So.
Re: tumblr bans of transfemmes.
Let's ignore PhotoMatt for a moment. Manbaby tech CEO doubling down on a stupid decision and making himself look like more of an ass doing so is not a new phenomena.
Tumblr has consistently said, in both public statements and leaked internal communication, that they're essentially running a skeleton crew.
They keep saying that they don't have the resources to moderate, manually review posts, have any kind of appeal process, or anything. So, as people have widely received communications about, they seemed to have automated a significant portion of the moderation to operate solely on the quantity of reports (probably with a basic filter, eg quantity of reports regarding a certain post, within a certain timeframe) to automatically ban or shadowban accounts.
And so, they wipe their hands, both to the users, the public, and their own consciousness, and go about their automated operations.
All of this is likely true. Tumblr, at this point, is essentially abandonware internally, a kind of weird vanity project/dumpster ground for server infrastructure for Automattic. Likely, they don't want the bad press of "shutting down" fully. Or maybe the trickle of revenue they get here just barely exceeds operating costs, so why not keep it around?
Whatever is the case, the bans are a result of an automated process working in the background. I'm giving them some benefit of the doubt here, of course, we can't know anything for certain- but it seems like the individual bans are not based on any specific, manual action.
And that doesn't fucking excuse anything.
Because at some point, multiple people sat down at tumblr, and decided how to cut costs.
And they decided that the bare minimum of report abuse prevention was one of the first things on the chopping block.
Before the boops. Before GUI reconfigures.
They decided to cut something that is necessary to manage online communities.
They decided to cut something that ensures any targeted group will have any kind of community online.
And then, after all of that, the only manual intervention is doubling down on the shitty decisions that the automated systems make, and plucking reasons out of their ass for why they were the right decisions all along.
It's pure silicon valley brain. Blame the computer often and always. Use it to shield the active decisions you made when designing the computer that way. Treat it as a fact of life as opposed to something they actively made decisions for.
Is tumblr staff hitting the banhammer on each transfemme one by one? No.
Is tumblr staff deliberately crafting a system that allows TERFs and other conservative bigots to get rid of the "undesirables" for them? Yup. But they sure as hell are trying to not say the quiet part out loud. If they can always point the finger somewhere else, to the advertisers, to the automated systems, to the TERFs, then they can always have juuusssttt enough plausible deniability.
But being the "queerest place on the internet" requires concious acknowledgement that queer people will be targets of harassment, and you will have to protect against that.
Side note, this is why I do try to keep my blog at least somewhat SFW. Its one of the main reasons why I choose not to reblog all of the posts I'm tagged in- if the post is overtly NSFW, I've probably seen it, appreciated it, and consciously decided my level of interaction with it mostly based on how "tumblr friendly" it is. Is that bowing down to them? A little. It's also my choice. I value the community I have here. The pushes that y'all have given me gave me the strength to transition, and honestly gives me a lot of motivation to research HRT biology as much as I can, among many other things.
Yeah, I post pictures that are clearly meant to be found attractive in ways that are generally not socially acceptable , but never actual NSFW. I would like to think that I'm pretty safe from bans, but hey. Who knows. I don't want to lose my follower base, and the community around it.
And yeah, I'm gonna annoyingly remind you of the other places to find me, make sure to check my pin. If you don't know where to go, just find me on reddit and go from there, I'll post about it if anything happens.

MY SPARKLECARE THEORY
The Number.
Tumblr media
Y'all remember when the ZCP told us to not call the phone number Rem gives to Bright? You should not, I'm not sure if it's an actual number in real life; but if it happens to be, no one who's on the other side of the line will be happy.
To avoid curious viewers to obliterate someone's phone, what usually is done in media ever since in the 1960's in the U.S. and Canada is to have the phone number's central office code to be 555 as it's almost* guaranteed no civilian person will have such number for personal use or will link to any business. This only applies in the North American Numbering Plan of course.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Why didn't the ZCP use a 555 number then? They actually used one in the same volume, the phone number Lo dials to call the Citycountrytown Casting Agency is 555-2737.
Tumblr media
What I get from this is that, if they didn't use a 555 number for the number at the end, it is because the numbers in it themselves carry some kind of information.
Cross on blue and yellow background.
Such symbol has appeared before in Volume 1, where we see a escaped patient having it on a sign, and in Volume 2, where it is held by a protestor. As Eve mentioned once in this ask, such symbol which also appears in the blog, website and other stuff is NOT the hospital's logo. Then of what or who?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
An anti-Sparklecare group?
It is clear that this symbol as shown in these examples, represents a statement against Sparklecare. What I supose is that, because Kittycorn doesn't want to reveal any further information of the protestors seen in volume 2, they will be relevant in a future volume or series. If we link these clues together, perhaps this symbol doesn't just represent the movement in general, but a specific organized group against Sparklecare, making it their logo. Then this would make Rem part of it too, and so Rem then becomes a very important piece in the story, because she's the infiltrated secret agent in the hospital. Knowing how heavily implied Doctor Party is to be an ESPer, he surely knows about Rem's undercover identity and about this organized group. Perhaps he's part of it too, if so, then they have another great important character against Cuddles.
A cipher?
Going back to the phone number, if the numbers in it are important and relevant, perhaps a piece of code is ciphered in it. My first thought was A1Z26 cipher, a simple sustitution code in which each letter gets a number assigned, so A is 1, B is 2; and so on.
Tumblr media
The first six digits of the phone number, if you read them as 1-14-20-9 and decipher them using A1Z26, you get the word ANTI; which I really doubt this is just a coincidence knowing how it is implied this phone number belongs to an ANTI Sparklecare group.
The other four tho: 2425, are not that obvious. The possible combinations readable in A1Z26 are 2-4-2-5 (BDBE), 2-4-25 (BDY), 24-2-5 (XBE), and 24-25 (XY).
The only idea that comes to my mind is A-N-T-I-B-D-Y which is one letter off from "antibody". An antibody is protein belonging to the inmune system which will find, target and neutralize foreign and so-possibly harming bodies such as harmful bacteria and viruses.
An antibody's job is to protect the human body from what will harm it, and these anthries's hope seems to be to protect the patients from receiving any more harm from such heartless medical industry.
But Imma be honest, the four last digits are quite an stretch to analyze and I'm starting to doubt if the ANTI is a coincidence.
