I might lack the motivation to see it through, but I really like your dazatsu works, so I was wondering how you motivate yourself to create fanfiction? How do you get into the headspace of the characters?

Motivation is a fickle mistress, it's hard to say what EXACTLY motivates me. I guess the best answer is 'I write the fanfic I wish there was'. The true 'write what you want to read', I am usually really motivated to write something I wish to read so badly - a hole in the market, or a certain concept I wish I could do my way that would cater to all the things I like.

Since I also primarily write shipping fanfics, engaging with canon/fanart/other fanfics on the pair also motivates me greatly. Reminds me of why I like the characters and want to write about them in the first place

I quite like getting into the headspace of the characters, at least those I like a lot, haha. For me, it's always the question of "would this character to this?" - when I think of them doing or saying something, I think back on what I know of the character, if there were similar situations to this one in the canon and try to think what would be the most logical thing for that character to do. Like puzzle pieces - canon gives you puzzle pieces, and you can either arrange them how you want, or see what new pieces can fit to existing ones.

I think just good thing to keep in mind when you writing a character do something is the question of 'why are they doing this'. The why's come from their personality, their past or the circumstances of the story (the events or even the rules of the world)

Also, something that motivates me and I'm very lucky to have - good community! Comments are a wonderful motivation. And the power of friends?? Absolutely amazing. Half my motivation to finish things is solely to talk to my writing friends about it 😂

so on the subject of the "Crowley is secretly Revaan/Laverne/Levin/please Twst give us his name" theory, I think my feelings are best summed up as "I don't really buy it, but it's funny". like, in all seriousness, I'm not opposed to it; I have enjoyed the writing in Twst so far and I'm willing to trust that whatever happens will, you know, make sense and not be terrible. but I'm just not really convinced by the current evidence! maybe that'll change once we learn more, we'll see!

Princess Daisy's capabilities as a ruler being disregarded because she's loud, hotheaded and emotional, leading her to be perceived by many as immature and impulsive.

Luigi's capabilities as a hero being disregarded because he's awkward, nervous and emotional, leading him to be perceived by many as weak and pathetic.

Both of them recognizing the value inherent in each other's feelings while simultaneously seeing the strength and potential in one another that they are unable to see in themselves. Do you feel me?

2025 Post Secondary Pathways with Further Education and Training (FET) and Apprenticeships

It’s a new year of learning and opportunity, and the perfect time for Leaving Certificate students to get familiar with all of the post-secondary pathways available to prepare them for their next steps after school. There’s a wealth of Further Education & Training (FET) and Apprenticeship opportunities available across the country for students to explore in the coming weeks and months.

SOLAS, the further education and training authority has noted record growth and demand for FET in recent years with the learner base growing by over 17% in 2023 and data showing further growth in 2024.  One in ten adults in Ireland were engaged in FET and apprenticeships in 2023. 

Within this, increasing numbers of students are choosing the FET route, with almost 30,000 Leaving Certificate students starting on QQI Level 5 and 6 courses, (also known as Post Leaving Certificate (PLC)) in 2024. There has also been with a record number +9,000 new apprentice registrations in 2024.

One of the main attractions FET offers for students is the wide range of courses that prepare students for entry to the world of work as well as offering great progression routes into higher education and apprenticeships.

Available in every county through Ireland’s network of 16 Education and Training Boards (ETBs), FET is uniquely placed to offer school leavers an enticing option to continue their learning journey in their local communities. There is endless choice in career paths with 1500+ PLC courses for school leavers, delivered across the country in Beauty Therapy; Science; Personal Training & Nutrition; Fashion Design; Journalism, Podcasting & Radio, and more.

With a course duration of 1-2 years, PLC courses offer students a great option for students who are unsure about their next steps after school so that they can trial a subject of interest before committing to applying to a four-year degree programme. 

The apprenticeship route is also an increasingly attractive route for students to take after completing the Leaving Certificate.

Not only do students get to earn and learn, and apply learned skills in the workplace as apprentices, but they also gain important on-the-job professional experience, and a qualification that often leads to direct entry into a job.

In 2024, over 9,000 new apprentices registered across 77+ Generation Apprenticeship programmes, reflecting the growing appetite for apprenticeships, in popular career programmes such as Construction, Engineering, Finance, Biopharma, ICT, Hospitality, Hairdressing and more. 

New and exciting apprenticeship options are becoming available every year with programme qualifications starting at QQI Level 6, all the way up to PhD level (QQI Level 10), expanding into new and emerging industries including Cybersecurity, Civil Engineering, Farming, Digital Marketing, and more.

For those students seeking alternative options outside of the points race, Tertiary Degree programmes are fast becoming a key destination for Leaving Certificate students, offering clear and accessible pathways between FET and Higher Education.

Coordinated by the National Tertiary Office, together with Further Education and Higher Education partners, there are now 40+ programmes currently available across the country in a diverse range of sectors including Business, Nursing, Immersive Media, Tourism and Hospitality, Social Work and more.  Students start their journey in a FET college, spending 1-2 years there and then automatically transfer (subject to passing exams) to a higher education institute to complete a degree programme. There are endless opportunities for students to explore outside of the points race through FET and Apprenticeships that can take them into exciting careers.

the goverment is definitely figuring out this alien situation asap right?? cause whats happening currently is not feasible in the long run is it not??

im sure they are trying to maybe figure it out...probably, but part of me feels like it is not being treated with the seriousness it should be by them, which ig is in character LOL

pretty much relying on one guy (who doesnt even wanna be doing this) is actually scary

and the mc still has to like 'encourage' him to do it, tho its much easier in the 'ray ending' for sure. that man just wants to live a regular life with mc (unfortunately for him that means continuing to be binary star and dealing with aliens)

and if i was a citizen and knew this id be panicking

like yea u have these other heroes helping and stuff which im sure looks comforting from an outside point of view! but like the actuality is that its ray keeping things afloat

AND ON THE TOPIC OF THE MC, i was definitely in my head like....wouldnt rays superiors (managers??) get like curious about them? like no way theyre not being nosy about it after a certain amount of time passes. it really feels like something that could be leveraged against him,,, (if there is fic about this pls send it to me lol)

honestly i feel like mc and rays relationship would have moments of high stress. like there will be good times but also the bad times will also be there and its sometimes gonna be because of outside factors they cant control
