Duo WUJUD (Souad Mani & Romain Papion), Empreinte carbone sur le Lieu Unique, les ateliers de Bitche, Nantes, Juillet 2023. œuvre interactive en réseau, Nantes, Live en continu du 6 Juillet au 16 Juillet. Oeuvre In Situ réalisée dans le cadre de l’exposition Afèq آفاق, les lignes que nous tissons, en flux continu pendant 10 jours. L’objet connecté Motty était programmé par le langage Arduino pour capter les données du taux de carbone avec les capteurs externes et les envoyer via usb à l’ordinateur, le patch Pur data logiciel de programmation visuelle récupérait ces données et lisait simultanément le fichier vidéo et le diffusait sur le vidéoprojecteur en transformant l’image selon des paramètres d‘effet qui correspondaient à la température et le taux de co2 captés dans le lieu des Ateliers de Biche. Au delà du seuil de 24 degrés l’effet de transformation sur l’image se déclenchait et son intensité varie en fonction du taux de co2 dans l’air ambiant du black cube. Cette œuvre générative et ubiquitaire s’inscrit dans une démarche de recherches-créations autour de l’image connectée, la figure de l’œuvre « entrain de se faire » et la relation entre le climat et le motif.

ESP32 ItsyBitsy is in final testing zOne!
OK, after a long hiatus, the ESP32 Itsy Bitsy prototypes are built and ready for testing! We first designed this board Feb 20, 2020 - and it's been waiting oh so patiently for its turn. The ESP32 Pico module packs 8 MB of flash and 2 MB of PSRAM. Despite its small size this board can handle fairly complex programs. This board is very small but has lots of pins, with a USB-serial converter, NeoPixel, reset and user button, Stemma QT connector, and a 5V-logic output specifically for driving NeoPixels. to do my final 'all in one' test we're reading temperature and humidity from an I2C sensor, sending it to IO, then reading back the onboard NeoPixel color from the dashboard. It's an excellent way to make sure the whole thing is working the way we like. Last up, we'll do a low-power test, and then it'll be ready for fabrication!

The DHT11 is a commonly used Temperature and humidity sensor. The sensor comes with a dedicated NTC to measure temperature and an 8-bit microcontroller to output the values of temperature and humidity as serial data.
