each other (which is why I'm not against sex scenes in media, sometimes when the sex is meant to MEAN something it can be a great way to convey intimacy, emotion, and char development).
I've made jokes about Ken's tilted head on the table but like, in context that scene makes sense and is important. The show is violent, this is a violent world, these characters aren't GOOD people they are in the fucking MAFIA. Killing and beheading traitors is par the course. It was also to show that Gun was loyal and yeah obviously he wasn't, Korn wasn't dumb he could see that, but he allowed the deception to further his own plans.
As I said, there's a couple writing bits that don't pan out in the show but overall the show makes coherent sense. We joke that Porsche is dumb b/c he didn't realize Kinn was gay earlier but being oblivious is a character flaw, not a writing mistake.
Porsche's char progression is very trackable, you can see it in his plot but also in his costuming. The show is pretty purposeful in terms of costuming (another reason it sticks out to me against other Thai BLs) and Porsche when he walks into the main house halls at the beginning compared to Porsche walking through the halls of the main house at the end is a very purposeful shot. Porsche is no longer as naïve, as oblivious, as carefree, he dealt with low class thugs before, but now he's high class mafia.
Idk Anon I'm a bit of a bitch who doesn't like some of the big Thai BL classics but for me KP made a ton of sense. Having levity (ie comedy) doesn't make for an incoherent show.

So, I've caught myself thinking about this particular exchange between Porsche and Pete in episode 2:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and how it says so much about both Porsche and Kim, in retrospect.
Porsche's mentality is that of an older brother; essentially his life goal is taking care of Porchay, his younger brother, so when he hears about a younger brother leaving the house and his family behind, he finds that a selfish act. Never mind the fact that he's a hypocrite, because in Porchay's eyes, what he did at the beginning of the show can be very much viewed as selfish; he left his house behind and Porchay alone to pursue a high paying job. We know it's not that simple of course but in Porchay's POV, who very much told him the previous night to stop all of this and just sell the house, to not do so much for him, only for the next day to find his brother gone, how else would he see it other than egoism and stubbornness?
Now, all of that is good but, the main reason I created this post in the first place is to talk about Kim.
On the surface, what Kim did can seem a bit selfish no? He is not part of the mafia, he has a music career, - Kinn's dream which is delicious when you think about it - he is free to do whatever he wants basically, which he does by investigating his family history using main family bodyguards no less to do so. The main mafia plot has to knock on his door for him to get involved in ep 10 onwards, it's wild. But is it really selfish? I think not, or at least not like Porsche says it. Kim is allowed to live on his own due to Kinn mostly taking the heavy handling of the mafia business but he's not out. The scene with his father in ep 5 proves to me that he's expected to show up more, to be more involved into what they're doing. It's also the fact that Korn sent Big to guard him, which even Kim found strange, like he's monitored or even if not that, like he still has the family status so he's supposed to be guarded. His investigating tells me that he always found dead ends, no concrete proof into whatever he was looking for, so we could theorize that either Korn knows and is taking care of it or that Korn knows and allows it because he is aware that it will lead nowhere. (I'm not even entertaining the idea of Korn not knowing about the investigation Kim is doing, that man knows everything)
And the most important argument of them all, Kim isn't selfish for leaving the main family and living on his own because half of his life - when he's not Wik - he spends investigating his family's history, all to keep his brothers safe. He doesn't trust Korn at all and once he finds out about Porsche, he thoroughly checks up his past to ensure he's not a threat to Kinn. That man loves his brothers and he does what he can to protect them. And he can't do that in the main family compound now, can he?

How do you think (or do you think) Kinn and Vegas would resolve their rivalry? Porsche and Pete are such good friends, I can't imagine they'd tolerate their SOs sniping at each other during brunch forever
oh man, Kinn and Vegas have such a complex relationship! I absolutely do want them to resolve their fathers' bad blood and reconcile the pieces that were driven by their fathers' orders rather than any true ill will on their end. preferably they both have to feel so many emotions they never wanted to feel or ever acknowledge again after it's mostly(ish) resolved. but I don't really want their rivalry resolved so much as...shifted.
specifically, I want their rivalry to continue in all its petty glory in the form of spoiling their husbands and/or the most stupid ridiculous family drama only.
