My Apple Story.
One of the biggest problems for any kind of blogger is “What should I blog about next?” Well, I never said in my first blog but I am a big fan of the company Apple Inc. That being said. I shall make this blog about “My Apple Story”.
Early Years (2006-2009)
It all started back in 2006. I was on holiday with my Grandparents when they bought me an iPod Nano second generation. I won't lie I never used the device. It stayed in the cupboard for years. Admittedly I wasn't really into anything like that back then. Was far more into my gaming console the PlayStation 2 from Sony. As a passionate gamer (which I still am) the iPod wasn't even on my radar.
Years 2008-2009
As 2008 came around. For Christmas that year I was gifted an iPod Touch 8GB. Now back in 2008 that 8GB was a lot of memory for such a small device. No matter this time round I gave it more attention. So I went about learning all about how it worked and I took notes, watched YouTube videos and played many iOS games. All around. I fell in love with the device.
A year later in 2009, I got my very first MacBook Pro 13-inch It was also the same year I got my very first iPhone. The iPhone 3Gs. Both were equally insanely great.
Years 2010-2011
During the year 2010, I must have spent hours reading articles and watching videos just to know more about the company and their leader. In the year 2010, I got my very first iPad first generation. What a device! We take it for granted now but iPad but back then it was something truly different. It was like no other experience to that current date apart from my small iPod and iPhone. So as time went on there I was quite happy with my iPod Touch and iPhone and MacBook and iPad. I was quite literally on top of the world.
Then suddenly in 2011 in the early hours of October 5th 2011 after the Apple October event on the 4th, I was in bed reading the Wall Street Journal on my iPad about everyone's thoughts on the event under the new CEO Tim Cook and it came onto the news that the founder Steve Jobs had died of pancreatic cancer. I won't lie. I looked up to him for so much inspiration and now he was gone. Forever. A hero of mine.
I just started tearing up. Sad when you think as his products got stronger he got weaker. It felt like a friend of mine or a family member just died. Here is the odd thing up to that point I never felt loss like that before. I digress...
Years 2012-2015
So 2011 came and went and that following year I got the iPhone 4s then a year later I got the iPhone 5 both were very capable phones. My love for Apple didn't die with Steve Jobs if anything it got much MUCH stronger.
I carried loyally on watching the Apple events. In the year 2012 also I got an upgrade to both my old iPod Touch and my old iPad. I got the iPod Touch (Product Red) 32GB fifth generation. Looking back I won't lie I didn't even need that iPod, I simply just wanted it. The iPad I got was the new slim iPad Air in white.
By the year 2013 came around. I was visiting the US I got an iPod Classic with 160GB the last of its kind. As a year later in September 2014. Apple decided to discontinue making them along with all the other iPods apart from the iPod Touch.
In 2014 I only got one device and that was the iPhone 6. During 2014 I did like in years gone by I watched every Apple event so I was fully up to date in every aspect of Apple. You could have asked me any question regarding price or specs and I would have known the correct answer. Once again my apologies. I digress...
Years 2015-2019
So 2015 came about and I had hardware issues with my 2009 MacBook Pro. It was the battery. I mean let us face facts. I was on it every day since I got the device no wonder the battery was failing. That being said instead of getting a replacement. I got the new MacBook Pro 13-inch 2015. It was the first MacBook I got with the legendary retina display.
When I was visiting the US again in 2017, I got myself the Apple Watch series one. Now here’s the interesting previously I never wore a watch in my life. So I guess just a turn of a switch of a light. I became a watch user.
So as the years went on I didn't by surprise upgrade my iPhone until the mic decided not to work and once again instead of getting it fixed, I got the new iPhone 7 as it was a lot cheaper than the current new iPhone 8 at the time in 2017.
Years 2019-2023
So when the MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019) was announced I figured it was a good time to upgrade my old MacBook 13-inch and bite the bullet and get a new 15-inch with the all-new touch bar while I was at it upgraded my iPhone 7 to the iPhone 11 and got myself the Apple Watch Series Three. All of them were simply wonderful I mean I was seriously overwhelmed by how great they were. So much so I even got myself an old 2011 15-inch MacBook Pro from a man on Facebook. That was the start of my love of the bigger screens on Macs.
Skipping onto 2021 came about and as you can imagine once again I felt that urge to upgrade one of my devices. As I looked around my room I wondered what could upgrade and there it was my old very dated by this point iPad Air so that being said. I traded in my old iPad Air and got the phenomenal 12.9 iPad Pro with 256GB and an M1 chip it is a powerhouse in its own right. Then while I was at that too I decided to upgrade my Apple Watch Series 3 to an Apple Watch Series Six.
Oh and I almost forgot I got the AirPod Pro second generation. They are great. I wouldn't be without them. I used them every day since I bought them.
In January 2022 I traded in my old MacBook Pro for the brand new MacBook Pro with yet another bigger screen yes by one whole inch it's now 16 inches but it is much more than that it was massively redesigned inside and out and while I was at it I got traded in my old iPhone 11 for the iPhone 13 Mini.
So I guess that wraps up my Apple story. I shall be updating this as I get more etc Here is a list below of all the Apple products I have owned over the years. I shall be updating this as the years roll on.

