#it hurts SO badly

When I was in high school, I was always taught to not draw with my wrist to prevent the dreaded carpal tunnel. I proudly trained myself to avoid using my wrist as much when drawing, and instead put more of the strain onto my shoulder. “Draw with your shoulder not your wrist!” I always heard.

Well now I have been struggling with on and off rotator cuff pain for 5+ years now. It’s miserable to not be able to do anything with my dominant arm because I worked it too hard when I was in art school. If I’m not careful when drawing, painting, or anything that involves moving my shoulder, it flairs up and doesn’t go away until I have properly left it alone to heal. I haven’t been able to draw, sculpt, or paint in weeks and it has taken an effect on my mental health. It sucks so bad.

To my commissioners, thank you for your patience as I try to recover as quickly as I can. Although I wouldn’t expect any updates or even personal art until the new year. Here’s to 2025
