I had to get the bus today (rude) and it was was late so I was panicking, thinking it just wasn't gonna show up like one didn't yesterday... But it did (thank fuck) and the bus driver was a right laugh.
So, picture this:
I'm joking with bus driver about how I'm happy bus arrived even if it was a few mins late bc yesterday one just didn't show and the bus driver jokes back and mentions the app for these buses (because of course there's a specific bus app for the buses ran by this specific company) to track the buses with and see the routes and live locations etc and these two teenage girls (who has been silent until this point) just go feral ranting about the app being the Worst Thing In The World because it's got crappy tracking for bus locations (it does, it's so bad omg) and you always have to just text the number for your stop instead to find out where the fuck your bus is (you do, it's ridiculous).
The driver goes on about the hyperbole of "worst thing in the world" and argues that the Real Worst Thing In The World™ is actually the Fiat Multipla which fair (he told us all to look it up and yeah, who the fuck designed that??? Jfc it's just wrong) and one of the girls went on about how the app was still the worst even as we started listing other examples like wet socks ("nah, I can deal with that, but not thinking my bus is twenty minutes away in X town when it's actually round the corner and I miss it!") and phone signals.
And, hands down, this is a fucking quote, this teenage girl just outright says she'd prefer a Nokia brick to an iPhone Pro 15 Max with 5G because she can't get signal and "I'd be murdered in X because I can't ring anymore but my granddad would screw them over because he never not has signal!"
And I honest to gods fucking started laughing hearing these two teenage girls, probably 14 or 15, waxing lyrical about Nokia brick phones and their amazing phone signal and how touch they are all because one of them had forgotten their phone one day and had to borrow a "flip phone with real buttons that you have to press like four times to get one letter" on it to look up bus times.
I think I pulled a muscle tbh.
* The Fiat Multipla is a really ugly car tho, the bus driver is definitely right about that.

Are iPhone Batteries Losing Capacity Too Quickly?
Recent discussions have revolved around the iPhone's battery lifespan, with numerous users expressing concerns about their iPhone 14 batteries dropping to around 90% capacity or even lower. Apple's official stance on the matter states that their lithium-ion batteries are engineered to retain a minimum of 80% original capacity across a substantial number of charge cycles, with the specific count varying based on the product.
Taking a closer look at my own iPhone 13 Pro, I've observed that it currently boasts a maximum capacity of 95%, having undergone 297 charge cycles in the span of 13 months, which equates to roughly 1.38 days per cycle. A point of intrigue lies in the interplay between maximum capacity and cycle count. In a fascinating twist, my iPhone 13 Pro's battery capacity during the manufacturing phase measured a robust 3174 mAh, surpassing Apple's officially documented 3095 mAh.
This intriguing phenomenon appears to hold true for every one of the five iPhones within my household. Cycle count, the next pivotal factor, emerges into the spotlight. The fact that I've accrued 297 cycles over a span of 411 days prompts contemplation. Apple aptly clarifies this aspect in their explanations. Yet, when we attempt to mesh the concept of 95% capacity into this narrative, it appears to be a divergent tangent.
My own computations reveal that the 95% capacity figure doesn't neatly correlate. Upon closer examination, my current full charge capacity stands at 2964 mAh. By extrapolating the math, my original manufactured capacity tallied up to 3174 mAh, culminating in a present capacity of 93.38%. If we recalibrate these figures against Apple's design capacity of 3095 mAh, the recalculated percentage stands at 95.77%.
In the grand scheme of things, is this truly an issue? My perspective leans toward the negative. Operating under the assumption that the 80% threshold represents the point at which Apple might consider battery replacement, I find myself comfortably distant from that juncture, potentially even a few hundred cycles away.
Notably, instances have surfaced wherein phones exhibit around 80% capacity after undergoing upwards of 800 cycles in less than a year.
iPhone 14 battery drain is a thing. People talking about it on TikTok. I’ve never used MagSafe charger, but mine already at 88% 😵💫 pic.twitter.com/PW9CKs6aRu

In essence, the ongoing discourse surrounding iPhone battery life warrants consideration. By dissecting the interplay between capacity, cycle count, and manufacturer specifications, it's clear that the situation isn't as dire as some might suggest. Remaining well above the 80% capacity threshold, I'm left reassured about the longevity of my device's battery and the resiliency of Apple's engineering.

GET TO KNOW THE BLOGGER .
Can be used for RP and non-RP blogs to get to know a bit about the person behind the screen!
1. FIRST NAME: emmett
2. STRANGE FACT ABOUT YOURSELF: i have an overall weird talent for mimicking character voices, but the most notable one is Stitch from Lilo and Stitch
3. TOP THREE PHYSICAL THINGS YOU FIND ATTRACTIVE ON A PERSON: -✧ eyes, definitely, even though it’s a bit of an oxymoron because of how much i HATE making direct eye-contact in conversation, but i like eyes when i can look and the person isn’t looking directly at me -✧ how a person smiles is a big one, because happiness is really heckin beautiful and it’s even better if i know i’m the cause of a smile -✧ freckles. i absolutely love freckles, like, the more the merrier. it’s like having constellations on their skin, like the universe doused them in glitter idk, they’re just super pretty
4. A FOOD YOU COULD EAT FOREVER AND NOT GET BORED OF: mac n cheese, esp if it’s nice and gooey with lots of melted cheese. i go absolutely ham for good mac n cheese lol
5. A FOOD YOU HATE: i don’t really care for beans of any sort. baked beans are an exception but, like, they gotta be the sweet kind. i hate sausage, in general, esp breakfast sausage because the smell just makes my stomach feel bleugh
6. GUILTY PLEASURE: collecting stupid quarter machine figurines and writing complex, self-insert fanfiction in my head that never make it into written form because i am not brave enough to actually write any of that shit down lmao
7. WHAT DO YOU SLEEP IN: leggings and a t-shirt, sometimes just a shirt and nothin else cuz i live in florida in a house with no central air and it’s HOT don’t judge
8. SERIOUS RELATIONSHIPS OR FLINGS: serious, but only because i’m not emotionally capable of flings and i have to get p close to someone for anything bedroom-related to come up, and if it’s gotten to that point i’m definitely already HELLA ATTACHED and probably already telling the person ‘love you’ in casual conversation
9. IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN THE PAST AND CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT YOUR LIFE, WOULD YOU AND WHAT WOULD IT BE: i honestly don’t know about this because, like, ideally i would have left my parents house way earlier than i did, or at least tried to assert my demand to be treated like a human being way earlier, but, then again, everything that’s happened in my life has led me to the point i’m at today and if things had gone just slightly different, i might not have met my husband, or i might not be as sure of my gender identity as i am now. so, like, even though a lot of things in my past REALLY SUCKED, there’s only a specific few things i might change but even then i’d be hesitant about it because i like how my life is now, even with all the shit i had to struggle through to get here.
