The writing style confused me at first, but you’ll get the hang of it. Jun basically does not know what he feels and just chalk’s up everything to awkwardness. This is a fic where someone pines after someone without knowing it. 

Idk why but it broke me. All I know is I read this at midnight and fell asleep crying. I was an emotional mess for days after it. 

(Ah maybe it’s because of how precious someone could be when they get what they deserve, even if they think they don’t deserve it.)

Couldn’t read it all at once because of how consuming the emotions are. It’s that straining and the amount of uncertainty and flowery sappy sht will choke you.

Summary: Joshua is moving to South Korea, after living in USA since he was born. He wanted to study in university there, but when he met his 12 housemates, he realized he was going to get much more than he has signed up for. Dealing with a new type of craziness every day, one thing was sure – there was no way he was going to feel bored here.

The twelve men were sitting in the big living room, spending their typical weekend together - it was something like a tradition to them. They were friends, they also liked to say they were a family, even though they sometimes couldn’t stand each other. Most of them had different personalities, yet all of them fitted so perfectly together.

“My girlfriend just dumped me, because I was too short for her. I don’t understand. Was I taller when we met? Couldn’t she just reject me in the beginning?” Jihoon complained, while looking at the wall thoughtfully.

“Maybe you were standing on your tippy toes when you two met for the first time so she thought you were taller than you are.” Seungcheol teased him and Jihoon sighed angrily, shooting him a deadly glare.

“Stop bullying the children.” Jeonghan stepped in.

“I’m not a child, you idiot,” Jihoon hissed. “I’m an adult and I should be treated as one.”

“Okay, as you wish, old man.” Seungcheol said mockingly, returning his eyes to his phone.

“Why are you all so immature? Sometimes I can’t believe I’m the youngest one.” Chan stated, looking at the older boys.

“All of you, shut up. I’m trying to read.” Wonwoo rolled his eyes with annoyance, trying to stay focused on his book.

“Wonwoo, let’s go out! I want to build a snowman!” Mingyu shouted excitedly, trying to make the older one get up from the couch.

“And I want to read a book.”

“Can’t you just go and build a snowman with your boyfriend? Please?” Mingyu looked with hope in his eyes. He looked like a child that wanted something, so he was making his typical puppy eyes, looking his cutest.

“No.” Wonwoo answered unfazed. He was somehow still resistant to his charm.

Another thing was that Mingyu and Wonwoo were dating. Wonwoo has never said it even once, but Mingyu kept mentioning it all the time, even though the older man neither confirmed nor denied it.

“You’re so antisocial it hurts. You know, I might go outside and find another boyfriend. Or girlfriend. Actually there’s this girl from our class who has a crush on me. I could go to her and give her a chance.”

“Go.” Wonwoo said monotonously, still keeping his eyes glued to the book.

“He is heartless, I give up!” Mingyu shouted with frustration and went upstairs to his room.

“He’s such a drama queen.” Seungkwan noted, sipping his tea calmly.

All the men in the room stopped what they were doing, just to look at Seungkwan. Even Wonwoo stopped looking at his book.

“What? Why are you all looking at me?”

“Because you’re usually the drama queen, Boo.” Hansol explained, smiling at Seungkwan.

Hansol was constantly trying to make Seungkwan get the hint, but he could never do that. The truth was that Hansol had a little crush on him, but the other didn’t seem to notice at all.

“I want my girlfriend back,” Jihoon frowned, looking at an image on his phone. “We only dated for like 2 days.”

“I honestly feel sorry for him.”

“And I feel sorry for all of you. Leave me alone, I want to read.” Wonwoo finally closed his book and showed some emotions, which were only negative.

He got closer to the stairs when Seokmin attracted his attention.

“Oh come on, you know you love us.”

“If you mean I want to kill all of you and live in this big house alone with my cat, then yes, your statement must be true.”

Wonwoo went upstairs and the others looked at him going.

“Guys, I’m bored, I’m going out.” Minghao said, as he stood up and got closer to the door.

“Can I come with you?” Jun asked, as he stood up.

The two Chinese men were almost always together, but the rest of the guys still couldn’t really figure out if they were dating or not.

‘’Yeah, sure.” Minghao put his shoes on, as Jun repeated his action.

When Minghao finally opened the door, he was surprised to see there was another person standing in front of the house.

“Uh, sorry, I was going to ring the bell, but I-“

“Oh, handsome” Minghao gasped and Jun looked at him discontentedly.

“Not as much as me, though.”

The newcomer didn’t seem to mind Jun’s comment at all, actually he chose to ignore it.

“I’m Joshua, your new housemate. Are there more people that live here?” Joshua asked curiously.

Joshua was so excited to come here, in South Korea, and live with other people. His parents were Korean, but he was born in USA, so he has never been to Korea before. Now that he was accepted to a university here, he was ready to begin his new life and improve his Korean.

“Too many for you to stay sane.” Jun answered and then he went out of the house, bumping his shoulder into Joshua’s on purpose.

Jun didn’t like the fact that Minghao thought Joshua was handsome. His comment automatically made him dislike the new one.

“Um…” Joshua was slightly uncomfortable with the way Jun was treating him, but he decided to try to stay positive. “Thank you for the information!”

“Is he for real…” Jun murmured and started walking.

“Wait for me!” Minghao shouted, then he went after Jun. “Don’t mind him, Jun can be a little rude sometimes.” Minghao warned before smiling and running to catch up with Jun.