Porsche and Pete are the sort of best friends to tell each other everything. which Kinn and Vegas are initially all for when they overhear Porsche and Pete bragging to each other over how well they were dicked the other night (Kinn and Vegas are Smug Cunts at each other over brunch). then they realized 'everything' means everything, including sex fails and disasters and regular home life bullshit like that time Kinn threw up because he went down on Porsche too fast after a big meal or that time Vegas was stuck in the bathroom all night on seafood night (Kinn and Vegas Refuse To Make Eye Contact over brunch). Porsche and Pete think this is the most hilarious shit in the world and are perfectly content with Kinn and Vegas's rivalry going from sabotaging deals and pointing guns at each other to shit like who has the better cooking apron (Kinn has one covered in cocks (roosters). Vegas is not burning with envy, he has one covered in pastel pineapples anyways, fuck off Kinn.) and who had the better date night (an ongoing battle, never to be resolved, shame that).
in my perfect world, Vegas gets a cooking youtube where he can show off all his fancy cooking skills with ridiculously well shot and edited videos (Kinn isn't burning with envy as he overcooks his attempt at an omelette, he's not). his and Kinn's sniping is almost entirely just Vegas ruling at internet toxicity and Kinn ruling at being vague and weird on the internet. Pete and Porsche (neither of whom are online much because they either don't like it (Pete) or don't get the point of it (Porsche)) are fine with this too, because this family's drama is actually hilarious when no guns are involved.

such an interesting meta with kim, even if i have a bit of a hard time swallowing that he would ever pose a threat to chay. he's never been aggressive towards him, and he protected him at the warehouse even if chay didn't know until later. so i feel like on the contrary, they're the healthiest of the three
Heyya nonnie~
It took me some time with this response, apologies for that.
You're the nicest of all the anon asks I got in response to what I presume to be this meta that expressed the same sentiments, so I don't mind entertaining you. Hehe!
I agree, Kim has never been physically aggressive towards Chay, but the way I see it, it doesn't mean the potential isn't there. My own sentiments on this have not changed; the potential and the breadth of what this entails is what holds my attention for this couple. Now, up to where you choose to go with that is entirely up to you; I myself don't know up to what point the idea of physical aggression from Kim towards Chay can go (if it even goes anywhere), because we don't have a KP S2, all we can do is speculate on the crumbs we got.
And we in the Kimchay fandom speculate, don’t we? Every fic author who’s written a Kimchay reconciliation fic with smut involved has played with this potential, even if the potential is zero. XD For my own reconciliation fic though, I dialed it up to a 6 at least, ahahahaha. Besides that, my belief with this is in keeping with the overall themes of the show, yknow?
After all, the show asks their audience a vital question within its narrative: what consequences and hardships do Porsche, Pete, and Porchay endure, to be loved by these Theerapanyakul men?
In my defense it's not as if I pulled that aforementioned meta outta my ass, I do have an explanation for it. Lolol
It's not something I mentioned in my original meta because I know most people on here have issues with the novel, but there is a noticeable change to Chay's characterization in the adaptation. From my own experience and understanding, seeing the changes from book to show is able to provide more clarity on BOC's intent with their changes and overall presentation of the drama, which I think is a good thing, overall.
In the book, Chay is a lot more like Porsche, both in his personality and his way of thinking. For example, take a look at this scene from when Tawan kidnaps Chay, and how much Chay mouths off to him:
Tumblr media
In the adaptation however, Chay is knocked out during that scene, so the framing of that situation is very different; he’s portrayed to be a lot more helpless and weak, because of the fact that he was knocked out. I go into the consequences of these changes on a different meta, mostly talking about Porsche and Chay's relationship, if you're interested.
Another example I can think of right off the bat: when the reader first sees Chay and Kim meet (again, as it's implied that there is bad history between them) in the book, Kim pretty much kabedons Chay against the wall, and Chay retaliates by kicking him in the groin. Lol
Tumblr media
These are just two examples, but by bringing these scenes up, I want to highlight the change from book to show: in the show, Chay's personality is framed to be milder than Porsche, as someone who’s not a fighter, as someone who's more optimistic, and as someone whose instinct it is is more to call for help than try to fight off an enemy. Barcode's take on this character is a lot more docile (in the beginning, at least), naively bold when compared to the book character, and he doesn't have much of the spunkiness that Porsche has, yknow?
