August made such a big deal about that letter from his past self, hiding it, putting it in Sara's locker because he thought she'd understand him better or forgive him, idk, then reading it to her when she said she didn't want to read it herself, and I thought it would be something like "I want to help people" or "I wanna make the world a better place" or something else that could possibly redeem him a little bit, but it was just "I want to be stronger so I'm not bullied anymore (and so I can bully others instead)" and "I have no friends". Well, maybe there's a fucking reason why you had no friends! Mind you, I don't think the ones he has now are good friends, but I don't think he's a very good friend to them either, so not much has changed. And the bullying thing... 😒 I get why Sara would relate to him and feel sorry for him, but I hate this narrative of "I'm a bad person because I was bullied". Most of the time what I see is good kids being bullied for no reason at all and still staying good kids, while bullies grow up to be adult bullies, tbh.

So yeah, still not sorry for him. Like I said in another post, I do understand he has issues, like his eating disorder and probably unprocessed grief for his dad, but he's still a dick.

hey did you know??? that if you stop stretching and maintaining mobility in your body then it goes away?? things get tight and you can't move the way that you used to??? and when you decide to try getting a stretch routine going that the first week fucking sucks because you keep going 'damn i used to be able to do this no problem' and then you have to switch gears and be kind to yourself and just focus on getting better from here instead of berating yourself for dropping the good habits in the first place??? and your body never stops aging so you gotta keep taking care of it and sometimes you gotta take care of it extra in certain areas because of things that happened when you were younger and it's boring and sometimes hurts but it's so necessary???

i am yelling this at myself right now i am going through An Experience (trying to get into a routine of body maintenance again for my physical and mental health)

anyone can make a zine, regardless of skill level or access to materials or design programs. all you need is paper, scissors and drawing utensils (although many people enjoy collaging!) web search "8 page 1 sheet zine how to".

everyone SHOULD make a zine too, you will feel so good about it ♡ it's about putting the power of production into the hands of the people! also you don't have to sell it or anything, you can just make one for yourself or trade/give some to friends!

i really love julia grofrer's guide to analogue self publishing aka making zines on 8.5x11 paper

and jaydragon/jdragsky's thread on staple's self serve print centres (if you're area does not have a local print shop, they probably have a staples or fedex print centre)

For pride requests, like, Shu has something going on. Something dysphoria, maybe ace too but maybe he moves past repulsion once he figures out the gender thing, I don't know, what's your read?

oh i 100% agree, i have always seen shu being a little uncomfortable with their existence because it reminds them that they are a little too human (in his heart and in his mind) so it will probably take them a while to realize anything in some form without layers and layers of deflections but they're getting there (this is the sole reason why i like to see shu as a gem slowly being polished, they were always brilliant but it takes time to see it and accept it yourself)
