hey guys have any of you watched utena

been circling this AU in my head for awhile. I don't think I could give you a direct one to one casting list of utena to traffic smp but the themes and motifs are more important to me honestly. so.

essentially it's a play on how jimmy tends to be the "object of desire" of so many of his servermates (e.g. joel, scott, fwhip, sausage, martyn, so on) and in utena anthy is the "rose bride" and the students compete in duels to "win" her.

I imagine that in this timeline joel would be an ex-student council member who used to be a participant trying to win jimmy like everyone else and the start of the utena plotline is him realising he wants to break the system. The black uniform can even be like. Him being purposefully edgy and symbolic about going rogue. And his motive for "freeing" jimmy would be much more rooted in homophobia instead of feminism because it's joel.

there's alot more thoughts here but I'll leave it at that for now I am so so sleepy

seonghwa stares. not in the creepy way or i'm gonna break into your house and kidnap you cuz i'm in love with you way, he just looks, i guess. he admires every crease and detail of your face. he smiles when he sees you smile, and he frowns when he sees you frown.

he loves you way your eyes crinkle when you smile, the way your cheeks become full and rosy from smiling so much. he loves seeing the cute rolls of your belly when you slouch or when you sit comfortably, he loves it all. seonghwa is a man who loves all, but love isn't even close to the immense amount of emotions he feels for you.

he chuckles when he sees you let out a soft sneeze, scrunching your nose and rubbing it before turning back to your work, nose turning slightly red. seonghwa smiles and his eyes show nothing but love, no care for anything but the beautiful person in front of him; you.

suddenly you turn your head and seonghwa's eyes widen. he scrambles to collect himself and focus back to his work, as if he hadn't been staring for the past hour. his cheeks heat up when he looked up to see you giggling at him, oh how he loved you.

even as you laughed at him, his heart felt full, because it was you, his beloved. his beloved who waves at him shyly everyday, his beloved who'd sit beside him voluntarily, his beloved who smiles every time they see him, his beloved who's so... unique. so special and one of a kind, and seonghwa promises himself he'd make you his one day. one day, but not today.

part 2—hospital

upon hearing those words leave your mouth, mingi's eyes water as he captures your lips in another kiss. this time a longer and deeper one. many years of emotion bubbling in one go; guilt, regret, love, sadness, hate, pain, everything.

but of course, you'd get through it. but this time, you'd have mingi with you through it all. that's how you know, and that's how your sure.