Again, on paper not that big of a change in the long run, but a noticeable one nonetheless.
In episode 5 when Chay talks of his admiration to Kim, he states that he wants to be more like Porsche, and one of Porsche's most defining characteristics is his fighting skills. It's due partly to his fighting prowess that he's able to better enforce his boundaries with Kinn. It's an added asset for him, as it is for Pete to Vegas, but it’s not necessarily the only thing they both have going for them.
And yet, why doesn't Chay know how to fight? Why doesn't he seem to have the disposition for it? Was he never provided or had an opportunity to learn? Perhaps Porsche kept him from having to learn; this matches up with how overprotective he is of Chay, one could argue.
Again, because of how Chay's character is framed in the show, he doesn't have the brazen attitude that he shares with Porsche in the book (in fact, a few times Porsche even mentions how much Chay is like him); on the contrary, he's a lot more self-reflective in the show and quite thoughtful. This manifests itself in his natural talent when it comes to writing music, especially how he was able to write the 1st version of WDYS in Kim's studio.
Because of this notable change in Chay’s character in the show, the physical power imbalance between Kim and Chay is a lot more noticeable, hence why Kim’s potential aggression towards Chay is more keenly felt in the show (case in point: their bar scenes, lol), at least the way I see it.
For reals, I still question why they altered this part of the book characterization when they chose to adapt this IP. Lol
Imo, BOC discards Chay’s penchant for impulsiveness and brazenness (similar to Porsche when fighting an enemy off) in the book, but in turn, elevates his mental fortitude when he’s wronged. In the show, it’s definitely more a showcase of his inner strength and self-respect that he in particular was able to draw his boundaries against Kim (aka blocking his number, not picking up his call, etc), without ever having to physically fight him off, as opposed to Porsche and Pete.

Chan's Home for Troubled Kids! LET'S GO!
Okay so first, Chan. Chan is an ex-military man now Forensics Professor at a university in Bangkok. He had a wife who died during childbirth, he lost them both. He ends up quite literally running into Arm on the streets. He ends up taking Arm in as his first kid. Arm was seven. Arm is seven when Chan took him in. Arm is pretty much non-verbal and speaks through sign language or a whiteboard. He doesn't like to talk, but he starts to break out of his shell and starts talking when he meets Tankhun and Pol. When Porsche and Chay join the family, Arm is 15.
Pete is the next kid Chan picks up. Pete is a troubled kid whose grandmother called Chan asking for a favor. She asked Chan to watch and care for Pete when she couldn't. Pete's grandma and Chan were old friends from his military days. Pete's mother died and his father went missing mysteriously. (Pete killed him but was never caught or found out.) Pete was eight when he was adopted and is 16 when Porsche arrives.
Big in true middle child fashion, is the third kid to be picked up by Chan. Big has a lot of anxiety as his mother was a drug addict. He was put into the system by a neighbor who called CPS on his mother. Chan found him after Pete started talking to him. Big was brought home. Big is eight when adopted and is 16 when Porsche is adopted.
Pol is the fourth child to be adopted by Chan. Pol is depressed and his depression has caused problems with him being adopted. His family was killed in two tragic accidents, a car crash and their family bakery catching fire. Pol and Big were at the same orphanage so when Big gets adopted, Pol feels sad because he is losing his friend. That is, until Chan adopts Pol as well because Arm saw that he was sad and wanted to help him. Pol is nine when adopted and 17 when Porsche shows up.
Ken is the fifth child adopted by Chan before the eight year timeskip to Porsche. He was abandoned by his parents, so he had to take care of his younger twin siblings. They were brought to an orphanage and Ken's siblings were adopted but he was rejected by the family because he was too old and too angry. With abandonment and anger issues, Ken wasn't adopted until he was nine years old. Chan found him sitting alone while everyone was playing and offered to adopt Ken who looked at him and said in the tiniest voice "you want me?" Ken is 17 when Porsche shows up.