10. ARE YOU AN AFFECTIONATE PERSON: probably, yeah, i am def that touch-starved bitch who craves physical affection, be it platonic, romantic, or otherwise. i’m not down to hug or cuddle with a stranger but, like, if i’m friends with someone and know they’re cool with it, they’re gettin loved on
11. A MOVIE YOU COULD WATCH OVER AND OVER AGAIN: all of the LoTR/Hobbit movies, any Studio Ghibli film, the last unicorn, WOLF CHILDREN EVEN THO IT MAKES ME LITTLE-GIRL SOB EVERY TIME, Venom, Detective Pikachu, THE PRINCESS BRIDE
12. FAVORITE BOOK: island of the blue dolphins, the entire animorphs series, DRAGONRIDERS OF PERN SERIES, actually just about any book with dragons in it where the dragons are complex and not evil is absolutely my jam, the Abhorsen series, also the Hunger Games... i don’t really have one specific favorite book that’s literally impossible to decide lol
13. YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KEEP ANY ANIMAL AS A PET, WHAT DO YOU CHOOSE: anything that isn’t a spider or a bug that can inflict bodily harm unto my person. i just really love all animals okay just gimme a farm house or a ranch so i can have ALL of my favorite animals in one place that’d be ideal. but if i had to pick just one i’d want my cat because she’s the best little girl and i’ve only had her for 4 days but i would die for this chaotic little ball of fluff you have no idea. i am incomplete without a cat at my side
14. TOP FIVE FICTIONAL SHIPS [IF YOU ARE AN RP BLOG, YOU CAN USE YOUR OWN SHIPS AS WELL]: (FMA) ed/winry or ed/ling, just let the kids be happy, (WITCHER) geralt/jaskier/yen, because geralt has two hands and both of them deserve to be held, (FMA) greed/not dying au’s, I JUST WANT MY BOY TO HAVE A HAPPY ENDING IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR?, (ATLA) katara/zuko/aang, lemme have my loving polyam pairings, (ADVENTURE ZONE) taako/kravitz, because the bar doesn’t get much higher than seducing the grim reaper with threat of tentacles
15. PIE OR CAKE: i literally cannot choose between the two, i have favorites from both categories and i BAKE so that makes it even harder
16. FAVORITE SCENT: vanilla, peaches, and books
17. CELEBRITY CRUSH: brendan urie or kiera knightley... also david tennant
18. IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE, WHERE WOULD YOU GO: new zealand, because i’m a nerd and that’s where LoTR was filmed, but i’d also like to go to japan
19. INTROVERT OR EXTROVERT: definitely an introvert
20. DO YOU SCARE EASILY: very much so, but i do still enjoy horror themes in movies and games, even if i can’t play most games myself and have to watch lets plays of them
21. IPHONE OR ANDROID: i’ve only ever had android phones. the only apple device i ever had was an iPad but since i was only using it for art i don’t have much of an opinion on it beyond that lol
22. DO YOU PLAY ANY VIDEO GAMES: i’m currently playing the witcher 3, whichever final fantasy has Noctis in it- i don’t know what the number is because i have a hard time reading roman numerals, kingdom hearts 3, and animal crossing new leaf (if any of you also play i am welcome to giving out my friend code if you’re interested!)
23. DREAM JOB: making a living off my art, or even getting into video game design
24. WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH A MILLION DOLLARS: pay off debt/overdue bills, finally get hormone therapy and top surgery, and get myself and my friends and chosen family into a better house and away from abusive situations
25. FICTIONAL CHARACTER YOU HATE: i don’t think there are any characters that i hate tbh, i might hate things that certain characters DO, but that’s not the same as hating the character itself. from a design perspective, though, Tingle from LOZ can fuck right off, actually. WAIT SCRATCH THAT. SHOU TUCKER CAN SWALLOW A CACTUS WHOLE. that is all. ahem.
26. FANDOM THAT YOU WERE ONCE A PART OF BUT AREN’T ANY LONGER: twi//light, until i realized just how gross smeyer was and how her writing is, objectively, not as great as everyone made it out to be

Is there anyone you work with that you don't get along with? Why? I'm always civil with everyone, and when I get mad at someone I make sure it’s because they really fucked up on a task, and not just because I don’t like their personality or whatever. I’ve always just felt like butting heads with someone is only going to affect my work, so I try not to clash with people. If I don’t like someone for any reason, I usually just minimize my interactions with them. Have you ever been romantically interested in a coworker? ...Does a classmate count? I started crushing on Gab back in high school lol. Have you ever been romantically involved with a coworker? ^ Same question. Do you have any thoughts on a 14-year age-gap? Not a fan. Age gaps in general scare me away, though I think it’s because I’ve only been with someone of the same age. What is the game you're currently playing most often on your phone? Bitlife. It’s like a simpler Sims.
