as much as the absolute insanity directed towards me was bizarre, upsetting, and frustrating, i'm glad it happened bc i had lovely interactions with some very lovely ppl on this webbed site, and it showed me that while this fandom is heavily populated with meanies with zero reading comprehension, there is also a large amount of ppl who are really wonderful, and have left me beautiful comments on my fic and sent me lovely supportive messages in my inbox.

thank you all so much -- you make a big difference by being here, at least to me!!!

#personal #my dash is finally free of bullshit now that a lot of ppl blocked me or i blocked them lol #it feels refreshing #there are so many problems in this fandom such as the Situation With A Minor Who Lied Abt Their Age and produced audio smut #but i feel like they're none of my business anymore bc i don't interact with that part of the fandom any longer lol #if ppl are comfortable interacting with minors so be it but i am very much NOT #i'm here to post my fics and if i sense any sort of bullshit near me i am Blocking immediately lol #thankfully the main wave seems to have died down #but we'll see what happens when i post on wednesday lol #hopefully ppl will have gotten bored of being insane by then already #down with bullying censorship and puritanism #and down with fandom hivemind and middle school mentality #i'd rather be canceled than be a cowardly sheep

what i loved about the latest episode of dandadan is the way okarun communicates with momo. he's usually so reserved and passive about voicing his feelings, but this time he makes the active choice to tell momo that he needs her to tell him how she feels. he's not a mind reader, and if something is bothering her, he wants to do his best to clear things up. it's such a nice little step in character development, especially since momo pointed out earlier in the season that okarun makes assumptions about how people see him and runs with it instead of actually figuring out if his assumptions are correct or not.

not only that, but when okarun tells momo what he needs from her, there's a sort of reassurance hidden there, too. by insisting that he wants to make sure she's completely clear about everything between them, okarun is saying that it's safe for her to be honest and vulnerable with him. we can already see that okarun and momo have great chemistry, but this moment really elevates their friendship into something more human, more healthy, and it's cute as heck.

#dandadan #they already aren't great w/ communication (which is typical for teenagers) so this is a really mature step for them both #I love their relationship because you can already kinda see something romantic between them but it takes the back seat most of the time #their development as friends is what's most important and it feels very natural and refreshing #momokarun

I wanted to emulate the feel of metal #but turns out my knowledge of how to use rake brushes are in fact. poor #starscream isn't my fav character it's actually d-16 but I really liked screamer's character design #it's such a refreshing take but still recognizable as starscream. the black accent w his classic colors is such a great design #also funnily enough whenever I see tfone starscream fanart his hips are always cocked #I started this piece a month ago so when I saw the other fanarts I'm pretty bemused.
