Charlie’s Intentions

Awhile back I made a theory about why Charlie and Sev broke up(her secretly using him to try to find Lilith) and how the hotel could be a second attempt to reach out to her

Not trying to say she’s never done good things that help others or atleast tried to….but when you think of it, they’re often still to or for her benefit(for the hotel to work). Warning this goes DEEEEEPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!

Helping Sir Pentious even after the reveal(fav moments) Even after beign revealed to be a Vee spy, Charlie forgave him and let him have the chance to be a real guest….but that would be to her benefit(having more guests, especially those willing to go along with her activities). Many have pointed how quick she was to support Sir P, making Angel feel left out(I get both sides, on the one hand she def put a lot of attention towards Sir P and perhaps couldve been more supportive towards Angel like in the roleplay, but on the other hand, Angel at that time often made it VERY clear to their faces he didn’t believe in the plan or was interested beyond having a free room and going on the idea the pilot events still happened, AFTER THAT whole stunt at the terf war & News station, he’s pretty lucky Charlie didn’t just kick him out, like Vaggie probably would’ve wanted(can’t blame her though Angel def is not easy to her especially).

But that begs the question, did she let Angel stay and puts up with his behaviour as she genuinely didn’t want to give up on him, understanding redeeming him wouldn’t be easy or because….he was their ONLY client and didn’t want to risk losing that but now that there’s another and seemingly easier to work with client, ready to focus solely on him…was she just being innocently insensitive, not understanding how that hurt Angel or…was she honestly just more focused on making progress with anybody.

Was her putting Vaggie in charge of the trust activities out of a well meaning but misguided spur of the moment decision thinking they’d relate better to Vaggie as not jsut a sinner but also someone learning to trust them and vice versa…or was it to avoid screwing things up herself, as none of her past attempts seem to work a lot and figure Vaggie would have better luck as she’s able to control things, or if it didn’t work wouldn’t really cause any more damage to Vaggie’s already distant relationship with the gang. And only intervened when things were getting out of control and apologized to Vaggie as th least thign she’d want is her biggest help to go…

I don’t think we need to really get too deep into how she handled didnt go so well Ep 4. She never really thought much of Angel’s work situation and situation in general outside the hotel and the main motive for her going to Val was to get Angel more time for HER project(which wouldn’t have been so bad had it not ended how it did). During one of the sets she was advertising the hotel to a camera guy WHILE FILMING! And though the fire was an accident and careless OSHA, had she have just waited and focused on talking specifically about Angel to Val or had waited to talk with Angel when he returned, I think it’s safe to say a lot would have been different atleast. She did atleast seem, genuinely remorseful and wanted to make things right for unintentionally getting Angel hurt….or was it more about Angel being mad at her(not about making someone u care about angry at you via doing something to upset or hurt them and more about him not trusting her and potentially would reconsider being her client). Perhaps a mix of both?

Valentino-For all you know Amorcito, part of her screwed things up on purpose just so you wouldn’t try to get her to help beyond her stupid hotel 🏨 😈

Not 100% sure of the afternath(how fully aware she and the gang r of the situation, just know Val SUCKS and it’d be ideal to get him away). Did she talk to him about it after, did she ask the gang on what could be done, is she looking for ways beyond jsut the hotel to get him out, is she figuring that the best thing for her to do for Angel is to help him redeem and get into Heaven….or just focusing on her main goal, now seeing more motivation for Angel.

Was she really inspired by her father and his “dreams”, or figured by connecting to him in a way, he’d at least listen cause of his ego, being the King of Pride. She did still say “my people” not “our”.

Charlie was under the belief her dad was only in contact with her “when he was bored or needed something(not sure what bored could mean, maybe her not realizing he did want to check up on her). Didn’t call in over 5 months…whos to say she figure turn the tables. She only had gotten him involved when they were desperate and it was Vaggie who suggested his help.

Was Charlie just angry about the higher ups not knowing what gets someone into Heaven because of the potential implications of people who aren’t necessarily pure evil being damned to eternal blaze or even death because of this system….or also because she realized all the stuff she was trying to do to begin with could’ve been all for nothing, wouldn’t change things. Heck one could argue she was defending Angel from Adam because she had allowed him and the others to go to the club, perhaps wanted to give them a lil reward for the help so far and though it would’ve also kept them from being in or causing trouble(especially since she’s paying) while she and Vaggie were gone( another thing is perhaps her wanting to make up for ep 4 by letting angels friend take him and the rest out for a fun night, appease her own guilt)loss

Did she come to forgive Vaggie because she genuinely wanted to despite what she did and lying to her and that it’s part of her principles she promotes in the hotel like Rosie said(second chances) or because Rosie reminded her Vaggie’s been the one helping her throughout the story and coudlnt afford to stay angry with the war coming(Vaggie also brought weaponry too). Heck it was VAGGIE who explained things and made it clear to the gang this wasn’t their fight and had no obligation to risk themselves while Charlie ran off with Al, not even explaining what they’re doing.

