Pokemon I think Sparkplug would own: mudkip/marshtomp, gardevoir, breloom, togekiss, klingklang, silvally

Reasons:

Mudkip/marshtomp- right now the only axolotl pokemon gamefreak has made. Her first pokemon given to her by elita saying that "it reminded me of you".

Gardevoir- she was given ralts by ratchet as her partner pokemon to help her with medical duty. The closest to sparkplug, able to understand her feelings and emotions. Sometimes gets into fights with bots who are bad to sparkplug (like landfuck) and elita and megatron and winning

Breloom- the first pokemon sparkplug caught on her own. She caught him during a mission she was allowed on having saved shroomish from being killed by a pack of houndoom and houndour. Was often seen training with her to become stronger which resulted him to evolving. The second strongest and member in her team.

Togekiss- togepi was hatched was a egg she had found. Togepi quickly evolved into togetic beacuse of sparkplug's kindness and love for her. Accidentally evolved into togekiss because roddy gave her a shiny stone as a joke.

Shiny Klingklang- accidentally got inside the autobot base without anyone noticing and decided to stay there. It usually wanders the autobot base during the night where sparkplug had found it. The chillest of the team and often the one trying to stop gardevoir from fighting someone for the eighth time this month.

Silvally- the strongest member of the team. Sparkplug had found it wandering outside the base and decided to check it out. A fight ensured and sparkplug won gained its loyalty. Was the only pokemon with her during her stay with the DJD and hated it hated how much it changed sparkplug, hated how so far away from home they were, hated the DJD. It stayed strong for sparkplug and her siblings and never left her side, especially around the members of the DJD.

What would the travelers Pokémon teams be?

I can totally see Alfyn having a Blissey. Therion seems like he’d have a Gengar, potentially.

ok. upon literally hours of deliberation and team building (i actually already had ones for the OT1 travelers but decided to revisit them and change a few picks) me and my bestie @snailcruncher have settled on some teams. i will be going in depth on reasonings for these so prepare for a long post lol. im gonna put it under a readmore because really im not joking about how long it is

we also came up with some ideas/lore for why some of these would be picked in a pokemon AU setting, so i’ll be explaining any of those thoughts if they’re relevant too.

Ophilia:

one of the only teams left untouched, I think this is a good batch for her. i’m imagining a scenario where the sacred flame takes the form of a pokemon, and it’s a lampent. frosmoth and togetic felt just like… the right vibe. Lapras and Ampharos both have associations with guiding, so they’re in. Audino is a notable healing pokemon, and it feels in line with her personality as well.

Cyrus:

Alakazam for mr high iq smart guy. duh. oranguru for his role as a teacher, and Runerigus would be a late acquisition to his team in his ch4. Flareon, Glaceon, and Jolteon for the 3 scholar spell types. i also think him having 3 eeveelutions could also be kind of like, they’re really good for demonstrations for single-type stuff, as well as being popular with others. people might come up to him and be like omg you have a flareon i love flareon pleaseeee tell me more (flirtily) which of course would go over his head and he would start telling you flareon facts. I feel like Cyrus would excel in double battles.

Tressa:

Meowth: the pay day signature pokemon. this is as close as i can replicate to tressa randomly finding money. Skwovet (she can now take her pet squirrel with her in a pokeball)

Gyrados for sure. one, she lives along an ocean, so she should definitely have a water type, two, i’m imagining a scenario where she buys a magikarp cheap, seeing the potential in it, then raises it into a real powerhouse. just like her!

carbink: really funny scenario me and the bestie came up with that instead of eldrite the treasure was diancieite. the carbink is from the same cave. tressa did try to evolve it with the diancieite. it didn’t work.

pidgeot… felt like she needed a flying type (wind magic rep) and i feel like she’d gravitate to the humbler normal types… doesn’t get much more straightforward than pidgeot. Dhelmise… maybe it used to be captain leons, maybe she fished it out of the harbor in rippletide herself. either way, she thinks it’s cool

Olberic:

Aegislash: sword form, shield form…. this pokemon itself is the unbending blade. obviously i have given him several other sword based pokemon, too.

gallade, escavalier, and sirfetch’d badically all fit this. they’re knight-like, so they feel fitting i think to him.

as for conkeldurr and garganacl, they feel kind of… solidly built. like him. ( ⬇️ garganacl pick lore)

Primrose:

almost all of her pokemon can learn some kind of dance though their level up. Oricorio is the obvious choice, dragonair reps dragon dance, beautifly reps quiver dance, and lilligant… well they can learn so fucking many. we couldn’t decide on which one to give her, so we ended up giving her both. they’re her backup dancers or whatever.

mawile just feels very primrose to me. its cute or pretty or whatever, and you might underestimate it… but watch out. it bites.

