I was thinking about your post about the "Batman doesn't tell the JL about his family because he's paranoid" trope but with the Green Lanterns instead, and I just thought about combining it with "Batman hates GLs" trope. Imagine the batfam hearing complaints about Green Lantern and then meeting Hal/John and thinking wow, tf? These are nice, cool guys. And then they meet Guy, who had been the JL's contact for the longest time, and instantly realize the source of all the complaints

This isn't even a question. It's just some anon rambling about how they wanna take my Green Lantern focused post and make it all about the Bats' point of view and how Guy Gardner sucks so much he tanks the reputation of all the other Lanterns.

I dislike the "Batman hates GLs" trope because it's so rarely about how different the Bats and Lanterns are on a philosophical level. Mostly it's just Batstans using the GLs as punching bags. Because everything has to be about the Gotham vigilantes and how they're soooo much better than any other hero.

Hey, it'd depend on context.

Character with a facial difference puts on a mask as part of their superhero costume in a superhero story where abled characters also to do that because it's a superhero thing older than time itself = completely fine and actually cool to see. More heroes with facial differences please.

Suspiciously singular character with a facial difference is suspiciously the only superhero who wears a mask = suspicious. In a context where the story has a single superhero as a concept and there simply aren't more of them, focus on the existence of other characters with facial differences who don't wear any sort of mask + let the superhero with FD take the mask off in civilian mode just like abled superheroes would.

Only character with FD wears a mask at all times because [insert literally whatever excuse, I've heard of all of them and they're all bad] = just don't do this.

That's basically the rule of thumb for this trope in my opinion, if you have a question with more details/context for the character feel free to send another ask and/or look through the mask trope tag we have.

Trying to figure out how I wanna draw the Contestant outfit from Finding Frankie, minus the mask because it's chunky and hard to draw, my current ideas are;

Flat patterned jumper with a bunny eared hood, no tie shoes, fingerless gloves, (face mask optional)

Onsee with a black body suit underneath, tiny red lace ribbon, no shoes, bunny ear headband (tiny top hat part optional)

T-Shirt with a bow stuck to it, black arm warmers and thigh high socks, red shorts (like Real Frankie), Sneakers, lucky rabbit's foot keychain, top hat (rabbit ears in brim optional)

I dunno I wanted the outfit to be cute.

We deliberately left out Sailor Moon because of the mysterious absence of the moon in TLT (Possibly 【NTN Spoilers...?】 Jod blew it up along with everything else?) but the thought of Alecto dressing as Sailor Moon did cross my mind...
