I've been pondering this for a second, but I have this theory that ghosts can feel other ghosts, and the show kind of has this emphasis on kissing. Such as Charles misses kissing, and Edwin never got to experience his first kiss before he died. Now, technically, Edwin had his first kiss with Monty and Charles kisses Crystal, but they can't feel it physically. I don't know. I just feel like it's set up to be really beautiful if Edwin and Charles ever do kiss.

Lucanis was lovingly placing kisses down the side of Rook’s neck; she tried very hard not to moan… but, as his face buried into her, his arms wrapped even tighter around her, reaching down to firmly grab her ass. She squirmed in surprise before her lips parted at the sensation of his teeth burying into her skin, marking her possessively.

“A-ah-! H-Hi there, S-Spite…!”

Glowing eyes blinked in confusion as he let out a low growl. “How…? Tried... Not interrupt. Nrgh. Never Spite’s turn…” Rook urged him to straighten up so she could look into his eyes, running her thumb over his cheek, before ghosting over his lips. 

“You really thought I wouldn’t recognize your touch?”

She smiled at him and leaned in for a kiss, immediately feeling his fingers dig into her; his tongue aggressively darted out to slide past her lips, but she pulled away with a giggle and placed a scolding finger on his mouth. “Ah! Now, now, I know you’ll be good for me and let me finish what I started with Lucanis.”

His expression dropped, cheek puffing as his grip on her curves loosened. He grumbled in defeat. “Always Lucanis…” She softly took a hold of his chin and turned his head to face her again, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him close. Their bodies pressed together, and she felt his heart hammer in his chest. Lucanis had somehow managed to gather all the patience in the world and left absolutely none for Spite. He breathed out loudly, immediately towering over her, aiming for her neck again- 

Rook squealed and hit his chest playfully, grabbing his face and holding him still. “I promise. We can have fun, too. Okay? I promise, Spite. But it’s very upsetting for Lucanis when you interrupt him. I won’t forget where we left off” she purred, searching his eyes for that adoring look of resignation. “... You promise Spite.” “I promise, Spite. Pinky promise! Look.” She held out her pinky for him, and gestured for him to wrap his own around it.

“Yes. Pinky promise. This will be honored. Rosalina… cares for Spite.” “I adore you, Spite.” He growled and lifted her, bouncing her momentarily on him. “Don’t say that, I’ll…”

She hushed him, kissing his ear before whispering into it. “Be good. Won’t you? I know you love being a good boy for me.” Wordlessly, he moved them into their previous position and placed his lips over her neck again, before her Crow returned to her, passionately peppering kisses over her skin. She mewled at the sensitivity left behind by Spite’s biting, and Lucanis narrowed his eyes for a moment. “Forgive me. I did not mean to…”

He inspected the wound on her neck, before finishing his sentence between gritted teeth.

“... be so rough.” Did he sound…

Jealous? Innocently, she ran her hands through his hair.

“You never need to apologize to me, Vhenan.”

That seemed to placate him enough to continue, but she could feel the slight spite in his touch, the possessiveness, the hunger to prove his inner demon that she. was. his.
