i drew this like a month ago and i am TERRIFIED to post anything on here but ive been convinced

mmmmmm read a disciple shen yuan/shizun luo binghe fanfic about two days ago where the first chapter was the Immortal Conference arc, and SQQ was the one who had to be pushed into the abyss (he was still the villain) except Luo Binghe was refusing and was like, lowkey losing his mind about SQQ being so close to the edge. SQQ ended up having to be the one to fall in himself because of the system's punishment system. The rest of the fic is leading up to that moment. But like, MMM i've been obsessively thinking about that first chapter for DAYS ever since.

now i've been in svsss for a grand total of *checks watch* a week. but god obsessed with that. I want to write/read a fic where disciple SQQ goes a little nuts down there. Like keep all of the things that make SQQ, SQQ, but just. Throw in a little bit more trauma in there. A little bit of a mental break. Let him go a little nuts as a treat. Just a tad unhinged. I wanna see him go, just a little, "god fuck it, i've tried so hard to change this shitty story's outcome and it feels like everything i've done has been for nothing. I'm going to die in this world no matter what I do, I've been doomed from the start, so might as well die the way I want to." and he just, breaks a little! Under all the stress.

He still retains the traits that makes shen yuan, shen yuan, like his overwhelming kindness. But he's just! yk. A little less patient. Paranoid. Jumpy. Colder. A little more aloof and closed off. A little more Shen Jiu. He's no asshole child abuser, but he was a Number One Hater in his past life and he's leaning into that old habit a little more now.

(On a totally coincidental not-at-all related note, there's not enough SJ-and-SY-are-the-same-people fics out there that i've found. This is totally unrelated...)

The Endless Abyss turns the mind into an over-sharpened blade, and SQQ is both fascinated and perhaps a little excited to explore a place that doesn't have a lot of info on it in the mortal realm, but still terrified out of his mind. And he's no Luo Binghe, he doesn't have the sheer brute strength and power to just bulldoze his way through, so he has to be a lot more sneaky and cunning if he wants to survive.

The fic itself role-swapped LBH and SQQ so that SQQ was the half-demon (which lowkey fucks) and LBH the human, but I'm equally-if-not-more obsessed with the idea that LBH remains the half-heavenly demon and SQQ the human. If only because I keep thinking about SQQ befriending some demons (particularly and specifically a group of succubi) and they grow very attached to this Human Cultivator so through magic plot stuff they create some kind of seal/illusion/talisman that makes SQQ appear as a demon because a human cultivator in the endless abyss may as well be the equivalent of putting a giant neon target on your back.

And iirc Shen Jiu was taught demonic cultivation by that one guy(?? i've only been here a week so im not caught up in ALL of the lore yet) so that could totally happen here.

(On the other end of the realms, poor Shizun Luo Binghe is just. losing his fucking mind over losing his most precious and beloved disciple. About .5 seconds from burning down the peaks himself. somebody sedate him.)

The Endless Abyss sucks and SQQ is having a really terrible time and can feel himself going lowkey mad, but also holy shit look at all this WORLD-BUILDING. look at all this flora and fauna, and oh if he had the equipment for it he'd be writing all of this down. ALL OF IT. He was kinda-sorta-already planning on never leaving the Abyss as some sort of fucked up self-exile and self-preservation thing, but now he might? actually just?? never leave if he can help it, like he lowkey likes it down here.

anyways the next time anyone ever sees SQQ again he's got hair so long its almost touching the ground and he's either in rags and half-feral or he's been completely dolled up by his adoptive succubi sisters and still about three seconds from biting anyone who tries to touch him. (he's also lowkey trying to book it back down to the abyss even if he has desperately missed all of his friends and shizun)

au where grunkle stan has a prosthetic leg, he lost it in his 20s and has been using a range of (usually very bad and/or possibly stolen) prosthetics, and he never changes to better ones until the old one breaks beyond repair.

especially after taking over the mystery shack, because Stanford never lost a leg on record, so it'd be weird if Suddenly he had a decade old amputation randomly.

when the twins visit for the summer, they only find out after arriving. the Mr. Mystery persona hides his leg, after all, and sure, he walks around with the 8ball cane, but that's just for the persona, right?

wrong. Stan needs a cane, but only uses the 8ball one (it's not very good for him), and his leg is Old. it's like bordering on ten years old, and the foot is all worn out, plus the knee joint stops working randomly. so. he needs a new one.

