My SE has been kept alive with tape, rice and unholy rituals for these past six years, but it has finally earned its rest.

I’ll always remember you, IPhone SE. You saved me from a fate suffered by so many of my peers, because your inability to download social media apps other than Pinterest stopped me from ever getting addicted to TikTok, Insta or Snapchat. While most of my classmates spent hours of their lives doomscrolling, I was bedrotting on the notes app, one of the only things that actually worked.

I’ll always remember you. How sometimes your SIM card stopped working for a few days. How you dropped from 100% to 25% when I sent a single text message. How you survived falling in a river not once but twice. How your camera sometimes wouldn’t work for no explainable reason.

I remember the day you fell out of my bag when i was walking home from school and I found you on still there on the path the next morning because nobody wanted to take you. I remember how that little corner glowed when I charged you, and I never figured out why that happened. (It randomly started one day lol)

Let’s have a moment of silence for my IPhone SE, as we welcome it’s replacement. You served me well, phone. You’ve earned your peace.