What is your go-to Starbucks order? MAN OH MAN does this question make me miss coffee shops. I get a grande iced caramel macchiato. I get it as is because having so many customization options just makes me overwhelmed. Do you have any friends that you're drifting apart from? I don’t think so. We all just have to be apart right now but once we can see each other again, I’m 110% sure it’ll only be like we hadn’t seen each other in a day. Are you close to someone who is mentally unwell? I think all my friends aren’t mentally okay to some extent. It’s pretty common in our age group. What phone do you have? iPhone 8. What is the last thing you ordered for delivery? Andrew and I had Chinese food delivered to Skywalk after a particularly brutal verbal beatdown from our thesis adviser who had told us to revise big chunks of our thesis ASAP. I was super stressed so I allowed myself to splurge on the Hong Kong noodles I really liked and I specifically asked for three fucking packets of peanut sauce to drown my noodles in lmao. Do you have an opinion on adopting/purchasing a pet? It’s my preferred way of getting a pet. Adopt and don’t shop, plz. What's your favorite chain restaurant? YABUUUUUUUU. If I reach the point where I only had ₱400 left to my name, I’d still most likely spend it on their katsu. Have you ever dated someone who was of a foreign origin? No...well, Gabie is part Turkish, so kinda? She’s still mostly Filipino though. Have you ever read any of your idol’s books/autobiographies? Out of all the people I fangirl over, only AJ has produced an autobiography and yes, I have her book. Oh I have One Direction’s first book too, but I haven’t been able to buy the next ones that came out. Do you own any succulents? Nope. Can’t take care of plants to save my life. When was the last time you climbed a tree? I’ve never done that, all the trees here have red ants. :/ If you have any pets, how would you describe their personalities? Kimi’s an absolute diva and chooses to follow, listen to, and be sweet with only me. He’ll be super nice when he’s asking for food, but will be quick to stop minding you completely once he’s gotten enough food from you. We give him a pass since he’s a senior dog now, but he’s definitely the snobby type hahaha. What is your phone's background? My home screen is of Hayley Williams; my lock screen is of Beyoncé and Jay-Z on stage. Who played at the last concert you went to? Paramore. Who is playing at the next concert you're attending? I’m really fucking hoping it’s going to be Beyoncé because she’s the only artist left I have yet to see lmao but if not, I’m most likely going to see Paramore again. What's your favorite amusement park ride? I like riding the octopus, but only the one in my high school’s fair. What's your favorite deep-fried food item? Corndogs, for sure. Why were you last pulled over? I got confused with the road rules in Alabang and ended up stopping at a red light albeit over a pedestrian lane. Stilllllll pissed about that instance to this day and I’ve never gotten over how rude the traffic enforcer was towards me. Do you have any friends that own a private lake? I don’t think so, we don’t have a lot of lakes here to begin with. What was the last thing you've done on the water? Take a shower, if I understood this question correctly. Canoeing or kayaking? I kayaked in Palawan when we were there and it was so peaceful and felt like absolute heaven. I’d relive that experience over and over again. What's your favorite lake? Like I said, we don’t really have a lot of lakes here. I don’t even know enough to pick a favorite. Are you cool with swimming in a lake? Sure, why not. Do you have a drone? I don’t. I’m not interested in having one. Do you have a smart watch? Nope. I’d love one but tbh I end up losing every watch I ever try to wear, so buying one would be pointless. What's your favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurant? It’s a bar rather than a restaurant, but Exile was such a fun place to be in. I still don’t understand why they had to close down so suddenly when sooooo many college kids were going there every single day. It’s since been replaced by this random shrimp restaurant, though I think that already closed too since no one ever went there because EVERYONE PREFERS EXILE. It was a very important part of my early college years and it helped me get out from my slump, so I’ll always be grateful that it was around at some point. What do you order from there? I don’t even remember anymore, it shut down two or three years ago. I’ll see if their menu is still up on Zomato... andddd it’s not. It’s like it never existed, sigh. What's your favorite ice-cream flavor? Cookies and cream. They jack up the prices for Ben & Jerry’s here like CRAZY so even though I’ve wanted to try so many of their flavors, I’ve never gotten to try it. I’m not paying ₱500-₱600 for ice cream. Do you have any t-shirts from any local businesses? Yes, I have a couple of shirts from this local business called Artwork. Their employees, who are also artists, produce original designs on t-shirts, bags, pins, shoes, wallets, etc. every week so every time I visit the store, the selection is almost always completely brand new. What is your prettiest friend's first name? Gabriela, hehe. Who is your favorite comedian? Not really into comedians. I like Andy Samberg’s work, but mostly only for Brooklyn Nine-Nine. What's your favorite Netflix series? Queer Eye or Black Mirror, if we’re talking about original Netflix series. Do you listen to any talk shows or podcasts? I regularly tuned in to a morning radio program when I’d drive to school before quarantine started, but that’s it. Do you know anyone who's had their own podcast? Nope, but I have friends and acquaintances who have released other stuff, like vlogs and EPs. Where were you the last time you stayed in a hotel? Cavite. What are you looking forward to, today? Mom bought shawarma so I can’t wait to eat them tonight. What are you looking forward to, in the next few months? For this Covid mess to finally blow over so I can have an actual, tangible graduation and see all my friends again. Are you a dog or a cat person? Dog. Without. A. Doubt. Do you know anyone who is freaked out by cats? Me. They never liked me no matter how nice I am with them, so I can never be around one for more than a minute. There’s only one cat that’s been nice to me – one of the cats that roam around the college, we call him Ginger – but even then, sometimes his claws can get super sharp when we play and it pierces my skin and I get scared, ahuhu. I’m sure cats are super nice and that they make for great pets, but we just can’t ever bond lol. Do you know any with Crohn's disease? No.

Emerging Practices Analysis - Google Glass
I haven’t been fully on par with the deadlines for this ‘formative’ assessment and didn’t complete it in its original timeline. instead I heard the ways to improve it and analyse better, before I had even completed the analysis. Luckily for me this laziness has turned positive by allowing me to become more informed on how to complete the analysis now that I have completed it and hopefully helps me later in the semester when I have chosen my real Emerging Technology to analyze.