I’m not trying to say Charlie’s some bad person who’s manipulating everyone. It’s clear she does have legitimate care for the gang and has had moments showing that, but you can’t deny there’s a lot that could be interpreted of having….ulterior motives. People often run by a bit of self motivation, we all need a little of that, it’s only a problem when u don’t consider how it could affect others, only focusing on your own goals and desires.

She’s not only not really thought a lot of the gang and their stuff beyond the hotel, but also def unaware how sinners are and hasn’t seem to done really solid research on humans or the concepts of redemption and rehabilitation. I don’t think she’s even asked them WHAT THEY DID TO COME DOWN TO HELL! She def didn’t seem all too interested in Missy mentioning how she knew Al back when he was alive. She also didn’t give her the same kinda introducing she did with Sir P. Granted she was busy with her dad but you’d think she’d have been atleast more interested.

Could one of the reasons that her methods and activities are kinda childish just simply because she’s very sheltered and naive… or that’s she’s simply scratching the surface to make the sinners seem good enough for Heaven so news will spread and Lilith…for all we know the day she helped Vaggie could…be more than meets the eye. Was she already out with the intent of trying to help sinners(her moms people) from the extermination or was there something else…(I like to imagine she was trying to help sinners💖)

Is her heart completely in the right place and just goes about things the wrong way…or could even her good intentions have an under layer of selfishness she doesn’t even realize that compromises the hotel’s goal of helping and healing souls. If this could be the case, could this reflection help Charlie grow and learn how to help sinners, being able to properly connect with them….or could this realization drive a genuine wedge between her and everyone

Tim who gives a sigh of relief he hadn't realized he had been holding in when Ponyboy is free to go. Who ruffles Pony's hair affectionately, joking even "Next Soc you kill come to me, Dally is shit at hiding things. Found his blades all around town."

but now the site genuinely barely functions man. its slow and laggy and reloads constantly and eats my battery worse than SKY COTL. yea i thought a lot ab kai’s motives in this chapter. he clearly likes/was attracted to her since the beginning, but when she rejected his kiss, he realized there’s not rly much to be built there (or in his mind she doesn’t “put out” easy 🙄),, so she lost favor w him and he pretended to look out for her just to be spiteful after that. i guess i liken it to guys that are only nice to girls if they’re attracted to them and/or provide them w something like sex or attention. i think in ch8 he was genuinely looking out for her (albeit not very compassionately), but after she rejected his kiss, he was like meh idc to be careful ab this anymore. but also, i think he himself didnt realize that she is pretty capable and actually has a decent resume/shot at the dreams he gave up on, so the more he learned ab it, the more insecure he became ab his own goals and also her rejection of him, and then bam he felt compelled to embarrass her (grade A asshole). but also, he got her hopes up w a decent sounding job, just to crush em, which he knew would add to the pain

and yea i think her red flag radar was goin off the whole time w kai and her friends but mannn i think she just was rly desperate given everything going on 😔 and yea i mean satoru was always gonna keep an eye on her for sure regardless, but she was angry w him, he was hurt by her, just not a good environment for mutual support and care to occur lmfao. ur so right tho that wld be such a terrifying situation to get yourself into

ok so im going to do it all at once but like the amount of times i panicked with gill and shit over things like the moment the arm was mentioned i KNEW it was jon and how gillion risked so much to save him

(imagine a world where gillion didnt make it and slowly froze to death and was comforted by the ideas of jay and chip making it yet felt ashamed and disappointed as he couldn't save jon or pretzel and on the other side it could be either jay or chip wanting to stay longer and trying to get them back or them both just sobbing at the door because gills fucking dead and- i should stop hurting me emotionally huh)

back to what actually happened im so happy they all ended up fine and shit and id help gill with a villain arc if they did both die (both being jon and pretzel)

more about gillion its just something with how his "insult" wasnt really an insult but rather something he believed that he knew would hurt chip. something how grizzly also used the word sin for dark secret and then gillion talks how he got banished and he probably was very nervous about it going south yet they thought his punching of the navy was kickass.

