I don’t think it’s gonna work

#it gave a message that said #there’s a very common issue with the gpu drivers #basically it can just take a few minutes for stuff like the shaders to actually work #which made me hopeful #and I could log in to the character menu #but it’s just too slow #I might just see if classic will work #if my sub ended I don’t think I can actually play test tho #Alexa play in the end by linkin park #I’ll wait and see what happens with the cr tickets before I resub #GeForce or the behemoth it is #this is probably the last #laptop saga

Greedling's introduction is actually really funny because Greed does the typical evil possession rant about "your friend's gone I'm the only one left!" and Ed looks into his eyes midfight and is like "I know Ling's still in there" and it seems like the set up to some long epic struggle where Ed will have to reach out to Ling to prove he's still alive and help him overpower Greed

And then maybe two hours later Greed tracks Ed and Al down like "hey I have a message from Ling could you give it to Lan Fan for us? No clue what it says but that's probably fine. anyway don't try to foil our evil plans! or do I don't actually give a shit. later losers."

Donating to actual aid organizations like WCK, PCRF and Anera is always a better idea than random people on social media.

I don't like to think about this because it makes me sad but given that og pjo had a whole thread going about how you need to accept death for what it is it's the natural order of things and bad things happen when you try to change it (the most obvious example is nico coming to terms with bianca's death but tbh I think the same general notion applies to other things, e.g. all the times we hear about demigods trying to force quests to happen a particular way and it ends very badly)

I think hazel should've been sent back to the underworld after hoo but instead this time she goes to elysium. yes it's angsty and sad and no one wants hazel dead but the justifications given for why her lasting reanimation is okay just this one time are pretty flimsy when it's emphasized so many times in the franchise that You Can't Disrupt The Way Things Are Meant To Be (more in tags)

#like if pjo weren't the kind of narrative that insists over and over and over again that your fate is set in stone. you can't change it.#it was all decided before you were born. it was prophecized it was written by the fates. etc etc etc #(I think this kind of messaging is kind of problematic/sucky for a kids book but it does make sense when it's all based on greek mythology)#(which tends to be extremely fatalistic)#then hazel's reanimation wouldn't be so thematically incongruous #like she's allowed to be alive for now. she's a member of the prophecy 7 she's literally prophecized to be there #she's /supposed/ to be there #and I think her going back to elysium instead of asphodel would've been a pretty perfect bookend for her. she was supposed to go there all #along but she gave it up for her mom. she became alive again and was a hero in her second life so now she can go to elysium instead #like is that not a perfectly tragic bittersweet ending for a story based on greek mythology. at least she's no longer in horrible asphodel #would've been cool if yk. rick cared as much about hazel half as much as he cared about [redacted]#all the narrative significance (specifically regarding death) kinda went to leo. which is cool I love leo.#but man so many characters were shafted by the choices made for that ending #also we don't need to make this about manpain btw. it would be good angst for nico and frank yes but that's really not the point #let's think about women 👍#that said I do think it's darkly humorous that she only gets to live if pluto just ignores her #it's like. inverse orpheus and eurydice?#pluto can keep hazel out of the underworld so long as he doesn't look at her #but will he look some day?#baye.txt #pjo hoo toa #hazel levesque #nico di angelo #rr crit

#movies film cinema #zero day #ben coccio #I actually talked to the director on Facebook super nice guy and he told #me a lot about the filmmaking process and even helped me with tips on directing non-actors and new actors #I remember him telling me to always be supportive and tell your new actors they're doing a good job even if they aren't in the first take #cause you can instill confidence and still reshape and change their choices and mistakes later #Sometimes I'd message him for advice when I was running into problems on some of my early projects #he told me once ''did ya choose to collaborate with this actor cause you were lonely or you guys had passion and chemistry''#“collaborating is like a relationship” and he was so right #there's nothing worse than working with people you disdain cause there's no communication and no trust.#he told me how he wrote the first couple of drafts of Place Beyond the Pines but his take on the 3rd act wasn't clicking for the director #so he took the script and went and had another writer rewrite the 3rd act but he liked the process cause he learned a lot and still got pai #but I'd still like to see Ben Coccio's take on Place Beyond The Pines he says the 1st and 2nd act are mostly unchanged #Ryan Gosling's scenes are still mostly the same he said but he couldn't tell me too much cause of the NDA he signed #The bloopers of Zero Day are hilarious his tip he gave me about being supportive #“This is actually great but can we-” and Cal interrupts him “He says that no matter what if you're doing good or bad!” and everyone lols #I hope I can make it and ask him to collab with me on a script #He's such a nice dude compared to the harrowing film he made.#I wish there was BTS but he had only one tape to film on and this was made when digital camcorders were infants #I think he had only one 2 hour tape that's how low budget #The bloopers is just Cal or Andre secretly filming and Ben getting annoyed “Is it recording?” and Cal going “Nah..."#Cal is such a funny guy IRL I wanna see him act more cause he's so good. He was so great at playing a sadistic psychopath in this.#the final shooting is so harrowing and disturbing #I told Ben he srsly gut punched me/disturbed me and this is what made him really open up.