Porsche is 15 when adopted by Chan per Yok's request. Arthee gave up Porsche and Chay to the system because he didn't care. Porsche has a record of running away from his foster families because he refuses to be separated from Chay. When Porsche is adopted, Chay is adopted by someone else but Chat acts up and is sent back and Chan scoops him up, promising Yok she can visit them whenever. Chay is ten years old when adopted by Chan.
Aaa this is awesome??? I love this??? They???
The shenanigans potential they have as siblings is so. I just feel like hi-jinks would be involved. Big being the middle child feels so accurate to me actually. I don't know what it is but yeah. Tracks.
I feel like they'd have bunk beds lol
I feel like every time he brought back a new kid Chan is just like "Okay last one for real this time" and that statement has yet to be true. Possibly will never be.
Curious what Ken's relationship with his siblings was before they got adopted :0
This is so cool I love this!! I am a sucker for sibling-like relationships and this has that and I'm just lkjadsl;as I love them

Hi, I got a very wired idea and I want to share it (pre apology for the bad English)
You know how two of Theerapanyakul brothers (Kinn and Kim) fell in love with the two Kittisawasd brothers (Porsche and Chay)?
Now imagine: Pete has an older cousin on his mom's side, they don’t speak much but the guy is in town and Pete invites him to the Besties' Night (just Pete and Porsche drinking and bitching about their partners). Porsche introduces himself and the guy is like “Kittisawasd? really?”
Long story short….
Pete’s mom, this guy’s mom, and Porsche’s dad are siblings that lost contact with each other for different reasons.
Pete’s mom is the oldest and she left to go live with Pete’s dad (big fight because her siblings didn’t like him)
This guy’s mom is the middle child, and got pregnant young, that’s why this guy is the oldest
Porsche’s dad is the youngest and lost contact with his family when he married Namphueng because she came from the mafia and the rest of the Kittisawasd didn’t want to be involved with that
That’s why there was no other family to care for Porsche and Porchay, and the only reason Pete and this guy know each other is because Pete’s grandmother (on his father’s side) tried to find her daughter-in-law’s family after her son died and was safe for her to do so. Pete didn’t took much interest (he didn’t saw them as “family”) so he wasn’t aware that his mom's maiden name was Kittisawasd.
All this to say that 3 sons of the Theerapanyakul family fell in love with 3 sons of the Kittisawasd family. When Tankhun meets this guy (Pete's mysterious cousin he didn't know about) they immediately start bickering about something (fashion maybe? the guy doesn't care about clothes and Tankhun is Not Okay With That), Tankhun gets very invested and we all know what happens once a Theerapanyakul sets his eyes on someone.
At this point it seems like a curse and some people are looking into their family trees to make sure they are safe.
I don't know yet if Macau should be the outlier or if I should come up with Even More ridiculous ideas to get him a Kittisawasd.
This would be so fun. Macau should totally get his own kittisawasd 🤣 You get a kittisawasd! And you get a kittisawasd! Everybody gets a kittisawasd!!

KinnPorsche Rewatch 2023
Reminder: as we go into heavier topics in KP (dub-con/non-con, toxic behaviors, etc.), I will not be doing deep dives. I’m planning on taking this just below surface value as these are literally thoughts I have in the moment as I’m watching. Thank you.
Episode 9 Random Thoughts
I just never trusted Tawan, even in my first watch through. I felt bad for him, but that was about it.
I really do wonder who poisoned him, though. Seems like a Ken thing maybe? Since he's a double agent and all? I dunno.
Once again, Tankhun has the best instincts of them all. Never trust the sketchy ex, boys. And also Big knowing not to trust him, either. I get why they didn't just throw him out, but he shoulda just gotten tossed :')
It's literally the minor family. It's always the minor family. Gun has a complex, remember?
My dumbass feral cat boy getting worn down by the cute boy he was gathering info on. Inspiration for the singer-songwriter.
Arm is the only one taking note of the relationship that's right in front of their damn eyes.
Yes, but Pete, you and Vegas are destined to be together. Just go and spy on them. Do it.
