MS(mild steel) channels
Today, the price of MS (mild steel) channels in India typically ranges from ₹60,000 to ₹85,000 per metric ton, reflecting a complex array of factors that influence the steel market. The cost of MS channels is closely tied to fluctuations in raw material prices, including iron ore and coking coal, which are essential for steel production. Recent volatility in these raw material prices has been driven by global supply chain disruptions, trade policies, and geopolitical tensions. For example, disruptions in supply from major iron ore-producing countries like Brazil and Australia have led to increased iron ore prices, which, in turn, raise the production costs of MS channels. Additionally, global economic conditions, including the performance of key economies such as China, affect the demand for iron ore and steel, influencing steel prices on a worldwide scale. Domestically, MS channel prices in India are significantly influenced by levels of construction and infrastructure activity. Large government infrastructure projects, urban development initiatives, and extensive housing schemes drive substantial demand for MS channels, leading to price increases, particularly in regions experiencing intense construction or industrial activity. Seasonal trends also impact prices; for instance, there is often a surge in construction activity before the monsoon season, which can lead to temporary price spikes. Regional market conditions further contribute to variations in MS channel prices across different parts of India. Factors such as local supply and demand dynamics, transportation costs, and logistical challenges all play a role in determining pricing. In regions with high levels of construction or where transportation and logistics costs are significant, MS channel prices may be higher due to increased demand or greater expenses. Conversely, in areas with lower demand or more efficient supply chains, prices might be more stable or even lower. Major manufacturers and suppliers of MS channels in India, such as Tata Steel, JSW, and SAIL, significantly impact local pricing through their production strategies and cost structures. These companies invest in advanced manufacturing technologies and adhere to stringent quality standards, which can influence pricing. The overall cost of producing MS channels, including factors such as energy, labor, and technological advancements, also contributes to their price. Variations in these production costs, driven by changes in energy prices or labor wages, can further affect MS channel prices. The steel market in India is highly dynamic and subject to frequent changes based on shifts in raw material costs, production capabilities, and broader economic conditions. Therefore, while the provided price range offers a general perspective on current MS channel prices, it is crucial for buyers and industry stakeholders to consult local suppliers or manufacturers for the most accurate and up-to-date information. This ensures effective budgeting and procurement planning for construction and industrial projects. In summary, today‟s MS channel prices in India are shaped by a combination of global raw material costs, domestic industrial and construction demand, regional market conditions, and the strategies of major manufacturers. Understanding these factors is essential for navigating the steel market and making informed decisions regarding procurement and project planning.

I had tears pouring down my cheeks while I was driving home this morning because I listened to a podcast about the Radium Girls and how hard they fought to hold their employer to account for poisoning them, even though they knew they would die regardless, because they wanted to protect the workers who came after them. Even though their community called them liars and they were in horrible pain, they fought. And then the host started talking about how the Manhattan Project used knowledge gained from the Radium Girls to protect their workers and how the ghosts of those girls and women protected people going forward...
And it made me think of all the ghosts, unnamed and unknown, who in their death protect us: the ghosts of the Titanic, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, the Quebec Bridge, and so many others. Disasters that made us change laws and protect people, not just because they were horrific but because survivors and survivors families demanded that we change; kept screaming and fighting and pushing until someone listened and something was fixed.
What a debt we owe.
#the ghosts that protect us#the radium girls#cautionary tales#not jane austen#i don't know how to tag this#the Quebec Bridge was a Canadian diaster and because of it our engineers wear iron rings on their pinky#to remind them of what messing up can cost

“Team Black or Team Green?” What about team smallfolk overthrowing the monarchy that are are carelessly flying around on weapons of mass destruction and committing war crimes because of their entitlement over a damn chair when neither side are giving two shits about the people they are supposed to govern
#house of the dragon#hotd#i’m making it a thing#team smallfolk#yeah i’m still mad that GOT never abolished the damn monarchy but at least this story is showing us that power corrupts everyone#and the fight for the iron throne costs the main players everything that matters. you either win or you die? nah there are no winners#more like you die or you live with consequences of the bloodshed for power#even if you are an innocenf child who gets the throne he never asked for but loses his entire family#or you live like alicent who’s fate is worse than death would’ve been for her