MP3 Player Default: RECOLORABLE iPod Nano
Back in the 2000s, I had an iPod Nano, and although there have been iPod defaults before, they were only the original model. Plus it wasn't recolorable. But now there's both things, together!
I'm not that great at file/mesh stuff, so I used Graverobber's default as a base since it was already recolorable. Then @annachibi helped by editing the mesh so that the screen fit the texture I wanted to use.
There's 2 recolorable parts: The iPod itself, and the screen.
(The swatches inside the .zip folder are labeled with filenames)
I guess I felt like being thorough with this, so I made every single color that was released for iPod Nano generations 2 through 5.
Generation 1 was skipped because it didn't come in any colors lol.
I skipped generations 6 & 7 because the last time I owned an iPod was before those existed :P
Some of the colors are very very similar to each other, especially the reds & pinks, but they were just different enough that I kept both.
Plus idk, maybe you prefer Gen 2 pink over Gen 3 pink (or vice versa), now you can choose either one :)
I've also included PSDs of both the iPod and the screen so you can easily create more colors. One thing to note however, is that the screen part is... Weird.
This seems to just be how the MP3 player functions as an object, but there's both a "lit" and "unlit" image for the screen. The thing is, it flips between these 2 images every few seconds, regardless of whether a sim is using it or it's just sitting on the floor.
Graverobber's default combined these 2 images into one texture file, so the "lit" and "unlit" images are next to each other, but that means they've both been squished. The screen is so tiny however that I don't think it makes that much of a difference.
For my screen recolors, I put an exact duplicate of the image on both the "lit" and "unlit" parts of the texture. It flips back & forth between the 2 so frequently I couldn't think of anything better to do with it.
If you use my PSD to recolor the screen, after you make your image, you'll have to shrink & squish it to fit on the actual screen texture. I thought it would be easier to make recolors if it hadn't been squished yet.

Year-End Poll #57: 2006
[Image description: a collage of photos of the 10 musicians and musical groups featured in this poll. In order from left to right, top to bottom: Daniel Powter, Sean Paul, Nelly Furtado, James Blunt, Shakira, Natasha Bedingfield, Gnarls Barkley, Chamillionaire, Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé. End description]
More information about this blog here
The sound of popular rap is still skewing down south, as seen with Chamillionaire and Slim Thug. The dirty south sound will continue to be popular throughout the decade.
With Timbaland, The Neptunes, Danger Mouse, and Swizz Beatz, we're seeing a lot of established names in the world of music production popping up in the top 10. Timbaland was already a well-known producer in the 90's, especially his work with Missy Elliot, Aaliyah, Jay-Z, and other notable names in rap and R&B (cutting a lot of artists from this list; seriously he's very prolific). In the mid-2000's, Timbaland started working with more pop acts, like Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, and The Pussycat Dolls (again, cutting a lot out), bringing more mainstream pop listeners to his sound. Like The Neptunes, Timbaland's production style is incredibly distinct and helped to shape what a lot of music in the 2000s sounded like.
This was also the year the second-generation iPod Nano was introduced. This is mostly notable to me because this was the year I upgraded to one from my Walkman, and I saw the music video for Gnarls Barkley's Crazy on that tiny screen and it blew my goddamn mind because I thought I was living in the future.