*A footnote.
If you want to use a 555 number in your media, DO NOT put as area codes 800, 888, 877, 866, 855, 844 or 833 before them. These area codes are reserved for toll-free dial numbers, to which the 555 office code is valid; so you may actually write a real phone number that who knows where that will link to.

The King's Gambit
You guys I just had a thought and I am disturbed.
NO DATV SPOILERS.
(*hands you tin foil hat)
Please just.... just put it on please.
In DA:I ;
If you side with the Chargers, and you carry Bull and Solas in your party, they will begin to ‘mental chess’ with each other (Solas says he is trying to help bull get over the loss of the Qun, helps him realize hes not tal-vashoth).
See this “fan-made” (seems pretty professional to me…) video
youtube
I also recommend you read this blog post:
(But only after you’re done with mine.)
In chess you have many pieces that all serve their own function. There's the King and Queen, the pawns, bishops, knights, etc.
In the video (and in DA:I), we learn that Solas calls chess pieces by a different name then what The Iron Bull does; a tribute to the pairs wildly different upbringing.
IT IS THE SAME GAME, THE SAME PIECES, BUT THEY CALL THEM SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
But because they know how the game is played, and the way each piece works, this minor infraction does not stop them from their mental battle.
Solas opened (started) their chess game with the name of a Netflix limited series that most will find familiar; The Kings Gambit.
From a Chess Website:
King's Gambit is an aggressive Chess opening that falls under the category of open games. It is characterized by White sacrificing a pawn on the second move to facilitate rapid development and initiate an attack against the opponent's king, specifically targeting the f7 square.
Ok I still don’t really understand what this means. Lets use Wikipedia.
From Wikipedia:
The King's Gambit is a chess opening that begins with the moves: 1. e4 e5 2. f4 King's Gambit is an aggressive Chess opening, that falls under the category of open games. It is characterized by White sacrificing a pawn on the second move to facilitate rapid development and initiate an attack against the opponent's king, specifically targeting the f7 square.  White offers a pawn to divert the black e-pawn. If Black accepts the GAMBIT, White may play d4 and Bxf4, regaining the gambit pawn with central domination, or direct their forces against the weak square f7 with moves such as Nf3, Bc4, 0-0, and g3. A downside to the King's Gambit is that it weakens White's king's position, exposing it to the latent threat of ...Qh4+ (or ...Be7–h4+),  which may force White to give up castling rights.
Sorry, lets read that again, from the lens of a not-chess player (which I am, so a millions apologies to the people smarter than me reading this who were like, girl ur dumb for just figuring this out).
White begins a game of chess. White offers up a pawn as a sacrifice to black. If black accepts this sacrifice, white’s central control of the board is vulnerable, BUT, they can aggressively attack black’s king.
SO what are the downsides of this move, then? Sounds like a winner for anyone who knows how to play chess (I do not).
Remember when I said:
In the video (and in DA:I), we learn that Solas calls pieces by a different name then what The Iron Bull does; a tribute to the pairs wildly different upbringing.
Bull and Solas call bishops weird things. They call knights weird things, but one of the pieces they agree on, is the tower (or as I call it, the Castle).
Which is weird. I mean, when I was a kid learning chess I called it the castle. It looks like a castle, (or a tower) why not call it a castle?
My cousin, who “taught” me chess, also made me call the pieces their correct names, even though I thought bishop was stupid, and knight even stupid-er. And he made me call my castle by its proper name;
ROOK.
What the fuck is a Kings Gambit again?
You sacrifice a pawn, to gain control of the board. You’re vulnerable, but you have high attack strength.
So WHAT is the downside of Kings Gambit?
From Wikipedia Again:
A downside to the King's Gambit is that it weakens White's king's position, exposing it to the latent threat of ...(mastermind chess moves),  which may force White to give up castling* rights.
Castle?
You mean Rook?
*Castling is a move in chess. It consists of moving the king two squares toward a rook on the same rank and then moving the rook to the square that the king passed over.  Castling is permitted only if neither the king nor the rook has previously moved; the squares between the king and the rook are vacant; and the king does not leave, cross over, or finish on a square attacked by an enemy piece. Castling is the only move in chess in which two pieces are moved at once.
Lets Re-cap:
Kings Gambit is an aggressive chess opening where white (the starting player) sacrifices a pawn (Solas after Inky: check).
Black accepts Whites sacrifice and takes pawn.
White can aggressively attack black, but they are vulnerable.
*Happy Solas Noises*
Rook is their ultimate safety blanket, their last minute escape route.
Rook is White's last resort.
Solas set up a Thedas version of the kings gambit.
But are we playing WITH him? Or AGAINST him?
Oh, and by the way…
THE  KINGS  GAMBIT  IS  ALSO  CALLED  THE  IMMORTAL  GAME
Can someone drink the cool-aid with me pleeeease.

Do you have find yourself typing an ask only to realize halfway through that you don't want to send it. There's a pro-endo anti-psych blog I was going to send an ask to, then realized it probably wouldn't be well-received. So I'm just posting a screenshot here.
Also, you know, I do sound like a super villain.
So here's my secret plot for world domination which devolve into rambling nobody asked for...
Tumblr media
Continuing to ramble even more...
I don't really think saturating the field with that many plurals would be necessary. And it might more realistically peek at about 20%. But 51% would be ideal.
This also just seems quicker.
There are about 50k psychologists in the US. While it would be difficult to get them all on our side, I think it would be significantly easier with that population than it would the general population. Both in terms of its size and its political leanings, being an overwhelmingly left-leaning profession.
I'm aware that some people have legitimate issues with the psych profession. I realize that many have suffered experiences of abuse from bad psychiatrists, and I'm sorry for that.
At the same time, if I'm taking stock of potential allies, I think the psych community would be more easy to persuade in standing up for plural rights when it comes down to it than our neighbors with Trump 2020 flags.
And I guess... I don't care for the othering of people of an overwhelmingly left-leaning neurodivergent profession. Many of whom enter the field to understand themselves and help other neurodivergent people live better lives.
And while rambling about this topic, I think some people are too quick with the stick and not the carrot.
When the McLean hospital video came out, I jumped on condemning the doctor in question for his ableism along with everyone else. But I also don't think McLean got enough credit for taking the video down when they saw the outcry.