Alfyn:

he feels like a guy who loves a big fluffy dog. and stoutland has also been used in games for its ability to sniff out items, so it feels like it’d be a good pick for an apothecary looking to sniff out herbs and such. Comfey is an obvious pick, i mean its signature move is. floral healing. meganium also has mentioned in its dex entries its healing and calming properties. it’s also a cool as fuck dinosaur so i think alfyn would like it.

chatot. does this even need explanation

we also wanted to give him an ice type, and settled on cubchoo. it has a perpetually runny nose… even Alfyn can’t fix it, try as he might.

as for leavanny, we had some trouble picking the last slot on this team. we were looking through friendship evos, and leavanny caught my eye. it’s dex entries mention that it’s very gentle, it also shows no mercy to foes who target young pokemon. seems fitting… we decided alfyn got it as a swadloon (maybe it could be taught to use its sewing abilities to dress wounds?) and it evolved during his ch3.

Therion:

I think Krookodile, mimikyu, and klefki are quite obvious picks, so i won’t go too in on them. Ninjask and Shedinja…. Ninjask is super speedy, so it felt right to give one to therion, but also i feel like.. he’d keep the shedinja around. even with 1 hp and one billion weaknesses… it’s still a part of his team. it and ninjask were born from the same nincada. he couldn’t abandon it like that.

and applin lol. something about therion gives me “guy who’s going for a cool as fuck hydrapple and ends up with an appletun actually”

H’aanit:

If anyone’s allowed to have legendaries, it’s the hunters. Chien-pao is as close as we can get to a snow leopard. and yeah maybe it’s a little evil but H’aanit is built different. Decidueye feels like an obvious pick, and spirit shackle is a great signature move for the h’aanit vibe. trapinch for. leghold trap. kilowattrel is literally a thunderbird. and ariados… well, it has the ability sniper, to reference hunter’s crit boosting abilities, as well as having some trapping moves like webs. for the Hunters, I’ve left their last spot blank, but this just means like, a “flex” spot that would be different each time you battled them. H’aanits got boxes of options to choose from.

now, onto the OT2 ones!

Ochette:

I’m sure you can see what i’m going for here. it’s just the closest i could get to Akala/mahina and her 3 story beasts. and again, like H’aanit, the last spot is “flex” not empty, so imagine her bringing some different new bullshit to every battle.

Cassti:

i wanted to do a few things with Castti: obviously, give her some healing-y mons, but also a few oddball picks that might have you looking twice. picked Shiinotic because of its ominous dex entries, and then. toedscruel because i realize shiinotic actuallt doesn’t get spore i think? and i think castti “put em to sleep right in the street” florenz should have a mon with spore. (edit. i actually just cant read the bulbapedia tables and shiinotic does get spore. anyways she gets two spore mons i guess cuz what if she’s gotta knock out two people at the same time. or whatever. dustox emits toxic powder from its wings, which seems like it could be something castti would want to keep on hand for poison axe. these three might seem a little weird tho, and reinforce her bad first impression in canalbrine, even though i’m sure they’d all be very well behaved and nice. Blissey and Arboliva are straightforward healing picks. I feel like these would be common for apothecaries to have in general.

and then galar-slowking. poison-activated brain nonsense. i feel like she acquires this one post-amnesia. they feel a kinship with each other.

Throné

Throné’s team is half-blacksnakes dedicated, half catered to herself. Every blacksnake has a seviper or an ekans, as well as probably most of them also having other grunt-esque pokemon, like zubats and such. throné’s taken care of hers, though, and friendship evolved it into a crobat.

chose furfrou because i think throné would like a prissy little dog she can dress up cutely. milcery, which she’s waiting on evolving until she can figure out what alcremie form she wants, and a shade-cherrim.

oh, and zangoose, of course. the natural enemy of sevipers. one appeared to her right after she left new delsta. what a sign, right?

Osvald:

Osvald we had some interesting stuff to work with, I think. we decided that most of his pokemon were newly acquired after his prison escape- not on purpose. they seem to just take a liking to him and start following him around.

the avalugg helped get him out of the frozen water at cape cold, and then stuck with him.

the teddiursa.. also just stuck with him. we wanted to give him something that felt a little oddball for him… so this doesn’t evolve. it stays cute and unevolved forever.

the shuppet was found hovering around the ruins of Osvald’s house. he was reluctant to take it, but if it was formed out of some semblance of his desire for vengeance… he has to be responsible for it.

the Indeedee is the only one of osvalds old pokemon, out of this lineup. since indeedee are so helpful to people, it was kind of a family pokemon acquired after elena’s birth (dex mentions they’re good at babysitting.) Osvald could probably also trust it with simple lab assistant tasks like moving stuff around. was a very beloved pokemon within their family. anyways, following his sentencing, clarissa managed to get ahold of the indeedee and took care of it all this time. when osvald returns, it’s clear it wants him to take her with him.

the drampa was acquired after the events of montwise, having shown up and basically just forced itself to go with osvald. somehow it seems to know what’s going on and who it can trust…

and slowking.. well, smart guy needs a smart pokemon. it’s another one that took a shine to him, though at that point he was getting used to this happening.

Partitio:

Talonflame: partitio’s aptitude for fire magic and the “chickadee” nickname made this an obvious choice for an ace. I can imagine a young partitio’s first pokemon being a fletchling, for sure.

bramblegast. the funny tumbleweed. put it on the team immediately.

