The Future of Season 7 of Wild Kratts

In light of this week's premiere of Wild Kratt's 7th season, Martin Kratt has discussed the new season as well as the overall history of the show and what is to come in the future of the series.

You can read all of what he has to say in this article, but I'm going to address the very interesting stuff regarding what to expect next for Season 7.

“There's so much that people know about animals that hasn't been published yet,” notes Martin. “So, we can find things that aren't even in books yet and put them in the show by talking directly to these scientists. One thing about the format for this show and the subject matter is we'll never run out of stories. There's so much to do still, and so many animals left to write about. This season we’ll be breaking the 200th episode and we’ve only scratched the surface.”

Now I will not lie, this paragraph gave me a lot of joy. Because Martin is right, there IS a crap-ton of animals that people know so little about. Anyone who says this show isn't a cultural impact for all that it's done to inform and inspire this generation over the past 12 years of its airing is lying out of their fucking asses.

Ok now that I've gotten that out of the way, let's address the bolded point:

Wild Kratts will air its 200th episode in Season 7.

200th Episode!!!

Now everything is starting to make sense: The reason why the hiatus took nearly 2 full years was because they were producing a minimum of 47 episodes. That's even more episodes than Season 1 had:

Which means that the potential for this season is limitless: And that's not even going into what Episode 200 may be about. This season is totally going to be worth the two-year long wait and these madlads at PBS are going to make damn well sure of it!

Then there's this line from Martin:

Still, what would a monumental seventh season be without a bit of mysterious animal flare? And, of course, the occasional lemur?

Ok now it's getting good. It looks like we'll be going on a return to Madagascar for more lemur-centric episodes. Fingers crossed for more Zooboomafo references:

This is all so exciting and honestly, anyone who felt let down by the first few eps. of S7, I think you guys will feel very vindicated by the remainder of this season. I think after the lackluster 5th and 6th season and the subsequent negative response for that, they're bringing forward a revival era for WK's quality that may be on par with, or even succeed the earlier seasons. Regardless, I'm excited for where this shit goes.

I knew them Live Action before they became an animated show!!! I have never even considered this question before!!! Little facts about Clara Nightingale

She dislikes Chris and Martin, but the person she dislikes the most is Chris because according to her he is annoying and ruins her shows.

She loves cats and dogs, but she thinks they’re too bland for her TV shows, she has a love for animals but she doesn’t want to admit it, she loves using animals for entertainment.

She is desperate for family and wants to take away the Wild Kratt’s’ happiness away, like I SAID y’all. She is greedy and she wants what she wants. But there is a possible change Clara might change. Jealous of Chris and Martin.

Honestly, she never really knew what love felt like because her papa and mama never gave her the love she deserved at 5. She might’ve been a brat but a villain always has its tragic back story. Just wanted to be included.

She has more of a Darla Dimple personality, Angel in the stage, devil backstage. She is a loaded hot-head at 9 years old. And she hates animals. (Not really, just doesn’t want to admit her love for animals

6. Okay, hear me out…When you show her dislikes and you don’t even like her, istg this kid will fight back, she will fight back ONLINE and IRL. She will NOT hesitate to jump somebody’s ass with her loads of bodyguards. Don’t end up like Chris and Martin. The sassiest and most icon kid to walk the Wild Kratts series. Like; she gives the best roasts. HURRICANE KATRINA MOVING ‘ERE!!!

7. She doesn’t want to admit it, but she kind of likes getting attention and being babied by Chris and Martin, just 90% of the time she never shows it. She actually kind of likes them a bit during a secret redemption arc she gets.

8. The villains don’t really like her because she is a brat and a spoiled one that, but when she gets angry outbursts, ooo baby run out there and call Rudy because Rudy is the only guy that can comfort her. She likes to destroy things because it helps her calm down, destroys things because it makes her think of the Wild Kratts! Destroys stuffed animals.

I know that Wild Kratts is one of those shows where the main [human] characters don't age despite it still being a quasi-continuity driven show, but it does admittedly make me sad that the WK kids from the earlier seasons are now relegated to (presumably permanent) background cameos because of this.

How Did Marissa Kratt Got Adopted by Jon and Harley

5 year old Marissa Kratt was just walking with her dad Martin and when they arrived at the dumpster he told Marissa that he’ll be back he’s just gotta go get Gavin,Ronan and Raye to help him take out the trash and so Martin went into his truck and drove off never to be seen again but he never came back. All day Marissa was just shivering cold so she took a nap on the garbage until That’s when Jon founded the 5 yeah old laying in the garbage and that’s when she woke up to see jon saying “hey are you okay?” And Little Marissa was crying she said No she misses her dad,Mom and her brothers and sister and that’s when Jon told little Marissa that she can be part of his family so they went to the farm house and as soon as harley got home he saw that Jon brought home and Harley asked “Jon why is there a girl on our couch?” And Jon said “oh this is Marissa she’s gonna be part of our family now I founded her in some garbage” “You what now?” Harley said in confusion “I founded her in some garbage her mom and dad abandoned her” Jon said to Harley while trying to give some food to Marissa and that’s when 4 year old phineas who also went to the store with Harley and got an bob the builder action figure and saw the girl on the couch and said SHE CAN BE MY SISTER PLEASE DAD AND BUBBA and in which they did agree to take in Marissa

And so on October 14th 2013 Jon and Harley adopted Marissa Kratt and she became a Knight-Rodriguez family member ever since but she still kept her last name tho

So that’s the history of how Jon and Harley adopted Marissa

so last night i dreamt that i was part of the camera crew for the bros (which was literally just me and one other guy, idk who he was) and ig the location we were shooting at was one that they'd been to before. we ended up digging up a time capsule from one of their first adventures and it had all kinds of equipment/mementos from like. the 90s. i remember helping em sort through all the stuff in there and between all the reminiscing chris was talking about how he and martin wanna keep doing their work for as long as they're able. it was rly sweet :')