honestly I encourage everyone to get comfortable opening up their electronics. game consoles. computers. phones. keyboards. headphones. whatever. like obviously don't start with the most difficult thing to open up and don't just mindlessly pop open something and lose all the screws and don't do it while its on. but get comfortable looking inside your stuff yourself
its not hard to open up most electronics that don't have an apple logo on them (and even a lot of those are easier than you'd think) and it DOES NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
Companies will try to scare you from learning how to care for your own stuff because they get money that way. Warranty stickers are technically illegal in the US but just isn't enforced, and a company can't actually void your warranty if you repair something yourself, so long as you don't break something else in the process.
like I look at threads all the time where people express fear about just opening up a console and looking at the internals to see which version they have but don't be! its easy, its safe, its free! get comfortable with your electronics and learn how to clean and repair stuff yourself, it isn't scary, companies just want you to think it is!
#I have been inside of like a dozen different video game consoles at this point#i'm talking like atari 2600 through X Box 360 in terms of generations#newer ones I've just had no reason to open up so that's the only reason I haven't tho I should probably do some cleaning#but like I've done cleaning and repasting and straight up surgery on motherboards and its FINE its not hard#I don't even know how to use a soldering iron and I have still done repairs and maintenance that would cost stupid amounts#I've taken part ipods regularly and removed puffy batteries from iphones and popped open headphones to replace parts they don't want replac#i've frankensteined keyboards from different ones to make what I wanted and built ones I myself#as long as you're careful and don't fuck around with power supplies that are ON or act reckless with batteries#its FINE#open up your junk and clean it

I think it’s really funny seeing those Twitter AU’s where the author portrays Tony as just like so suave and casual online even when he’s interacting with Gen Z kids even tho it should really be the opposite.
His TRUE final form is Trophy Husband Who No Longer Understands The Internet But Insists He Is Still Cool And Hip
So an accurate Twitter au would be Tony embodying “How do you do, fellow kids?” and throwing a tantrum when someone calls him old.
“I’m a tech genius, Peter! That makes me cool and hip. Tell Pepper I’m cool and hip. Peter, stop laughing.”
And Peter has just resigned himself to patting Tony on the back like “Yes, Mr. Stark. You are very cool and hip. Please never say cash money again.”
#Peter has a father figure but at what cost?#cringe that’s the cost#one note and I’ll make my own au just to prove my point#Tony got creaky old man bones#in this au peter’s like about to graduate high school and Tony’s alive because I said so#irondad and spiderson#iron dad and spider son#irondad#iron dad#spiderson#spider son#tony stark#peter parker#iron man#spiderman#spider man#marvel#marvel mcu#marvel cinematic universe#tony stark incorrect quotes#incorrect tony stark#incorrect peter parker#pepper potts

Hey so me & Malcolm's cell service got shut down today. I was going to pay for it to be restored but unfortunately the copay for my emergency dental work was just under $100 and I'm completely broke.
The good news is I do get paid tomorrow, but because I was only in for one day last week, I won't have enough to get groceries, pay for transit to and from work next week, and pay off my phone bill, as well as the copay for the last bit of dental work I need done Saturday & any meds they prescribe. So I thought I would at least try and ask if anyone out there would be willing to help out, even a little.
Thank you for reading/sharing/donating if you're able to help.
#mutual aid#help#donations#i hate to do this but my immune system is still recovering from the bed bug trauma and any infection at all wipes me out completely#ironically the stress from constant health issues resulted in neglecting my teeth and the level of decay is serious#i had a couple teeth fixed already but Saturday they're removing 2 teeth entirely i believe#i think i only need to cover the cost of the anaesthetic though the extractions are free i believe

While it may seem impossible to comprehend that 44% of female voters voted for Trump and 56% of male voters seem to value the nebulous economy more than the rights of women etc. (Harris literally has the same 10 point gender gap just in reverse) I would like to point out that that is still roughly half of each group which falls in line with the general idea that at least half the country is dumb as hell
#us politics#us pol#us elections#ironic too considering analysis says trumps tariffs plan with increase consumer costs 20% across the board

maybe the banter bug is a blessing in disguise because half the time when people start talking i just sigh
#one problem with the dai characters' writing is. it feels like everyone was very recently forced to take a class#on writing characters and was told they all need distinctive voices to stand out. and really really took that to heart#yeah i could instantly pick out cole or bull or sera from their speech pattern alone. but at what cost.#anyway thinking of respeccing vivienne because solas' ice magic keeps saving my life but i roll my eyes whenever#he speaks. yeah i get it youre a curious and mysterious soul and everything you say will be soo ironic in 100 hours#please stop making conversation with varric im trying to hear the insane things he and cass say to each other