Milotic: Paritio picked up a feebas. having a knack for seeing the potential in pokemon, he wasn’t wrong, and now hes got this thing. it’s very popular with other people, though it seems an odd pick for partito at first glance to strangers.

armarouge: ok this one’s a little convoluted so i will explain it later. kind of vibes based pick tho lol. revavroom kind of. uhh. steam engine. (we can pretend)

there ain’t a more partitio pokemon out there than gholdengo. everyone say thank you scarvi for giving partitio most of his team.

Agnea:

hey, it’s another oricorio! i think you can guess why.

volcarona: learns fiery dance, but we thought up even more lore on this one. the larvesta was a family pokemon. mostly belonging to Garud (we ended up deciding that the Bristarnis had a lot of bug types, who help out with the sewing stuff and larvesta does give a little bit silkworm, lol..)

anyways, part of his blessing for sending agnea off was telling her to take the larvesta, who also turned out to be a dazzling star in the end too… after a lot of hard work.

altaria and leafeon rep dragon and swords dance. i just feel like they’re good picks for her energy, too. lunatone reps the moonstep. I’ve also opted to give her a sunny cherrim, which i think would be cute contrasted with Throné’s gloomy one.

Temenos:

temenos has quite the oddball lineup for a cleric. but hes kind of an oddball cleric so i think it works.

Absol. man. a lot of shit happens to temenos. this absol is stressed tf out 24 fucking 7. sorry man.

Clefable: felt like we had to give him a healer-adjacent pokemon and this one evolves with a moonstone. feels fitting for mr night-ability mistral tbh.

Lokix. alright. another scenario based pick. Temenos caught this thing on the pilgrims way as a nymble at like level 2. probably rustling in the metaphorical tall grass, crick is all “get behind me, it could be dangerous” and then. lvl 2. nymble. doesn’t even need to be fought to be caught. and then temenos is all hey crick, it’s a “crick”et pokemon! (we’ll ignore that the dex says grasshopper) he’d keep it just to mess with crick, but it ends up sticking around.

Houndoom. well, temenos is the pontiff’s hound, so we did need to pick a dog for him. it’s a houndour in the beginning, houndoom by the end. probably evolved in a moment of crisis (in ch4?) the yamask is from crackridge.

wooloo. this is actually Crick’s. it wasn’t helping with the little lamb allegations… after the events of stormhail, Temenos takes it in.

Hikari:

Kingambit: i mean. come on. gotta get a kingambit for the future king.

Gardevoirs dex entire mention that it is dedicated to its trainer/cause to the bitter end, and would do anything to protect it. perfect for Hikari.

Morpeko and Zweilous. some literally two-faced pokemon. (maybe he feels a little bit of a kinship with them in that way) i also really wanted to give Hikari a pseudo-legendary, and i think that his zweilous would probably evolve just in the nick of time to kick some ass against mugen. Hydreigons might be notoriously destructive, but something about the personalities merging into one brain in evolution seems to have mellowed Hikari’s out. it’s remarkably personable, for a hydreigon.

lucario: i really wanted to give him a pokemon that learns copycat, and lucario fits that bill. plus, he definitely needed a fighting type.

Cerudelge: formed from bitterness of old cursed armor, but also an extremely skilled sword fighter… one of hikari’s aces.

I also like to imagine that a lot of hikari’s pokemon are quite difficult to deal with (his ceruledge in particular is quite belligerent and mean) but they all have utmost respect for him as a trainer, once they’re on the battlefield. but onlookers sometimes worry… how the hell does he deal with it all?

other notes about some of the picks :

Partitio’s amarouge. Paritio picked up a. charcadet later on, and hikari personally warned him that it might be difficult to deal with. (his charcadet and later ceruledge were super hard to train for him) of course, partitio did end up in possession of the cool nice armor that evolved it into the better mannered and nobler armarouge… but honestly, even his charcadet was far better behaved.

paritio and tressa both get those shitty fish that get cool. must be because they both have an eye for a diamond in the rough.

agnea and throné’s cherrims are best friends. throné rarely got to see her cherrim sunny-form until she left new delsta… she wonders if maybe it was upset about being so nocturnal before, with the blacksnakes.

castti and osvald, team mom and team dad somehow both ended up with slowkings. everyone’s a little concerned about castti’s, though…

after the events of his story, Osvald leaves indeedee and teddiursa with clarissa and elena. the teddiursa and elena in particular take to each other very well… when osvald finally is able to return to elena’s life, the teddiursa is really much more her pokemon.

also. H’aanit and Ochette and far and away the best battlers of both groups. i know i only have them with one flex spot, but you can imagine that they’d swap out a lot more for whatever they need to do to build a good team. they’ve got loads more options than everyone else.

you know that thing about giving someone an applin in galar? therion did trade it over to alfyn at one point. but really they have joint custody of that thing. which definitely ended up as an appletun.

we also had some npc aces sprinkled in there, so here’s some other thoughts, just as bonus!

