Big Mama must have lost some serious standing in the yokai underworld because it’s gotten apparent that she keeps being beaten by a small group of teenagers and the occasional rat man, and when it’s not them then she’s taking L’s from her own schemes working against her.

And in the ensuing power vacuum, the Hamatos accidentally become the most feared crime family known to all the big bads of the Hidden City.

After all, they’ve publicly outplayed Big Mama multiple times, a couple of them have taken out the heads of two of the most well known criminal organizations, one took out Heinous Green, two are responsible for the destruction of Witch Town, they have ties to both the infamous Baron Draxum and Captain Piel, they won the Doom Dome death race, they’re Battle Nexus Champions, they’ve displayed insane feats of power and defeated impossibly strong enemies, most of them have been to jail, and they regularly mingle with humans.

You can just imagine the notoriety they’d accumulate from word of mouth alone.

Depressing Gale headcanon.

Is it headcanon? Either way, it is depressing. My view on the moments before he was taken by the Nautiloid.

Probably needs a TW or two... (Depression, suicide.)

A year he's spent in that tower avoiding the world. Rarely going outside, the visitors dwindled down to zero aside from Tara. Brief sending spells to his mother to inform her that he is just busy with research and will visit when he can. Sitting on that balcony watching the world he misses with all his being. A world he can no longer be a part of by nothing but the fault of his own doing. He can no longer cry, the tears of the last year having little effect on his condition. He is simply resigned to his fate.

He is going to die. He will die alone and afraid. And there is nothing he can do to stop it.

He would end things on his own terms, find some comfort in his demise, yet each day he puts it off. He could bring a dagger to his chest, looking out over the docks, the warm sunlight shining on his face, and yet despite the monster that he is, and the shadow that ebbs away at his very soul, he knows he could not hurt those people.

The people who have barely noticed he's been gone. Tara purring on his lap reminds him of what there is to live for. Even poetry has now lost its meaning. The magic items have dwindled down to nothing. Each one discovered, gifted, researched until he could use them with precision. Each one a precious memory of his life before the orb, now absorbed into that same darkness. Each memory lost, with only guilt and pain left in their wake.

And so he makes the decision as the last one disappears. That this would be it. That he can't go on living anymore, not like this. He writes the letters and places them on the desk, to Tara, to his mother. The only ones who would really care anyway. He places his bag on his back and puts on the mask that he will show as he leaves town, his head held high, his voice as charismatic as it used to be. The mask he wants people to remember him by after he is gone.

And he starts to leave. To go to a remote location where he can cause no harm. Where he can no longer hurt anyone. Where he will die.

Despite Mario's incredible surroundings– a field of hundreds of thousands of glowing fire flowers– he is sitting dejectedly on a mossy stone, staring down at the hat in his hands.

This is the second time we've seen Mario take off his hat. The first time was when he is settling down at home after a long day’s work, his brother by his side.

Right now, it's his only physical connection to Luigi: the silly newsboy cap/jean overalls combo that make up the uniform of their plumbing business... a uniform that resembles what he and his brother wore when they played together as little kids. 

I imagine Mario’s feels no small amount of guilt on top of his worry. Luigi may have been the one who first stumbled into the warp pipe, but Mario was the one who dragged him outside in the middle of the night to "save Brooklyn." Mario was the one whose failed attempts to fix the city's water pressure led them into the underground warp zone. Why, out of either of them, did Luigi have to be the one in trouble?

“Thinking about your brother?" It's easy for Peach to guess what's wrong. After all, the moment they met Mario's first and main priority was finding his sibling.

"We've never been apart this long." Mario and Luigi have been apart two days, and this is the longest they've ever been separated. There has never been a moment in the past where they tried to go in different directions... not even a childhood summer camp or teen road trip where one of them left and the other stayed behind. Wherever they went, whatever they did, they wanted to be together.

And now here Mario is in this magical world, filled with strange and wonderful things, and his little brother isn't there. Worse, anxious and accident-prone Luigi is trapped in a land cloaked in darkness, in the clutches of some monster Mario knows nothing about, save for the fact that he's dangerous. If there was ever a time he should be there to protect Luigi, it's now.

"Don't worry, we're going to save him." Mario lights up when Peach tells him this.

He has no reason to doubt her. Peach knows this world, knows Bowser, and knows the odds better than he does. She clearly has a level head, and seems confident in what she's saying... he just needs to hold on to hope and keep pressing forward, thankful that Luigi has such good help coming his way.

i do love canon amy & rory but god, does some part of me wish they really had gone with the idea of the doctor picking up a child as a companion (and then later, that child’s best friend with a huge crush on her.) with the rest of the season really not changing at all, except now it’s amelia pond with an angel in her head killing her and lost alone in the woods. it’s little rory who dies and is forgotten and becomes a toy soldier. if this is going to be a fairy tale, then let it be one. children have never been safe in fairy tales.

im on vacation how can i make this about the murder time trio. mtt fresh out of a flight and the minute that they leave the airport dust stops horror and killer for the smoke break. because being around a smoker is like that. and while horror is dying and coughing from the cigarette smoke and killer is pretend coughing to make dust feel terrible theyre both simultaneously roasting the shit out of dust for being such an addict smoker. cancer speedrun GO says horror. refreshing his signature smell says killer. dust just glares at them and blows smoke in their face (horror literally takes damage he's at 0.7 HP)
