Please If You are not Antisemitic Subscribe to Torah Apologetics
I'm feeling a very alienated from people around me because of my refusal to participate in antisemitism, and I'm not even Jewish, so I can't IMAGINE how so many of you are feeling out there. I almost feel silly for feeling alienated about it. It's causing some real reflections when it comes to how I view myself politically. It's like here I am thinking, "No, we're against ALL oppression, right guys? .... right, guys?" 🦗🦗🦗 And it sucks knowing that a. the alienation I'm describing pales in comparison to what Jewish people might be feeling and b. that it probably isn't even that surprising to you all. Antisemitism is so perennial, cyclical, it insists on coming back again and again, rooting itself in places where people otherwise wouldn't expect it. It's Samsaric.
I almost feel like I'm being gaslight- "I'm not antisemitic, I'm just saying that Jews are harvesting the blood and organs of children!"
Like, bro, what else would that be? If blood libel isn't antisemitism, what counts as antisemitism?
This post is probably a bit jumbled, but I hope you're all doing well. ❤️

יום העצמאות
On this day, 76 years ago, the Jewish people emerged from exile. The tragedy of the Holocaust was still only three years ago.
On this day, 76 years ago, the Jewish people finally regained their right to self determination and self governance.
On this day, 76 years ago, the Jewish people reclaimed thousands of years of history, and established their state.
On this day, 76 years ago, the Jewish people emerged from the most costly and horrific genocide in human history.
On this day, 76 years ago, the Jewish people were faced with several invading Arab armies, wanting to take our right to self determination and our land away from us once again, we would be victorious.
After nearly two thousand years of exile, it is important to remember the millions of fallen Jews who died for their people during these tough two millennia. It is also important to remember those who were killed due to people wanting to take our land away from us again, and those who were killed because of terrorist acts of violence.
We must remain proud of our history, how we got our land back, and how we fought with blood, sweat and tears to get it back from Arab, Ottoman and British colonists. And we must remain sure, that something as detrimental and tragic as the Holocaust, or two thousand years of exile never happens again, Never again!
"A people once liberated will not easily return to the ghetto" - Napoleon Bonaparte.

Since I can remember, Israel's Independence Day has always been a bittersweet occasion. We celebrate with joy and pride, yet our hearts ache with the memories of the sacrifices made.
This year, more than any other, has been the hardest I have ever known.
Living in Israel means understanding that our existence is not taken for granted. It means maturing quickly, facing challenges head-on, and appreciating every moment of peace and freedom.
The resilience of the Israeli spirit is forged in the crucible of adversity. Each year, as we wave our flags and sing our songs, we also remember those who are not with us, the price we have paid, and the tears we have shed.
Today, we celebrate our independence. We honor the legacy of those who fought for our right to exist and those who continue to defend it.
We recognize that our freedom comes at the heaviest cost, but it also comes with a profound sense of unity and determination.
This year, our hearts may be too heavy to rejoice, but our spirit is unbreakable.
Happy Independence Day, Israel. Here's to many more years of resilience, growth, and unyielding hope.

There were so many positive Israeli news articles for public consumption last week, but you had to look beyond the negative front page headlines.  Which is why you read this newsletter, of course. Israelis savored the atmosphere that accompanied Yom Ha'Atzmaut - Independence Day, when the nation truly understands what it is fighting for.  Last week's positive news included a "feast" of medical breakthroughs, sweet news of diplomatic support from two European countries, healthy economic and investment progress to digest, scientific developments to combat world hunger, a succulent result in the Eurovision song contest, a rich supply of medals in sport, and a prolific survivor who demonstrated that the Jewish people will never be defeated. The photo is of one of the tasty dishes enjoyed at our synagogue's breakfast  to celebrate Israel's 76th birthday.

This day is both a tragedy and a triumph for the Jewish people. We celebrate the founding of the modern state of Israel, which declared independence on May 14 of 1948. And we mourn the ending of Seinfeld, which aired its final episode on May 14 of 1998. These two events occurred exactly 50 years apart.