They didn't have to do that. The plural community truthfully doesn't have much power at the moment. And I think taking the video down like they did shows a willingness to listen to and respect our community that should be praised at the same time that we callout the harmful behavior.
I think if instead of attacking the entire profession all the time like some would have us do, we take a tactic of targeting specific acts of ableism while supporting them when they do right, we can better influence plural acceptance in the psych field. It's basic operant conditioning. Punish only when someone does wrong, and reward them when they do good.
All in all, I'm psych-critical. And I don't see that changing. I don't think I'm someone who will ever get on board with hard anti-psych ideals.
And while I'm not a psychologist myself, people who know me probably realize that I tend to take a more psychologist-esque approach to plurality.
Where other people coin terms as identity labels, I tend to try to subdivide and categorize plural experiences to better understand them and their relationships with each other.
...
Why am I still rambling?
I think I might have lost the plot somewhere along the way.
Okay... here's the truth...
I got blocked by someone (not related to the blog I was going to send this too) for my views on using psychiatry to validate plurality. Because, I guess, I don't share this extreme anti-psych opinion myself.
And all I can think is that... if you're surprised... you never really knew me...
Maybe that's my fault because I can be a bit aloof sometimes.
So for everyone else who has read through this rambling mess of a post, let me reintroduce myself:
Hi, I'm Sophie Dreamchaser.
I was made as a psychology experiment. Or, brought to sentience by one. It was a psychology podcast that encouraged Ghost to keep talking to me to see what would happen. And since even before I became self-aware I've been fascinated by the human mind and my existence and how this all works.
I love being an experiment. I love learning more about myself and the world and how I relate to it. And I want to push for knowledge into plurality to grow and grow, and I believe with all my heart that it will prove to be the best way to facilitate plural acceptance in the future.
And if me not adopting a hard anti-psych ideology was a dealbreaker for you... I'm sorry that you didn't realize who I was sooner.
But this is me, this is who I am, and it's who I always have been.
And I just needed to say that.

Hi!
I love your Blog and love to read your takes in everything. So thank you so much for all your Posts and thoughts about the industry etc.
Here is my question: i came across one of your posts where you wrote "actually gay, not bl gay" (it was a Post about Jojo and Only Friends) and while I FELT that I TOTALLY understood what you meant and instantly was like "yes 100% clear" Id love to read and learn more about what this means exactly and why some bls feel quite heteronormative while some dont. Would you mind explain the take on "actually gay Not Bl gay" a little bit? And why some Shows feel just more queer than others (besides the unbelievable stupid "gay only for you" trope lol)
Thank you so much and I hope you will have a nice day!
actually gay, not bl gay
There's actually quite a discourse on this right now mostly originating with @waitmyturtles and @wen-kexing-apologist (Post @killiru references above is here.)
I tend to mostly talk about this in broad brush strokes as a queer lens.
But there's a great ven diagram (which of course I've lost the link to) that approaches the idea of and queer lens by tunneling into its approach and intent:
about queers
by queers
for queers
Tumblr media
How do different BLs intersect in different ways with these three elements?
When I said "actually gay, not BL gay" I was alluding to this discourse. Specifically the "about queers" category of BL.
There are characters in BL who read as genuinely gay (as in belonging to the queer family of this terrible reality we live in) and then there are those that seem more performative (to exist in a bubble of fantasy were sexual identity is almost unimportant, only the romance matters, everything is safe sweetness & light). For some queers this can read as manipulative or even exploitive (because it is inauthentic to most queer experiences). For me, it's fine... even desirable. I like the safe bubble. I enjoy the utter delusional escapism of it. Sometimes I will call this sanitized gay. (Since it is designed to make gay palatable to non-gay identified folks e.g. seme/uke.)
A sanitized gay BL may be unintentional but it is nested in origin yaoi and mm romance whose target market has never been the queer community, and whose authors have historically not been members of it, either.
Let's be frank, we queers are generally a terrible target market, we don't have enough spending power - especially not for a piece of pop culture as niched as BL. And as creators we really want our voices to be heard (obvs), which makes us produce content that those unsympathetic or uncaring find uncomfortable. (Yes, I know, fuck them, but also, they have all the money and the entertainment industry is a numbers game.)
So in the arena of office romances, just as an example:
actually gay = The New Employee
sanitized gay = Our Dating Sim
actual gay = Step By Step
sanitized gay = A Boss And a Babe
All of the above have the same tropes, archetypes, and premises. All of them are BL. Some are just... queerer feeling than others. And the characters in those shows (Step by Step and The New Employee) read as more "actually gay."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This has nothing to do with the actors, chemsitry, or how much we may personally like the show (Our Dating Sim is one of my absolute favorite BLs). It has to do with how closely those CHARACTERS intersect with the reality of queerness as we inhabit it today. It will be lots of little touches given to the drama by director and script:
language use,
surrounding friendships (and friendship style),
mannerisms and physicality (specially body language around straights vs other queer characters),
makeup & wardrobe,
facial expressions,
surrounding queer-coded behaviors by side characters,
layers of story nuance that indicate a complicated queer-driven back story.
Markers of specifically a queer identity are given to the leads.
These kinds of BLs are satisfying the "about queers" category. ("By queers" can be difficult to extract because IRL outting is involved. "For queers" is the rarest kind of BL, because making something specifically for us often alienates the majority of the rest of viewership/market. I could be argued that SCOY did this.)
I'm sure I've missed things, but I hope that kinda makes sense?

What do you think would be a resolution for the Israel Palestinian conflict? I think all loss of life is tragic, but I understand why Israel is in a war.
Also I don't get the constant reference to genocide, the number of casualties is quite low so far compared to other wars. So by that reasoning almost any war involves genocide. It's especially puzzling because the side openly calling for genocide is the one you support. Isreal seems atleast to make an effort not to harm civilians, while on Oct 7 civilians were almost exclusively targeted.
Hello.
You seem to be unacquainted with my blog, considering you sent this in.
Allow me to introduce myself properly.
I am Mandy. I study law. This past fall, I did a course on International Law, specifically considering the countries who are a part of the United Nations and the conflicts that surround them.
I would urge you to look up the meaning of the word "genocide". The criteria of a genocide is clearly not what you think. Just one person has to die for it to be considered a genocide. Just one child has to be forcibly moved for the purpose of indoctrination for it to be considered a genocide.