Is Tawan trying to lure Kinn in by showing skin with muscle tees? And piss off Porsche at the same time? I don't get the obsession with cutting his shirts lower each time you see him.
What kind of workout is Tawan doing? Wtf?
Yok knows everything, Porsche.
Porsche dancing around in his tighty whiteys is such a mood. Also the song is a banger, tbh.
"Hey Porsche, why is your leg so long today?" Drunk Pete yelling out Korean phrases. This entire scene is something else. Then they just fuck on the couch anyway.
Vegas always knows when Pete follows him. Idk why Kinn keeps sending him to watch them, other than ✨plot devices.✨
Pete getting the stirrings from Vegas putting his hand on his back and the looks he gives. Yeeees.
Oh, Porsche. Not good. Very bad. No spying allowed.
Arm knows better, P.
Why is Tawan, like, constantly in the shower or the bath? Especially when Kinn comes to visit.
Vegas why are you putting your pants legs in the water??? Bruh.
But you and your family are doing things though Vegas??
Oh my god, I hate this scene where Tawan just puts his head in Kinn's lap. Like, please, my dude. Could you be less subtle? All the while, he's fuckin around with Vegas. I just don't like how manipulative it all is. Is no bueno.
Porsche for the love of god. Why you do this? Trust issues all around, bah. I know he was doing it for the right reasons, since he didn't trust Tawan from the beginning (for good reason)... Many thoughts about this whole situation.
I love how cute and nervous Chay is here :') confessing to his crush and Kim says yeah I like you too, I'm just dumb with feelings, here's a cheek kiss, thanks for the gift. Ugh. Too cute, too cute.
I can't imagine all the thoughts rolling around in Porsche's mind. Tawan is consistently showing him what he's actually doing there but he's not showing it to anyone else (except for those that are reading between the lines like Tankhun, Arm, Pete, and Big), least of all Kinn. He's being sickly sweet to Kinn. It's all so manipulative. But that's exactly how the minor family needs it to be. Sowing the seeds of distrust and chaos is the entire point of Tawan being involved in the first place.
And once again, Tankhun has it right.
Convenient Vegas is convenient.
Tumblr media
So now I'm finally properly caught up! Yay me. I think these posts peaked at episode 6 because it really is my favorite, but I'm going to keep going because there's so much more to come and it's fun putting my stupid thoughts on the internet.
Episode 10 next 😭 we're close to the end now.

Sexy Chess
Did a brief thread on twitter yesterday. So here goes. Sexy Chess, KinnPorsche the Series, trying to be as horny on possible.
Public sex, free use, incest consent is dubious as all hell.
I did in fact go to twitter and get Worse btw.
Vegas never brought his own bodyguards for the game of human chess. Gun always had, he had always insisted on it, and Kinn could remember watching Uncle Gun's men bend over his father's bodyguards just as often as they were fucked themselves. His earliest memory of inappropriate arousal during one of the public chess matches involved Chan sucking off one the minor family's head guard.
Gun had never been on the board and neither had Korn, but Kinn felt that placing himself in the role of the King was a sign of respect for the bodyguards who played alongside him. Once his father had made the choice to step away from the business the games of chess were Kinn and Gun for a few years and then, Kinn and Vegas.
Vegas put himself on the board as well, taking a stance across from Kinn in the position of King. But he never brought his own men. Perhaps he found it humiliating to be fucked in front of them when he lost. Or maybe it was an aesthetic choice. Kinn's bodyguards were prettier.
"If I have to play on your board, I'll play with your toys as well." Vegas had sneered the first time he'd shown up, empty-handed and ready to strip down.
Big was Kinn's bishop for the match, the sling on his arm the only clothing afforded to him. Human chess was played in the nude, there wasn't time to strip down with every loss. It would have been an irritating loss of time. Porsche was playing the role of one of Kinn's knights, shifting as nervously as the horse he was replacing.
Across the board, Pete stood with a tight smile at Vegas' side, playing the role of his queen. Ken had started off the game as one of the rooks, brows twitching defiantly every time Vegas had ordered him to move. But he had been cleared off the board two moves ago and now lay limp, pliant, and fucked out with the rest of the captured pieces.