The Twelve Principles of Circular Hydrometallurgy, (Binneman & Jones, 2023) are:
The goal is, essentially, that if you have an "ore" of a laptop, you'd be able to 'extract' and separate the gold, cobalt, copper, thallium, zinc, etc by exploiting their physical and chemical properties, with minimal waste products and minimal harm. The process is continuous, and most of the reagents in the vats can be reused, or don't harm the system.
For copper, we separate sulfides from unwanted minerals by exploiting their hydrophobic surface. Then they're converted into a CuSO4 solution that is purified, and then we're able to add electricity to the system to get copper to drop out of solution in a usable form (native copper).
So I think for this essay/location, I'm going to pick Reduce Chemical Diversity, because according to the diagram here, they actually did a pretty good job of only using hydroxide additives? It looks very simple and interesting. I'll also do Use Benign Chemicals because the mill is right next to the Great Lakes and I'm curious if there are problems there. I'll also do Maximize Mass/Energy etc because that's easy fucking fruit. I don't know why that's in this circle. It bugs me.
Preventing Waste is also easy fruit, and combine circular hydrometallurgy with Zero Waste Mining which is an interesting topic, but I hate how the authors of this paper discussed it.
#I have a surprising amount of beef with this paper because the authors were chemists and picked one or two mining hydromet#examples and called it a day with 0 consideration for all the other shit in the ground that we have to consider for mining.#So for Zero Waste Mining what they mean is also extracting the silica and the aluminum and the Fe and the Mg from all the#random minerals that are just in the ground normally. Which is a great idea but really difficult when they're not in high concentrations#So you're essentially saying 'I have a lot of Fe as a side product in my system so I'm going to include 50 Ma worth of equipment to#save a little bit of this iron and pay for the cost to get it where it needs to go when it changes/damages my system overall.'#It's kind of like moon mining. It's a good idea in theory. In practice it's really difficult to design a system that checks that box becaus#all the elements need different solutions/conditions to separate.#I'm sorry if this is really boring and it's not cobalt processing ^^' I'll get to that next. I'm outlining and this is what's been hard.

Need asoiaf fans to be disabused from the notion that anyone “deserves” the Iron Throne. Not a single person deserves it, doesn’t matter how good they are. And I’d take it a step further and say that no one deserves to be king or queen or lord. We shouldn’t be equating kingship/queenship with a happy ending. This series does so much to criticize this awful system so it’s particularly jarring that people will go “I want my fave to get their happy ending and sit on the iron throne”. That’s…kind of antithetical to what the series has shown us so far I think.
#asoiaf#valyrianscrolls#people if there’s one thing you ought to take away from reading this series#it’s fEuDaLiSm bAd#that’s like super consistent across the entire system#it sounds reductive but like grrm has spent a lot of time showing us just how rotten this all is#the iron throne is pretty much a physical representation of this rotten system#and I also see people being like ~I want my fave to be the hero because that’s what they deserve and that’s a happy ending~#as if grrm isn’t taking his sweet time deconstructing what it means and costs to be a hero#spoiler alert: it costs a lot!!!#being a hero isn’t going to be a walk in the park guys#my hot take is that part of the reason why people don’t like bran as king of the 7k is because they had thought the IT going to their#fav was the happy ending#so that’s why we get a lot of ~what’s bran’s tax policy~#not to say that everyone asking that is asking it in bad faith#but so many people in this fandom think that certain roles are owed to their faves#gonna prepare a truck load of popcorn for when ADoS comes out because oooo the drama#btw this is not directed toward a particular fandom - because like half of the people who read this books think like that

oh my god last night my friend drunkenly confessed to me that she had been feeling very lonely these past few months and i told her i'd been feeling the exact same and we were both kind of shocked bc we both felt like the other person was doing amazing (which also kept both of us from reaching out, bc the other person seemed busy and intimidatingly happy) and it was this really weird moment which felt like smth from a play or something. like real life dramatic irony. and the craziest part is that she literally lives a two minute walk away from me too so we were literally having our simultaneous lonely breakdowns across the street from each other. so i guess what im trying to say is check on your friends and dont believe social media
#personal#really weird thing to find out but im glad we talked ab it. we're going to hang out more now<3#also when i told her i'd been miserable she immediately mentioned that she saw on my social media that id been partying#and i immediately knew which post she meant bc it was this august photo dump thing i posted which did have a lot of pics from this 1 party#but i specifically remember struggling to find enough pictures for that post bc i'd spent most of the month miserable at my parents' place#it was so ironic. the thing that for me really confirmed my loneliness on a personal level was what convinced her not to reach out#guess it did do its job of fooling everyone that i was doing great lmfao but At What Cost!
