ep 51-52 spoilers but i gotta get the thoughts out man (also some for ep 2 of the black rose pirates oneshot)

ok so im going to do it all at once but like the amount of times i panicked with gill and shit over things like the moment the arm was mentioned i KNEW it was jon and how gillion risked so much to save him

(imagine a world where gillion didnt make it and slowly froze to death and was comforted by the ideas of jay and chip making it yet felt ashamed and disappointed as he couldn't save jon or pretzel and on the other side it could be either jay or chip wanting to stay longer and trying to get them back or them both just sobbing at the door because gills fucking dead and- i should stop hurting me emotionally huh)

back to what actually happened im so happy they all ended up fine and shit and id help gill with a villain arc if they did both die (both being jon and pretzel)

more about gillion its just something with how his "insult" wasnt really an insult but rather something he believed that he knew would hurt chip. something how grizzly also used the word sin for dark secret and then gillion talks how he got banished and he probably was very nervous about it going south yet they thought his punching of the navy was kickass.

the fact that gillion hugged jay thinking she was his sister is so sweet yet i could tell from the beginning that edyn wasnt real. i just got the sense for pain man

take gill giving chip a ring and him getting flustered about it whatever way ya want, im just thinking how fucked hed be if jay and chip did indeed fight each other (also you cant tell me that he wasnt taught it by his sister and his test was pretzel who knew how dangerous it could have been yet he could tell she wanted to bond it and so gill has a ring on him somewhere and they pretend that the magic is still in effect and it makes them even closer then before)

chip was a fucking bastard with the whole secret pressuring thing, and grizzly knew. and he used it to fuck up their friendship harder. making the people chip cares for the most (which btw thats so fucking cute writing bout that next) attack him and having someone jay cares about attack someone she also cares about maybe even more while giving gill such a tame one is grizz's plan. worst part is gillion would be used to them teasing each other so he may brush the growing hatred off as just something human friends do. GOD GRIZZLY WHY ARE YOU SO GOOD AT THIS

theres something sweet about bizly telling grizz the people chip cared for the most was jay and gillion because it sounds like he didn't mention arlin, implying chip cares for gillion and jay more then arlin and thats beautiful.

my heart hurts seeing the idea of chip having such bad trust issues and wondering if these guys actually care for him yet he pulls up the wall with insults manned and ready just so that he doesn't need to accept that people he cares about exist and doesn't need to worry about them going away and i made myself pain again AHHHHHHHH

i remember seeing a post about jay being an easy crier and how it doesnt make her any less a girlboss and i fully heartedly agree because aprt of her girlbossness she can acknowledge her barriers and when shit crosses the line and she doesnt hide it up and maybe that inspires chip and gill to be more open about their boundaries and emotions and ill stop before i make more pain but yeah def proven by the flesh room

i dont know if anyone else made the comparison but yall know when finn arlin and dray were going down the hallway and each got flashbacks and shit? the mirages were probs a reference and it was the same order too (charlie, bizly, then condi) and i freaked when i realized!

of course jon is what got gillion pumped up and bsck to his gill self because theyre gay af guys

that ring thing between gill and chip was so fucking gay omfg i hope they keep them happy pride month

the fact that gill just had to be in the middle of chip and jay fighting and idk why i do this to me but maybe he felt bad cause of the shit he said cause while jay and chip said a ton of things and they did feel bad a bit what if gillion felt like he had fucking sinned with this insult because of how bad chip seemed to feel and he just cant help but feel like he helped and all that and god how let me be a fan fic writer

okay comfort for me now (its poly pirates i love them ok) but since gill believed jay enjoyed the clown outfit (plus she mentiondd that she gave up on her dreams) he ends up trying to make one and hes a lil nervous but he asks chip for help and jay just finds them in the room with gill practicing sowing as chip helps him make a clown outfit and jay just is mesmerized by how hard gillion is trying and how chip is just so calm with him and they seem as though this is one of the most important tasks of their lives (for chip its more of making gill happy by helping him learn to sow) and after a bit jay goes back up and what do you know 1 or 2 hours later jay is given a wrapped box by gill who seems very excited and ahe opens it and finds the clown outfit chip helped make and she glances up to see chip give gill a thumbs up and wink and she smiles and tears up at how much effort they spent into making this

more poly pirates comfort coming next post but its really just gonna be writing fanfic ideas that i WILL make after i write a couple moee chapters of my scu fic

oohhhhh man i love this.

jay and chip would definitely steal each others belts. it’s like a little war to see who can wear the most belts.

gillion wouldn’t steal but would always ask to wear some of jay’s jewelry :) he likes the shininess of it

i think on days when jay is feeling sad (thinking about ava or her family) she’d wear chip’s big pirate-coat-thingy :D it’s a bit short on her but it’s perfect to bundle up in

chip steals little accessories he thinks they won’t notice but they definitely do. he steals a few brackets from jay and the like. cloth thingys gillion always has wrapped around his waist.

also this doesn’t really fit but they share blankets all the time :)

I love poly pirates but as a group that are never going to date, talk about it, or engage in the more romantic aspects of love. Like they will stare at each other while the sun is setting and they’re all leaning on the railing with a light breeze framing their faces with swaying hair, and feel the full adoration fill their chests and be just so content with that. It’s perfect, they don’t need to change a thing

POLY PIRATES!!

