okay but can we talk abt the minecraft movie’s complete erasure of the personality of steve???? like that is not even steve minecraft that is just fucking jack black with a blue shirt on.

have yall have seen the cinematic trailers for mc updates? steve literally has a completely different personality. steve is just a silly lil guy. hes just a curious dude who loves building and exploring! hes not jack black, or a wackjob who went crazy from being isolated for too long. he loves and parktakes happily in the world hes in.

i know we only saw one real scene, but i can already tell that jack black is not going to be playing steve minecraft, he is just going to be playing jack black. its so intensely disappointing when they had the opportunity to employ a new actor to bring to light like. imo steve minecraft should have been cast as just an average looking guy. just some random dude. BC THATS LITERALLY WHAT HE IS.

I have some of the acrylic stands and the cushion that use this particular art style, and they're so cute.

The cushion is actually super hard to find--it's one of my favorite pieces of merch ... I spent ages debating on whether or not to get it, but finally did. Haven't seen it pop up on the merch sites in a long while, so I feel very lucky to own it.

The adventure involving swords, blood and gold may be over, but the one with your new-found friends has only just begun. Home, once dull and boring is now alight with laughter and joy as you find love in the little things. You love your friends and your friends love you.

Fairly accurate I’d say! After EW I think Ishi settles down for a little bit with Kizuna, for a (somewhat forced by Ishi) vacation from being in the worlds spotlight (they cultivate an Island Sanctuary together with minimal Mammets uwu) but I think they’re both too restless and prone to wanderlust to fully retire from adventuring lmfao. After all, Kizuna is still drawn to helping and saving people, and evil/trouble isn’t going to take a vacation either.

Though they’d both probably love the chance to go back to being no-name nobodies, doing small scale low-stakes quests… something less stressful than the fate of the shard hanging in the balance maybe…

since i don't have enough drawings to make an end of the year summary, here are some of my drawings and wips that i couldn't upload this year.

2023 has left me worn out physically and mentally, and if you noticed my art and commentary being dryer as a result of that, i'm truly sorry. so many things have been happening relentlessly, both globally and personally, without much break that it's been bleeding into all aspects of my life. i've been slowly losing my enjoyment over art and my own ocs that i've forgotten what they meant to me. i want to be passionate again about art but i've learned that forcing it doesn't help either. and yet, still, there are people supporting and waiting for me. thank you.

i normally don't make these kinds of post because this happens way too often for my liking (across. multiple websites 😭) and this is embarrassing for me to share, but i think i can let out some of my weariness at the end of the year and start over with a clearer head.

in january i'll be starting another internship at a hotel for 6 months, so i'll probably be inactive for that duration. maybe i'll reexamine my relationship with art or maybe i'll take a break from drawing indefinitely.

in any case, lets meet again in 2024.

One thing about canto VI is like. I see so many people predicting it'll be about Fighting Evil Wife or Breaking Codependent Toxic Relationship and I just kinda think that would suck? If the major theme isn't grief AND love and the way both are seen as like Kinda Weird/inappropriate in the setting of the city. Then I'll be very sad.

Basically, Modern-magic Ishdon AU but it's specifically a Miraculous Ladybug AU

(Any superhero/secret identity AU works just as well tbh I just think it'd be funny if it was MLB specifically)

(Also ignore Hawkmoth they don't matter here like Gabe didn't matter in canon all that matters here is the yuri)

My thoughts are kinda jumbled for an overarching plot rn but my main thought is the following:

Initially their dynamic as heroes is 'strictly business who wants this done asap (Ishmael) + eagerly sailor mooning her way through everything (Don)' but then one fight Don takes a particularly nasty hit which causes Ishmael to rush over to check she's ok (she's perfectly fine the suit is very good at its job) Later on after the fight Ishy just comes to the silent realization of "Oh... Oh shit I'm caring about her now wait I wasn't supposed to do that fuc-"

Also Ladybug!Ishmael and Cat!Don because as much as vice versa fits it'd be kinda funny watching Tikki and Ishy's interactions (especially considering how the former's method of solving problems is to be the bigger person and the latter's method is to most likely to deck the problem in its face)

Your head spun, the air humid. You couldn’t even keep your head straight, you wanted to curl up from the pain. Yet the binds kept you in place. The rope hurt your legs and arms, you could feel the burning rash.

You couldn’t help but cry, the gag muffling your weak pleads for help, and whimpers. Your head hanging low in shame. You don’t even remember what happened, you don’t know how you got there or where are you. Oh, you just wanted to go home. Your thoughts were interrupted by someone opening the window, and walking down the stairs. The kidnapper- you assumed, visited you. How lovely…

The flicked the light switch on, you almost immediately closed your eyes. Hissing in pain. The person chuckled at your poor state.

“You look lovely like this” the kidnapper mused stepping closer to the light.

It was her, the woman who promised to help find your friends. You looked up to her. She smiled widely. Ishi crouched in front of you, before cupping your face into her hands. She cooed when you started crying again. Kissing away your tears.

She smelled like strawberries, it was disgusting.

You trying escaping the kisses, escaping her. Shaking your head violently. You didn’t expect her to grab you by it. Wincing in pain, you stopped what you were doing. Ishi smiled proudly, letting go of it. Kissing your forehead.

“I sadly can’t give you much for now, though I can make your life sweeter. Be good!”

She got up and rushed upstairs. You exhaled deeply. The smell of her still lingered. It made you want to vomit now actually. This was sickening, this was fucked up. What does she want? You hope she slips and gets knocked out so she won’t get back. Your small preys were ignored, because you saw the red head happily rush back to you. Something gleamed in the poor lighting. Your eyes widened. You let out a muffled scream, trashing around. Ishi only laughed.

“Calm down honey pie it’s not for you!”

She crouched before you, extending her arm. You saw her slice it open.

You screamed louder. Ishi put away the knife, so she could grab your face. You faced her, she seemed very giddy and happy. You could swear you see her blushing.

“Here my love, it’s all yours”

She pulled off your gag and forced your head closer to her wounded arm.

“Go on, don’t be shy”

You wanted to puke. She was disgusting. That was cannibalism! But the worst part was that, it looked too gooey, to be blood.

It also didn’t smell like it.

It smelled like strawberries.
