if gardenview shut down why were the toons left there wouldn’t the owners take them with them or atleast give them somewhere else to stay
PERSONALLYY i don't think theyve been shut down All That Long? like probably notif they still have electricity and food they gotta pay bills and buy food right. like the gardenview building doesn't seem Abandoned abandoned. maybe Arthur and Delilah still have have ownership of the building and were clinging to We Can Fix This we can get back in business And Soon. but also the toons just already Live in that building, we haven't seen all of them but they all presumably have their own bedrooms. there are nearly 30 toons and qwelver has said There Will Be More. so it's kinda a Where Could They Even Go situation

Okay so I have been obsessed with EPIC for a while now, and I was scrolling recently and found this little snippet floating around. Looking at the person made me think of Vex'ahlia from Critical Role, which immediately made me think of a Critical Role/Epic AU.
But instead of the normal dynamic of Odysseus and Penelope my brain immediately defaulted to Percy being the one waiting at home and making this challenge to the suitors to string Vex's old bow. And like... I don't argue with my brain when it comes to creativity. Then it started to snowball. I do not need to write an AU right now, but it won't leave my head.

Because Syldor died (of mysterious circumstances) and Velora was too young#The Dawnfather is Athena#Vesper is Telemachus#in my head Percy is draped in a mourning veil and tasteful symbols of both the Archheart and Dawnfather while making the challenge#because he is mourning both his autonomy and hopefully the suitors#while making a plea to both the god of his new home and the god of his childhood to protect his daughter#yes Vesper still gets into a Little Wolf like fight#yes she would have eventually strung Fenthras like Telemachus almost strung Odysseus' bow#I need to stop or else I am going to start writing this and I do NOT have time right now

every year around this time I rewatch Julie and the Phantoms, and every year I am reminded how much heart this little tween show about grief and hope has
#more thoughts in the tags#it is at times what the kids call 'cringe' - or it would be - if it wasn't so earnest#sometimes you don't need a perfect budget or 20-somethings pretending to be teenagers#or a large following or sequel appeal#sometimes you don't need big complicated anythings to make a story that ought to be told or a show that ought to be seen#sometimes you need to cast children as child characters#and come up with a theme that everyone can feel on some level [death] [hope] [love]#and choose loud colorful costumes and big cheesy music numbers and silly gags and over-the-top bully characters for the FUN of it#and pour every ounce of heart you've got into it and if netflix cancels it after one season? you gave that one season your all#jatp#there's a difference between big-budget stories written to profit from lust or shock or violence--#--and stories that are written for younger people and dealing with something people of all ages will eventually encounter#stories that are written about characters who lean on loved ones and focus on what they can do with what they've got#characters who are determined not to waste their lives or the gifts they've been given and instead to push on with excellence#specifically in order to benefit others#and what a bonus if the young lead actress is an incredibly-talented darling who is not sexualized by any part of the show in any way#what a bonus-bonus if the other protagonists are three good-looking dead dudes from the 90's (just because the writers COULD)#who are so openly affectionate and brotherly and huggable that you genuinely watch and think 'I hate that they died'. and you're SUPPOSED t#that it perfectly portrays what a real healthy best-friendship looks like - both for girls AND boys#that it perfectly portrays what TEENAGERS can be like#(not the high school. the high school is insane. it is cartoonish. I am 98% sure current high schools aren't blue and furry like that.)#and the main ship? luke and julie? that is seven-layer bean dip romance right there#like an onion. LAYERS to unpack#they did not have to make the ghost boy who seems most unbothered by death go back to his parents' home and weep#where he thought no one could see him. weep over lost time and past mistakes he can never take back. because he was loved#and loved unconditionally even if things were hard sometimes. kids need to see that in shows#they need to see that good parents are not perfect AND good parents love you. and that YOU are not always right#and that life is too short to let the sun go down on your freaking anger. open up your mouth and talk to the people you love and try.#the nuance of the bully character? that Carrie is a hard worker and talented JUST LIKE JULIE#and using it for ALL the wrong reasons in all the wrong ways

im out here doing ap level analysis on this series of events trying to figure out how and why a thing happened in a decade old minecraft series
#apollo's tag#hi everyone i'm watching tucker's pov of the day dianite joined#and trying to figure out exactly why he got so mad at tom that he was willing to make a deal with god to get revenge against him#and i'm pretty sure i can pinpoint the exact moment that he just went 'ok thats it fuck this shit' and went all in#you see tom moved his whole house like fifty blocks off of the mountain he lived on so that it was suspended in midair#and because of that the cactus pit tucker had built under it was exposed#and his horse (who he had just spent like twenty minutes getting out of a ravine) wandered into it and died#and he thought that tom led it in on purpose when he /hadnt/#the prank was actually genuinely completely harmless and they get that figured out later but by that point tucker had already made a deal#with mianite to get a sword to get his revenge against tom with and the payment was that he'd be in his service#and dianite ended up giving tom a sword as well so that he would be even#and made his payment being that he had to be in his service as well#so thats how all of this started.#because of a horse. and a misunderstanding. and two gods with a longstanding feud who eventually used these two to further their agendas#down on the mortal plane.#/Man./

#bnha spoilers#a had no delusions abt her being alive before but saying it out right is differenttt#i just really liked himiko she was my favourite for many many reasons but mostly bc i loved how she reminded me of myself in a weird way#like in a cathartic way idk#she was also taught that her love was like a terrible unnatural evil thing#that should never be seen or expressed#and she never fully realized her capability to love until she finally let herself indulge in it#and thats the thing how she LET herself#and how she wanted to live her life exactly the way she wanted so bad that she didn't care that none of them would love her for it#because she wanted to be free ☹️#and the fact that even after all of that rejection and loathing she still found a place for herself where there was people#who LOVED her and and CARED about her and then eventually ochako who wanted to save her#and it still proves everyone else wrong about himiko#because himiko never had to change or hide those fundamental things about herself to be loved in the end#and i hate that she died#i really do#but her narration of her death scene really hit me bc she's RIGHT#she lived her life exactly the way she wanted to and never got chained down again#and she had people who knew everything she was and loved her not in spite of it#and she's a normal girl#and so am i#UGGGHHUUJHH anyways just wanted to talk i love that girl rip himiko
