I've never played ALBW so I have zero context lol, but maybe some sort of mirror inspired art of Ravio gasping in pain, clutching at his chest in the same spot that Legend, on his LU quest and somewhere and somewhen far away, has just been injured 👀

I might've gotten just a teeeeny bit carried away with this one, oops-!

Did someone say soul-bonded Ravioli? I think someone said soul bounded-Ravioli 👀 The people familiar with my sideblog might already be aware of this but I love soulmate AUs, so much so that I actually created a soulmate universe of my own with a type of bond I don't see super often! It's not my original idea by any means but I did flesh it out into an entire magic system and have many many ideas for various ships of mine that I hope I can write at some point, and so given that, I may or may not have completely blanked out after seeing this suggestion and suddenly oops, how did these get here! :)

Thank you anon for gifting me with the chance to indulge in one of my absolute favorite concepts, and also yes, I do have ideas about Ravioli in my soulmate au, maybe I'll be able to write it at some point 🤔

(P.S. if there are any digital artists reading: Does anyone have any advice on how to get accustomed to holding the stylus for drawing tablets? The reason for my hand pain I've mentioned before is because I've been having trouble with my grip being too tight and it's causing the tips of my fingers to hurt after long drawing sessions, and so I've had to stick mainly to traditional art so as not to further injure my fingers. I really want to do more digital art though and I can't do that until I'm able to train myself to hold my stylus better)

Tommy basically said "the DSMP was good because it was, and still is, loved" and that basically sums up my feelings on the matter too.

#sure you can talk about the controversies about former members #and how the types of people involved in the writing shaped the narrative in ways that are increasingly troubling to look at #but it was also a project that was and still is loved by many of the (to our knowledge) better people involved #and it inspired so many artists and writers and musicians #people made friends through it #it helped people get through the worst parts of lockdown #my opinion of the dsmp for a while now has been pretty bitter. even when i wanted to remember it fondly it was tainted #and i dont think the worst aspects of the story or the ccs should be ignored #but its also so nice to have the opinion of 'yeah. it was good'#despite everything else there was something worthwhile in the dsmp #dsmp #tommyinnit #okay thats enough dsmp posting in 2024 lmao

#not me posting this just to have an excuse to talk about him more aaahahhhah #i've created edek approx 4 years ago and since then he went through little to no design changes #he is jus flawless. perfect #his personality however.. oof #i mean !!! he's not a bad guy #as i mentioned before he's very friendly and open to new people and opportunities #its just. he was based on my (now) ex best friend #me and that friend were close during primary school and despite me moving cities we managed to keep this friendship going #but you know. it wasnt the same. it became long distance #and i think i manifested my longing by creating an oc that was based on his aesthetics and personality #it took me some time to realise that i've been viewing this friend through lens of this oc. that of course lead to idealisation #because he wasn't physically there with me i created an imaginary version of him in my head #it was also because at this point we were getting older and slowly growing apart #and i think i wanted to grasp a little part of him that would still understand me #edek's relationship with ryba was also heavily influenced by this relationship #and. well. the things that my ex friend and edek have in common are short temper (despite acting chill) and trouble showing affection #he also tends to say things faster than he can even think them through #oh and he enjoys long walks through the woods and mountain hiking and bicycling and bugs and mushrooms and. yeah #and the other traits!!!!#he is suuuuuuper protective of his loved ones especially his younger sister irenka #his interest include everything thats fantasy and with folklore themes #hes also a stoner lol #aaand a funfact - he and zbyszek (of dycha za zbycha!!!!) used to be friends in childhood but they aren't friends as of now #why you might ask? from edek's pov zbyszek and his family just randomly disappeared #and edek was the only one that wasn't in on the fact that they have moved to the usa #edek wondered why his best friend at that time didn't tell him such important news #and often thought that there mustve been something wrong with him or zbyszek didn't actually like him that much #this incident heeeavily influenced his perception of relationships in the future #OH AND ALSOO hes an artist he graduated art hs with a degree in graphic design and is in college for the same thing #original character

