Do you think Cu and Cae do dumb shit together
Oh for sure. I imagine they would have fishing competitions with each other. Cu introduces Caeneus to the wonder of Hawaiian shirts and he starts rocking them. Caeneus finds out about how Cu can't turn down any food he's given so he makes him eat weird shit to test it. They definitely try and out drink each other. I think they'd just get along well because they have similar personalities honestly. Also they have like, the Same pose for their sprites in battle which I just think is neat : )

All the stuff I’m getting rid of đŸ˜€ I’m deep cleaning my room and I decided to go through the stuff I’d put away a year or so ago
it’s hard saying goodbye to some of it, but it feels really good to winnow down on stuff I know I don’t have any need or use for. Gonna go donate it this weekend đŸ„ł

CATS!! I can't stop thinking about this musical and these characters! I keep trying to figure out how Id personally translate their designs for things like animation and/or comics. plenty of these I'm not 100% satisfied with and I'm sure they'll change but here's at least my first attempt for posterity. I feel like I drew SO many cats and yet there are SO many I have YET to draw OTL
this musical is making me ill I s2g (affectionately)

Looking back at the interviews and articles leading up to release, the devs talking about how "plenty of players might not even remember Inquisition’s story", how this is the "first Dragon Age game where the combat's actually fun", how the companions this time around "feel fleshed out", "they’re complicated, they have complicated problems, and that’s what’s interesting" - all that was a red flag to me rather than sth to make me excited

I deeply need for non Jews to be able to ask themselves the question "what if my understanding of the war between Israel and Hamas/hezbollah is fundamentally wrong?"
My point here isn't to say that your view is fundamentally wrong despite the fact that I personally believe it is. Put my personal beliefs and your beef with it aside for just one second and humour me.
My point is that if you believe in something strongly and believe your view has integrity and good structure, then making an honest attempt to look at it from an entirely different perspective won't shake it at all. You'll come back being like "okay I still have the same beliefs but now I understand how the other side(s) think." Which, hint hint, improves your ability to debate with and persuade people with perspectives that differ from your own.
I think some of you know that if you actually genuinely allowed your view on the war to be challenged and reevaluated, you'd have to admit that you were wrong, and that terrifies you. Embrace that terror, and hey if you were right to begin with, a genuine research venture into other perspectives won't change that.
And maybe if you do open your minds and find your understanding being shifted, us Jews, Zionist, nonzionist and antizionist alike, will have less antisemitism to deal with. That'd be nice. Personally, I'm tired.
Edit follow up thought: it's like the scientific method. How can you be sure that you're right if you haven't made an effort to try prove yourself wrong first?

Hey like, if you don't want to engage with my MAWS criticism- that's totally fine you know? No one is forcing you to read my metas and criticism on the show. And if you enjoy it, congrats! That's the majority of people, go have fun with them.
I'm a believer in speaking up and filling a space in media criticism when you don't see your perspective reflected. Most of the criticism I've seen of this show is "the villains suck" and generic dudebro talking points. I decided to speak up because I felt my perspective as an Asian viewer was important. And I love writing essays and thinking critically about media with characters I care about. It isn't just whining and complaining.
It's disheartening to write a post that calls out specific instances of performative representation or even outright racist moments in MAWS only to have people not engage in my point at all and say my opinion is "unearned" or I'm dismissed as "ruining the vibes" or "it's just a cutesy show don't take it seriously". Like do you not see how bad it looks that you're able to enjoy a show like that while someone like me doesn't? And you telling me my opinion is unnecessary because it's your fav show? Just don't waste your time, and more importantly- don't waste my time either.

I understand that castoria is in a weird place because she is artoria so ofc she’s a waifu to a lot of people, and she is a very cute and well written character so it’s understandable people like her like that, but also she’s like. Canonically a teen from what I understand? So I feel a little Weird. When people are aggressively horny about her @-@
like, I don’t want to shame anyone, because Artoria has always been in a kind of fucky position age wise anyway, and it’s not really a hill I care enough to die on. But boy. Some of the stuff im seeing from people is. Hmm! Hmm. Alright then.

i think i wouldn’t hate disco elysium’s collage mode nearly as much if it weren’t for 1) the way that it was marketed in such a tasteless, soulless manner, let alone the fact that it was a last ditch distraction from a dead on its feet studio piloted by dumbass thieving execs and released on the day of the court declaration, and 2) those dumbass fucking stickers
like if it had been included with the base game from the start and had been titled something a bit more tasteful and in-line with how i would have liked the feature to be marketed as— something like “exploration mode”, something that perhaps could only be unlocked after completing the game for the first time, AND didn’t have those stupid as hell visually and tonally incongruent with the artstyle stickers, i would have applauded it as a nice little bonus for being able to study and appreciate the 3d models and environments for reference.
#it is just so bleak man.#i have no words left to say for the latest development at zaum studios so instead i will just remember how fucked up this was lol#those stickers are the same energy as that dumbass fucking christmas card they put on steam.#cutesy fanart is awesome and all but don’t muddy the tone of the actual source with it. why is that necessary.#for gods sake what happened to boundaries#again i probably would take a different tone to even the stickers if#it had been done under the original creators (which i don’t think it would have‚ which is my point‚ but say hypothetically it happened)#but with the circumstances the way they are it is impossible to not view it all as tainted with a veneer of absolute tastelessness#and a disrespect to the source material and a sorry attempt to appeal to the shallowest parts of ‘fandom’#like you can add cartoony emoji faces and a sticker with harry and kim as cats. or their hands with the caption ‘best friends!!!’ (wtf lol)#and a frame with a bunch of pride flags being waved around (hard to articulate why i feel doubly annoyed of this one.#your corporate pride parade aesthetic is showing again. also it feels
lazy)#but you can never‚ ever erase the fact that you are parading around a stolen IP that you are entirely out of touch with#and one that you clearly have *no idea what to do with*#(something that we’ve all known for months with these hints but today has finally been basically confirmed as the sequel seems to be#officially cancelled with the last of the original writers’ crew being laid off)#how could you have known what to do with Elysium? how could you ever have?#hope you have fun with your stickers. rot#disco elysium#me talking

Who does it help to call what's happening in Gaza right now a genocide? Because it certainly doesn't help Gazans and Palestinians. The fact of the matter is it currently isn't a genocide. It absolutely is a humanitarian crisis; all wars are. When you're busy constantly calling it a genocide, it doesn't work to bring attention to any risk factors that it could become a genocide later because oh it was already a genocide to begin with.
Far more effective to say hey this is a humanitarian crisis and it's really concerning that so many people have been forced into Rafah which is now being attacked, the lack of access to safe zones and medicine and food and clean water and electricity could possibly turn this into a genocide soon. That helps way more because then you can actually hear the alarm bells.
And hey, then maybe people might see more urgency to examine why there's this lack of access to critical resources. Maybe then more people will realise that Hamas has been stealing all aid resources and depriving Gazans of what they so desperately need.
But if you actually want to help Palestinians and Gazans, think about what you're saying because right now all that's achieved by calling this a genocide already is A) distracting from the warning signs and B) boosting your own damn egos.
