People are noticing that the Grandfest tent seems to be on fire, and some are taking this as a bad omen…

But in my opinion, this seems to allude to Grandfest being inspired by Burning Man!

Both the Grandfest and Burning Man:

Are huge events, causing thousands of individuals to travel out to see them

Take place in the desert (or, at least, a more desert-like area)

Are all about creating and celebrating art (since Splatoon places a lot of importance on the music in this fest, as well as through the series in general)

Have an emphasis on outlandish outfits of a similar style…

And, of course:

Might close out with burning down the centerpiece!