the fact that gillion hugged jay thinking she was his sister is so sweet yet i could tell from the beginning that edyn wasnt real. i just got the sense for pain man

okay comfort for me now (its poly pirates i love them ok) but since gill believed jay enjoyed the clown outfit (plus she mentiondd that she gave up on her dreams) he ends up trying to make one and hes a lil nervous but he asks chip for help and jay just finds them in the room with gill practicing sowing as chip helps him make a clown outfit and jay just is mesmerized by how hard gillion is trying and how chip is just so calm with him and they seem as though this is one of the most important tasks of their lives (for chip its more of making gill happy by helping him learn to sow) and after a bit jay goes back up and what do you know 1 or 2 hours later jay is given a wrapped box by gill who seems very excited and ahe opens it and finds the clown outfit chip helped make and she glances up to see chip give gill a thumbs up and wink and she smiles and tears up at how much effort they spent into making this

i wouldn’t consider fred a very academically inclined person. it’s not that he’s bad at it, he just think there’s better use of his time. muggle studies is really the only version of history he’d get, and he probably wouldn’t pay much attention to it. so while he probably wouldn’t be that fascinated by history, i do think he’d hyperfixate on things a lot. so he’d think it was really cute when you’d ramble about something you found interesting, and he’d listen to you with a smile on his face even if he wasn’t personally interested in whatever it is you were talking about. he’d also really appreciate that you listen to him ramble on about whatever he’s interested in, so he’d always want to return the favor. i actually do think he’d find mythology interesting. and he’d use any excuse to go to muggle london with you and let you drag him around to the museums and galleries. he’d also sit with you while you studied, despite being bored out of his mind. but he knows how important to you it is, and he wants you to he happy. and plus, it wouldn’t hurt him to get a little studying in too.

i don’t think he’s a reader either, but i do think he’d actually really enjoy the classics and epics. something tells me he’s a sappy romantic, and i do think he also would love the adventures. and he really likes you, so he would really love laying with you while you read to him. honestly, i don’t think he’d really mind what you did together, as long as you were with him.

despite him not really paying attention to academic things, i do think he really pays attention to things that matter to him. he’d notice the little things about you, and all the things like and the things you don’t like. it’s really sweet, he’d show it in little things. when he started developing products with george for the shop, he’d keep you in mind.

Y'all. I wrote this first chapter of a fanfic a while ago but it didnt do well on ao3. Im gonna drop it here because the story is still stuck in my head and i need to know if anyone is interested in reading it at all.

Chapter 1: Bringing on the heartache

You sat in your car looking at the building in front of you. Must’ve been one of the few buildings that wasn’t damaged in ’86, because it looked exactly the same. You’d been here before when your grandma had gotten sick, but that was a long time ago.

Today was your first day at Hawkins memorial nursing home. The word “memorial” was new on the building. They must’ve been very short staffed because you were hired on credentials and a phone call alone: ‘when can you start’? You had replied that you could start this week, if they’d have you. Truth was, you didn’t want to sit at home right now, because being alone would only make you think about everything that happened.

Your family was one of those who high-tailed out of Hawkins in ’86 after the string of weird accidents, murders and a shattering earthquake. The adults had talked about satanic worshipping and ritual sacrificing, but the truth was the Devil had come to Hawkins without anyone asking. Among the youth of Hawkins there had been talk about “what really happened”. A lot of those kids had come of worse and after the earthquake, which had left Hawkins full of death and despair, many parents had picked up their families and left for good.

You never thought you would ever go back here, there were so many memories, good and bad. You always thought going back would be too painful. But now you are hurting anyway and going back to Hawkins feels more safe than staying in California, so here you are. Breathing in through your nose you rummage in your bag for an elastic. With practiced hands you move all yiur hair together in a bun and tie it together. You exhale as you open the car door. “Here we go”.

Your new colleagues are very nice to you and welcome you to the unit. You’re paired with Brenda for two mornings, so she can show you the ropes. You and Brenda have 5 people to get ready, she shows you the list. The whole floor is occupied by patients with some form of dementia, in different stages. Together with your new team you spend the morning bathing, dressing and feeding the patients. During coffee break you chat with your colleagues about the weather, sports, the mornings activities and then Brenda asks you where you’re from. Ofcourse this was inevitable, they would find out eventually.

‘I’m actually from here’, you tell them. ‘I was born and raised in Hawkins but we left after.. you know..in ‘86’.

They look at you knowingly, but there’s something else, resentment?

‘So you might know some of our patients then’ Brenda says, and she smiles.

‘I suppose I may recognize some of the names’ you agree. The topic is quickly changes back to sports. It can’t have been easy for the people who stayed in Hawkins after everything. Not everyone had the opportunity to pack up and leave.

In the afternoon Brenda shows you were the patient files are. 'Will you be OK to spend some time getting familiar with the files, I have a meeting this afternoon? She asks. With a shrug you tell her you’ll be fine. ‘

And tomorrow we’ll pick 5 other patients, so then you already know 10’.

'Yeah that’s great, thank you Brenda’, you smile at her. She leaves and your eyes move back to the files.

