Just going down the list of things that are The Actual Worst to realize in therapy and today's installment is the fact that I've never had the luxury of preparing for my future so now that I have to actually start thinking about what I'm going to do with my life (and that I should be able to think of something that I'd actually *like* to do) I am fucking stumped.

My son came running downstairs to ask me what I needed, because I keep messaging him on Steam.
"I'm not messaging you, look, it's all from yesterday..."
"But you were saying stuff like 'lol' and 'that's so funny'"
"I wouldn't say either of those things. Show me."
So he takes me upstairs and we prove that there are no new messages in his Steam chat, it was just the popups he was seeing.
I ask, "What game are you playing?"
"Pony Island."
"Oh...oh. Yeah. That's not me. That's the game. Have fun with that."
He was shouting for me to come back and please explain but some things you just have to work through on your own.

I like making schedules
I do not like following said schedules
#anyway trying to figure out what works in trying to not procrastinate on coursework combined with wanting to work on personal projects#but needing to figure out when best to get motivated to work on said projects#is an experience#im hoping to utilize the campus library and im dragging ny sib with me (/hj i proposed we go over the weekend and they agreed)#stick to time blocks and when those blocks are done move on#im making sure i have at least 1 day a week of no work (saturdays)#and then seeing how much time I'll have to put into my classes total throughout the week without burning myself out#(i have. roughly 16 hours? which is more than i tried last semester/felt confident i could do)#im also gonna be trying the pomodora(?) method + some other things like setting due dates early and how i take notes#We'll see if it helps 😅#amber's shit you can ignore

At the company retreat, one extremely drunk girl asked what my pronouns were. (Eventually, it took her a while to word the question.) After the whole conversation was done, she goes- "YEAHHH GURL, Get on with--with THY bad self! See what I did?? They/them/thy."

When I was younger and researching the autism diagnosis criteria and symptoms, I thought “oh I couldn’t POSSIBLY be autistic.” Because when I read “takes everything literally��� I thought it literally meant EVERYTHING and I was like “I don’t take EVERYTHING literally, just most things!” And I just realized the other day that it didn’t actually mean EVERYTHING and that was an overstatement.
