hi he said this in june 2023 rolling stone interview podcast:
"In the lockdown I wrote about the best part of 40 songs," he told Rolling Stone. "So this album was a cross-section of all the different styles that I'd done to that point, which is what I liked about the album. Pretty Boy was a bit like the electronic thing and then there was the Ballad thing and then there was the '60s thing and hen there was like a bit of a jazz thing with Council Skies. So I pick the best things that brought me to this place so far. But there is an acoustic album, as well, which is very stripped back – which I started recording actually recently before I came away [for his current US tour with the High Flying Birds]. And then those years are very heavily guitar bass stadium rock album.
“There is an acoustic album as well, which is very, very stripped back, and which I started recording recently,” he revealed to Rolling Stone: “And then there’s, a very heavily guitar-based, stadium-rock album.”
Rolling Stone then asked the obvious question – why didn't he release that one first?
"I don't know," replied Noel in a rare public display of uncertainty. "I've been proved right anyway in this decision because the album's [Council Skies] been received amazingly well. And better than any album I've ever had so far, so I've been proved right in that respect. But why didn't I go with that? I don't know. I guess because I didn't really know if stadium rock was going to be allowed anymore because of COVID and all that. I didn't know if there was going to be a tour or any of that s*** – things have changed drastically.
"But the guitar album, I'm looking forward to recording," Noel added. "But it's time I did an acoustic album, because I've got a lot of songs that are quite harrowing – they've obviously written in the time of the breakup [Noel is going through a divorce from his wife Sarah MacDonald after 22 years together]. So I want to get that out and then do a euphoric guitar record."

My throaaaat hurts
#would have called out of work this morning but time off blackout because busy season#i can still miss work but i cant use vacation to cover it#and its a rent paycheck#and rent is. 100% of my rent paycheck. so. cant miss any pay on rent paychecks. not an option#i thought i had a fever all day because i would alternate between chills and getting super hot#like need to take off my shirt hot#but i couldnt find my thermometer#swung by the grocery store to buy a new one on the way home and it tells me im 94 degrees#sure jan#hopefully the act of having purchased a new one will make the old one turn up#i also tried to pick up caraway seed and lemon zest for caraway seed cake but the grocery store doesnt sell dried lemon peel anymore?#like at all?#and the only caraway seed option is gourmet organic and $10 for a 2oz jar#i would use a third of the jar for one batch#for reference the old brand that i bought i would use the whole jar and it cost $1.25#so uuuuuuh yeah im not paying that#especially since i looked it up and i can order mccormick caraway seed by the pound for less per oz than i was paying before lmfao#they also made it so that fennel seed is only available in the gourmet organic brand -- $8 for a 1.7oz jar#im not paying that either thats highway robbery prices#i might as well just buy the fancy italian sausage#which is why i started buying fennel seed in the first place. to add to ground pork to make it taste like italian sausage#i bet i can find a better option for that from a known company online too#i dont know what they were thinking doing away with the other brand#it was a local company and it offered lots of options at reasonable prices#now theyve got like. the most basic assortment#oregano. basil. cumin. cinnamon. thyme. rosemary. garlic powder#just as i was starting to experiment with more interesting spices too

this year so far
#tw death#once again saying things into the void on here bc i dont know where else to say it#went on a trip for a couple days for my moms birthday a couple weeks ago now#they called to tell us my dads dialysis had pretty much stopped working shortly after we were got there#insurance gave us 4 days notice to find somewhere for him to go (2 of which we were 1200 miles from home)#also was told by the place I work at i am not needed until further notice the same day#so I have no source of income until they get the necessary machine fixed and even then I am skeptical they will say to come back#since dialysis stopped working he had to be moved to hospice#which was a week ago now#so he has very little time left#my half brother and his wife came to visit him a couple days ago#now his brother is here from another state#and we took them to eat at the place they’ve always gone when they are here for as long as I can remember#on the way there we were told my grandmother was taken to the hospital in an ambulance#they don’t know what is wrong with her yet but she is 94 so her being not ok either is very plausible#we are only like 3 weeks into the year and I’ve already been soft laid off my grandmother could be dying and my dad is dying#I feel like I have been seconds away from having a complete panic attack for a week#packing up and cleaning out the assisted living (he only ended up being at 3 months) felt so wrong#it was his coffee mug and green cup of all things that got to me most#he always had them#and knowing he would never use them again#I bought his dog a new name tag today#so it has a tag when we give it to them to put in the casket with him#and i almost cried in a fucking petsmart#and now I’m here over sharing on the internet about it bc if I do not keep myself distracted I will just get more nauseous and cry more#delete later