Joshua stood in his place in astonishment. He have never seen such interesting people, even if this adjective wasn’t good in this case. He sighed and entered the house closing the door after him. He looked around and he noticed the men in the room, who were still a lot, even though Minghao, Jun, Wonwoo and Mingyu weren’t there.

“Hello!” Seungcheol stood up from his place, offering Joshua his hand for a handshake. “You must be our new housemate. I’m Seungcheol, the ‘dad’ of the house. Nice to meet you! If you have any problem with the others, don’t hesitate to tell me.” he smiled widely.

Joshua was really impressed. ‘Finally someone who behaves like a human’ he thought, while taking Seungcheol’s hand and shaking it slightly.

“I’m Joshua, but you can call me Josh. Or Jisoo, because that’s my Korean name.”

“Aww, such a cutie.” Jeonghan winked flirtatiously.

Jeonghan had this habit of flirting with every living and breathing creature. Most of the time he didn’t even realize he did it. It was not rare at all to see him in the university hall, stealing men and women’s hearts.

“Thanks, I guess” Joshua looked at the ground, feeling his cheeks redden.

He was called handsome and cute in less than 10 minutes and he was a little overwhelmed by all that attention he was receiving. He wasn’t used to this, so it was normal for him to feel shy. After he told his name to all the other men that were in the room he went to take a shower. He really liked the house and he felt that we was going to get on well with his housemates too. He was trying to think positively and actually things already seemed great.

A couple of weeks have already passed and he got used to the country, the house and his crazy housemates. He actually felt very comfortable around them – he realized they were just the right people for him since he was like them, he jokingly repeated they shared one braincell and maybe that wasn’t too far from the reality.

It was now Christmas time and the boys decided to go to their favorite café to celebrate. They already had a reservation so finding a table for 13 people wouldn’t be a problem. When they got there, they pulled three free tables together as they sat on the big couches and ordered coffee and hot chocolate, as well as some desserts.

“Say ah.” Mingyu looked at Wonwoo with a wide smile on his face and to everyone’s surprise the older one actually complied.

Mingyu took a little part of the dessert using his spoon and he put it in Wonwoo’s mouth. Wonwoo was chewing happily, while he was looking at Mingyu. As the others were looking at them, they looked just like the main characters from a movie.

When Wonwoo got closer to Mingyu and pressed his lips to the younger one’s, to say everyone was shocked was an understatement.

“Someone cover Chan’s eyes.” Seungcheol said worriedly, but this was actually a joke, since Chan didn’t seem to mind Mingyu and Wonwoo. Actually, none of them did.

“This is the best Christmas miracle that has ever happened to me!” Mingyu screamed excitedly, as he put his arm around Wonwoo’s shoulders.

And Wonwoo let Mingyu hug him without saying a word which was something nobody could ever imagine. It was a real Christmas miracle indeed.

“I love you.” Wonwoo said quietly, hugging Mingyu back.

“Ah, I love you too, Woo.” Mingyu kissed the older man’s cheek and after that he was smiling as widely as he could.

“You two are so cute you make me sick” Jihoon commented, sipping his coffee. “I found a new girlfriend, though.”

“Congratulations!” Joshua shouted, patting Jihoon on the shoulder. “I found one too.”

“Just looked at him. He came to live here not long ago and he already has a girlfriend and twelve friends too,” Jeonghan joked playfully. “Let me know if you decide you want a boyfriend, though”

“Oh, I definitely will.” Joshua laughed. “Guys, I’m not usually this sentimental but I wanted to give you something for Christmas, to thank you for everything. I feel as if we all have been friends for years now, I-I…” he stopped talking for a few seconds, feeling the tears forming in his eyes. “I love all of you and thank you. I can proudly call you my family.”

Joshua couldn’t hold back anymore, so he just started crying. Some of the men followed his example, standing up from their places to go and hug Josh. Others thought this was all too sappy for their liking, but still they deeply appreciated Joshua’s words.

Joshua opened his backpack and took out a small box. He opened it and showed it to the others.

“I bought this rings for all of us. I know it may seem sappy but I wanted to buy something special for all of you. The rings have our names and birth dates written on them” Joshua informed the others, while he was wiping his tears.

“Aww, why are you so sweet?” Jeonghan laughed quietly, hugging Jeonghan. “Thank you. The rings look amazing.”

The rest of the day the boys stayed together and went to many different places to just celebrate the fact they were friends, and it was Christmas. When Joshua was there with them, the boys felt nothing was missing anymore. Their friendship was what mattered the most and they planned to stay together as friends and as a family forever.

8. RIDE

 SEUNGCHEOL – He looks so peaceful standing on the deck, glowing in the sunlight. How tiring is this trip from Seoul to Jeju. You stepped out of your quarters and walked towards the ship’s deck. “You’ve been sleeping for hours inside,” he stated. “I missed the sunrise,” you sighed, frustrated. He lifts up your chin and say, “You have me with you. We could watch the sunrise every day. Hmm?”

 JEONGHAN – “Honestly, it’s my first time to ride in an airplane.” You marveled in the fact that you are already experiencing it. “It’s also my first trip outside the country.” Beside you he remained listening, smiling as he accepts everything you say. “There will be more of this,” he promised. “I’m happy to see you enjoying.” That made you smile. He leaned his head on your shoulders. “I will also be your travel partner aside from being your…” He stared at your engagement ring as he finishes the statement. “…husband soon.”

 JISOO – The lamp post is the only thing that could be seen from where you are standing. Now you regret going home late from your part time job. The street was deserted until he came. “It’s not good for girls to be out here at this hour,” he mouthed, stopping his bike. How thoughtful, you thought. You weren’t able to say a thing. He always does things like this for you. He comes whenever you need someone. The next moment you are already on your way home after he offered you a ride.