Mabel and Dipper devise a plan. at first, their plan is to "fix" Stan's leg. regrow it or whatever. they end up almost doing some kind of witch deal, but it doesn't work out (and also they almost get eaten or smth)

stan explains to them that he's not looking to Regrow his leg. he's spent longer Without it then he ever did With it. he's spent like almost forty years with only one leg, he's used to it. they don't need to worry about him. and he ruffles their hair.

but Mabel and Dipper manage to convince him to at least get a new prosthetic and cane. ones that are actually good for him. Stan doesn't want to go to the doctor, but they find a way. probably mcgucket, he happily cobbles together a leg and cane. it might have lasers and Such in it, but he removes them when asked.

it's not perfect, but it's Leagues better than what stan had before, and the twins decorate it for him. stickers, some glitter. yknow.

very sweet I think. also this would slightly change Stan's usual outfit of his white tank top and his boxers, because he is hiding his leg from Gravity Falls, or at least trying to. the entire town probably knows already and just don't comment on it (it'd be rude if they did) he probably wears sweatpants or something.

also Ford Doesn't Know stan only has one leg. he's in for a shock. he's still mad about a lot of things, but like. cmon stan. that leg, while better than the others, isn't good. it's made of scrap metal stan. probably tries to get him an actual proper medical prosthetic. from a certified place. ford's gonna be short with him and grumpy but he's not gonna let stan screw himself over like this. also that hearing aid is just as bad. go to the doctor Stanley.

A drabble idea for thee! I always thought when Tav/the MC steps closer during the Mirror Scene with Astarion that they were going to very gently touch his face while they describe what they see to him and he'd be doing his very best not to break into pieces since he's never had someone do that for him, to touch him with so much kindness without expecting anything from him in return.

‘What?’ Astarion asks, voice soft.

‘I see you,’ you tell him. ‘Let me be your mirror. I’ll tell you everything you want to know.’

You step forward and stare into his eyes, taking in every detail of his face. Astarion may not have aged physically since turning, but he certainly lives a life worth telling. You can see who he is by every detail that has been etched on his face by years of service. His pale, full eyebrows. His round, honest eyes. You must’ve caught him off-guard. He only looks like this when he’s caught unaware.

Carefully, without moving too quickly, you slide both of your hands over the shape of his cheeks, holding him still. You can tell he wants to run away  —  His eyes dart back and forth all over the place, looking anywhere but at you  —  but he stays still at your tender touch, eyebrows pulling together in concern. You rub your thumbs against his cheekbones encouragingly, tilting his head from side to side to appraise his features. You hum appreciatively and touch the mole near his eye tenderly.

‘What?’ Astarion asks, voice soft.

Astarion doesn’t mean to do it. He drops his haughty façade in exchange for something more vulnerable, chin dropping so he can meet your eyes. You slide your thumbs against the dark circles beneath his eyes and smile. He scowls immediately, but it doesn’t frighten you. Perhaps it should.

‘I see you,’ you tell him. ‘Let me be your mirror. I’ll tell you everything you want to know.’

Your voice shakes slightly. You both pretend it doesn’t.

‘  —  What do you see when you look at me?’ Astarion asks.

You’re a little distracted by how his teeth peek out from behind his lips when he talks, but you steady yourself for his sake. You wonder if you should move your hands away. You don’t want to. You like looking at him.

‘You have strong, piercing eyes,’ you say quietly. ‘When you’re not as hungry, they shine brighter. When you are, they’re darker.’

His lips press into a firm line. ‘What else?’

The words slip out faster than you can think about them. ‘You’re pretty.’

‘Pretty?’

‘Your eyes crinkle when you laugh,’ you say, swallowing. ‘Laughing suits you. It lights up your whole face. Laughing makes you look your age.’

Astarion snorts, but it isn’t derisive. For all his love of attention, the more you study his face, the reclusive he seems to get. His eyes aren’t so penetrative now, and they’re more round the more you indulge him in his vanity.

‘What else?’ he pesters.