On the sides there are names, some familiar ones: Kline, L; Driscoll, M; Callahan, B. Some you don’t know. And then it’s there: Munson, W. Your heart skips a beat, could it be? There weren’t many Munsons anyway, so it must be. Wayne Munson, uncle Wayne.

‘Eddie.. ‘ Your voice a whisper. Your fingers move over the name on the file as your heart squeezes painfully.

You can still clearly see him before you. The first time you saw Eddie was at English. It was your first day of your senior year at Hawkins High. Eddie had strolled into the classroom and sat down in the back row. He had had to repeat his senior year and he looked bored as hell. With curiosity you had peered at this new boy. He was tall and slim and he looked so cool with his long curly big hair, band shirt and rings. When he looked at you, you had felt a vibrant blush rising to your cheeks. He had chuckled and mouthed ‘Hi’ at you.

Back then you had found life so hard, but thinking back you laugh at yourself. You didn’t even know what pain was. You had never experienced real pain at that age, you were just an angsty teenager trying to rebel against your parents. Life had actually been quite easy on you before then. But you did know loneliness and it made you crave for attention. Eddie had given you attention.

But Eddie had died, that much you knew. Dustin had told you Eddie was dead. So when your mom said you were leaving, you went with them. Too heartbroken and filled with guilt to put up a fight. You had tried to forget and go on with your life, and eventually you did.

But now you’re back.

You sigh deeply. Better get back to work. You lift a few files of the shelf and put them down on the table, Wayne’s file on the bottom. Better get some actual work done instead of reminiscing about those days. They were long gone and there’s no use ripping that wound back open. You open the top file and start reading. When you reach Mr Munson you try to be professional and read the file like any other patients’, shoving your feelings about the past in a neat little drawer in the back of your mind.

You manage to finish your shift without memories about you-know-who and drive the car home to your new apartment. You really don’t want to think about anything so you turn up the music really loud until your ears hurt. Corey Taylors scream and the drums and guitar block out all thought. The people you pass on the street all look up as you drive by, the music probably very audible outside of the car too. Hawkins is a small town and they don’t recognize your car, so you must be new. It’s easier for now if they think you are new.

You open your door and walk into your empty apartment. There’s a small kitchenette with a bar and some stools, a sitting room with a big couch and a tv and to the left a bed- and bathroom. Both rooms still have stacks of boxes and you really can’t be bothered to unpack. You heat two leftover pizza slices from yesterday in your oven and promise yourself to really go to the supermarket tomorrow after work. With the pizza and a bottle of coke you install yourself on the couch.

Heading back to Hawkins had seemed like a good idea after your breakup with Eric. You really didn’t know where else to go. You couldn’t stay in California, there was nothing for you there anymore. Your mom had died 2 years ago and you hadn’t really spoken to your father in over 5 years. Heartbroken, alone and desperate for a safe place you had thought of Hawkins. It was the only other place you had ever called home. So here you were, lonelier than you had ever felt in your life, in the very place you had fled from when you were 18.

It’s time to go to bed. You take a quick shower and slam a sleeping pill down. There’s no way you’re gonna spend the next few hours staring at the ceiling. Curling yourself up in your bed

you turn on some music to drown out your thoughts.

You’re walking through a forest of some kind. It’s a warm summer evening, the sun is going down turning everything a shade of orange. In front of you the threes are thinning out, you can see a lake. Lovers lake? A Chevy van is parked next to the water and from behind it walks Eddie. You walk up to him and he holds you in his arms. Eddie smells of cigarettes and cinnamon and some earthy smell you can’t quite place.

‘Hey baby girl’, he mutters in your hair, ‘I missed you’.

His hands are warm on your skin as he slips them under your shirt on your back. You tilt your head back and look up in his brown eyes.

‘I missed you too, Eddie’.

You touch his hair to move it behind his ear and rest your hand on his jaw. His lips are slightly parted as he looks at you intently. There's so many "quirks" in LO's art that are bad but WHY is it a thing where when a character is just standing there their arms and legs are just glued to the side of their bodies like🧍‍♂️🧍‍♀️🧍? that's not how even soliders at attention stand, there's still bones and muscles to account for but they end up with that end product? I just do not get how her and her team have probably 50+ years of art education and practice between them and yet they fail on such basic concepts every time.

I for one think that the differences between how characters slapping each other is depicted as either good or bad depending on who’s doing the slapping isn't hypocritical of RS: Hecate slaps Hades because she thinks he’s being predatory towards Persephone, this is a well-intentioned slap. Minthe’s slap on the other hand, is not justifiable because she was in the wrong in the context of that conflict: you don’t get to just stand your boyfriend up and hit him when he’s hurt by it.

6. it's just funny WT itself has a posting rule that your comic "cant show topics like incest or grooming" as if thats not the majority of the romance genre itself. yall ever read eggnoid? cmon now.
