Rokk Krin was a space explorer from a distant galaxy whose one-man vessel was snared by a black hole. For eons he was held on event horizon, although to him it felt like a few hours. He witnessed the birth and death of stars. He lost consciousness as he fell into the black hole he lost, and when he woke he found himself in our galaxy in the Earth AI time period of the 31st Century, his body aged backwards to late adolescence.

Rokk soon discovered that as a result of his incredible journey through the black hole, he had gained the ability to create and control magnetic force. His fantastic adventure inspired him to call himself "Cosmic Boy".

Shortly after, on a shuttlecraft in the Sol system, Rokk helped to save quadrillionaire R.J. Brande from terrorists. A gratified Brande invited Rokk and the two others who teamed with him, Irma Ardeen and Garth Ranzz, to form a special ops team, the Legion of Super-Heroes which was later chartered by the UP as its membership mushroomed.

I, Rond Vidar, was born in 2992. I’m...well I guess technically a Green Lantern, a Legionnaire, and the son of a former United Planets President-turned-Cosmic Supervillain (a surprisingly crowded category of being). A multi-hyphenate, so to speak, but uh really just an engineer? I like making things and unfortunately I have a weird dad and weird friends and it’s all weird. Some guy named Absorbancy Lad who took over Earth tried to fight me, and he had a ring too?

Anyway I’ve got a pretty good memory [it’s not photographic! stop saying that] so ever since getting my ring, I’ve been the only member of the Legion who can create temporary perfectly functional Time Spheres on the fly.

That’s how Irma roped me into this wildly unprofessional archival project, her Time Trappers. Now weirdos from whenever keep showing up to try and kill me because they think I’m alternating the timeline on the fly [which is not even how that works! I’m not some Perpetuan].

Everything is bad, Irma gave me this cape because my engineering uniform wasn’t “jazzy” enough, and... [I don’t think it’s a good idea to tell them that yet]

...Chairman Ardeen of the Legion of the Legions has an all-points message:

I FINALLY WROTE GENUINE FLUFF FOR MEKT AND KELL!

Kell wasn’t much one for family, being raised by a robot with multiple personalities does that to a man.

Not to say K3N-T didn’t raise him well!

But people are different than robots...

“You must be Kell,” Perla greets kindly after hugging her eldest son.

“Yeah.” Kell nods, keeping his distance from the woman, but keeping close to his boyfriend still.

As they pass a few other Winathians, who stare, Mekt grabs Kell’s hand.

“If someone tries to say something they’ll learn to fly,” Kell whispers.

“Thanks, Kell,” Mekt smiles.

Sitting in the family room of the Ranzz house, Kell has Mekt leaning very comfortably(at least for Mekt)against him, one of Kell’s arms over Mekt’s shoulder, while the brothers talk.

Ayla’s been contributing to the conversation occasionally, but she’s more interested in playing with Imra at the moment.

Luc And Perla just seem genuinely happy to have all of their kids, and the people they love, all in one place.

“You two are awfully cuddly today,” Rokk teases.

Mekt tosses a pillow at him.

“That’s because Mekt loves Kell,” Ayla beams.

Mekt blushes bright red when she says that.

Him and Kell have never said they love each other...

“I love him too,” Kell smiles, very faintly, but it’s a smile.

Mekt and Kell are on their way out and Mekt stops Kell before they get onto the cruiser.

“I love you.”

“I love you too.”

Seeking to avoid the failures that destroyed Earths of old, Irma and her friends look beyond the Sol System, to the further reaches of space. They would need as many allies from as many worlds as they could find...they would need a Legion of Super-Heroes.