Elena: Abra

Harvey: Hypno, Bacephalon

Pala: Kricketot (formerly belonged to her and agnea’s mom)

My Pokémon Advanced Series Rewrite — Togepi and the Mirage Kingdom

As of recent, i began thinking about the episodes “The Princess and the Togepi” and “A Togepi Mirage”. what I’ve been thinking regarding those two episodes is having this part of the story be like 3 episodes long. With the first episode being where things start off nice, then the second episode being where things get serious and finally the third episode being being where the big battle happens.

Having Tracey, Daisy, Violet and Lily joining Misty in heading to Hoenn.

Having Misty, Ash, Brock, May, Max, Tracey, Daisy, Violet and Lily be given a tour of the Mirage Kingdom Palace upon arrival.

Having Ash and Brock catching up with Misty and Tracey.

Having May and Max meet and know not just Misty and Tracey, but also Daisy, Violet and Lily.

Colonel Hansen’s pokemon being of not just the one Shedinja and two Ninjask, but a pair of shiny Dustox, a pair of Shiftry, and an Exploud as Hansen’s ace.

Having Team Rocket fight alongside Colonel Hansen in every battle against our heroes.

Having Team Rocket commit crimes against the crown and framing our heroes for it.

Having Tracey and the Sensational Sisters joining our heroes in the battles against Team Rocket and Colonel Hansen.

Having our heroes clear their names by battling Team Rocket and Colonel Hansen.

Having Tracey and the Sensational Sisters be present when Togepi, now evolved into Togetic, gives a heartfelt goodbye to Misty and parts ways with her.

Daisy comforting Misty, saying that as long as Misty remembers the adventures that Topegi had with Misty, Misty will always be Togetic’s mother (figure) and Misty will always remember Togetic.

Now please keep in mind that i just thought about all this earlier today, so I’ll need to think more about all this, like how will the three episodes will go, plot wise. But when i do come up with something, it’ll be posted, so stay tuned.

Ayo, poll time for a Heavy Medic drawing I will [hopefully] make during pride month.

I am already working on just a basic Red Oktoberfest drawing atm, but I also wanna do another one that's set in an AU / different setting. So...

[I'll explain each choice (and link to the AU / a specific drawing related to it) below the keep reading line]

DnD setting - More than likely, I would make something magic related. Like Medic dragging Heavy through a Dimension Door (even if Heavy technically wouldn't be able to go through it since he's bigger than Medic, but who cares), or Medic using Invoke Duplicity so Heavy's got two Medics [for a minute], or Medic using Cure Wounds through a kiss (yes, stole it from Critical Role: Age of Calamity 'cause that was a romantic af moment to witness), and so on.

TF2 x SU - This AU has me in a death grip I love it so much-- It'll either be of the two of them doing something as Andalusite (their fusion), or them spending time together while unfused. Maybe a screenshot redraw, maybe not, who knows? :]

TF2 x Beastars - It could be something more intense, or something more tender. Could be them experiencing the dangers of an herbivore and a carnivore being a couple, or them having fun in the city wearing more modern-ish clothing. Quite the gamble :)))

TF2 x PMD - Maybe a small comic of how Medic evolved from Togepi to Togetic due to Heavy (less than likely, 'cause I'm impatient af when it comes to drawing comics, even if it's a short comic), or some fluff of these two just being together, or the two of them fighting together / one of them protecting the other from a strong opponent (maybe a legendary pokemon).

Childhood Friends - Will be sort of a continuation of that drawing I did a while back of Medic and Heavy meeting eachother when they were really young. Could be them exploring the forest and maybe finding some critters together, or them trying to better communicate to eachother (since neither would be good at speaking english) by drawing pictures, or maybe the two of them giving eachother a haircut (Medic wanting his hair shorter, while Heavy wants it shaven really short) and messing up in some way. Just cute shit.

espurr - has a ton of psychic power they cant control, i feel like crystal would relate to, with her discovering her powers are more complicated than she thought

espeon - suggested by a couple of people on twitter!! espeons give off a mysterious and standoff-ish vibe thats similar to crystal

she was also the first one I drew and posted so she only has two pokemon Q_Q i want to give her more

Niko

shiinotic - i imagine niko found one of these bad boys while in the woods where she ran into the sprites. she's also got a mushroom themed green outfit in the time loop ep.

togetic - evolved from a togepi from high friendship, and i think friendship is what niko is all about. she has so much love to give! it feels fitting for her to have a friendship based pokemon!

whimsicott - they are mischievous prank loving annoying as hell pests of a pokemon (per their pokedex entries). i like them as representative of the sprites. someone said jumpluff instead but i disagree because jumpluffs aren't considered pests. i think edwin, charles, and crystal hate her whimsicott but niko loves to snuggle her <3

Charles

toxtricity - amped form cause that one gets natures similar to charles (If i had more time i would even map out the pokemon natures, abilities, and move sets they would each have. i played comp pokemon...) toxtricity is also music themed, and has know anger issues, so i think charles would relate to that

scraggy - scrappy little fighter!! also punk-ish. a little guy who gets bullied but will put up a fight. i think charles would love him and want to protect him.

hitmontop - little fighting dude. i like that hitmontop has steadfast ability (incr. speed after flinch), cause i interpret it as getting back up to keep on fighting and protecting those you love, even after getting your ass beat, which is how charles operates.