 JUNHUI – As you expected the subway is now crowded. At this hour it did not surprise you. You rushed inside and remained standing not far from the door. This situation is testing your patience. In addition to that, you don’t know why you feel uneasy with the guy standing beside you. When the subway arrived to the next station, you secretly looked at him. But you were alarmed when he caught you at that very close distance, looking straight into you.

 SOONYOUNG – “I should have taken a medicine for this,” he sighed. The boat rocks gently from left to right because of the waves. It is making him feel dizzy. A while ago you were relaxed, but now you became worried. “Next time you should be prepared,” you told him. “Next time?! For real?” he exclaimed. His tone got excited. “You should rest for now,” you said, putting an arm on his shoulders.

 WONWOO – Three hours had passed and you are still awake. You left the house early this morning to catch your flight. This vacation took so long to happen due to the schedule conflicts both of you have. He got tired of reading. He closed the book and kept it in. Then he turned to you, “My eyes hurt. I will sleep for a while. You should sleep too. We got two more hours.” On your seat, you closed your eyes. He stared at you before he closed his eyes, with his head leaning against yours.

 JIHOON – You keep on looking for familiar signs and shops outside the bus window. There is a problem. Unfortunately, you forgot the location of the place where you are supposed to be going. An idea fell on your mind. “Excuse me,” you approached the guy sitting beside you even though he is wearing earphones. “Excuse me, can you please help me with the directions of this place?” you asked him. Finally, he noticed you. He smiled when he realized you’ve been asking him many times. “I’m sorry,” he mouthed. There is something with that smile—you got mesmerized.

 SEOKMIN – Outside the subway, the sun began setting. He is with you on the way home as always. Though you are tired from work, his smiles could erase that feeling. That’s what you like about him. He finally took a seat beside you. “You look pretty today,” he complimented. “You’re making me laugh,” you said timidly. “That’s not it,” he said, trying not to smile for you might think he’s joking. You’re so tired-looking yet he complimented you. “Believe me.”

 MINGYU – “That dress looks good in you.” You heard him complimented you. From the driver’s seat, he glanced at you. “Thank you,” you replied, smiling. He turned his eyes on the road and focused on his driving. It is his parents’ wedding anniversary; you should arrive there early. “Don’t get too nervous. They’re expecting us.” To ease your nervousness, he took your hand and held it.

 MINGHAO – He got inside the van and the vehicle started moving. It took him minutes before he recognize you. You smiled when he greeted you. After that, you tilted your head to face the window. It is not that you don’t want to talk to him. You just need to think about something. But you started to hear music on your right ear. He already put one of his earphones on you. “You might get bored,” he said, smiling at you.

 SEUNGKWAN – From the past weeks, you are stuck with him. You both go to school together and went home with each other. Well he is not a boring companion that’s why you like having him around. He never runs out of stories to tell you. He always makes you laugh with his jokes. You rode in a bus with him to home, seated beside him. “Can I have your phone?” You handed your phone to him and not long after he returned it to you. A selca from him appeared in your sight. “You’re not going to miss me anymore,” he laughs.

 HANSOL – Reflected on the mirror, his eyes gives off a different glow. From the back seat where you are sitting, you are just stealing glances at his beautiful face. He suddenly looked at the mirror. You turned away. You tried to look again. This time he caught you and you felt embarrassed.

 CHAN – You heard your name being called. There is an approaching van beside you, but you didn’t bother pay attention to it. “Are you off to somewhere?” That was the time you realized it was him. You stopped walking and he invited you to go with him. But things turned out to be a surprise date.

⇢ day seventeen of 31 days of halloween 

"Youー" Jeongguk falters in his words, mouth agape as he stares at the people flanking Mingyu. "You actually brought them. All of them. Holy shit."

Jeongguk almost laughs when Namjoon and Jisoo simultaneously mutter, "Language."

Mingyu claps him on the shoulder, that broad grin of his that Jeongguk adores lining his face. "You said to bring all the people important to me."

Jeongguk shakes his head in disbelief. "Yeah, but, like, you brought twice as many people as I did! I don't have enough room for everyone in the living room."

"I did not!"

"You did! I brought six, you brought twelve. Six multiplied by two is twelve, therefore, you brought twice as many people as I did."

"Well isn't someone such a smarty pants," Mingyu chuckles, a hand rising to cup Jeongguk's neck.

Jeongguk leans into the touch before rolling his eyes. "Nope. We're taking this outside now."

And to the room at large: "Grab a pumpkin! We'll be carving in the backyard!"

Jeongguk is lucky his parents don't mind having so much company right now. They smile and wave everyone along, occasionally offering food and beverages before waving some more. Jeongguk groans when Mingyu picks one of the largest pumpkins he's got and hoists it into his arms, struggling to take it outside. Now Jeongguk has to look for a bigger pumpkin and wheeze as he carries it the backyard, not the least bit amused as his parents when they spot him struggling.

He can't just let Mingyu, his boyfriend of four months, show him up! What kind of person would Jeongguk be if he didn't grab a bigger pumpkin and decide to carve it artistically? Knowing Mingyu, Jeongguk's sure that he'll try and make the pumpkin look like a dog or a cat or something not spooky enough to excite Jeongguk's neighborhood trick-or-treaters. He's sure of it.

So when Seokjin walks up and relieves Jeongguk of his pumpkin and ruffles his hair calling him "his baby" Jeongguk flushes a bright red and avoids eye contact with any and everyone.