Google Glass:
youtube
What was Google Glass?
“Google Glass is the future of communication in the mobile industry”
- A fan of Google, 2013
In 2013 Google released Google Glass which at the time seemed to be one of the next big things and held a lot of promise. It is easy to laugh at it now, six years later in 2019 after its failure. However, in its day Glass held a lot of promise and it seemed to be something we’d one day all have.
Glass launched in 2013 and sold its ‘Explorer Edition’ to a small limited market for the price of $1500 USD. Looking back it, the specs were quite reasonable for its time and it made it seem like a successful device. Google Glasses technical specifications were close to that of the Samsung Galaxy S3 - which at the time was the Samsung flagship model of phone and was released one year before Glass, making it similar to having the same specifications as a Samsung Galaxy S9 - which would be pretty incredible.
Google Glass Specifications:
720p Camera
2 GB RAM
16 GB Internal Storage
640 x 360 Display
Wifi, Bluetooth & Micro USB Input
This means that if Google Glass was to have launched in 2019 it specifications may look similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S9 (the flagship Samsung model one year ago) which would around double the existing specifications and make it appear as a useful device with a capable level of hardware.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-Gwb61aAq4
After watching the 2013 Google Glass commercial it still seems like a cool device and takes me back to being a 14 year old who saw it and went ‘wow’. I had an old iPhone 3GS at the time and an unreliable Dell E6400 laptop from the late 2000′s. Seeing this made me think of the future and the awesome devices I’d have. I thought of the day I’d be able to afford Google Glass and be on the edge of technology seeing how wearables would change our lives.
Google Glass really looked like it would have succeeded in its day - and I think if its issues were handled correctly then maybe it could have. After watching it’s ‘how to - getting started’ video I still see it holding up today and something I’d like to try out as a novelty - but I don’t see it becoming part of my life. Similar to how I find VR fun to play around with but I don’t want to have VR in my life daily.
youtube
After analysis with Winner’s 1986 I believe that Glass stayed incredibility neutral in and after its 2013 release as it didn’t have much impact globally. To have a positive or negative effect on the world - the technology in consideration needs to have impact to gain its place and reputation. Writers analysis takes me to the later release of Glass which holds more promise. This re-iteration takes Glass into the business world and out of the consumer world to give it a more realistic use.
Though Google Glass didn’t succeed it doesn’t mean that smart glasses won’t, or that wearable technology won’t.
In 2019 we have seen multiple iterations of smart watches and some which were quite successful such as the Apple Watch and Fitbit. I believe that smart glasses were right at the original trigger of the technology back in 2013, and we may be sitting in the through of disillusionment now.
youtube
After seeing these 2018 Smart Glasses by North I was intrigued. I watched the commercial and their design was sleek both in the hardware and the software. I initially wanted them, then after reading multiple reviews I saw that all of the features they can do are literally only the ones shown in the video. The hardware is there for it’s time once again, but finding the proper use for them through the software has not been achieved rendering them obsolete and keeping the technology in the ‘trough’.

What We Look For And Have Purchased During Prime Day: There are a lot of big-ticket items that go on sales during the day. These are usually on many people's lists and they get bought up very quickly. We tend to look for smaller items. This has been a good strategy and we have gotten some great deals. Though it looks like folks are catching on as Prime Day is becoming more and more popular and looking for these types of deals as well. Batteries A lot of products, especially kid toys need AA and AAA batteries. Amazon has had some great deals on these by a major brand and, as of late, on their own brand. Memory cards SD cards are usually under the radar but also necessary in many travel gadgets from digital cameras, video cameras, to phones. Portable chargers Just like batteries, you will not get far without a phone charger to charge up your travel gadgets, your phone, and tablet. We got the Anker PowerCore 10000. It is one of the smallest and lightest chargers with a 10,000mAh battery. It weighs about 6 oz. PowerCore has a capacity for 3 full phone charges. In the previous year, we have also got the Anker Astro Candy-Bar, which is about the same size as a candy bar and comes with 6,700mAh. It is great for travel as it fits easily not only in bags but also in pockets and pocketbooks.
LifeStraw personal water filter
You can also do a lot of the deal searching and buying on the go using the Amazon mobile apps. Visit amazon.com/app from your mobile browser to download the app. Make your list now of all the items you need and want so you are ready for when the deals start streaming. Prime Day Shopping List (Printable) And don't forget in the meantime, or while shopping, you can enjoy some great tunes with Amazon Music What gadgets and travel deals were the most popular last year: Audible Memberships Kindle Paperwhite – Now Waterproof with 2x the Storage

Apple animal crossing
While the update is said to be happening before the end of the month, fans of the mobile app do not have a specific date that they can expect the patch to be released. Here are some of the ideas for your Animal Crossing island tunes. It can be some random funny tunes or even the theme of your favorite movie. Since the application was unprepared for the update, it will take a little while longer for fans to enjoy both the Animal Crossing look and game on their Apple devices. One of the most interesting and unique features of Animal Crossing: New Horizons is customizing your town tune. Her catchphrase is a reference to the term 'apple-cheeked', which is used to describe someone with round, rosy cheeks, which Apple has. I wanted to draw my Animal Crossing villagers & I thought it would be cute. While players can now deck out their phones with this Animal Crossing theme, the iPhones that are able to run this look on their home screen will have to miss out on Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, the mobile app. Apple (, Appuru, Apple) is a peppy hamster villager in the Animal Crossing series. A lovingly curated selection of 1 free hd Apple (Animal Crossing) wallpapers and background images. See a recent post on Tumblr from bettykwong about animal crossing apple.