I restarted therapy again today and had to take a mental health screening test and hoooly shit my brain is fucked lol
#like the only thing that wasn't moderate or severe was substance abuse#i honestly just couldn't stop nervous laughing because i knew shit was fucked but wow it is really bad#i scored a 94 in both social and generalized anxiety#like i really got a fucking A+ in anxiety 😭#anyway my therapist is also helping me set up an adhd assessment and she was so nice about it!!!#like not at all condescending or overly questioning why i feel as though i might had adhd#she was so nice and lovely and i felt so safe#it sucks that I'll only be able to see her for a couple months but i really think that this is going to be super beneficial#honestly just getting official diagnoses will be super helpful since im hopefully going to grad school next semester#personal

Omgomgomg I have enough for a CAR!!!!!!! There's a blue 2015 Mazda3 i SV literally One Thousand Miles Away From Me but I'll be in that area for a few days next week........................................ It's like 1.5k over budget so I shouldn't even be thinking about it but like. FUCK
#skippy shut up#if anyone wants to talk cars my specs are -#$10k or lower#100k miles or lower#2015 or newer#japanese but not hyundai or nissan#volvos and volkwagens are also considered but volvos specifically are for when im older and can afford their repairs#hatchback wagon or sedan r the other requirements#i want a truck so bad i want a small tiny manual 2001 ford ranger but their gas mileage sucks and i am a Person Who Drives#i also wish that like. old body styles were still around bc like. i luv me an old outback or cr-v or 4runner but the new ones for all of#those are Just Suvs. if you get a suv you want a MINIVAN theyre more practical and get better gas and will last longer. but no#ideally i also want a 89 suzuki samurai or a 94 geo tracker or! a 2007ish mitsubishi eclipse#Or. Obviously Because I'm Gay I Want An Old Miata. or a new civic i love the new bodies on them theyre tacky but at least they're unique#i would love a veloster but nissians are just too easy to break into. same w hyundai and kia like it's so cool that they have unique bodies#but theyre Bad. and they Suck. and like every brand sucks but like. id love to be a dickhead with an old beater and caseswap it to hell#i want a SLEEPER! i want to pull up at a red light next to a wrx and SMOKE it. the uglier or the more unexpected the car the better#my old car was like that but then we got a Record Breaking Flash Flood! there was not a single fucking issue w my last car#and we'd had it for 12 years in the family#and it broke down Once but didnt even break down bc it was just my transfer case#but it was a very unique model of ford and like. 1 i am never getting another ford unless its a 2001 ranger#2. i genuinely have never seen another type of that model#3. it got like 5mpg above what it was supposed to get which was esp crazy bc it was an awd#idk i miss my car. there was not a damn thing wrong with it. but its a 2007 200k miles and getting the engine replaced wouldnt be worth#which! sucks. so bad so hardcore i miss my car so much there will never be another one like her#anyways. those r my search perimeters if anyone sees anything good in the entire United States of America#i value gas mileage over speed but. damn it would be nice to get some Speed.

ugh just finished my final exam and i'm already sick thinking about how much my grade is going to drop.
#i have a 94 in the class right now#and i can already see i got 6 points off of the multiple choice questions#which i'm really bummed about bc it was open book and i could NOT find the definitions for two of the questions. which were basically#the same question#so it's really irritating and embarrassing#i don't remember it coming up in the lectures at all but it probably did#and that's why i couldn't find it in the readings#but there's like 60 points for the essay questions that still need to be graded#and i'm SO NERVOUS about them#i really hope i didn't tank my grade and my gpa with them#ugh i get so nervous with exams i hate them#and now i just have to wait until the grades come back

I've got some good news - I've finished tallying up the results of the favourite anime survey and can now, finally, reveal what Tumblr's favourite anime actually are. To start with, I'd like to thank everyone who responded - yes, all 1172 (wow!) of you - and to apologise for he delay in actually getting these results out.