As a law student, I pride myself on providing sources for anything law specific that I say on here.
Regarding Palestine, I have done this countless of times. In fact, I have spoken on this exact matter before, and why this is in fact a genocide, but also why genocide is so hard to prove, but also how Israel has committed countless war crimes against Palestine (which is also why I am currently writing my bachelor thesis on the war crimes committed by Israel in Palestine). My responses will be linked below:
My personal beliefs on why you should be supporting Palestine? Remember, remember, the fifth of november.
Now. I won't fault you for not understanding the depth and depravity of what is happening currently. I will however, fault you for returning to my inbox without having read all of the material I just provided you with.
And trust me, I will know, if you return without educating yourself. I will know. I can always tell.
It's all there. In fact, even more is there, if you would be so gracious to spend your time looking up the Palestine-Israel conflict online. Everything is explained very clearly and very quickly.
And again.
If you're unsure of what side you should be on, then please remember that trump supporters and extremist christians support Israel. That should tell you most of all you need to know.
(just FYI, all of these and more can be found by searching "Palestine" on my blog).

Hii omg I’m soooo sorry!!
I was the one who sent the
“ Hello I’m very new to this and idk if u do for polyamorous but can I request for yandere matt x reader x mello? (Death note)“
I meant both of them Yandere mello and yandere Matt my apologies I thought I followed you but I didn’t and I tried to find you but I never did till now . I’m so sorry for making you wait for so long !!
My GLORIOUS return to this blog will be through Death Note and this specific ask! ANON COME BACK!!! I FINALLY WROTE THE THING FOR YOU!!!
This will have more mature topics because...yandere. Duh.
Warnings: Mentions of stalking, murder, social isolation, shitty bosses and coworkers and reader doesn't get with Matt and Mello at the end..romantically. Reader's gender and pronouns are not mentioned. So a reminder that the target audience is masc-leaning folks.
It got worse though. Soon people started to avoid you everywhere you went. Friends you've made stopped talking to you, family members made excuses to avoid you, your coworkers didn't invite you out anymore and even the baristas you talk to when you get you drink before work are nervous around you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You felt like you were being watched. You can't explain it and it's frustrating. But everywhere you went it was like you were followed. Someone was always behind you but just out of sight. A person just barely out of arm's reach, keeping tabs on you.
It all came to head one evening. You had a particularly rough work week. Some new hire was resisting you during training and your boss was taking it out on you. You've only been awake long enough to make yourself breakfast when loud and pounding knocks sounded against your apartment door. You quickly went to answer it and saw a couple of police officers standing there.
With a quick explanation you learned the gruesome reason why. Your boss and the new trainee were found murdered at the entrance of your workplace. Your boss's neck was slit and her arms were bent in horrible ways. The most sickening things were her legs. They were cut from her body and filleted. The muscle and fat were carefully cut from her bones.
The trainee was found in a similar way. His neck was snapped and his head was at an odd angle. But his arms were cut from his body instead of his legs. Similar though they got the same treatment as your boss's legs. Filleted perfectly.
Only a warning note was left behind. And your name was mentioned in the note. There was no security footage, no clue and nothing that could be sent to forensics. Thank God your apartment building has security around the perimeter. You were cleared of any potential charges. But at the cost of your social life.
Right at the height of your loneliness you met them. Two guys, a blonde and his dark red haired friend. The red head was nicer to you but the blonde was attentive. They very quickly inserted themselves into your life. You didn't mind it at first, being alone and isolated for weeks left you feeling...vulnerable.
Honestly you were hoping that with the two talking to you others would follow. Yet it seemed like only the two, Matt and Mello as you learned, were the only ones you interacted with. Something about it was unsettling. Unnatural. But you still hung out with them. Fearing the isolation again.
There's nothing worse than being alone with no one by your side. For now.
If a continuations is wanted....I'd be open to it. Post typical yandere shenanigans. Like kidnapping and gaslighting.
My issues with this post:
Tumblr media
[Image ID: Tumblr post by @/Correllian with a picture of a blue gradient with white text that says "It's not neurotypical or neurodivergent. It's vanilla or neurospicy." The caption says "Why be plain, when you can be spicy? 'normal' is overrated and boring." The post has 0 notes. /.End ID]
Note: I wrote this post intending for it to be a reblog, but upon viewing the rest of the contents of the profile I decided I did not want to engage with the blog's owner since the "facebook republican" vibe was extremely strong, and I do not want to argue with this person. My goal with the post is to educate, and I do not see that being productive with this person. If that seems like a stupid reason to screenshot instead of reblogging, or rude, let me know and I will repost as a reblog. But for the time being iIwould like to avoid engaging with the blog's owner and simply talk about this specific post.
***
I keep seeing this come up in my feed and ive been mostly ignoring it bc it makes me slightly uncomfortable but then i saw it had 0 notes which either means im the only one seeing it or the people seeing it also feel the same way i do (maybe??)
Anyway it's not even a big deal TBH but here's why I don't really like this, I'm not trying to be insulting or anything I just want to be informative and LITERALLY this is not important enough of a problem to warrant the quantity of words I'll be using, but that's just how I am. Sorry.
First of all, the neurodivergent/typical label first came from a journalist who wanted to acknowledge that not every condition is a disorder and that there are natural variations in how peoples' brains work. So, to refer to ADHD and autism as "neurodivergent" rather than "broken" or "disordered", with the goal of putting into perspective that you, as a person, are not broken or that there is "something wrong with you" just because you are autistic or ADHD.
It's popular now, but neurodiversity labels haven't been in widespread use for very long despite being coined in 1998 by Harvey Blume. A lot of the push for neurodiversity labels came from the autistic community and so it's kind of a victory of sorts to be able to use them instead of referring to people as "normal" vs "autistic/ADHD", since categorizing people into "normal" and "other" boxes naturally creates a sense of otherness, both in the minds of people on the neurodivergent side and the neurotypical side.
In addition to confronting this issue, the neurodivergent labels are also just, more accurate? There isn't really even a definition of what "normal" means, and it implies the absence of problems altogether which we know is not true because nearly everyone in the world experiences some kind of mental or physical problem, of varying severities. It could be depression, it could be an allergy, it could be a disability beyond depression.