#999 spoilers #art summary #art summery 2023 #my art #shoutout to all my monster high drawings that are still in the oven #I haven't posted them anywhere but! my friends made them pins and I've sold them on cons throughout the year :3 #I only started drawing them as a request from a boothmate actually and they're such fun designs to draw!!!#I went to a lot of local conventions to participate in the artist's alley and made so many friends that way it was wonderful #I think the next thing I'll reblog will be the game I worked on!#found out the nda doesn't cover me simply saying 'hey I worked on this thing coming out in a few months!'#so I made artist and cosplayer friends selling my art on the beach and I got my first proper job #....then I proceeded to give me a shoulder inflammation because my setup was terrible and it had to catch up to me eventually #but! already managed to get a new tablet and desk for myself!! it's even a screen tablet so there'll be a learning curve but I'm excited #I'm hoping this display will make things easier I always had trouble sketching on digital #and I am more carefully taking breaks now also because turns out relying on hiperfocus is bad for you? never knew #I was going through some stuff in the middle of the year there though I had so many vent drawings of akane from may to october qwq #not featured here are the tons of utena and umineko wips I have accumulated those were my favorite new media I got to experience for sure #in fact I'm watching the adolescence movie rn!! what in tarnation is this last act lol whatever! go Anthy go!!! floor it queen #also not featured the tons of oc stuff I made :D I'm glad I feel like I can start properly working on them soon ^^#but yeah that's that I felt like writing a whole diary entry in these tags and you read it and that's what tumblrs all about ♡♥︎

ok if there are any artists out there who do comms can u like help me understand why there are no refunds for upfront payments even if you have not started the work at all ????

#like i am. very much struggling to understand why if someone has paid u and then #before u have even started the work #if they cancel #u cannot return the money to them ???????#i do not understand and i do not think i will ever understand. not that its happened to me but im very curious why tf thats a common rule #what is the purpose of keeping money for something u have not even done and is perfectly cancel-able #like its one thing when u have already started and are mid project ofc. then i def understand that u have spent time and effort and u shoul #be compensated for that. but if ur rules are 'no refunds whatsoever after payment' like im struggling to understand why if someone pays you #and a day later. like before u have even started the comm. why cant they cancel and have their money back if they decide to ??#perhaps if u do slots and they took up a slot so now u have to go thru the trouble of reopening that one slot and getting another customer #i would understand like a fee for cancellation and then returning the money after keeping a fraction #but #just no refunds whatsoever after payment ??? for a comm that hasnt even been started ??????#idk maybe im just not understanding something from the artists perspective or something here and if so someone help me understand #but i literally cannot wrap my head around it and until someone can offer me a valid reason why this rule is set in place i rly honestly #think its a bit insensitive to other peoples money and possible situations that may arise that might make them cancel a comm due to like #an emergency

I'm in that weird middle ground where I'm good enough at drawing that it wows people who aren't artists and don't know any artists but not good enough that I could even really consider it a talent

#i would be so good at drawing if *unknown eye-brain thing that causes migraines* hadn't nerfed me #by making it impossible to draw for more than 15 minutes at a time without getting debilitating migraines #turns out you cannot really improve at something if your body only allows you to do it for MAYBE 15 minute increments weekly #i'm good enough that i can get like. the essence of an animal or plant or object on paper to communicate it well #and i can even draw human anatomy fairly well. like bodily proportions and positions and hands do not trouble me #i can't draw faces at all though like it all falls apart when i try to draw a human face. cannot do it #i'm not faceblind but there is a blank spot in my mind where faces should exist for the purpose of recreating them #like when i try to somehow recreate a human face artistically it feels like my brain is groping around in a dark room #i think it's something similar to prosopagnosia tho cause when i try to conjure an image in my mind of a face #i usually struggle a lot to even recall what my loved ones' faces look like #but i can recognize faces just fine. i can always recognize people perfectly