25. would you say you have good taste in music?
uhhh maybe? i spend the majority of my time listening to instrumental music because it's hard to focus on work and carry conversations with the people i'm in calls with when there are also lyrics my brain is trying to process, so i listen to a lot of chiptune, FM synthesis, and arrangements of game soundtracks. which does provide a lot of variation in genres - funk, jazz, buttrock, whatever the hell Splatoon has going on at any given point - but it also makes it hard to talk about my taste in music when people ask what bands i listen to and i have to sheepishly explain that no, i do not have a spotify account, i just listen to the same handful of alt rock bands that i liked when i had an ipod nano in 9th grade and almost everything else is just a massive and wildly eclectic youtube playlist i've built up over the past 6 years with probably no fewer than 7 different megalovania covers tucked away in there someplace
anyways what was the question again lol

Well, shit.
I guess that explains why it hasn't been working properly for the last few months. Damn thing would randomly toggle between fast charging (<2 hours) and slow charging(>7 hours), or else just not charge at all unless I jiggled it very carefully and propped the wire against itself like a pair of shitty earbuds in an iPod Nano.
Looks like I'm going to the dollar store in the morning to pick up a new one...

Hey 👋 i rly like seeing you from the ground up. Cool stuff. Even on national television. Like adult swim commercials I've seen you on, i hear you have 8 is that true?
Here is a list of some of the things I have done publicly,
1.-Hollywood Film:
Today my first animation credit in a Hollywood feature film debuts at SXSW! it is called "only the good survive"

2-Ipod games!
"Maze" and "Klondike Solitaire" for the ipod classic and nano (2007-2009)
3-four episodes of "off the air" for adult swim 2011-2016:

Just wanna add!
We definitely don't NEED new models! If you absolutely must, get your electronics secondhand!
All these annual releases of phone models or even computers, laptops, etc.
We're over-consuming stuff we don't immediately need!
A lot of "hype" for these items are just psychologically making us think "we're not in touch with the latest fashion of XYZ", when literally these gadgets, electronics, etc. are just made for a delusional status symbol of wealth!
And there's plenty more issues about this! Remember NFTs? Cryptocurrency?
Yeah those greedy tech bros who were trying to make money out of their own fictional currency had overused, bought and fried thousands of microchips and hardware just so their computers could run 24/7! And they hoarded even more computers and stuff just to run their made-up money!
Imagine how much money, electricity, resources were wasted on calculating and running computers for their fictional money to make it into an already unstable economy during the height of the pandemic?
A lot of our hardware doesn't come from nowhere! A lot of our gadgets aren't exactly eco-friendly! And how they're sourced isn't ethical either!
This has been a problem for a very long time! And it's been growing worse since!
And if it took us to finally have 1st hand online accounts of wars recorded in this current generation despite this being the reality for a lot of exploited colonized territories, then I think that's pretty good proof some of these camera phones and the gadgets of Palestinians, Congolese, etc. are pretty durable and they're not even the latest model of iPhone 2250 something!
Your working gadgets are fine!
And use them against these corporations who have exploited millions of lives and natural habitats for minerals that could have been synthesized and produced through scientific innovation, instead of us seeing ugly Tesla cars! They don't even work well off-road!
Also I went on to look for some articles! Apologies most of the sites have donation pop-ups. I tried to find the ones w/out paywalls! Also some of them are a few years ago, but that just means these issues have been going on for so long!
If anything, someone reblog with better sources, that will be highly appreciated!
Quitting Vaping in Solidarity with Congo from ShowTimeCY
The DRC Mining Industry from WilsonCenter.Org
Why Cobalt Mining in the Democratic Republic of Congo Needs Urgent Attention from Council of Foreign Relations
How modern day slavery powers the rechargable battery economy from npr.org
Boycotts List by Ethical consumer (Idk if this is a long exhaustive list BUT it already lists illegal things Israeli companies have been doing!)
And finally, one of the best reasons why we should put a lid on buying new and useless stuff, ESPECIALLY since they're not made to last!
Planned Obsolescence: What is it and how to overcome it from Sierra magazine
(to further hone in all these points below is my ipod nano! Bought back in 2015! In my memory the iPod nano came out 2012-ish! Correct me if I'm wrong! Btw it still works!)
