Because that was who Hailey was: she was loving, caring, and definitely wanted to be part of things that were important to the people she loved. This was precisely why the urge of protecting her was so eager to emerge in this relationship. Hailey was the only pure thing Keith ever had... so it also had to do with him, with what he wanted. "You don't see it, do you? There's where the problem lies at." he breathes out, pulling her closer, trying to find any comfort in their phisical touch. He pauses the movie, now focusing on her, and only her. "Hales, you know for a matter of fact that I love you. I can't disguise it as it should be disguised, and honestly... I'm kinda done trying to do so." with a defeated smile, he leans in, planting a kiss on her forehead. Long, loving one. "You don't deserve to know. Baby, you're too pure, too gracious to be filthed up with the shit I'm in."

Hailey's head lifted slightly with the force of Keith's inhale, and she stayed still as he spoke, grateful that he was deciding to talk to her, though not entirely sure what he meant at first. The redhead lifted her head slightly, blue hues looking over his face, her teeth darting out to bite at her lower lip for a moment when he mentioned how she came back. A small sigh left her, her hand coming up to run through her fiery locks. She knew Keith was into some less than savory things, but she didn't know the entirety of the details. "I can if you let me..." she started. The tiny hint of a chuckle left her in a short breath though it didn't hold any of her usual light-hearted humor as she moved to sit back up. "I came back because I thought you loved me..." she admitted with a slight shrug of her slim shoulders, her voice soft as she continued. "It came out of nowhere with no explanation, and, I didn't think it's what you really wanted but..." she paused again, swallowing the growing lump in her throat. "If it is, I...I'll respect that. I just... I want to understand why."

Dentist update. Still haven’t found one. I called the office that was supposedly taking new patients and they’re fucking not go figure. So that’s every office within 100km. There is another option. One of the offices offers extractions for fairly cheap. So I might just have them remove the tooth. It’s going to be $500. So I’m probably just going to do that. Unfortunately they don’t take my insurance so it’s out of pocket. That sucks but it’s my best option right now. I’m still in terrible pain. It sucks bad. So they can just remove the whole and say fuck it.