"Hyung!" He hisses because there's nothing more embarrassing than Seokjin babying him in front of new company.

Seokjin only laughs though, setting Jeongguk's pumpkin down beside Mingyu and walking back towards Namjoon who's eyeing the carving tools warily. Jeongguk braves a look around and finds that most of Mingyu's friends are laughing to themselves at the exchange while the youngest, Chan, shares a knowing sympathetic look. Jeongguk shakes his head and sighs before settling himself beside Mingyu who's smirking at him.

"Not a word," he mutters, his face ablaze and Mingyu cackles.

Mingyu passes out the carving tools he brought and then they're all busy with their pumpkins, a variety of styles beginning to pop up.

Jeongguk watches as Seungcheol, Jeonghan, and Jisoo bicker over their pumpkins, all three of them trying to create a larger picture over the expanse of three pumpkins. Jeonghan keeps arguing that Jisoo's edges are too clean and if they want the three pumpkins to look nice together, he needs to be softer. Seungcheol watches them bicker, rolling his eyes from time to time before deciding to just ignore them and keep carving his pumpkin.

Mingyu laughs beside him, digging an elbow into Jeongguk's side. "So, wanna gossip?"

"What kind of question is that?" Jeongguk asks, acting offended. "What kind of person do you take me for?"

And then, "...So who's dating who in your group of friends?"

Mingyu cackles and leans into Jeongguk's side. "Guess."

Jeongguk peers over their assembled group, taking notice of little details. "Mm, I'd have to say that Seungcheol, Jeonghan, and Jisoo are a thing. You can tell by the way Seungcheol lets them argue themselves sick but he looks strangely endeared either way. Oh, and another trio: Junhui, Jihoon, and Minghao. Jihoon has that same look in his eyes that Seungcheol does when his boyfriends fight. And, Wonwoo and Soonyoung, they're together right? Wonwoo keeps blushing and laughing at him, which is weird 'cause hyung never blushes. And Chan, he's still a baby so if he's dating Seungkwan and Hansol I'm going to fight them. Seokmin is still the lonely outcasted single one though unless that look Jihoon is giving him is something to go off of."

"Right, right, and right again," Mingyu whispers conspiratorially. "You'll have to fight them by the way."

Jeongguk's eyes blow up to the size of saucers. "They're together? Mingyu! Chan's not of age! How could you guys let them?"

Mingyu shrugs. "They've been together since before Seungkwan turned of age. We can't tell them anything. Besides, it's not like they have sex. Hansol refuses to do anything like that until Chan is twenty."

Jeongguk's entire face goes red at the mention of sex, but he fights back the embarrassment and hisses at Mingyu. "What about Seokmin and Jihoon?"

"Junhui-hyung and Minghao-yah don't really care who Jihoon-hyung wants to date besides them, but the looks he's been giving Seokmin for awhile are a little weird. Seokmin notices them though. He just smiles and pretends not to see anything. I think he might think that he's homewrecking their relationship or something," Mingyu replies, eyes intent on his pumpkin. "I've tried telling him that isn't the case, but Seokmin isn't going to do anything until all three of them approach him and lay their cards out on the table."

"How long do you think that might take?" Jeongguk asks, watching as Jihoon brushes Seokmin's hair out of his face and Seokmin blushes before turning away, his gaze flickering between Junhui and Minghao to gauge their reactions.

Mingyu shrugs again. "Who knows? They're all emotionally constipated so my best guess is around the spring term."

Jeongguk laughs and nudges Mingyu's side. "Keep me updated."

"Aye, aye captain!" Mingyu says with a breathtaking grin. "Now, tell me about your friends. Who's together here?"

"Guess."

Jeongguk watches as Mingyu looks them over, his brow furrowed. "Namjoon-hyung and Seokjin-hyung. Yoongi-ssi and Tae. Hobi and Jimin-hyung."

"Yeah, that's basically right," Jeongguk nods, carving more out of his pumpkin. "No triangles here or complicated emotional constipation."

"I beg to differ."

"What do you mean?"

"You're emotionally constipated. Or just incredibly shy, but I'm banking on the constipation," Mingyu murmurs, not taking his eyes off his nearly finished pumpkin.

Jeongguk blinks and looks up to examine Mingyu's expression, but he isn't looking up at Jeongguk so Jeongguk huffs out a breath and finishes carving his pumpkin. "Why do you say that?"

"Because you haven't asked me out yet."

Jeongguk laughs. "I did."

"No, you didn't."

"Did to."

"Did not."

"I did! What do you think this is right now?"

"This isn't a date if you asked me to bring all my close friends," Mingyu mumbles.

"It is so!" Jeongguk argues. "What better way to strengthen our relationship than by integrating our groups of friends together."

"Relationship?"

Jeongguk shakes his head. "Oh, come on. We've been dating for four months!"

Mingyu blinks, shocked. "We have?"

"Yes, we have. You kissed me after we got caught in the rain and we've been dating since then. Come on, Gyu. Did you really think that kiss meant nothing?"

"How was I supposed to know we were dating? You never took me on dates or held my hand or kissed me again after that first time. You've never introduced me as your boyfriend either!" Mingyu tries his best to mumble his grievances, but his voice raises at the end and their friends turn to look at them.

Jeongguk blushes under all the stares. "Because I'm shy! I'm not emotionally constipated or something like that. I'm just...shy."

"Oh god, I'm an idiot," Mingyu mumbles, pressing his hands to his face, which isn't a good idea considering they're covered in pumpkin guts.