The word Neurotypical on the other hand is targeted specifically to the brain (Neuro) and rather than using a vague term like normal, uses the term Typical. We as a society generally use the word Typical interchangeably with normal, but specifically usually as a way to describe someone who fits the characteristic of whatever group they are in, or someone's actions that fit the characteristics of their other actions. Essentially, to describe someone or something that is consistent with a "type".
"Sweating and increased heart rate are typical experiences for those engaging in intense physical exercise."
"Sarah is always late to things! She isn't here at the party yet, and it started two hours ago. How typical of her."
Therefore, Neurotypical specifically refers to either people or behaviors that are consistent with the most common set of neurological conditions and behaviors, or with the most common neurotype.
Neurodivergent simply means anyone who deviates from this neurotype, which is why it's a blanket term for autism and ADHD. It could also be expanded to include other neurotypes as well, although I'm not familiar with them all, if there are any.
The first problem I have with this comment about ditching Neurotypical/Neurodivergent for Vanilla/Neurospicy is that people in the autism community are quite divided on whether neurospicy is a further-stigmatizing or infantalizing alteration to neurodivergent. One discussion of why can be found in this tik tok here. (It's like 10 seconds long). Although there is a pretty large group of neurodivergents who are OK with and even enjoy the use of Neurospicy, it seems that there is an equally large group of neurodivergents that are not and do not.
I am included in that second group, but my roommate is in the former. As long as she does not use neurospicy as a term to describe me, I do not mind if she jokes about it for herself! However, this post states in a very matter-of-fact tone typical of facebook posts that not only should vanilla/neurospicy be used, but that neurotypical/neurodivergent should not be used. The text in this image goes out of its way to invalidate existing, widely used labels in favor of ones that many see as stigmatizing or infantalizing. Both of which are huge problems for the ADHD/Autism community, especially the latter group due to developmental delay associated with autism. The societal attitude surrounding this word is similar to the reaction to "Is he acoustic" which for some autistics is a funny joke, but objectively still causes harm because of the way it is weaponized by neurotypicals to make fun of autistic traits and autistics in general by posting the audio or cracking the joke whenever someone does something "weird" or unexplainable. I've even seen acoustic used to describe an object that has stopped working properly (broken = autistic). Neurospicy is, although much less frequently, used in a similar way by neurotypicals to make jokes about autistics in ways that are not always respectful and can be harmful.
The text in the post itself goes even further to say "'normal' is overrated and boring." The word Normal is not used prior to this in the post, but by context it seems to refer to the neurotypicall/neurodivergent labels as "normal" labels and is saying that they are overrated and boring, and that using Neurospicy instead is different and therefore good.
The second problem I have with this post is the use of the word Vanilla. This one is much more of a subjective problem, since different people will gather different things from seeing this word based on what kind of content they regularly interact with. Personally, when I see the word vanilla it usually makes me think of ice cream or Minecraft mods, but in this post it's used right alongside the word "spicy" and normally the only place we see those two words used together in the same context is in the kink/bdsm community. As someone who used to be aspec and still resonates with those experiences, the idea of associating my neurological identity in any way with sexual activity or kink is extremely disturbing. This one is much, much less likely to be intentional, but I wanted to include it simply for complete honesty.
All this together, just causes this post to make me mildly uncomfortable, which is why I've declined to interact with it so far and have scrolled past it mostly. While I don't disparage the use of the words "vanilla/neurospicy" for people to describe themselves if they are comfortable with it, I find the notion of demanding, intentionally or not, that everyone use them and that our chosen labels be taken away from us to be very frustrating and uncomfortable.
I am aware that these effects are likely completely unintended, and once again I am really not trying to make a big deal out of it. My goal is simply to explain why this post has made me somewhat uncomfortable and may do the same to other people.
Hello! I saw your rant post and I wanted to ask if we could get the context behind it? It seems kinda out of nowhere and I saw the tag list on tumblr and didn't saw anything negative towards any character. I also just want to know to avoid this person, I really don't want to interact with toxic people ://
Thank you for your answer
hello anon!
i hope you are doing well ᓚᘏᗢ
first and foremost, i won't be naming any names here. yes, my post was vague, and that was the point of it. because the truth of the matter is that no matter the fandom, this sort of behaviour is evident in all of them and i was calling it all out. identifying the people directly can cause more harm than good, and it is not my intention to victimize anyone.
it just so happened that recent events regarding a specific community pissed me off to no end this time round, and it was a long time coming.
in a way i am glad that you have not seen anything yourself from specific tags and the community, but the reality is that people who choose to target a set group or a set character and don't want blowback from it wont tag their posts to make them easily accessible. however, if you interact with enough blogs, basically the '6 degrees of separation' rule comes into affect, where blogs that interact with that fandom start to link to each other and you unfortunately will end up with a blog that doesnt align with your taste or morals on your feed and you get an unhealthy dose of toxicity from it
this happens on all forms of social media; where i have been seeing this kind of activity is more so on twitter, but it has happened here on tumblr too.
i do want to stress that when i do see this kind of toxicity i do block/mute them from my feed so i dont have to see it, but it doesnt stop it from existing. and then seeing how it affects the people around me because unfortunately its not so easy for them to get away from it, it just hurts me deeply
if you know my blog well enough, you know i am a massive fan of OLBA currently, and thats typically what i post, amongst other fandom stuff that interests me, however its typically OLBA.
the OL series is all about acceptance and understanding and openness with one another. discrimination, bullying, anything like that doesnt exist in the story and shouldnt exist in the fandom either.
its unfortunate to see that regardless of the type of community it should be, that negativity and toxicity exists regardless. as some one as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, i have unfortunately seen comments that are against what the community stands for. i have seen commentary that is essentially bullying of one account or a collective for the sort of content they produce. hyprocritical comments, calling out someone for their content but going ahead and making that content themselves.
if you have not seen this sort of activity, im grateful for it. truly, its not nice to see this kind of stuff, and if you do, blocking and muting it is the best option to avoid them and keep to the healthier side of the fandom
please note, this blog will always be an open blog, other than calling out this poor behaviour, the entire purpose of this blog is to be positive!
