part 2—hospital

"...love you too." mingi didn't waste a second to pull you back into a kiss, arms caging you tightly as if you'd leave. as if you'd leave him again. mingi pulled away to take in a deep breath, "thank you, thank you so much," he pecks your lips, "i-i promise i'll do better, i'll be better for you so- please..." he trails off, eyes drooping downwards.

even through so much pain, so much sadness, so much suffering, you could never bring yourself to hate mingi. he was your everything since long ago, you wouldn't throw him away over some petty fights over the years.

well, they weren't petty but still. mingi was too important for you to just abandon. you know he'd do better, be better. you whispered, stroking his hair. "i know you will," pressing your forehead against his, you close your eyes as he followed, "you always do."

upon hearing those words leave your mouth, mingi's eyes water as he captures your lips in another kiss. this time a longer and deeper one. many years of emotion bubbling in one go; guilt, regret, love, sadness, hate, pain, everything.

but of course, you'd get through it. but this time, you'd have mingi with you through it all. that's how you know, and that's how your sure.