"Yeah, you are," Jeongguk murmurs, prying Mingyu's hands from his face. "But you're my idiot."

"That I am," Mingyu manages to say before Jeongguk is kissing him for all their friends to see.

   ("My cat pumpkin is way cuter than that night sky scenery shit you did!" Mingyu yells later after their friends have left.

Jeongguk pats his head, knowing not to argue with him over this. "Yeah, whatever you say, Gyu. Whatever you say.")

23. What are their pet(s) names?

Idk about other people but I think JiHan end up with two cats and one big boi of a dog in the future. They’re all adopted, so they kind of already come with names, but Jisoo has cute little nicknames like “precious” and “floof boy” for the cats and “pretty puppers” for the dog.

Jeonghan… he calls the cats nicknames like “satan” and “asshole” and the dog as “shoe breath” or “big stinker”. It distresses Jisoo to no end, but everyone finds it hilarious. Jisoo is especially distraught when Jeonghan and Jihoon get together and come up with more nicknames for the pets.

Sometimes Jisoo refers to the pets with Jeonghan’s special nicknames with them, just to see Jeonghan’s jaw drop. Jeonghan is constantly telling the other members about this, but no one believes him. Jisoo is constantly cackling about it.

(Jeonghan loves the cats and the puppers a lot, but it’s just his way of showing affection. The only one he’ll openly show affection to is Jisoo, but that’s because Jisoo is his precious boy.)

25. What are their favorite qualities about each other?

Jeonghan likes that Jisoo is always dependable, no matter the situation. Jeonghan reckons that they could be in a completely ridiculous situation, like getting launched into space, and Jisoo could still keep his cool.

Jisoo likes that Jeonghan has such a big capacity to care, even if he hides it behind pranks and jokes. Jisoo is a sucker for tsundere boys and even though Jeonghan isn’t quite a tsundere, it’s the subtle little I care about you gestures that never fails to make Jisoo’s heart melt.

26. What do they fight about most?

Jeonghan cheats at games a lot. It’s all in good fun, but… well. Sometimes Jisoo is a sore loser (he’s only human). They’re not big arguments, but sometimes Jisoo will give Jeonghan the cold shoulder. It can last up to three days, but that’s usually the max.

They also fight about Jisoo and his nightly blanket hogging a fair bit. Jisoo can’t help that he likes to burrito himself when he sleeps. Jeonghan can’t stand it. Jihoon keeps suggesting they have two blankets, but they don’t want to listen. Everyone thinks they just enjoy having petty things to fight about.

34. Where do they get married?

Jisoo wants to get married in Los Angeles. He knows this little chapel that he’s always dreamed of getting married in. He has plans.

Realistically speaking, all thirteen members are in Las Vegas and Jisoo and Jeonghan end up getting married by an Elvis priest when Seokmin suggests just getting the marriage ceremony over with. Jisoo should’ve known better than to have plans when literally everything to do with their lives has been spontaneous and unplanned.

(For their second wedding anniversary, Jeonghan gives Jisoo the LA chapel wedding he dreamt of and Jisoo cries as they renew their vows under the lilac archway Jisoo insisted they have.)

Jihooned’s legs nearly gave way when she saw her biases (Jihoon, Seokmin, Chan, Hoshi)

Wooed: “Oh god Jun better not be the first one because I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REMEMBER ANYONE AFTER JUN”

Wooed: *tiptoes to peek at the hitouch area*

Wooed: “OGOD IT’S FREAKING JUN. JUN’S THE FIRST.” *collapses onto the floor wailing so much the security guard told her to calm down*

Wooed ran out of the room and yelled at Junnie: “I DIDN’T DO IT I DIDN’T DO IT BUT quick touch my hand touch my hand. JUN WAS FIRST, JUN WAS FIRST?!?!?! AND JISOO WAS LAST WTH!!!!” (Needless to say, Junnie died, again.)

Post-concert

Hoshit and Wooed try to get into a taxi, Hoshit reaches for the door handle with the left hand, pauses, retracts, and stares at Wooed expectantly. “How can you expect me to open the door with this hand that touched thirteen Gods??” Wooed is unimpressed. Hoshit ends up doing some kind of acrobatic act and manages to open the door with her elbow instead. They go home and live happily ever after. (this is a lie, Hoshit cries every night right before she sleeps, and every morning when she wakes up for a week after the concert. To this day, she still dreams of Seventeen every night.)

CONFESSIONS

Admin jihooned was in the midst of swerving for seokmin during de (she swerved right after it ended) so this hopefully explains her excessive screaming for him (kthxbye it’s time for jihooned to hide)

Awhile back, the “How to spot the admin” post that we made made mentioned that I wouldn’t go for DE. But I did go in the end HAHA. So here’s what happened: Remember when I (DAMN LUCKILY) bought the VIP tickets for 2 of the admins? Jihooned (Now should be known as Seokminned -.-) bought a pair of extra tickets for Cat 1. Initially, I really didn’t want to go because I did not have enough money for it. BUT ALL BECAUSE OF THAT ONE NIGHT, when Jihooned came over my house to eat ramyeon and she showed me the damn beautiful MY I live performance. Oh frick my life, it was that one video that made me open my already empty wallet. (WEN JUNHUI YOU ARE GORGEOUS.) And yeah, so I bought the ticket from Jihooned! And at this point, the only admins that knew I was going was Jihooned, Hoshi and myself. We wanted to surprise the other 2 admins because they were quite sad that I wasn’t able to go. BUTTTTTT, guess which idiot exposed me to Wooed? Asdfghkl;;;; So in the end the only one who didn’t know about it was Scooped. The best thing was, Scooped and I worked under the same department (during internship), so we saw each other every single day. But we all managed to hide it from her, saying that the extra ticket was for Jihooned’s friend. While queuing to enter the concert hall, I was with Scooped at the bag check. She was like “Wtf are you doing here? You have free concert tickets?!?! Wth LUCKY”. And she didn’t find out about this entire thing until Wooed explained to her after the concert was over. So yeah, tricking Scooped was a success and I did manage to see 13 angels in the end. The end weeeee.