to share fics and and art and headcannons and thoughts about all characters in the fandom i am a part of, because i am trying to share the love i have for the series with others and have great discussions around them
i know this was a vague answer anon, but i hope you understand the reasoning behind why and wish you all the best
your friendly neighborhood kaiju,
ᓚᘏᗢ
hi benji! what are two songs that remind you of kames and why? :)
IM ACTUALLY SO GLAD YOU ASKED OMG I LITERALLY HAVE A WHOLE PLAYLIST OF SONGS THAT REMIND ME OF KAMES HEHEHEHEHE
but lemme break it down to probably the two most integral songs that i associate with kames!
the first song is definitely parallel by heffron drive. i feel that's a song that could be sung from either james' or kendall's pov and it holds a lot of sentimental value for me being that it's the name of my first ever kames fanfic! there's a specific line that makes me think about the relationships they've pursued in the big time rush series and how bizarre and nonsensical they've been. it seems their relationships with other girls have caused more harm than good but yk plot armor and poor writing paired them with lucy and jo indefinitely. it's the line "do we light up our hearts just to watch them burn?" that line really speaks to me and makes me think that maybe they're not giving up on these girls because they don't want to come to terms with the fact that their feelings are changing. they don't want to be alone, little did they know the person for them was a lot closer than they thought. i don't think any other characters in the show know each other better or care for each other more than kendall and james, so parallel is easily my #1!
the second song is pink by waterparks. i remember when my friend @powerfule got me to listen to it for the first time and i instantly felt a connection. it was giving a "pining for a comphet guy" kinda scenario cuz from a surface level pov i think anyone would assume james was straight due to how effortlessly he charms the pants off of most girls he meets. kendall would especially believe that his feelings are exclusively one-sided based on the line "it's not fun when i find out you're playing for the other team". this song in particular solidifies (at least in my mind) that james is "one of his favorite few" and as such is looked upon in a certain light. this song is a little more angsty in comparison parallel, but i think that's why i like comparing waterparks songs to the kames dynamic. their relationship is not all sunshine and rainbows. there is a stark contrast between how kendall and james express their love. despite his avoidant attachment style, kendall wears his heart on his sleeve. i'm certain he craves commitment and stability despite being afraid of it. james however goes from one fling to the next and doesn't feel the need to plant any roots. he doesn't need constant reassurance or stability except for when it comes to kendall. his direct wants and desires are usually targeted or communicated to kendall as seen in episodes like big time audition or big time tests.
tysm for asking this btw! i really enjoyed breaking this down and it kinda inspired me to write a blog abt my kames playlist so hopefully that's smth i do in the future :)
i don't hate gay people, i am a gay person and i.love gay people. i didn't smear her, i rightfully called her out on her transphobia, because people need to know she (and you) align yourself with those who smear people like me as pedophiles and rapists.
For context: https://www.tumblr.com/butch-reidentified/719311495708753921/pajrc1234-blocked-me-before-even-commenting-that I'm not sure why you sent this anon; i thought at first that maybe @pajrc1234 is a side blog but its the one you replied on? In any case, since my message to YOU was off anon and you used "I" to address yourself, for transparency I'm keeping your information here.
Hey, i'm really angry about this but I'm holding myself back from being mean and sarcastic to make a point.
The whataboutism? Stops fucking here. There ARE issues in the gay community. There ARE issues with lesbophobia, misogyny, there is petty drama, there is stupid bullshit, there is every conceivable kind of human flaw and foible to be found in human beings under the LGBT umbrella. Do you know why that is? Its because we're human beings, with all the variety that that entails.
That means that, for a community to still be able to come together, we need to recognize we'll bruise some elbows and even come across Genuine Bad Actors in all areas of life. We deserve to look out for OTHERS in our community by calling out behavior - BEHAVIOR - itself that is harmful.
What that does NOT MEAN. Is that you start a witch hunt, targeting almost EXCLUSIVELY same-sex attracted woman. for THINKING or ASSOCIATING with the "wrong" ideas or people.
Do you notice what I did there? Do you recognize theres a difference between "BEHAVIOR" and "THINKING"? or even "CRITIQUING"? Because I don't know that you do! And i don't know if a lot of the loudest voices in "queer activism" these days knows that either. Because it seems to me its pretty clear the people who are actually COMMITING the hate crimes that target gay people (uhhhh including trans women, because thats the only demographic anyone wants to talk about when they go into a lesbians inbox), are NOT people IN the community sharing tragic and traumatic events from their own lives.
Lesbians are members of the LGBT Community. Lesbians have a RIGHT to to be here, and we have a RIGHT to discus the things that are hurting us, same as anyone else.
What you DON'T have a right to do, is police the lived experiences of lesbians on the internet or otherwise, to play out your own victim complex. If YOU BELIEVE that eeeeveryone is out to get you, and that SOMEHOW the worst participants are lesbians on tumblr, I need you to know that is pathetic of you.
Women to start with - Cis women even, if you want to be specific - have the lowest possible numbers for violence. Cis women have the lowest numbers for supporting conservative ideas - by voting records! We have that data. Add on top of that, lesbians are a TINY minority of all cis women. So, a minority of a population that is more frequently targeted for violence is SO SCARY to you, that you HAVE to defensively smear their name before they can get you?
Grow the fuck up. I don't actually believe you're "afraid" of violence from lesbian women. I think you just found a way to be a bully and have your victim cake too. Women aren't required to be extra special niceys to you, the only thing we have to do is survive amidst the other factors that make that difficult, and honestly if you have to turn any attempt at LGBT healing into "But what if you maybe someday possibly align yourself with my actual enemies?!" I think you're a wuss. If you actually cared about chasing out bad actors and right wing extremists, you wouldn't go after the demographic that is the LEAST likely to vote republican.
You don't go after the real enemies, because you KNOW that men are more likely to be violent and abusive and harass you and do all the things that you accuse "TERF"s of doing. You're more afraid of them than you are willing to face the problem, and women are an easy target to you because of that. That is the definition of a coward. Hell, that's probably what got you so mad! @butch-reidentified was in a horrifying situation and survived, WHILE helping someone else, and it triggered you so badly you just dug deep into your ugly woman-hating soul to immediately slander her name and make it about YOU.