You slide your hands lower until you’re cradling his jaw. You push your thumb beneath his bottom lip and watch as he pouts. You’re trying so hard to focus, but he smells so handsomely and he’s so intoxicating that you struggle to keep yourself grounded.

‘You have a dangerous smile,’ you tell him. ‘Sometimes when you grin, one side of your mouth lifts higher than the other. Your teeth show, but it’s not… scary to me. You have a nice smile and… and… your jaw is very nice.’

Astarion snorts again and rolls his eyes, but he no longer seems achingly desperate for a perfect description. He grabs your wrists and leans in closer, showing you one side of his face and then the other, preening for your compliments and attention. He draws you in without even intending to. You stumble closer, and now that you’re worried, you try to move your hands out of your intense fear they might get sweaty from you being so nervous. He holds you still.

‘You’ve practiced looking disheveled,’ you whisper, throat tightening. ‘Your hair is…’ You change your mind. ‘Do a spin for me. Let me see the whole picture. Please.’

Astarion laughs  —  a loud babbling brook kind of laughter that makes you dizzy. He releases you then in order to twirl for you demurely. He looks at you from beneath his thick eyelashes and flutters them, biting shyly at his lip. It’s so very rehearsed that you can’t help but laugh as well, looking away. You touch your own cheeks and nearly cringe at how warm they are.

‘You’re very beautiful, but  —  ’

‘But!’ he interrupts.

‘But,’ you insist, ‘you’re Astarion!’

He gasps and looks positively debauched. He presses a hand over his chest and pretends to be wounded, winding down to the chair next to his little table. He waves you over and insists that you join him on the floor, and then it’s his turn to lean forward inquisitively. One small mistake and your noses would bump into one another. You wish a foul wind would blow and knock him over so that you could kiss him without embarrassing yourself.

You cross your legs and lounge on his decorative cushion, stretching out your spine and failing to dislodge a rather painful knot you can feel forming in your lower back from all the climbing and roaming. You distract yourself with a loose thread on his rug and try to smooth it back down in the crevice where it goes.

‘Now what did you mean by that, my dear?’ Astarion asks, nudging you with his foot. ‘That I’m Astarion.’

You close your eyes. ‘Oh, you know that you’re pretty,’ you say, grabbing his ankle before he can flee. ‘I’ve seen you bloody and muddy, and wet and ragged, and you’re still very pretty.’

‘Prettier than Shadowheart?’

‘So you think Shadowheart is pretty?’

Astarion whines and jostles his leg free from your grip. ‘Forgive me if I fish for attention,’ he complains. ‘It’s been so long since I’ve had this much fun.’

‘I think you’re the prettiest,’ you say with a shrug. ‘Prettier than anyone else in camp, except maybe Withers.’

You’re grateful that Astarion’s mood seems to have turned over. He’s not the easiest to always get along with and sometimes he’s so broody that you’re not sure how to navigate his moods, but you’re learning.

You both talk and laugh for a little longer about whatever comes to mind  —  You talk about Shadowheart’s make-up and Karlach’s morning workout routine, and how Wyll always stretches during daybreak and that it’s cute Lae’zel tries so hard to join him in order to entice him, and that Scratch permanently chooses to wake up Gale before anyone else is relieving because it means you get to sleep for a few hours more. You only realize how late it is when you turn your head and notice everyone has snuffed out their lanterns and candles. You bite the inside of your cheek and mourn the fact that you must go so soon.

‘I should go,’ you say ruefully.

‘You should stay,’ Astarion disagrees. ‘Come, stay in my tent for the night. You should get to use my things since I’m the one who forced you to stay awake past your bedtime. That bedroll looks awfully uncomfortable from here.’

‘Where will you sleep?’ you ask, suddenly reserved.

‘Next to you,’ he says, ‘or outside if you’d prefer. I could keep watch.’

‘  —  next to me is fine,’ you tell him.

‘Good,’ Astarion says, smiling. ‘Let me be selfish if it means I get to look at you. I’ll return the favor, you know. Let you know about your eyes and smile next long rest. It’s the least I could do.’

You’re too nervous to sleep that night and he knows it. But come the next long rest, Astarion tells you every detail about your face and you understand, with overwhelming gravity, what you have done for him.

