I find pretty funny how over the last near month since Marvel Rivals has been out, I've already been seeing a growing number of ships and couples.

As for what we've got so far....

ScarletVenom (Scarlet Witch x Venom)

SpiderFist (Spider-Man x Iron Fist)

Cloak and Dagger (I know these two already are a couple, but you get the point)

StrangeFrost (Doctor Strange x Loki)

WeatherBug (Storm x Mantis)

WinterHawk (Winter Soldier x Hawkeye)

ReedSue (Once again, already a couple but you get the point)

I kinda wanna see what are the next ships are gonna be, and see who the other characters will be shipped with.

Though we all need to agree that there's one character in this entire cast that shouldn't be shipped with anyone.....

I love shipping characters who hate each other in canon.

I love shipping characters who have had exactly one (1) conversation in canon.

I love shipping characters who have never met in canon.

I love shipping characters from different pieces of media.

It starts off silly. The notion of the pairing is so weird, so unexpected and seemingly dumb that it makes me laugh a little, perk up, look into it and see if this is really a thing.

And then it becomes a joke. Haha, look at this ship I’m shipping ironically, isn’t it silly, it would obviously never work out in canon but I’m looking at it and producing content for it anyway because it’s fun.

But as time goes on, it starts filling my feed. I start thinking about it - really thinking about it. Why did someone put these characters together in the first place? How would they really interact? How did they end up together, and why would they stay together?

What started out as a joke becomes a diving-off point, an opportunity to really think about both characters. The dynamic isn’t canon, so it’s yours to shape. The dynamic isn’t canon, so now you must delve into each character on your own, figure out how you perceive and understand both of them, learn to see them in a different light. What started out as a joke encourages you to dig deeper, think harder, fall even more in love with those characters as you consider the potentials which lie outside of canon, but which ultimately trace their roots through the core of the characters themselves.

Because by their very nature, crackships and rarepairs are not based on plot, and they are not based on canon. They are so seemingly random and odd that they disrupt your typical view of these characters, making you think more deeply about them. The non-canon ships you embrace or reject can inform your perception of these characters on a deep level. They can make you cry just as easily as they make you laugh. They add so much flavor.

And they can also be really, really funny.

Zeb. Buddy. I was extremely confused by your submission. I don't know Iron Man's rogue's gallery very well, but what minorities is Batman beating up? Does his rogues gallery even have that many minorities? Bane is latino, I guess, Ivy is a lesbian but he doesn't usually attack her, he just puts pesticides on her plants. Killer croc has a skin condition, so him, kinda? He fought black spider once. Red hood is technically adopted. Uhhh... Doctor Strange is probably autistic, right? Quizmaster definitely is. Riddler definitely is. Baby doll has a clear physical disability, but he's never actually physically hurt her as far as I'm aware. Harley is gay, but he rarely beats her up, he usually just floors her with at best a gut punch. Derek Powers is... well.. Derek powers. Penguin, regardless of anything, absolutely deserves an ass kicking for how he treats people. I dunno man, not really a lot of criminals who deserve to be left alone.

One could argue Joker is disabled by his mental state, but he can't be defined as disabled or insane because he's able bodied and minded enough to be a mob boss, and he isn't insane because he's fully cognisant of what he is and what he's doing. He's literally just an asshole.

Also I swear Iron man's biggest baddie is literally just a terrorist.

But like, is he beating them up BECAUSE they're minorities, or because they're nutters who go around killing people? I'm not having a go at you, thats just kind of a baffling take. Maybe I misunderstood.

Either way, I wanna see the fans of these two go to war.

Pardon the crackship but I personally wished Kent Mansley wind up in Hell and started falling for Cherri Bomb! 😩

Now that I have your attention, allow me to share my ideas and thoughts justifying this ship!

Imagine this sleazy agent walking up to the hotel as he starts rambling and harassing everyone in the hotel, accusing them of being Russian spies. I'd like to see a canon moment in the show where it's revealed that he died by slipping in the bathroom in prison and cracking his head on the sink. Because of his brain damage, he starts falling for Cherri Bomb.

Cherri is not like any other woman that he has met in his lifetime. She was fierce, spunky, and not afraid to speak her mind. At first, she didn't like him because of his very uptight and paranoid demeanor. He could not keep up with her considering his lack of experience in combat.

It'd make for an interesting dynamic because one of them is a crazy boomer from the 1950's while the other is a freakin' anarchist from the 1980's. He is obsessed with peace and order though he can also be a little reckless while Cherri likes to blow up stuff.

At the bar, Cherri got drunk and finally vented her distrust of Kent due to her past failed relationship. Kent didn't want to leave her alone in such a drunken state so he waited for her to fall asleep and drive her back home. He would cook her breakfast, bring her fresh clothes, and take her out for walks.

Meanwhile, Charlie has been watching them from behind the scenes and is hopeful that someone like Kent can be redeemed. He starts to realize his past mistakes and vows to show his loyalty by helping her on their mission to redeem sinners. However, the Exterminators have arrived and started killing everyone.

It would've made such an impact if in the end he decided to sacrifice himself to protect the hotel but not before sharing one final kiss with Cherri, who was driven with rage and started killing the angels.

I came up with the idea of a sinner like Kent taking Sir Pentious' place because the show failed to give me a clear reason why he is supposed to date Cherri and his death fell flat. Then, he still got redeemed like wut?? They just zapped him and I'm supposed to get emotional over it?

At least to me, Kent could play a significant role given he works for the government and nearly decimated the whole planet when he commanded a nuclear missile to be launched in order to get rid of The Iron Giant.

He is a very complex character because he might as well be an irredeemable villain but he can actually be misguided. He thinks what he's doing is right when he only makes things worse! I would honestly prefer the show leave his fate open-ended for Season 2.

I remember seeing the Cherri Bomb x Sir Pentious ship being a thing around the Internet way before the official Hazbin Hotel show came out and thought it was just silly. Ain't no way this chic is gonna date this cartoony villain! At the end of the day, it's just based on my opinions and ideas so take this with a grain of salt. Please don't hate me!