RELATED: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Fan Recreates Nook's Cranny as Cat House This icon set and wallpaper is available for iOS and Android systems. The designer also created an expansion of an extra 23 icons that players can use to replace the initial app icons. It makes sense that the first game in the Animal Crossing series to give villagers their own cell phones, which they can use to redeem Nook Miles, access their friend list, and check which fish and bugs they've previously caught, would inspire iOS 14 home screen designs. This user took to Twitter to share her Animal Crossing: New Horizons designs, and the post quickly racked up views on the social media site. One such user decided to share the icons she created in the style of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Many users have gotten creative with their phone's home screen aesthetics and have shared them online. Since the most recent iOS update, users can now customize their home screen layouts for Apple mobile devices in more specific ways.

a post no one asked for!
hello so i reblogged a questionnaire a lil bit ago and i’m going to answer them now because...why not
1. how old are you?
im 18!
2. are you in high school or college(university)?
college
3. what year or grade are you in high school or (university)?
im a freshman in college
4. what is your school’s grading system look like? do you like it? what problems do you have with it, if any?
so my university has a standard letter grade system for most classes and pass/fail for some courses that don’t really need a grade. i do like it because it’s what i’m used to, however, a lot of times having a letter grade system can be more stressful because it makes you feel like anything but some kind of A is mediocre and not good enough, when in reality, a 75% or above is better than average.
5. if you are in high school do you plan on going to university or college? if you are in college do you plan on finishing and if you do, do you plan on continuing on to other graduate or professional schools?
i plan on going to veterinary school after i finish my undergraduate degree! if i end up changing my major to my second choice(music education is my second choice), then of course I won’t be going to vet school.
6. if you are high school what do you plan to study in college, if you plan to go. if not, what do you plan on doing after high school? if you are in college what is your major? do you plan on changing it?
i am currently studying biochemistry and molecular biology and i have a minor in music! i dont plan on changing it at this point, but if i do, i’d change it to music education.
7. why are you picking or why did you pick what you are currently studying?
i want to go to vet school, and biochemistry has almost all the requirements for vet school admissions. also, i find it interesting
8. do you go/plan to go to community college, technical college, or a four-year institution? how did you make your decision, or how do you plan to?
i am at a 4 year university, and i went here because it fits what i want to do
9. what factors did you consider when picking a college, or what factors do you plan on considering?
the college I chose is in my hometown, which is probably one of the deciding factors(i really wanted to be close to home). the campus is very pretty and small as well, and i really wanted to go to a small college. i could have potentially gone to The Ohio State University because i’m about 20 minutes away, but the camous is so big and i know i would have hated it. the school also has a good music program, soi can continue playing even though it isn’t my major
10. what is your favorite pencil?
i love my muji mechanical pencil and also the papermate clearpoint!
11. what are your top three favorite pens?
pilot juice, muji gel pens, and sharpie pens
12. do you prefer wide-ruled paper, college-ruled, dot-grid, or graph paper?
college ruled is my favorite for class notes, graph paper for revised/nice notes/math work, and blank for planning generally
13. do you use different types of paper for different courses or classes?
i use college ruled for almost everything except math homework(i use graph)
14. do you use a backpack/bag for school or college and what kind is it? why did you choose it? price, quality, function, design?
i use a backpack, i have no idea what brand it is, but its the perfect size for everything i need to take to classes and its also really pretty(it has a black background with flowers on it)
15. what is your favorite outfit to go to class in and why?
i generally wear leggings and a sweatshirt/sweater just because they’re comfy and also look cute! if its warm enough, i wear flip flops but if not, i wear my vans or converse.
16. what is something you always have to have in your backpack or bag?
usually my laptop and pencil case
17. what is your least favorite subject and why?
math!!!!!!! will always hate. guarunteed.
18. have you ever gone to tutoring, if so, how has it helped your academic endeavors?
i have not
19. have you ever seeked academic counseling, if so has it helped you?
i haven’t
20. has your mental health ever suffered during high school or college, and what did you do to cope?
holy shit yes. i suffer from depression and anxiety(depression for almost a year and anxiety for 4 years). i could make a whole post about this but in general, i make sure i give myself time to relax. it can be so so hard to take care of yourself when you suffer with things like this, so even if you can barely get out of bed, try to make time to do things that make you happy. for me, it’s drawing, netflix, and video games.
21. do you like to listen to music when studying? if so, what genre, if you have a playlist share it!
i do listen to music! i just listen to music i like, which is rock/pop punk/alt rock/etc. (here’s one of my playlists!: https://open.spotify.com/user/helenakitten14/playlist/4R6ZGIlz8K5UDEk80cVfV5?si=cXK0z3HTRUKCQSKx9F8tNA )
22. do you prefer to study at a library or at home at your desk?
depends what i’m working on and how much i have to do. if i feel like i have to be totally focused, i go to the library, but if i have some time to take breaks and get distracted, i just stay in my room. I also hate going to the library on my own, so sometimes i stay in my room anyway if no one can come with.
23. what are your top three items you keep on your desk?
my lamp, my laptop, and whatever drink i’m drinking while working( i always have a drink so i avoid snacking lol)
24. do you feel as if you are more productive during the day or in the evenings?
evenings for sure
25. if you exercise, do you feel as if it affects your productivity and if so how?
i do marching band which is usually my exercise, but i don’t work out. working out just exhausts me and i don’t have energy to begin with(ye ye depression)
26. do you participate in any extracurriculars and if so how do you manage your time?
marching band and wind ensemble! i’m also joing KKPsi, which is an honorary fraternity for music service! i am not great at time management, however, i plan out everything to hold myself accountable
27. do you use a bullet journal, a planner, or to-do lists? do you use a combination of all three?
i use a combo of all three! i’ve been bullet journalling a lot recently, but i also use a planner during busy weeks when i dont have time to make a spread and i make to do lists for weekends
28. do you have a note-taking style?
nothing specific
29. do you have a color-coding system?
i like to make every different topic/spread a different color. also, when i make notes, i like to highlight vocab words.
30. what do you believe is one of the most overrated studyblr trends?