Edwin

rowlet - on god, this is purely cause of the bowtie. also i think rowlet would keep edwin company while he reads his books very late into the night.

mimikyu - a lonely pokemon who just wanted to be loved. HMMMM. edwin felt its pain and adopted it into his family.

sirfetch'd - suggested by some people on twitter, cause of the actor being a fencer. but also i think edwin would have a pokemon that would protect him, before he met charles.

polteageist - hes a fancy british boy. i know his ass drinks tea with the pinky out. i think he rescued the polteageist during one of their cases.

Bulk Ask Responses (December 2024)

Yeah, it's true that I could just skip the naming phase and name them based on their already named IPP counterparts. It just feels weird, even though you're right!

I haven't started Toedscool or Poltchageist's IPPs yet, so they probably won't be coming too soon. But maybe I will skip the unnamed phase and just name them Toedscull and Entitcha from the start.

I actually get a good amount of name suggestions (thanks, all!) so the delay is on me. For a few cases, I know I want to redo that Pokemon line, so I'm just waiting for redo before picking a name. But in general, it's in part me wanting to give everyone a good amount of time to suggest names, wanting to spread out the reblogs of IPP art so it's not too repetive on your dashes, and being indecisive on what name I'd like to go with. Then the biggest part is that I'm just busy and don't have much free time these days, so I usually don't spend my time in the evenings picking a name and doing the background art edit; I usually do them at work when I have some spare time!

But it's good to know there's a demand for more named IPPs, and I'll try to get through the list of unnamed ones sooner than later.

Thank you! It's crazy to think I've been doing this blog for almost 10 years. I often feel bad that I don't have the time to work on art as frequently as I used to, but in general every one here is very nice and encouraging, and I'm still very invested in the project! It's been interesting and cathartic to redo older works from years ago and see the improvement there, too.

Actually, Poipole/Naganadel hasn't gotten many requests! To be honest, this one hasn't been on my radar in a while. I fear how the head-to-lower-body transition will go. I did sliiightly start this one a while ago, I'll try to circle back to it before too long.

That's an interesting idea! I like Togepi's line as-is, but I could see Togetic evolving into something more elegant/regal.

When I was much younger I had this concept for a Fire Starter that started out as a bear-like mammal and then ended up dragon-like. I wanted it to be a very unexpected evolution, but in hindsight it was definitely too unexpected, haha. I think I would conceptualize a Fire Starter much differently now.

Absolutely love the Aspects au. All the angst surrounding poor Ingo, no matter where and when he is is such a treat.

But my ask!! The Togepi line is a friendship oriented one iirc. How would someone bonded to a Togepi look? I think you need an item to get to Togekiss, how do you think a bond would work if only one of the bonded wanted to go to Togekiss, and the other wanted to stay as a Togetic?

oohh togepi I can see maybe some funky hair to match togepi's spikes, maybe those hoof/paw like feet, maybe even some harder skin on their torso that's vagely shell like with those triangles? Potentially quite cute!

As for the evolution it is pretty common for one of the partners to evolve while the other does not. More often it's the human that doesn't really want to put in the work to evolve themselves and their partner can evolve without them. Vice versa as well.

Though it's equally as common for human and pokemon to want to stay at the same evolution as one another.

My Time at Sandrock: Pokemon Team (Bachelor Edition)

With Pokemon Indigo Disk being released I thought I might make a small Pokemon team for the bachelors and bachelorettes of the game; both will be posted separately and if anyone had other ideas as to what other Pokemon they would have don't hesitate to put them down. Buckle-up, this is a long one.

Arvio would probably have Pokemon that would have his energy, so the team I think he would have is an Scyther, Plusle, and Roserade; the trio especially would put up a performance to draw the attention of tourists over to By the Stairs. Scyther is based on the fact he uses dual weapons when MC spars, of course him and Amirah both would have the Plusle-Minum duo, and with Roserade I can see as his ace for various reasons; roses being a symbol of love while Arvio is a charmer being one of the big reasons.

Burgess is a kind-hearted pacifist and a devoter to the church, so to match his kindness I think his Pokemon team would be Togetic, Sylveon, and Blissey. Togetic's entry is that it only approaches those with a good heart, a top-perfect Pokemon, Sylveon would be his ace and its entry also says that it'll emit an aura that would erase hostility, and Blissey is a compassionate Pokemon that evolves through high friendship; I can definitely see Burgess raising it as a Happiny.

Ernest was a little tough, but I think he would have a Toxtricity (Amped form), Meowstic (Male ver.), and Alolan Persian. Both the Toxtricity and Meowstic, his ace, would match with his twin Luna, while the Alolan Persian is considered the symbol of wealth and it matches with his background.

Fang's team would definitely be Corviknight, Mimikyu, and Audino. Corviknight, his ace, is obviously based on his crow X, Mimikyu I can see Fang adopting from years back and Audino not only acts as his assistant but the Pokemon would also help soothe him when his PTSD would come around.