So brief intro for any one who is un aware what poly pirates is.

Poly pirates is the ship name for the ship of Chip x Jay Ferin x Gillion Tidestrider from jrwi riptide.

Why does this work????

Poly pirates as a poly ship is like the TOP TIER example of three traumatized people who just deserve to live together and have cats.

Chip and Gillion go together like two peas in a pod, largely supporting eachother and helping eachother, while still having problems like normal people do.

Chip and Jay coexist super well, Chip teaching her how to free herself and Jay teaching Chip how to forgive himself.

Jay and Gillion are parallels, Jay running from the chosen path, Gill being forced from it. Both had childhoods taken from them and Interact kindly. (Kindly as you can expect anyway)

Chip loves them both because he hasn't been ABLE to live properly before, but we see him find solace in two people who decide to stay for and with him.

Jay loves the others because they're two people who don't expect her to do everything right. Two people who do follow her unconditionally.

Gillion loves them because like Jay, he doesn't have to be the champion or perfect or amazing. He can be himself and make mistakes.

As you can see I am completely normal about them (lies)

Sometimes Gillion forgets that he breathes from his lungs, not gills, and has episodes where he physically forgets to breathe

But that’s okay bc his girlfriend and his boyfriend are here to soothe and help him get back on track

Which leads to my next point, Poly Pirates :3

Chip helps Jay preen her wings bc she can’t stand the feeling of them when they aren’t clean

Gillion HAS to wash Jays hair after she’s been working for awhile bc if he doesn’t he will not forget it

Gillion calls both chip and jay pookie and Snookums (obviously chip but jay as well)

Gillion might’ve exploded if he saw chip go through the nightmares any longer

If the nightmares went on any longer, Gillion would’ve started to exhaust himself to be there for chip when he woke up in cold sweats .

They all do each others hair, they all grow it out purely bc they wanted to give the other two smt to do

Jay and Chip read if you give a fish a family still sometimes

Jay is chubby :3 (just like me fr)

Gillion has no idea what eggnog is, but chip would totally trick him into drinking some (just. Yk. Without mentioning the egg part.)

the crew had just come back from another run-in with a giant sea beast. everyone had seemed to be fine, but jay happened to be harmed more than the others and absolutely exhausted. immediately, she went to rest as chip and gillion stayed up, per her request. chip and gillion had gone to the kitchen with the rest of the crew to relax and quench their hunger. eventually, the crew was satisfied and left to go do their respective duties on the albatross while chip and gillion stayed at the table, glasses of orange juice in their hands.

the boys were both thinking about the same thing, jay ferin. they don’t often have moments where she’s not around and they’re not occupied. often times, they would have time to each other while jay was sleeping or busy with another project of hers, but it was still daylight and jay wasn’t busy, so this was absolutely unusual for them.

not to mention, chip and gillion were starting to develop a certain feeling for jay. they almost couldn’t pinpoint it, but they knew that they only had felt that feeling for each other before. they know that they both wanted to be more than friends with her, but they had no clue how that even worked. they had discussed it briefly before, but never discussed it with her.

“i miss jay.” gillion spoke up first with slight fake, dramatic sadness in his voice. he glanced at chip and he decided to be significantly more dramatic.

“i miss jaaaaayyyyy!” chip cried like a toddler. neither of them were actually upset because she wasn’t there, they were capable of being without her, but both of them were dramatic men and took every opportunity to be so.

“chip, i miss jay more than usual. my heart almost… pained when she’s not here.” gillion sighs. he wasn’t ever good with feelings and it took chip confessing for him to realize his feelings for him. now, he’s experiencing these feelings again for another person and doesn’t know what to do with them.

“you too?” chip said with a slight chuckle, “i’ll never tell her, but i genuinely miss her when she’s not around.” chip was also fairly bad at feelings, but he was different than gillion. it wasn’t that he didn’t know his feelings for her, it’s that jay was intimidating to him. he would never in a million years admit it to her, but he so desperately wanted to.

gillion chugged his juice and set the glass down. “i’ve only ever felt this way for you, chip. i don’t know what to do with these feelings. i don’t want to tell her and she doesn’t feel the same.”