100 days of productivity. its impossible to be completely productive for 100 days straight. shit happens, and i understand the purpose of the 100 days challenge, but i think it also takes a toll on you mentally.
31. what are your career goals, how do you plan to reach them?
i want to be a veterinarian or someone that works with animals somehow. i hope to go to vet school and then have my own practice or join another practice.
32. do you use a laptop? if so which model? how does it perform, would you reccomend it? if not, what model would you like?
i use a macbook air! it is nice because it is easy to transport, but occasionally the functionality can be questionable(storage space is always my issue). i do reccommend it, though. if i could get a new laptop, i’d probably get a macbook pro.
33. do you use a tablet? if so which model? how does it perform, would you reccomend it? if not, what model are you interested in?
i don’t, but i think having an iPad would be nice!
34. if you post pictures to tumblr, do you use a camera or your phone, if so, what is the model?
i use my iPhone 6s
35. 0.5, 0.7, or 0.9 pencil lead?
usually .5 or .7
36. 0.5, 0.7, 0.9, or 1.0 pens?
.5
37. how many hours a day do you spend studying? are your hours consistent daily or do they differ depending on assignments and exams?
i tend to study for a majority of the day most days, but it always differs. i have no set timetable
38. how many courses do you take? what are they?
so i am in 8 courses right now. Biology, Gen Chem, Bio Lab, Gen Chem Lab, Calculus I, The History of rock n roll, Wind Ensemble, and Marching band.
39. how long until you graduate? in credit hours, semesters, or years?
i still have 3.5 years left of college, which is 7 semesters
40. how did you find the studyblr community?
honestly i dont remember, it was so long ago
41. how did the studyblr community impact you?
i was in a big funk my sophomore year of high school. i had no motivation, i hated learning, i hated everything tbh. but them i found this community and it inspired me and showed me that studying can be fun and pretty while also being a learning experience!
42. do you go to school in the day or night?
day!
43. what is something you are too afraid to be involved in at school or college and why?
in high school, i was very afraid to get involved with a lot of things, such as theatre and some other clubs just because of anxiety.
44. do you type or write your notes?
i write them mostly, but my biology professor talks really fast so i usually type notes for his class
45. what do you do on your breaks from studying?

what case should i get for my iphone 13?
As a reminder, the lens area and side button positions of iPhone 13 have changed compared to iPhone 12, and they are not common to iPhone 12. For specific analysis, see: Are GUCCI Leather Phone 12 Case and iPhone 12 protective cases common? Since the iPhone 13 has just been launched, the shelves of major well-known brands are also being actively promoted. I will continue to pay attention and continue to update. If necessary, I suggest to bookmark this article. If there are brands that I particularly want to know, discuss in the message area, I see Will give priority to inquiries.
My main concern is the well-known brands in the market. The catalog function of the article lists the currently collected brands, which can be clicked directly. By the way, iPhone 13 is a regular upgrade and is suitable for those who do not have special requirements for the camera and video shooting functions of mobile phones. If you have requirements for camera professionalism and video post-processing, or require high-resolution screens, you must choose iPhone 13 Pro Max Cover Hermes or Pro Max.
The charging aspect is still 20W. I recommend Anker's Anxin charger, as well as its charger and power bank's two-in-one supercharger. Anker is the only charging brand that Apple officially cooperates in mainland China. I have been using the following products personally . The iPhone 13 is here as promised, and it's not a disappointment or a surprise from styling to performance. If you are in the 11th or 12th generation, then you don't have to spend any more, and wait for another year to take a look at the iPhone 14. And if you are an Xs or Xr user, then it is still necessary to upgrade, after all, Apple has officially pushed IOS 15 to fix the old model is too smooth. When you buy a new phone, you naturally need a phone case, not only for good-looking, but Chanel phone case iphone 13 also for protection. Even if the hardness of the super-ceramic panel surpasses that of the glass panel, it will still fail if it hits hard against the cement floor. Rich people can consider Apple's official shells. A few hundred yuan is really not a problem for them. Most people still choose a variety of third-party mobile phone cases, which are cheap and sufficient in quantity. Although the new phone will not be available for a while, the various mobile phone cases for the iPhone 13 are already available on JD.com. Next, I will introduce a few good ones. Let’s buy a mobile phone case and wait for the iPhone 13 to arrive in the case.
JD.com is JD’s own brand, and its quality and performance are still very guaranteed. Its digital accessories products have been recognized by consumers. This phone case is made of liquid silicone material and has a delicate feel, and the built-in velvet design can also protect the phone more effectively. The lens part adopts a fine hole design to protect the iPhone 13 lens more effectively. The lens part is higher than 0.4mm and the screen part is 0.8mm higher, which effectively protects the lens and screen in daily use. The advantage of the transparent case is that its appearance is relatively high. If you buy the LV case for iphone 12 with the new color matching, then the transparent case will undoubtedly have a better display effect. I have come into contact with the Yise mobile phone case before, and the workmanship and protection are good. The back panel of this transparent protective case is only 0.8mm, and the light transmittance is very high without yellowing after long-term use, which restores the original appearance of the phone to the greatest extent. The corner airbag and the lens all-inclusive design can also effectively protect the phone. Whether the magnetic attraction function of Apple mobile phones is practical or not is a question of whether the benevolent sees the benevolent and the wise. The author thinks that it is very urgent to equip the Apple mobile phone with a small magnetic charging power bank.
Bangks’s magnetic transparent case is very similar to Apple’s official, but the price is more realistic. This mobile phone case uses a polymer antioxidant material, which will not turn yellow after long-term use. The shape of this protective case is not much different from that of the Locke product above. The most important difference is that the back is made of frosted Chanel iphone 13 pro case black material, which can effectively prevent fingerprints. The independent metal buttons are equipped with protective gaskets, which not only have an excellent hand feel, but also protect the phone well. The heightened design of the lens ring can protect the lens very well, and it will not block the shooting of the wide-angle lens. The iPhone 13 adopts a new processor with a great improvement in performance, but it will also bring about heat problems.