ahh! i’m so glad ur interested in checking out our boys!! idk if you’re used to large groups like svt, but if you aren’t, then learning to attach names to faces can be pretty tough. luckily, svt is split up into 3 different “units” so it’s a bit easier. i hope it’s okay i use @shua​’s fantastic gifs to introduce the boys:

so this is hip hop unit, aka the rappers of the group, although they aren’t bad at singing either. in order from left to right, top to bottom, we get:

mingyu: ridiculously tall and ridiculously handsome, and if anyone knows me they know i want to fight him in a tim hortons parking lot. in truth, he’s a really sweet dorky guy, and whatever you do don’t give him something or he’ll drop it.

s.coups or seungcheol: leader of hip hop unit and overall leader of svt. has the unique ability to be both a friend and a respected leader. that all flies out the window once anything remotely competitive happens and suddenly he’s out for blood.

wonwoo: the designated Deep Voiced Rapper of the group and a total bookworm. he was pretty calm and quiet when they first debuted but has rapidly become more and more insane as time goes on.

vernon or hansol: he’s mixed (korean father, white mother) and has a plethora of embarrassing videos of him as a kid you can find on the internet. ridiculously chill but can be extra as fuck when he wants to be.

and here is vocal unit, the singers! from left to right, we have:

jeonghan: a cheater, a swindler, a mastermind, and also the most genuinely caring, nurturing person you’ll ever meet. he used to have super long hair, and when he cut it short again the entire fandom basically lost its shit.

woozi or jihoon: THE LOVE OF MY LIFE not only is he the leader of the vocal unit, but he’s also talented and intense and composes all their music. if an introverted, awkward, acerbic cat was a person, that cat would be lee jihoon.

joshua or jisoo: originally from LA, he used to be the sweet gentleman guy before he revealed himself to be wild and dorky as all hell. if he went to college, i’m pretty sure he’d be the guy playing the guitar at parties. you know who i’m talking about.

seungkwan: one of the main singers. outgoing, great at comedy and variety, talented as fuck, and ridiculously soft-hearted. loves his mother to hell and back and so far has cried over every award/music show they’ve won.

dk or dokyeom or seokmin: the other main singer and literally a physical embodiment of pure sunshine. his smile has been scientifically proven to banish negativity within a 50ft radius. he’s Soft and Must Be Protected. also those thighs, holy shit, those thighs.

and finally, performance unit! they are the main dancers and will kill you with their moves. from left to right, top to bottom, we have:

dino or chan: the talented maknae of the group. his parents own a dancing studio and he looks up to michael jackson. ridiculously responsible and mature for his age, but the other members prefer to keep treating him like a baby.

jun or junhui: one of the chinese members. he used to be a child actor and is basically Perfection. a really sweet and supportive mom friend, but whatever you do don’t try and argue that he’s not hot shit bc he will 100% try to prove you wrong immediately.

the8 or minghao: the other chinese member and has crazy b-boying skills & can do flips and shit that basically give me a heart attack. he used to be pretty quiet because he wasn’t used to the language yet, but has since become a Roasting Champion.

hoshi or soonyoung: the leader of performance unit and the one who creates most of the group’s choreography. imaginative, energetic, focused, serious when he needs to be, and in general has absolutely no chill. like. at all.

and that’s all the members! what i recommend is to start watching their shows to help you get comfortable with them and get to know their personalities. i recommend watching in order:

17 project: detailing their challenges and tasks up to their debut with adore u, here you get to meet baby!svt and see how hard they’ve worked to gain fans, improve their abilities, and come out as a new group. expect lots of tears.

one fine day: set roughly in between mansae and pretty u era, watch svt get thrown onto an island, learn to fish, beg for food, and nearly starve to death if it wasn’t for mingyu. i’m completely serious. that’s the whole show.

one fine day in japan: set after boom boom era and only just finished! it’s one fine day season 2, except now they’re chilling in akita, japan, where they frolick in the snow, struggle with the language, eat good food, and engage in the most heated, intense rivalry the world has ever seen. 

there’s also 17tv, back when they were trainees. it’s hard to really watch it all these days, but you can find english subbed video clips on youtube of baby!baby!svt messing around in practice rooms and (usually) being Gay As Fuck with each other. trust me, this is where half the shipping comes from.

and there’s plenty else i’m sure you can find, but this is how you can really get into them! also make sure to check out their music videos, albums, etc. etc. every fandom has their issues, but the svt fandom is in general a pretty great place with lots of cool ppl!!!

Could you make some sort of list of diagram or something to show the members of Seventeen and who they are closest too within the group? Like friend-ships (did you see what I did there? I crack myself up) and could you include the friend-ships between them and NU'EST?