Justice was pretty easy as well, since he's for... well, justice, I picture him having noble and quite strong Pokemon; his team would Rapidash, Mabosstiff, and Pidgeot. Rapidash would definitely be based on his horse Truth, Mabosstiff, I can see as his ace, would be a Birthday gift from Vivi, and Pidgeot can be his eyes in the sky.

Logan was interesting to say the least, but I think he would have a team of Gogoat, Lucario, and Mightyena. Gogoat, his ace, is based on his companion Rambo, Lucario I see Logan adopting as a Riolu while on the first couple of weeks being on the run, and Mightyena while not only having canon hyena enemies in the game but one of its entries mentions that it obey only certain trainers that possess superior skill, which the Pokemon can see in him.

I admit I don't know much about Miguel, so it was a guessing game based on the wikia- with that I think his Pokemon team would be Luxray, Gallade, and Talonflame. His Pokemon team would match his calm and clever demeanor with Gallade as his ace.

With Owen working at the Blue Moon Saloon he would have at least a couple of Pokemon that would assist him, being Slurpuff, Centiskorch, and Indeedee (Male ver.). Slurpuff is a gift from his father when he first took over the saloon, each of Centiskorch's segmented body has coil-like heat that Owen can use whenever something happens to the oven, and of course he has an Indeedee to help wait tables before Grace came in. He probably won't have an ace since he believes all Pokemon are good Pokemon, but if I do give him one it would be Dusk Lycanroc.

Pablo's team would be Furfrou, Delcatty, and Smeargle. With Furfrou I can see Pablo having it as a guard Pokemon, Pablo's favorite trim would be the Heart trim, Delcatty is considered to have sublime fur which I think Pablo would love in a Pokemon, and Smeargle, his ace, matches with how Pablo is canonically an artist based on Arvio's questline.

Pen, of course, would have muscular and powerful Pokemon to match him in all aspect; so it would be no surprise that his team would have Palafin, Machamp, and Feraligatr. His aces are both Palafin and Machamp and he would be the trainer who would love double-battle.

Qi's team would be quite interesting, let me explain why: his team'll be Magnezone, Charjabug, and Minccino. Magnezone is his ace that he would have since back in Vega 5, Charjabug was a trade from Mint and refuses to evolve it when he finds out about Vikavolt, and Minccino it just happened to stumble upon his research center and saw it cleaning so he decided to keep it as a mini-assistant. Though I also imagine finding a Minior one night through a telescope and saw that it fell close to Sandrock premises and with the assistance of MC he kept it around as a memento.

And last but not least, Unsuur I can see as a Rock-type trainer only; his team would be Gigalith, Naclstack, and Graveler; Gigalith, his rockin' ace, being his gift from Justice when he became a Civil Corps memeber, and throughout his time caught the latter two- and eventually took in a Carbink that took an immediate liking to him and, of course, he named the little Carbink, Wilson.

Bojan: Togetic (it's a Pokémon that only the pure of heart can own and I'm 100% sure Bojan would be cocky about having one lmao) Dachsbun (it's based on a Daschund dog which Bojan has irl 💖💖) Roserade (I was gonna put Boltund here for the dogboy status Bojan has but a Roserade fits him sooo well and B is already associated with roses anyways) Altaria (Jigglypuff could work too since I went with a Pokémon known for its melodic voice but aesthetically Altaria fits better I think) Sylveon (an elegant cute looking Pokémon that is actually very powerful, the theme of Bojan's team is looking deceptive and to contradict Jere's more rough looking team) Quaxly (a Pokémon that puts a lot of effort into its appearance, specifically its hair haha)

Nace: Ursaluna (Nace is a teddy bear so he needs a bear Pokémon and aesthetic wise I think Ursaluna works the best for him) Forretress (it's a lame reason but this Pokémon on his team is supposed to represent how Nace eventually breaks out of his shell and becomes more confident within the band haha) Sentret (a Pokémon that's always looking out for danger, which Nace does by being attentive to his bandmates and their mental health) Cutiefly (a lill bug Pokémon that hovers around him at all times, he thinks it's cute so he caught it :3) Dondozo (a very large powerful Pokémon but who is mostly useful when paired with Tatsugiri👀) Turtwig (turtle Pokémon for Nace <3)

Jan: Metagross (crazy intelligent Pokémon, it's funny to imagine Jan with an absolute tank of a beast and being casual about it lol) Tatsugiri (another intelligent Pokémon that especially thrives when paired with Dondozo, Jance matching Pokémon moment teehee) Glimmora (why is this beeven sparklative??) Thievul (mischievous fox Mon, Jan vibes all over) Dhelmise (I think he'd be sooo fascinated with weird ghost type Pokémon, he needs one on his team) Omanyte (Jan somehow managed to revive a fossil Pokémon...Jan=BOG ☠)