“i feel ya on that,” chip took another sip of his juice. “seeing her fight just… i don’t know. there’s something about her and her gorgeous red hair and her blue eyes and her-“ chip stops himself and gillion stares at him. his face turns red and he shrinks down to almost hide from gillion’s gaze.

“i see… so we feel the same way about jay.”

“yeah… yeah, we do.”

“what do we do about this now?” gillion asks. he knew the answer, he knew they had to tell her.

“i think—“ chip starts, hesitating. “i think we have to tell her.”

gillion groans and puts his head in his hands. “i knowww.”

“should we just go and get it over with?”

“we should.”

chip nods and stands as gillion does the same. he turns to look at gillion and plants a kiss on his cheek before walking out the door.

when they get to the deck, they see jay ferin leaning against the railing on the side of the deck. the setting sun illuminated every feature of her’s beautifully. it accentuated her gorgeous tangerine-colored hair. the light reflected off of the water highlighted her aquamarine eyes. the wind blew her hair to the side in a way that made her face perfectly visible. she glanced over at the boys and gave a warm smile. everything about her was warm and comforting in this moment. usually, she intimidated chip and sometimes gillion. not because she’s mean or cold, but because she’s skilled and powerful. however, in this moment, she was just a girl on a ship. she was a beautiful girl on a ship. chip and gillion clearly saw that. they weren’t used to seeing her as warm as she was right now, but they loved to see her like this. she was the sun to gillion’s moon and chip’s stars.

“hey gill, chip!” she waved, beckoning them to join her.

a light rose tint covered chip and gillion’s face as they slowly walked over to her. gillion leaned on the railing to the left of her and chip on the right. they looked at each other and then at her, trying to gauge who would talk first.

“so jay—“ they said at the same time.

“chip, you can go.”

“no no, you go, babe. i insist.”

“ladies first.”

“IM NOT A LADY?!”

jay laughs and stops them, “guys, one of you go first!”

gillion gestures to chip, but chip violently shakes his head. gillion decides to speak up first. “jay, we have something to talk to you about.”

jay turns to gillion with a confused look on her face. gillion just looks out at the water. “chip and i have been discussing some… feelings we have. we decided it was a good idea to inform you.”

jay begins to get worried. she doesn’t know what this could possibly be about. chip looks down as gillion looks out and he decides to be speak.

“god, i don’t know how to say this. basically, we… we— uh…”

“jay, we have feelings for you and not friend feelings.” gillion spits out.

jay’s eyes widen and she looks between chip and gillion. she’s never been approached by people like this. usually, she’s approached by women and now she’s being approached by two men. she had no clue how to feel but she knew, in her heart, that she reciprocated the feelings. she had realized that she developed slight feelings for gillion. she doesn’t know when or how. they just appeared. then she noticed herself looking at chip more, admiring his charm. she started laughing at his jokes more, even if she didn’t think they were funny. she laughed because she liked him, not his jokes.

“your silence is scaring me so bad.” says chip as jay snaps back to reality. she doesn’t know who to look at, so she just looks out.

“i think… that i have feelings for you guys too.”

chip’s heart almost jumps out of his chest before calming down. he laughs as he takes a deep breath. gillion smiles and looks at chip then at jay.

“so what now?” jay asks the question that they’re all wondering.

“do you want to be our girlfriend?” chip asks.

“obviously, yeah. of course. but how does that work?”

“i think like a normal relationship except we’re all dating each other instead of just one person.” gillion says. “i’ve seen some undersea societies that do that and they seem pretty happy with it.”

“yeah, yeah that sounds fine to me.” jay smiles before holding gillion’s arm and planting a quick kiss on chip’s cheek.

as the moon began to rise, the captains went down to their sleeping quarters. chip and jay ended up pushing their beds together (minecraft reference) and gillion moved his barrel closer. before actually sleeping, gillion cuddled up between chip and jay. his head laid nicely on chip’s arm and they were all close enough where chip could mess with jay’s hair. jay held onto gillion’s arm and kept swatting chip’s hand when he tried to do something stupid like poke her face. eventually, chip and jay both kissed gillion goodnight as he went to his barrel and the two cuddled up together before falling asleep snd having dreams about nothing but each other.

“wait so…” ollie looked at chip with his arm around jay while gillion is training. “you’re dating miss jay AND gillion?”

“you’re absolutely right, ollie.” chip smiled and pulled jay closer.

“but your whole thing was that you don’t get bitches and now you have two!!” ollie exclaims, genuinely confused.

“WHAT? AND HEY, LANGUAGE.” chip is just baffled at ollie’s statement and jay is practically on the floor laughing.

“WHAT! ITS THE TRUTH!”