Sure! I’ll give a quick breakdown of the popular ships/friendships in Seventeen as well as key ones with NU’EST! I hope this is what you’re looking for! ^_^

Jihan/Jeongcheol/’95 line: The three eldest members of Seventeen, Scoups (seungcheol), Joshua (jisoo), and Jeonghan are considered to all be very close friends as a group as well as pairs of individuals. Joshua and Scoups aren’t considered to be as close as Joshua/Jeonghan or Jeonghan/Scoups, however as a three paired group they’re all close and usually referred to as the ‘95 line friends.

Jicheol: Woozi and Scoups are the leaders of the vocal and hip hop unit, and have also been trainees together for a long time. They’re close and good friends in the group since predebut era and work together well. During debut era, they said they were the most awkward with one another but they’ve worked well together to move past it and be close again.

Gyuhao/’97 line: The three members born in 1997 are Mingyu, The8 (Minghao), and DK, and as a group they’re close friends. The8 and Mingyu are a rising popularity as a pair and have a bickering best friends concept, but they’re very close. The ‘97 line in Seventeen is also part of a close friend group with other 97 line male idols and even have a group chat which includes BTS’s Jungkook, NCT’s Jaehyun, and Got7′s Bambam and Yugeom. Seungkwan is sometimes confused to be a 97 liner because he graduated a year ahead with the 97 line, but he’s a 98 line instead.

Verkwan: Vernon and Seungkwan are the two ‘98 liners and are very close friends. They enjoy getting ice cream together and often hang around together.

China Line or JunHao: Having both come from China, The8 and Jun have become close friends in Korea and help each other with learning Korean and dancing. They have a bit of a reverse charm when Jun becomes hyper and cutesy when interacting with The8 and The8 becomes quiet and savage, effectively switching their normal habits. They don’t usually speak Chinese to each other, however, in an effort to better their understanding of Korean Language.

SoonSeok/BooSeokSoon: Hoshi (Soonyoung) and DK (Seokmin) are also quite close friends since predebut and are often together playing jokes or generally being dorks. They make up 2/3 of Booseoksoon or “gagtrio” friendship, joined by Seungkwan. They all enjoy making others laugh, playing small jokes, or lightening the mood.

Meanie: Recent survey data suggests Meanie is actually the most popular Seventeen ship, made up of Mingyu and Wonwoo. The name comes from before the stage names were made, standing for Mingyu and Mr. Beanie, Wonwoo’s nickname from predebut. Their chemistry mostly comes from the “opposites attract” principle, but they’re also very good friends together.

There are of course a hoarde of other ships and friendships in Seventeen, but from my memory these are the most popular and widely acknowledged ones. As for NU’EST, Woozi is the most popular with Nu’est members. Aron has said Woozi is “like my little baby” and Baekho has shown fondness for Woozi during ISAC recordings as well as predebut concerts, as has Ren. Woozi and Scoups trained with NU’EST, so they are closer to the members. Aron also has said he’s close to Joshua, who apparently grew up around the same neighborhood as Aron and knows many of the same people in LA. However, with NU’EST in Japan as much, we don’t see many interactions between the two groups. 

Notable friendships in other groups include Monsta X’s Minhyuk and Jeonghan, Monsta X’s Jooheon and Hoshi, Ailee and Woozi and Scoups, Super Junior’s Ryewook and DK, as well as friendships with the groups of Monsta X, Super Junior, Mamamoo, Up10tion, SHINee, and many others.

"Yeah, it's okay," Minghao smiled, small creases forming around his eyes. "See you then."

Minghao stood patiently as he watched you take off in the other direction because every now and then, you would turn back and give him another wave with a wide smile plastered on your face; he lived for that smile.

February

You never turned up that Monday. And Minghao hadn't seen you since.

No one was to blame, work was always in the way and besides, both of you had other friends. A lot of other friends as it seemed.

Now, it didn't happen often, maybe once or twice a year, but by luck or by sheer determination, the whole group would find a time, day and place to all gather together. Minghao recalled this day as crystal clear because the snow was beginning to fade and he bought expensive, red shoe laces that he never used.

First, he arrived early at the bowling alley and the staff told him he couldn't enter until the one who had made the reservation arrived. That was Jun.

While he was waiting, a few others arrived; Jeonghan, Minhyuk and Sehun. They were all tall and handsome, walking with a kind of confidence that made them untouchable. Minghao envied that, perhaps if he had been more like them, you would have noticed sooner.

The next group to arrive was a few of his colleagues; Soonyoung, Seokmin, Seungkwan and Jihoon. Whilst the former three were joking loudly, Jihoon had earphones in and his hands were in his pockets. Typical. The next were Jisoo, Hansol and Seungcheol, then Jungkook, Mingyu, Wonwoo and Yugyeom.

Then the two of you arrived. Minghao remembered because he was happiest to see the two of you. Jun had his arm around your shoulder and you were wearing his scarf.

Minghao had given Jun that scarf as a Christmas present, but he didn't mind.

While you and Minghao sat, waiting for your turn, he showed you the shoelace he bought. They were red and thin. You play around, tying one end to his pinky and the other to yours. Then you had taken his end off of his finger and slipped in into Jun's.

The shoelace broke when you tried to untie the ends.

March

For two nights you had stayed over at Minghao's. You wouldn't tell him why but he didn't need to know because you were happy.

On the last night, both of you leant out his window together to try to get a glimpse of his neighbour's cat. It was sleek black and green eyed. The two of you joked that it looked like Jun. That night, Minghao noticed that everything went back to Jun.

And he should have seen it coming.

April

Minghao had begun to think that summer was on its way.

The two of you strolled down the park, a drink in hand from a cheap coffee shop. You had your arm wrapped around his and he was holding your shopping bags. Between yourselves, you shared jokes and stories about how your life had been as of late.