Kris: Cinccino (a tidy Mon that likes things to be clean and in order :3) Mudsbray (absolute tank and hard working horse Pokémon) Espeon (an Eeveelution to match Bojan's, I think aesthetically Espeon is the best for Kris) Gallade (an elegant Pokémon to match an elegant man 🔥) Bunneary (Bojan gave it to him out of spite because this Mon is extremely hard to evolve, you need to have a very high friendship level with it. Kris is insistent on raising it) Feebas (for a while he was obsessed with evolving it into a Milotic but he's grown to appreciate it for what it is)

Jure: Sunflora (it looks like him) Rillaboom (drummer Mon!!) Skitty (obligatory cat Pokémon on the team) Littleo (baby lion Mon that I think fits his personality :3) Snorlax (evolution friendship, Pokémon that loves to eat and Jure loves to cook so the evolution went very fast) Stunfisk (I just knowww Jure loves pathetic little Pokémon that serve no purpose to his team whatsoever, he's their biggest fan lmao)

So uh, how'd you meet your other teammates?

I'm glad you asked!

Soooo. Let's start from the beginning. Coronet, my Milotic? She's not called that for no reason. I had the bright idea to leave home for the first time with my very small Gible and very small self and immediately go through Mt. Coronet.

Where I got lost. And fell into an underground lake. And a Gyarados tried to eat me. A Feebas distracted it so that I could escape, I bonked her with a ball on the way out so she wouldn't get quite literally eaten alive, and then she decided she wanted to stick around afterwards?

Let's see, honorable mention goes to Charybdis, a then-Shellos who ended up not liking battling as much as the rest of my team and I later traded to a close friend who was less enthusiastic about battling and had one mon who really, really was and kept switching the pokeballs well before we did that formally.

Both Charybdis and Rosaceae, who I met as a Budew, were fairly normal meetings as far as meetings went. My first assumption was that Charybdis was a shiny pokemon, actually, because I was used to East Sea Shellos and she was the first West Sea one I saw.

...And I really did think that Rosaceae was a plant until she started following me. She wanted a battle, I took her up on that, and then she just. Came along.

Rascal, a Riolu when I met him, I actually met at the same time as a friend of mine met his own Riolu. They both were dealing with a pathetic excuse for a trainer who was frustrated that his rare pokemon just wouldn't evolve, so he abandoned them both pretty much right in front of us. My friend's Riolu evolved on the spot out of what might have been spite, might have been the fact that my friend was training to be an Aura Guardian, and probably was a mixture of both. Mine wouldn't for a few months, but that's another story.

Honorable mention also goes to Eros, my Togekiss, who is the pokemon I mentioned earlier when talking about Charybdis. A then-friend of mine had hatched him from an egg, but he craved far more violence than she was able to give him, so after Charybdis evolved into Gastrodon and Eros evolved into Togetic, we ended up trading pokemon since both of them would be happier with the other trainer and they'd still get to see their original trainers sometimes anyway.

And then there's my Spiritomb, which is a really funny story.

You know how a lot of pokemon professors tend to give traveling trainers eggs to hatch along the way? I was given one, which was a little oddly shaped for an egg but I was determined to make hatch anyway.

It wasn't an egg. It was an Odd Keystone and I wouldn't find this out for months until I had the impulsive decision to stick the egg in a place I probably shouldn't have and a pokemon came out.

Banshee was quite unhappy about being awoken from their slumber like that, but they quite literally did not know a single attacking move when I caught them. It was literally just... Will-o-wisp, Hypnosis, I forget the rest.

Of all my battling team, I'm pretty sure "assumed to be an egg, Was Not An Egg" is the most out there meeting story I have. I could let Professor Rowan hear the end of it, and maybe I will one day, but it's also really funny to keep pointing out that he severely misidentified that. You understand.

it's funny bc when i was younger i was obsessed with friendship evolution pokemon specifically umbreon and togetic so i would constantly try to get them to evolve but never succeed (bc i was like 8 and didnt understand how friendship really worked or how to game it in silver) so i ended up never evolving my togepi meanwhile my eevee only evolved by something absurd like level 56 and then i realized umbreon wouldn't learn any dark type moves past then and i was so upsetttt 😭

If you were to make some characters of your choice pokemon gym leaders what would their teams be like?

Ok I always Love Pokemon themed asks so I got a Little carried away on this one. I decided to make pro-heroes, 1A, and villains each their own league of eight gyms! Each one has their position (first gym you encounter, second gym you encounter, etc), their type, and team!

Pro-Heroes

The first gym is Edgeshot, who uses steel types due to ninjas using swords, and his ability to become extremely sharp. He uses a single Honedge as steel is a more powerful type, so I figured giving him 1+ Pokemon would be unfair

For the second gym we have Snipe, who uses ground types due to him being a cowboy, which are generally associated with the American mid/south west and Mexico, which are mostly desert or farmlands. He uses Mudbray, as it evolves into a horse, and Silicobra, as its evolution is based in part on sidewinders (a snake from Mexico and the American Southwest) and double-barreled guns

The third gym would be Present Mic, who uses normal types as it is used as a catchall for sound based Pokemon. He uses Chatot, Loudred, and Jigglypuff all for their relation to sound/singing