Ai Ohto -> William ; Fighting for Jade’s revival

Will had been a loner in his school, because of bullying surrounding his heterochromia, when Jade and Ruby are transferred and move in and he properly meets Jade. She’s the only person who actually makes an effort to talk to [bother] him. They become more or less friends and start hanging out around each other often. Jade dies after an incident with David and Will blames himself and is surrounded by grief - leading to the shutting in and eventual finding of the Egg Gachapon machine in a dream.

Neiru -> Ashe ; Fighting for Mrs Winters revival

Ashe’s only objective is getting her mom back so she’s distant from the group at first like in the show. Before they all meet, Ashe had been temporarily hospitalized after the first trickster take over because of the bodily strain and the fact her mom had hurt a bit while trying to protect herself - leaving her with some scars on her back and shoulders. While recovering she was hit with the memories of the fact she was the reason her mom was dead - leading her to buying the eggs to try and bring the woman back.

Will first sees her hanging around the egg machine and quickly goes up to the and pester her with questions about everything. She tries to shrug Will off and continue doing as much as she can but Will follows her around. She’s the first one Will meets but is the last one to properly integrate into the friend group

Rika -> Dakota ; Fighting for Katori’s revival

Dakota is still a hero, though less so because superpowers aren’t really a thing in this universe and they are treated more as paranormal activity. He still became one after the death of Katori, only he didn’t fall with her and had to watch from the rooftop. He fully blames himself for it and became a hero to protect people. He’s dyed a strip of his hair a black color in honor of Katori though he has a really hard time mentioning things about her otherwise.

He does the same thing Rika does in the show when seeing Will at where the Eggs are gotten and follows him home, trying to become friends with him, and not at all realizing how weird he’s being. He’s the 2nd one Will meets but is the first to actually befriend him

Momoe -> Vyncent ; Fighting for Mynerva’s revival

Vyncent and Mynerva are friends for a time before the start of everything. She was one of the only people he could actually connect with, coming from similar backgrounds with the same sorts of problems and so, especially with the constant struggle of other people describing Vyncent as some sort of monster for not completely looking human, Mynerva’s the only person Vyncent feels understands him. One day, Mynerva mentions to Vyncent maybe running away together, to go refind his mom, and Vyncent denies it. They get in a slight argument and soon after, Mynerva’s found dead. Vyncent blames himself and believes if he’d agreed that she’d still be there.

They properly meet when Will finds him crying and Vyncent asks what Will sees when he sees him, which Will replies with “Looks like a crying person?” and Vyncent is brought into the group quickly. He’s the last one to actually join the group

- first time you met them was in a completely mundane situation. like absolutely fucking normal. You're at the store late at night and you reach for the ranch and you turn and you see illumina the sword also reaching for the ranch. absolutely terrifying for a poor mortal soul like you

- it's the equivalent of seeing jesus christ at a gas station by the way. ethereal light and everything

- you met illumina and darkheart both on different occasions. like you just Kept On Running Into Them. like at least twice every two weeks. first one to talk to you was darkheart because he was so damn baffled about why you kept on running into eachother

- NO ONE knows how you managed to bag them. not even you. you walk around hand in hand with two fucking gods and you three are like ^_^ yippee yahoo I love my partners! and people are staring in shock and mild terror

- assuming that you're mortal, they're both pretty protective of you. they learned how fragile you little mortals really can be!!!

- darkheart likes to pick you up and for the reason stated above. he likes taking you around and making sure you're okay. although illumina fucking HATES it he gets really sad he's like a pouty cat when you don't pay attention to him.

- they fight over you a lot btw. if illumina gets a hug you have to give darkheart a hug cause they WILL fight and you WILL have to stop them from destroying the entire place

- when they fight one of them will just pick you up by the back of your shirt like a cat and their scruff and then walk away with you. you just dangle from their grasp until they set you down. illumina does this most whenever him and darkheart are bantering he just picks you up and walks away from him

- when you cuddle the only way you can keep things civil is by being inbetween illumina and darkheart. the only way. they both want to hug you!!!

- they like taking you out a lot. they both like to take you out on dates and probably flaunt you to the other sfoth :3

- overall darkheart and illumina fight over you so damn often it's insane. but they love you lots :-) they try their best to keep it civil but also they're VERY willing to beat eachother up over who gets to get a kiss first
