(Inuyasha was the FIRST EVER character I wrote as. Years and years ago. It's my all time favorite anime and, fun fact, I HATED Koga when I first watched Inuyasha in high school, but now? He's my favorite LMAO. So I present, these two idiots <3)

"Hm? The hell do you want, ya mangy wolf?" Inuyasha didn't even have to look to know who it was was standing behind him. He could recognize that damned stench anywhere.

"Nothing that concerns you, mutt face. I'm here to see Kagome." Blue orbs scan the area around him, but he sees no one else. Doesn't even smell her except on the mutt. Damn him.

Inuyasha scoffs. "Tch, good luck findin' her. She ain't even here right now. You're just wastin' your time." His remains laying on the ground, his back to the wolf demon, and his eyes closed.

"What!? Where the hell is she, then!? I swear, mutt, if you lost her again..." He doesn't need to say it. The threat is there. Not even a threat, but a promise.

"Like I'd do that." Now his eyes are open, and he turns his head to look at him over his shoulder, his anger flaring. "I know where Kagome is," He smirks then, taunting him with the knowledge of her whereabouts. "but I don't have to tell you, so beat it, wolf!"

Bastard. Koga growls, but he remains calm. He's better about that than the hot-headed dog demon. He'll just choose to get under his skin a little more because if there's one thing Koga loves, it's annoying the fuck out of Inuyasha. "Heh. No, thanks. If you know where she is that means she'll be comin' back here eventually, so I'll wait." Now he's the one smirking when he sees how pissed off that makes him.

"Like hell you will!" He's on his feet now, facing him, his fists clenched. "I don't need you hangin' around here, get lost!" He doesn't need to voice his threats, it's obvious in the way he stands.

Koga sees this, but he doesn't move. Let Inuyasha make the first move. Koga will be sure to make the last. "I don't care what the hell you want or need. I can do whatever the hell I want, so deal with it!" He growls back, waiting for the stupid mutt to make his move. Maybe it'll even happen just as Kagome makes her return. Koga would love to see her send him face first into the ground with what special spell of hers.

context: amidst the camp set up for the night, you spread your blanket on the ground while your partner opts to lie beside you. despite the warmth emanating from the large fire, your body retains a chill, though it doesn't trouble you greatly. however, someone else appears more affected, expressing their discomfort unlike you.

INUYASHA ─ ❝ HALF—DOG ❞

➜ inuyasha would sit up against the rough bark of a nearby tree, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword, ready for any potential intruders. you settle down beside him, seeking warmth and solace in his presence. your hand reaches out to him, seeking comfort and reassurance that he's beside you.

➜ as your hand makes contact with his, his serene expression swiftly transforms into one of alarm, his eyes snapping open wide. he jerks his hand away from yours, swiftly moving it towards the fire to regain warmth.

➜ “the hell is wrong with your hands!? they’re colder than the damn snow right now!”

➜ you scoff at his words, turning away from him in response. inuyasha grumbled at your reaction before firmly gripping your shoulders and pulling you closer to him, snuggling you into his warm embrace.

➜ “since you wanna be stubborn and not get near the fire, i guess i’ll just stay next to you for the night.”

LORD SESSHOMARU ─ ❝ BEAST KING ❞

➜ unlike inuyasha’s outburst, sesshomaru is more the silent-but-glaring type of partner in this situation. 

➜ when your hand accidentally brushes against his face while adjusting a few strands of his hair, his golden eyes widen briefly at the contact before narrowing into a silent, intense glare.

➜ you pull your hand back quickly, shooting him an apologetic smile as he continues to glare, the sensation of your cold hands disrupting his slumber. it was rare for sesshomaru to join you and the group, let alone to sleep as well, but now, you've ruined it with your never-ending coldness.

➜ you turn around on the blanket, keeping your hands to yourself as you quietly sigh, feeling regretful for ruining the moment.

➜ after a few seconds, you feel something heavy and warm drape across your freezing body. it takes a moment to realize it's sesshomaru's mokomoko, which he has placed on you, providing the extra warmth you need that the fire couldn’t.

➜ even though you knew sesshomaru wasn’t one to talk about his feelings, you appreciated how he expressed his love more through actions than words.

KOGA ─ ❝ WOLF CUB ❞

➜ as the leader of the wolf-demon tribe, koga had numerous responsibilities to ensure the survival of his pack, with one of his main priorities being the protection of you, a human. despite being vastly different from your wolf-demon boyfriend, koga fell in love with you at first sight and would do anything to ensure your safety.

➜ as night fell, you settled around the campfire with the tribe, aiming to get some rest. however, the cool breeze that kept blowing made it difficult, causing your hands to grow numb from the biting cold.

➜ you shivered from the intense cold, despite being wrapped in a blanket. koga could feel your shaking body against his own, which startled him awake. quickly, he turned to face you with a scowl as he realized what was going on.

➜ “why the hell didn’t ya say anything? you’re freezing! here, take my hands.”

➜ you hesitated at first before settling your numbed hands against his warmed, rough ones. his touch sent a comforting warmth through your chilled fingers, and you graced him with a grateful smile for his kindness.