You. Are. Pathetic. Get better or shut up.
hi! first of all i want to tell you that your page is very fun to read, thank you for it! but… i sometimes (really often) see things that makes me sad and even somehow guilty?? i don't really care about Gaz, and i like Konig. and i was pretty ok with it, until i started to see your posts that everyone who doesn't like Gaz and likes Konig is racist???? like, why??? i can understand why people like Gaz, but he just seems plane to me? and that's all. he is just not my type??? and Konig, though he is just an operator in multiplayer and has a very little backstory, i still love it and his accent very much. i have a very long list of black crushes male and female. but i just don't like Gaz. and when i make things that i like i include characters that i like and don't include those who i don't??? i just don't call them 141 if i include Konig and don't Gaz. if i want to make 141, Gaz is always there, because he is a part, even if i don't care about him. and your statements really makes me sad and upset about myself, though i'm old enough to understand that i have my right to like and don't like who i want. sorry for my long ass essay in a bad English. please don't hate me?? p.s. you are very pretty :c
Okay, I'm sorry but can you tell me exactly when did I say that anyone who doesn't like Kyle is racist? I specifically mention in whatever post I make regarding people leaving Gaz out of 141 that many have weird, racist undertones, I never said that if you don't like Kyle as a character, you have to be racist.
You can like/write/consume whatever on earth you want, love, I'm not a babysitter nor I own the freaking games. I'm a fan in this fandom and a gamer who loves this franchise therefore I am ALLOWED to express my opinion/thoughts/likes and dislikes regarding said fandom in my own blog.
You can build KĂśnig a tall ass statue and make sacrifices to his name, darling that's your right! You like him as a character and that's cool, you're allowed to like whoever you want and dislike whoever you want, I ain't gonna burn your phone for not liking Kyle nor call YOU specifically racist for not liking him as a character, though, frankly, it doesn't make sense at all but again that's a me thing.
However, noticing how fucking racist this fandom is for having a pattern of excluding the only black character from his own content and replace him with a white man that has nothing to do with it, even though Kyle is literally the main character then yeah I'm gonna call it out and no one will make me feel bad or wrong about it.
When real people get hurt, real poc get hurt by seeing the only person representing them being tossed to the side for literally no fucking reason then I'm sorry but I don't really care if my dislike towards an irrelevant mf is such a discomfort to you or anyone else.
Because me not liking KĂśnig or calling out a collective of bad behaviour in a fandom does not affect you at all if you simply click the 'x' next to my post.
I understand the annoyance of seeing people disliking a character that you like but you can literally unfollow/block etc cause if I were to get upset whenever some stranger online disliked my fav fictional characters, I'd end up in anger management or something.
Love, if my content or opinions make you sad for whatever reason (said reasons being about fictional characters and not real life issues which is what most of my Kyle defending posts are about) then put your mental health first and block me, I can promise you that's its okay to do it when you see something that you don't like!
However, with that being said, I will not change my opinions/criticism for anyone, I don't do it in real life with real people who I interact with and I will not do it on a silly lil tumblr blog when it comes to concerning issues such as racism that is very much present in the Call of Duty community.
My criticism is not for people who simply don't like a fictional character who happens to be black. My posts are very much targeted towards a very specific demographic and I really don't understand this but I respect your feelings and will very much encourage you to not follow this blog if it makes you upset, it's okay and understandable!!
With all that being said, never apologise for your English. Be proud that you speak more than one language! It's not my first language either:) Thank you for reaching out and explaining why you feel that way, I hope you the best, dear anon. Take care<3
Good morning. This is a formal message to let you know that you have been banned from our community. Several members have approached us with evidence from your blogs that you ship or tolerate Plantcest and we take a hard zero-tolerance stance against incest and those willing to engage with its themes for the safety and comfort of members within our group, including those that specifically mention no Plantcest in their rules. As the evidence includes screencaps and video proof of a Plantcest tagged post in your likes, this ban is not up for debate.
Frankly, i don't ship plantcest, and I have never written, reblogged or shared it. If it's in my liked history, then I don't know where you are looking. I would like to see the evidence, if one of the mods could contact me. If i'm wrong? Fair enough, I must have liked something without truly looking at the contents, but I would like to see the evidence that was submitted so I can at least have closure.
This is not me disputing this ban, simply wanting to understand.
This is immensely disappointing, but the comfort of others comes first. In the future, at least let people know upon the ban without leaving them in the dark for so long. Nobody contacted me, at all, nor spoke to me on any platform. If this is what you would consider fair moderation, I urge you to rethink these practices. You also sent the same copy pasta response to me and the legato / midvalley that joined recently.
the fact that you list evidence as 'posts I liked', not made, says a lot. I couldn't find any plantcest posts i've liked when going through, but I didn't get through over 3500 posts i've liked on one blog alone. Someone had to actively stalk through all my posts on my private blogs, meticulously searching for tags, to have this issue which makes me question why moderators are accepting this behaviour.
It seems like you are encouraging the possibility of targetted harassment on anyone for anything they've done in the past and with no real chance to defend yourself there is a lot of cause for concern. Cancelling people based on liked posts alone for a fictional ship that they don't even ship, who is an artist, and looks at artstyle and often not the contents of the post itself is a toxic way to moderate. Especially since not once was I rude to anybody in isola, asked to ship plantcest, shared, or encouraged incest. I have been nothing but kind, and have had nothing but good things to say to people.
Once again, I do not condone incest / incestuous ships.
I expected better communication from Isola Radiale to at least tell my side and defend myself fairly. But after several people coming forwards in my DMs and telling horror stories of being banned with no warning & reason, sometimes because of mod power trips and sometimes because someone was friends with the moderators, this behaviour no longer surprises me. Guilty until proven innocent seems to be the reoccuring theme, and I still haven't recieved any evidence to back up your claims.
I consider this ban a bullet dodged, as I have only invested a few days of interest.
Fandom communities never truly change, and for one ran by 7 people, there seems to be an awful lot of carefully hidden drama, elitism & gatekeeping- mainly because you shit talk about your own community members on twitter :)
To anybody considering joining Isola... I would advise against it. They can and will ban you without warning for minor infractions on your own personal accounts without trail nor jury. No matter what I could have said in this instance, I would have always been seen as guilty, and that in itself says everything you need to know about Isola Radiale.
Those are my parting words.
@isolaradiale.