This Locke mobile phone case is equipped with a thermally conductive silica gel layer, a graphene layer, a Teflon thermal conductive layer, and a honeycomb heat dissipation hole to allow the mobile phone to dissipate heat faster. Although multilayer technology is used. This time they also launched iPhone 13 related products for the first time. The frame of this mobile phone case is available in black and blue, and the back panel is designed with high transparency. The lens and screen edges are slightly higher than the mobile phone, and the four corners are also designed with airbags. The protection of the mobile phone is still in place. The lens part of this Chanel iphone 13 case cute adopts a large hole design. Although it is not as protective as a fine hole design product, it can also better show the original appearance of the phone. The shape of this protective case is not much different from that of the Locke product above. The most important difference is that the back is made of frosted material, which can effectively prevent fingerprints. The independent metal buttons are equipped with protective gaskets, which not only have an excellent hand feel, but also protect the phone well. The heightened design of the lens ring can protect the lens very well, and it will not block the shooting of the wide-angle lens.

THE BEST SMARTWATCH YOU CAN BUY: APPLE WATCH SERIES 7 REVIEW
Smartwatch technology has come a long way since the first release of the Apple Watch. The best smartwatch you can buy, the Series 7 Apple Watch is bigger and better than ever. It starts at $399 for cellular models and comes in two sizes: 41mm or 45mm. With a larger screen, this watch will be easier to read while on-the-go without sacrificing battery life. These are just some of the features that make it our number one choice for anyone looking for a good quality Smartwatch!
I’ve been testing the new Apple Watch Series 7 for about a week ahead of its release Friday and so far I'm loving it. The watch is more durable, has a bigger screen that's easier on your eyes (plus you can fit two lines into one!), as well as shorter charging times thanks to their speedy Quick Charge feature! Apple doesn’t break out its watch revenue the way it does for iPad, iPhone and Mac. However, Apple's Wearables business - which includes Apple Watch as well as other wearables such as AirPods to compete better with other players in this market segment- generated $8.7 billion during their fiscal third quarter more than either of those two product categories!
Apple's latest quarterly sales numbers are out, and they're staggering. The company shipped an estimated 14 million watches in just four months - that's more than half of all smartwatches sold last year! And with 49% growth over 2019 so far, it seems like this device will be here to stay for awhile too. Research firm Canalys said earlier today that Apple had the highest market share during Q4 2020 at 25%. This comes after being on top in terms off TCY49 (~25%) since its launch back when we were still getting accustomed.
I love how the Apple Watch is such a versatile device that can hold your entire life in it. It's like magic! I was having this conversation with my friend and she told me about some stats from apple: 75% of customers buy their first ever smartwatch at an AAPL store, so we decided to do some research on our own... turns out most people who purchase these devices don't already have one - which makes sense considering they cost more than $300 dollars (which isn’t cheap). But what really stands out for us as consumers I think would be those two numbers- 28 per cent bought another kind pf wearable because there were “too many options" while just over 50 percent.
If you're looking for the best deal on an Apple Watch, look no further than this one. It starts at $399 with all of its included features and upgrades! If your current device is older than Series 3 or has some other limitations in terms of usability then I would highly recommend upgrading before it's too late - there are plenty here to justify purchasing again.
If the Apple Watch is a bit too expensive for your taste, there's an option that will suit you just as well: The cheaper Series 3. For $279 (and sometimes even lower), this device provides more features than any other smartwatch out on the market today! I would skip buying into 2018’s model which can be purchased at its original price of 199 Dollars but comes with outdated technology and capabilities not worth getting when newer models exist - such as my top pick right here: The Apple Watch SE ($279).
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE NEW APPLE WATCH SERIES 7:
The Apple Watch Series 7 is the best smartwatch you can buy. It has an easy-to-use interface and remains reliable despite its affordability, which makes it our top pick for those who want to go wireless with their tech. This device doesn't just provide notifications either - watch faces allow users more customization options so they always know what's going on at all times. Apple has been at the forefront of wearable technology for years and still dominates in this competitive space. Their devices offer long battery life, easy access to health data with an app store full of third party apps designed specifically around fitness needs or other interests such as running marathons without having your phone while traveling internationally on vacation!
The larger screen is the biggest difference this year. You get 20% more screen area compared with last year's model and over 50% bigger than Apple Watch Series 3, which now sort of looks like a tiny stamp in comparison! The curve of the device makes it look like someone is turning over pages as you scroll.
The bigger screen is more than just nicer to look at. It's easier to type in a passcode since the buttons are larger, and I liked that I could see more on my map while walking around our neighborhood as well as read text better with things like emails or messages popping up! The watch also offers a touch keyboard that works really well. So, you can swipe or tap out messages right on your wrist to respond how someone else might want them said! The new Modular Duo watch face lets me view more information without cluttering up my screen at one time - it's perfect for those busy days ahead when things have gotten too hectic already as is with today being Friday evening but there are still many hours left over before bedtime blesses us all again soon enough.
When I first got my watch, the screen was so tiny it felt like someone had shrunken down an entire life. But now with a larger face and custom complications for music-listening apps or weather forecasts in addition to all of your appointments on there...you can really go anywhere without being distracted by anything else!
I also like that the new Apple Watch can charge to 80% in 45 minutes. It’s helpful if you just want to top up for a few minutes before bed and have enough battery life so your sleep tracking works properly, without draining too quickly or leaving me with an dead device at night when I need it most.
With an 8-minute charge, you can get up to eight hours of sleep tracking. I found that the fast charger was useful one day when my battery died before heading out for a run and it gave me extra time because now not only am I fully charged but also had enough power left over in case anything unexpected happened along the way! The watch comes with its own built-in cable so there's no need too buy another expensive thing like previous models did; instead these days all we gotta do is grab ourselves some new clothes from our closets or drawers then tie them into knots around our necks just right - voila!, Instant RunningNNNNN!!!! Apple is introducing a new, more durable Apple Watch. The Series 7 model has been designed with the user in mind and provides all-day battery life so you can stay on top of your game without plugging it in at night or during activities where power may run low like workouts! It also comes standard with sapphire glass which makes screen protection even stronger than before; this means fewer broken screens when dropped onto concrete from five feet up (ouch), but don't worry--cracks will still occur if they're deep enough to allow water penetration through into layers beneath."