➜ koga would then move your sleeping bag closer to the fire and wrap his arms around your body, pulling you so close to his chest that you could hardly breathe, enveloping you in his warmth. he cared deeply for your comfort and always made sure you were satisfied.

inuyasha is kagome's scratch post lol

(I had this sitting in my drafts for like 7 months so I'm finally giving it a prison break.)

I thought about what I felt Kagome gets out of her relationship with Inuyasha, since I think it's pretty clear what he gets out of the relationship with her...

Kagome is already sort of at a good place. She knows her worth, what's worth her time, and doesn't need a Man™ (or any person) to satisfy anything she "lacks"... we all know she was just vibin before slipping into the feudal era.

But compared to the other suitors in her life (Koga and Hojo)... Inuyasha doesn't quite treat her like a princess. Of course, he loves her and would do anything for her, but he doesn't exactly grovel at her feet either (I mean, he's tsundere max x5).

(This panel is pretty early on in Ch. 44, but basically summarizes their dynamic lol.)

Some people would prefer to be treated like a princess, but I don't think bad azz b*tch Kagome does. Inuyasha pushes back, fights her a little, he has a little pride, and Kagome is the same to him, but never to a point of no return, and they both trust each other to know they can handle criticism. They humble each other. Kagome seems to get a bit of satisfaction from that.

If she were with Koga or Hojo, I imagine it feels like a cat scratching at a smooth pole. It doesn't satisfy her. Whereas when she's with Inuyasha, it's like scratching... you know, at a scratch post. There's a right amount of resistance.

He's also a good guy, and that helps.

So it's not so much that Inuyasha fulfills an emotional need — he simply complements her personality. Meanwhile, he's not all fight; he's gentle in their moments alone later on, he keeps his promises, believes in her, reminds her of her worth when she's feeling insecure, and always shows up for her no matter what, which includes unsolicited visits to her house or room.

He's a kind person and also a protector of not just her, but everyone she cares about.

Kagome knows she is safe with him, just as Inuyasha knows he is safe with her.

I am super excited to present my FIRST Inukag story for @inukag-week Day 3: Bickering. I think this could also apply to the prompt Yearning, but I had originally written it with Bickering in mind. This story has been living in my mind rent free for the past year. It's based on the Taylor Swift song The Other Side of the Door. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. It takes place during episodes 38 and 48 in season two, combining the two story lines together. Read it here on Ao3 <3

“Why’d you let them go?” Inuyasha screeched from the ground, glaring after the wolf demon. The one who’d captured her one minute and then declared he loved her the next. 

Kagome turned her head toward him, frowning. “He wasn’t fit to fight. Koga was hurt. He was good to me…,” she murmured, completing facing Inuyasha to convey her feelings, “so I returned the favor.”

He pushed up from the ground, eyebrows knitted together in frustration. “Good to you? Are you nuts?” He stormed toward her, fist curled as he scowled down at her. “Don’t tell me you get off on that kind of thing. You were kidnapped and almost killed!”

Kagome blinked at his reaction. She tore her gaze away from his, staring at his chest. “He looked rougher than he was.” Inuyasha growled, and she knew she wasn’t getting the words out properly. She pressed her index fingers together, mind stumbling over a way to get him to understand. “He, uh, protected me a lot, you know.”

So here's the problem...

I want to read, but I don't feel like reading any of my fall backs, and nothing is popping out to me.

There us one story I remember reading once. There was some exhibitionism going on in it, but it was a decent story. Really spicy lol 🔥.

There's one scene where Sesshomaru... does... Kagome on a balcony in front of a crowd of people. Another time a council member walks in on them doing the deed & they just keep going while Sesshomaru tears him a new one. I also believe in the same story they get it on 3x in their travels each time either naraku koga or inuyasha see them & Sesshomaru knows it.

No idea the name of this story...

Another one I read is kind of messed up but interesting... Kagome accidentally seals Sesshomaru & when she releases him she's flooded with his (extremely) trumatic childhood memories. His dad basically trades him as a means to stop a war.

Or...

I kind of want to read something long. I'm not in the mood for grape-y turned love atm.

Maybe a slow burn? Friends to lovers? Traveling with Sesshoumaru? Funny or Akward Sesshomaru? Even modern day post Canon would be nice. (As mentioned, Fallen Angel is one of my all time favorites.) Heck, even a drabble series...

Does anyone have any recommendations??? After the week I've had, I just want to get lost in a good sesskag story for a bit on my day off before I have to adult again. 🙃

some things about this blog:

i love NarKik, how awesome is it that the man who wishes to kill her, and actually have killed her, held also the dearest despicable desire to protect/keep-her-alive her? (or more like his desire has protected her...)

not into inukag vs inukik topic ( i ship both )

reincarnation concept is very close to me, as physical body is just a facade . so to me inukag is a successful representation of the love inukik once had, a prove that bond between two longing souls is eternal .

there was also no competition between kikyo and kagome. the choice was very obvious.

kikyo chose to travel alone, she didn't want inuyasha's love anymore, she wanted revenge on him(when she didn't know it was naraku all along) . kikyo knew she died and she count her days on earth only for revenge (stopping naraku). remember how she killed a monk once for interfering her plan and tried to kill inuyasha? well that ended once she knew it was naraku all along.

kikyo's tale is not of love but revenge.

and inuyasha actively chose to travel with Kagome.