The fourth gym is Aizawa, who uses dark types. I'm gonna be honest this was purely a choice of vibes. He uses an Alolan Persian and Purrloin because I couldn't not give him cats, and Morgrem due to it and Grimmsnarl using their hair similar to how Aizawa uses his scarf

Midnight is the fifth gym, and she uses poison types. I was between fairy and poison for her, but went with poison as her quirk kind of acts like an air-borne toxin, and I wanted to give her Salazzle. That being said, she uses Salazzle because Look At It, and Roselia and Glimmora for their pretty, floral looks as her quirk reminds me a lot of the move sweet scent, which is learned by a lot of grass types/flower-based Pokemon

Hawks is up next as the sixth gym, with flying types. Honestly I was pretty uninspired when it came to him, so he has Pidgeot, Swellow, and Talonflame as they're all powerful and/or fast birds that share one or all of their colors with him

Next up is All Might as the seventh gym leader with fighting types, due to his physical strength and fighting style, as well as the fighting type being known for having a lot of "just" Pokemon. He uses Machoke for its appearance, Falinks for their skilled and organized fighting style, and Lucario and Gallade for their just and knightly attributes

Finally Endeavor is the eighth gym leader, and of course uses fire types. His team is exclusively based on physically large and powerful Pokemon, because lets be real thats all he gives a shit about. He uses Magmortar, Emboar, Incineroar, and Camerupt

Class 1A

The first gym is Kirishima, who uses Rock types. He uses Geodude and Rockruff for reasons of them being neat little guys who I think he'd like

The second gym is Iida, who uses Steel types. His only Pokemon is Skarmory, due to it being on the faster end of steel types and sharing a similar color scheme to Iida. Like Edgeshot, he only uses one Pokemon since its so powerful so early on

For the third gym we have Uraraka who uses fairy types as many have magic that can make things float, and they overall match her vibe. She uses Togetic, as I wanted to give her a dual flying type, and Clefable

Kaminari is the fourth gym with electric types. He uses Pikachu (who hasn't seen him called Pikachu before?), as well as Blitzle and Electabuzz as I feel they fit his style and color scheme

The fifth gym is Mina, who uses poison types. Her Pokemon were honestly picked entirely on vibes; she uses Sliggoo, Galarian Slowbro, and Toxapex

Tokoyami is the sixth gym leader with dark types. He uses Honchkrow and Mandibuzz for the bird theme. He also uses a Lokix due to its showdown form. It reminds me a lot of dark shadow as it becomes much stronger but takes a toll on its body, similar to how dark shadow can really strain Tokoyami

The seventh gym, is Midoriya, who uses normal types. I know people usually associate him with fighting types, but I thought it would be cool to give him normal types - he'd be the type to give a chance to one of the weaker types. His team mostly revolves around the Pokemons' personalities. He uses Kangaskhan, as its willing to injure itself to defend its family, Blissey as it attempts to help any person or Pokemon it can, and Lopunny as it looks cute but is a powerful fighter

Finally Todoroki is the eighth gym, and uses ice types. I went with ice since he originally used exclusively ice, but all of his Pokemon have a connection to fire types. He uses Alolan Ninetales, whose regular form is a fire type, Galarian Darmanitan, which is ice/fire type, Glaceon, who is related to the fire type Flareon, and Snowy Form Castform, who can turn into the fire type sunny form

Villains

The first gym is Toga, who uses fairy types simply because she thinks theyre cute. She uses Impidimp for its mischievous personality and Spritzee as she finds it cute (also that whole thing with the bird when she was a kid)

The second gym is Muscular with fighting types. He uses a Mankey due to its extremely aggressive temperament, and Machop since Machoke and Machamp sort of look like him

Mr Compress is the third gym leader with psychic types. He uses Kadabra since its based on common real life magicians/magic acts, and Spoink since its pearl is the source of its power similar to how Compress's power is his marbles

Kurogiri is the fourth gym leader and he uses ghost types. He uses Spiritomb due to its resemblance to him, and Yamask as it was formerly a human, the same way he was

The fifth gym leader is Geten with ice type Pokemon. He uses Glalie (I think Snorunt looks like him), as well as Sneasel and Cloyster since theyre powerful and darker/aggressive than a lot of other ice types

Magne is the sixth gym leader and she uses steel types. Her Pokemon are Magneton for its relation to magnets, Tinkatuff for using its hammer how she uses her magnetic pillar, and Metang

The seventh gym is Shigaraki, who uses dark types. He has a Zweilous, as its evolution is known for acting out aggressively due to being disliked/outcast. He also uses Bomberdier for its very childish behavior, and Malamar as it controls others and influences historic events

Finally is Dabi who uses fire types. I wanted him to almost be a dual fire/ghost type user, as a lot of ghost types fit his darker theme, or feelings of abandonment. He uses Alolan Marowak, Chandelure, Houndoom and Ceruledge

Why does togetic lose its arms when it evolves into togekiss?

It technically doesn't! Its wings and arms just become the same limb, likely to save energy during the evolution process. It can still use its wings as arms, given how they're positioned and structured. Look up some togekiss battle footage and you'll see it in action, especially if it knows mega punch!