Now, I don't have to worry about getting sand in my Apple Watch. With the Series 7 GPS enabled smartwatch's water resistance rating of up 50 meters- not just for swimming pools but also oceans or lakes too - this means that you can go pretty much anywhere with your new high tech gadget and never miss an important call because it won’t get damaged by wet environments like before!
The Always on Display is a must-have for me, and it works well with the Apple Watch Series 7. I like that my watch can show me time without having to lift up from its wrist strap or press any buttons! Apple says they are now 70% brighter inside with your wrist down, which should make them easier to see. I have never really had a problem reading the screen but others report that it is much clearer when they use their phone in direct sunlight or places without many lights around so this might be worth checking before you buy one!
When I first got the Apple Watch, it was a love at first sight. The interface of its operating system and how seamlessly everything syncs made me feel like this new device could only bring good into my life!. The tight integration with iPhone has been really convenient as well - all those notifications on CarPlay make driving easier without even looking down from your view out window or taking any other hands off the wheel during lulls in traffic.
I always have a tough time deciding whether or not to bring my phone on vacation with me, but after trying out the cellular model recently I can leave it at home and still use this watch for almost everything else. From calling up family members while away from them in an emergency situation (or just talking about what happened that day), streaming music through Apple CarPlay thanks to its built-in speakers/headphones combo jack, using MapMyRun's fitness tracking app which gives you directions as well as distance traveled during workouts along those routes -- all without getting lost! I'm more likely going away somewhere where there will be no service whatsoever--like camping outside of town hiking trails.
With a collection of apps for every need, the Fitbit Alta HR is one device you won't want to miss out on. This wristwatch includes an updated design and more features than any other fitness tracker currently available! From tracking steps taken per day as well as floors climbed during daily activities or sleep habits with its high-quality built in sensors; all this information can be accessed from your phone via Bluetooth connectivity so there's never been an easier way to stay healthy without having too much technology weighing down your life while it simplifies yours simultaneously
The Apple subscription service is a great way to get fit and do it all in one place. I use Fitness+, which has indoor cycling classes for me, my wife likes using yoga with the app on her phone that she just got last week from this company called "Fitness+." And if you want access too Apples' new meditation features - we can help out there as well!.
The Series 7 GPS watches from Garmin are the only ones I could find that can track blood oxygen, which is great because you may want to keep an eye on your hiking during higher altitudes. It also has a heart app if my doctor wants me too; it runs those sorts of tests at her office but mine never asked for this feature so far and instead checks most things with just his wristband-based device like ECG readings or something similar.
I was really hoping that the Apple Watch Series 7 would be able to last longer than 18 hours with a single charge, but it only lasts about as long as most other watches. I don’t like having such anxiety over not being able-to constantly know when my device needs recharging because even though this watch does have an inductive charger which is supposed make things easier by allowing you just plop down and start using your new smartwatch without worrying if there will ever come a time where we need both hands free for something else! I mean sure its nice they say up tp 36 days on standby mode or 8 weeks unplugged.
The faster charger definitely helps, but sometimes I still worry that my phone will run out of battery before reaching a charging station. The thinner the better has always been on my list for what’s important in gadgets-to be lightweight enough so you can carry it with ease or even take it running without feeling too weighed down by its size! If only they had come up with something thin and light... But alas there are no easy solutions when designing powerhouses like iPhones these days because not only do we need them big enough to last all day long (which usually means 2 charges) but also have plenty more juice stored inside than say Samsung Galaxy S series smartphones which typically sport 18650 cells.
Have you ever wished your Apple devices could charge faster? The new MacBook Pro with Retina display is the answer. It comes bundled with a charging cable, but it doesn’t come equipped without its own power plug or plugin so that users can partially utilize their existing outlets in order to take advantage of easier nationwide access for recharging on any 7-watt USB type C socket—provided they are using an iPad charger! If this isn't enough information then read ahead as I go into detail about how much better these chargers work when paired up together vs having just one standard 3 pin American style wall wart brick purveyors accustomed fare through old school technology while still managing minimalism at heart.
Is it a good choice to buy it?
The Series 7 is a great Watch for someone who wants to upgrade their Watch, but it's more expensive than other options. It offers faster charging and improved durability thanks to its lead-free design which means you can buy fewer repairs in the future! The big selling point here? This device has an edgewise screen so if your carrier doesn't offer something else then go ahead with this one - I recommend telling everyone that comes into contact with them about how much better things are now because even though there was some initial hiccup or two when releasing these newer models (namely battery Rage), users should start seeing less issues soon enough anyway as manufacturers find ways around problems like overheating problems caused by.
The Apple Watch is a great buy, but it's not without its flaws. For one thing you might be disappointed that the SE comes with just Sir watch face and no other apps which can be found on an iPhone or iPad - this could have been easily rectified by getting another product from them instead of saving money now for something else down the line like maybe healthcare services through their online store "iTunes." The larger screen would've made things easier when trying to read small print at night; plus there are lots more features available nowadays than what were around five years ago! It has dust resistance too--though I'm sure most people don't need such protection today given how much electronics seem always glued together these.
Some key points!
No other smartwatch maker comes close to matching the ease of use and reliability of the new Apple Watch.
The Apple Watch Series 7 charges faster, has a bigger screen and is more durable than earlier models.
If you need a new Apple Watch, you should buy the Series 7 or the Series SE, but skip the Series 3.
Still thinking about getting the $199 Series 3? Don't forget that you'll be missing out on emergency calls, fall detection and more. Consider your options before making this choice!