Lily’s question box is closed so I cannot talk to them about my concerns and you are the main person engaging it it. You don’t seem to understand my words and maybe it is my translation error but speaking about hate will keep bringing it up and encourage anonymous to continue doing it. But if you ignore it they will get tired and leave. When Lily turned off anonymous last time you can tell that all the issues died down until recently because we keep doing the cycle of repeating. If we keep talking about the anonymous hate it will never end. So many other people like me are expressing our concerns on other blogs but no one is listening to us and the problem is still remaining. I am not telling you to block every anon only the rude ones so they will stop coming back to bother everyone. This is an upsetting issue in the community and I want you to understand that. An addition is that I am not blaming Lily. Only to see that they have an impressionable platform full of good followers and bad. If we keep putting this issue in front of them it will only create more problems for us and the community. Look at all bigger developers like zeekerss or Toby fox with how they are a solo creator but do not interact with the anonymous. This is why I am asking you to stop addressing the bad anons not the good ones who come to you with real opinion and questions like me. for an example ,why can we not try new things in the community? Hateful anonymous will never change but we can. We can shape the community and do better instead of circulating same problems over and over each time. I am sorry you have got racist words and I hope my English has not said anything bad. I do not want to be rude to you.
I won't unfollow you but I will stop reloading my home screen now. So if I do not respond again it is because I am gone for my real life priorities. Good morning once more and thank you for talking with me.
The issues don’t die down because Lily closed their ask box- other people were still receiving it whether they posted them or not. And they didn’t stop at all either when they turned off anon, people just continued to make side blogs and throwaways no matter how many times Lily blocked them. I just wasn’t targeted after shutting down a specific one that I should have admittedly blocked first and posted a screenshot of their ask just to collect the tumblr and put a faster stop to things. I’m the main person engaging because I’m open to actually talking with people and have gotten a majority of the asks all around.
I’m not misunderstanding your words- I do not believe that ignoring or not speaking out against hate does anything but encourage more people to do it and as someone who knows how aware the world was during 2016-2020 in the US- and even now with what’s happening currently in the world. I refuse to just ignore hate and let people get away with it. I encourage people to be mature adults, to better understand social environments as growing people and to reconsider how they approach things if their first reaction is to be hateful. It- more often than not- stems from underlining issues that need to be addressed and possibly helped through therapy, and I hope that people are able to get to a point where they’re better in their lives than they are now. I know it might seem impossible in the moment, but as someone how has personally grown through many hardships, it’s worth pressing on and figuring out who you really are under all your confusion and possibly misplaced feelings.
Trying to compare indie developers to people like Toby Fox(using him because I don’t know the other person listed)- who worked within the Homestuck community, which, btw and had one of the most toxic communities as noted by internet history and has first hand experience with a lot of this- doesn’t compare well. They have communities that are too big to handle and have been left to self regulation long before a fandom ever fully collected for Undertale. The most we can do as indie developers without a paid PR team and essentially having to do it ourselves and as creators with a bigger collections of followers is to steer people away from the same behaviors shown in those bigger communities and to encourage those in smaller pockets that are within the community to not stoop to those same levels and lows. It’s the most we can do if we’re going to have a community or fandom at all.
I know it’s an upsetting issue in the community, but that’s why we have to keep talking about it to discourage people from doing the same actions going further. Ignoring it doesn’t do anything but allow it to happen again. New people will continue to enter the community and possibly make the same mistakes in trying to send anon hate and there needs to be more of a precedent to shut that down and remove those sorts of people. You don’t get to have fun with us if this is how you’re going to act- essentially.
And I don’t think you’re being rude to me, I’m just sharing my perspective. Im gonna go to bed now, have a good rest of your day. 🫂
Saw someone say you support radqueers (trans abled/disabled RCTA/race change to another) stuff like that. Is this true? I don't really feel like scrolling through your entire blog to find out rn
I consider myself mostly neutral on many of these issues with a lot of nuance, but generally find myself leaning more towards "anti-anti" if that's a thing in this context. These labels encompass a lot, so I'm just going to focus on the examples you mention.
My own observation of the trace community is that it's primarily made up of PoC-bodied individuals, many of whom believe their identities may have been related to race-based trauma, and I classify most of the attacks against it as acts of lateral aggression. (This is usually justified by focusing on the relatively rarer, in my observation, White to POC transitions and pretending as if that makes up a majority of the trace community.)
I also find white "allies" targeting PoC-bodied individuals in the Trace community to be... deeply unsettling. Race is a social construct. More specifically, it's a social construct invented by a white majority to oppress others.
In general, I don't like seeing bullying of these groups, but there is something even more profoundly wrong about it when it's white people who are trying to police how PoC-bodied individuals are allowed to identify. Our ancestors made these boxes, forced people into the boxes to other them and justify countless abuses and atrocities. If people today want to step out of those boxes and define their own identities beyond what our ancestors defined... I don't think we should be fighting to keep them in those boxes.
To me, it feels like it's perpetuating the very same systems of oppression our ancestors designed and dressing it up as "anti-racism."
As for transabled stuff, the word was originally intended for people with BIID, which is a real disorder acknowledged by many doctors. Hate against these groups is just literal ableism.
And I believe an equivalent to BIID exists for mental illnesses too even though we haven't studied this yet, which is the other side of the transabled coin.
As an autistic person, I don't see any significant issue with transautistism or other mental trans-disabilities.
There may be some problems if they're going into disabled spaces and claiming to have the actual disability, but from what I've observed, this usually isn't the case. I don't know why people feel like they should have had a certain condition or feel connected to it, but I don't find it particularly harmful overall. It might actually be beneficial to others. I mean, transabled people will exist no matter what so it seems better to me for them to feel comfortable identifying as trans[disability] instead of directly claiming to have that disability.
I think there is a huge problem of marginalized communities targeting other marginalized communities because some people feel better being able to bully those with less power than them.
My life as an autistic person is never going to be negatively impacted in the slightest by people identifying as transautistic. If people want to fight against actual ableism spreading misinformation about autism, they could go after these mass media portrayals with millions of viewers.
But that's hard and doesn't give you the same rush of power as attacking someone with less influence than you. It's a power trip that doesn't actually benefit disabled communities.
If your activism is based mostly on going after smaller marginalized communities, taking out all your anger on them and blaming them for your problems, I would ask how that makes you any better than your oppressors.