"Looks like I've captured your last bishop, Kinn." Vegas smirked at Kinn across the board as Pol put Big on his knees. "What do you think, my queen," Vegas turned to Pete with an insincere smile, "should we have our knight use lube?"
Every time Vegas sent Pete out he brought him back, forcing the nervously smiling man to stay close, a protective barrier that kept Vegas out of check. He'd also been asking him this question every time. Lube, a condom, should they bother to stretch, do you think oral sex is fine, Arm has such a pretty face it'd be a shame not to come on it, and on and on, Pete growing more and more nervous with each question. His dick had gotten harder and harder though, something that was impossible to miss without clothing in the way.
It was a pretty dick.
"One of the lubed condoms?" Pete's gaze darted to Big and Pol and back to Vegas. Never to Kinn. Vegas had sacrificed his own pieces before for looking at Kinn when they were meant to be responding to him.
He was petty like that. Vindictive and cruel. Kinn wasn't sure if he'd take as much pleasure out of winning as he did out of watching Kinn's guards fuck each other because of his loss. Vegas had never won.
"Are you ever going to play me?" Kim grumbled. He'd been stuck standing by Kinn's side the entire game. Kinn hadn't even wanted to have his brother involved but Korn had called Kim for a visit the same time Vegas had shown up for Chess. Which meant, Kim was on the field as Kinn's queen, insisted upon by Vegas.
"I'll play you when the time is right." Kinn muttered.
Pol rolled a condom the same size as Kinn's over his hard cock and carefully, so carefully, thrust into Big. Big let out a whine, a gasp, struggling minutely against Pol's hold.
"You should fuck him harder." Vegas commanded once Pol was fully seated, hips flush against Big's plush ass.
The sound of fucking, the clap of Big's cheeks, the slap of Pol's hips, the breathy gasps that escaped Big's iron control and the soft groans that dripped from Pol's reddened mouth were impossible to ignore. Still, Kinn studied the field even as Big turned his face away, as his cock grew hard and he came into Pol's loose grip.
Porsche watched the interaction with a flush on his cheeks and arousal in his eyes. He hadn't captured any pieces yet, and obviously had not been captured. Kinn wasn't sure how it would play out. This was his first time placing Porsche on the field. Kinn wasn't sure if Porsche would balk when the time came, stepping out of his space and making the wrong move. Vegas would force Porsche and Kinn both to follow through on it. Gun and Korn might have ignored the gaffe but to Vegas, Kinn losing control of his pieces was an exploitable weakness.
Kinn sent Porsche away from Pol and Big's space after Big came, after Pol had looked over his shoulder at Vegas to ask if he could come. Vegas had shaken his head, denying Pol the chance to orgasm just as he had denied all of his pieces that chance. It didn't matter once they were captured but Vegas seemed to enjoy the way Kinn's bodyguards squirmed as they were left on the field, hard and unfulfilled.
Porsche wrapped a careful arm around Pete's waist when he captured him.
Kinn wasn't cruel, he wasn't Vegas. He made sure lube and condoms were available to his pieces and he made a blanket statement at the start of the game they were to use what made them comfortable. Apparently, a lot of lube made Porsche comfortable. Perhaps he wasn't used to the dryness of an asshole, too used to fucking women dripping with want for him. Pete was sloppy with lube, his legs gone weak and useless by the time Porsche thought he was stretched enough to take his dick.
Maybe it was the attention Porsche payed to Pete that distracted Vegas, maybe it was something else. Maybe it was just Pete's tight wail when Porsche finally thrust inside, Pete clutched tight against him, Porsche's mouth against Pete's ear no doubt whispering filth.
Vegas stepped out of the square he'd been in and went white, obviously not having meant to do it.
Beside Kinn, Kim's shoulders went taut.
There were other ways to play it. Other pieces. Kinn could wait for Porsche to finish with Pete. But it would take a few moves to catch Vegas that way. He could order Chan to take Vegas, but that would still take time.
Or he could end the match now.
With a sigh, he placed a hand on Kim's back and pushed him forward. Kim slid into place, his back to Kinn, his gaze on Vegas.
"Checkmate."