That was when you told him.

"Minghao," your steps faltered as you began with an edge to your voice. "I like somebody."

"Who?"

"Promise you won't laugh?" You held back an embarrassed grin.

"Just tell me," Minghao smiled back.

"Jun."

Minghao told you he was happy, and he was.

That night, snow fell again; an April miracle. But Minghao had a cold nose all night.

May

Minghao had put in a good word or two, but the relationship wasn't budging from friend zone.

He was happy that month.

June

This was the first time Minghao understood the magic of summer as he watched you fall in love slowly with Jun,.

You and Jun had shared a kissed and you had gushed to Minghao. He responded with the right reaction, the right kind of cheerful smile, the right kind of racy jokes. And yet the two of you knew that something was beginning to feel awkward.

Minghao thought it'd be best not to address this and move on. The following week, he asked Jun if he would want to go watch a movie with some friends. Minghao called "sick" last minute, and you and Jun watched a movie. But it was an action film with a shitty plotline and romantic subplot.

Late at night, Minghao answered a call from you.

"I wish you were there."

His heart sang so loud the heavens could hear.

July

Minghao and Jun had met for drinks one Friday night.

The two talked a lot about you. Minghao talked about how kind you were and Jun told him about how pretty he found you.

"They've got a great body, you know? Like, it's just like my type," Jun laughed. "I like them, you know?"

"You've got a funny taste," Minghao joked. "Yeah, though. They're pretty, I guess. Good to hang out with."

"I'm going to ask her out."

August

It was still scorching hot, Minghao remembered because he had sweat through two t-shirts in one day.

You and Jun had been dating for a month now. It made Minghao wonder if it could have been him.

September

"I haven't seen you in a while," Minghao pulled you in for a hug.

You, Minghao, Jun, Lalisa, BamBam and Mingyu were supposed to have dinner together.

Shyly you had pushed away, eyes darting towards Jun. "Sorry."

Minghao remembered the time you had hid your cell phone from his eyes. The feeling stung as much as it had the first time.

October

Minghao was okay with just being your friend.

Until it happened.

November

He doesn't remember the smell. Everyone says they remember and hated the smell, but he doesn't.

What he remembers are your hands that twitched and your face that paled. He remembered sleeping in fold-out chairs beside your hospital bed and the feeling of resent towards Jun.

Jun had called it quits with you after a week of your comatose. Minghao had never punched anyone until the moment he had said, "I can't deal with this. I can't take care of her if she's fucked up somewhere."

Smack.

The whole ward had fallen silent except for Minghao's heavy breathing. Soonyoung who was usually a joker had stepped up to scold both of them. Tzuyu drove Jun home and Minghao stayed at the hospital for five days straight. The last Minghao heard was that Jun had moved to live with his uncle Heechul in Seoul with a job in politics.

You woke up on the last day of November.

December

Minghao had patched it over with Jun through a few texts and facetimes. Mostly because Mingyu insisted.

"I don't want to be blunt, Minghao," Mingyu began. "But I think you like them."

"Who?"

"You know who." Mingyu said. He looked over his shoulder and look towards Minghao’s couch where you were wedged between Jisoo and Hansol watching Drake music videos and creating Tupac theories.

January

You and Minghao kissed on New Years.

You were in his room. Everything was hushed and softened by the dark. Minghao took your hand in his, there was something about the moment that let both of you know it was alright. It was awkward and weird but it made Minghao feel like he was flying.

The two of you never talked about it afterwards.

February

Minghao held your coffee and his own, standing on the edge of the park, waiting for you. The snow had begun to thin out and Minghao remembered because his shoes were soaked in the melted puddles.

He had finished his coffee and trashed your cold one by the time you walked around the corner, tightly wrapped in a coat. When your eyes met, a smile spread across your face and Minghao thought the wait was worth it.

You began running and Minghao opened his arms. When the two of you had collided, you kissed him.

How could he forget that?

March

You held each other's hand underneath the table during dinner. Nayeon sitting next to Minghao noticed but Shownu sitting next you didn't - he was too busy eating.

Many things had changed since last time they all hung out at the bowling alley.

Jun was not with them, Mingyu and Wonwoo were engaged, Jeonghan and Sehun had had a falling out over a boy named Johnny and Chan graduated university. Seungcheol moved to Seoul, Seungkwan finally got his driver's license and Chanyeol moved back from Seoul.

And you were all his.

April

Minghao couldn’t help but keep count of the days.

The day you shared a bed, the day you bought him flowers, the day you watched a movie all day, the day you tried to exercise but had ice cream instead, the day you met his parents and the day he met yours.

Summer was on it’s way.

May

Three months.

Minghao remembered the first time you two had sex. He was twice sure to be careful. For the sake of the mood you had tried to put on music but it was only distracting.

Minghao still remembered being happy.

June

Jun came back from Seoul for summer. It was awkward at first, but Minghao had missed Jun.

After all, they had been best friends.

Beside, Jun had started seeing someone in Seoul. A pretty, tall boy named Seungjun. Minghao remembered seeing a picture of him briefly on Jun’s background.

You weren’t upset, and Minghao remembered thinking that was all that mattered.

July

Summertime was magic. Minghao remembered thinking the same thing the year before.

When he told you this, you laughed and it was like a weight was lifted from Minghao’s chest.

“You remember thinking that from a year ago?” You asked.

“I remember a lot of things from a year ago,” Minghao replied with a toothy grin.

“Will you remember me in a year?” You leaned in.

“Without a doubt.”
