Inu and Neko Swap

A Miraculous Ladybug Kuro Neko swap au based around the traitor Adrien/Cat Noir idea. May have an ooc, Felix. I haven't watched season five much and don't know how he treats the Kwami.

Basically, Felix finds the Black Cat ring, possibly the wind blowing it away before Ladybug can find it, and discovers that Adrien is Cat Noir via Plagg accidentally mistaking him for Adrien and saying his name.

Hearing this gives him an idea of how to get Gabriel to hand over the Graham de Vanily rings. He heads back to the mansion to meet with his dear uncle. However, instead of giving Gabriel the ring right away, Felix makes a deal with his uncle that he'll act as a spy and help Gabriel claim the Ladybug Miraculous in exchange for the rings.

Que the next few Akumas. While pretending to be Cat Noir after forcing Plagg to reveal about transforming, Felix starts to make purposeful mistakes to mess with Ladybug and the other Miraculous users. He may even flirt with other Miraculous users to mess with them and the team dynamics.

From the sidelines, Adrien watches the way the new Cat Noir acts and how much it seems the team is getting annoyed with him. Seeing this could play on his insecurities at the time of not being needed for a while. However, maybe seeing his behavior from an outside perspective while it's being amplified to a worse degree is what he needs to grow as a hero. It leads him down the line of thinking, "Was I that bad?"

Fast forward to the season four finale, where Ladybug gives the Dog Miraculous to Adrien. This time, she doesn't mess up and gives the real Adrien the Dog Miraculous. When Adrien first gets the Miraculous, his persona is similar to Cat Walker. Ladybug can think it's because of his failure with the Snake last time or ask if he's okay, and Adrien explains that he doesn't want to be a burden to the team like Cat Noir. This causes Ladybug to possibly defend her partner and inadvertently reveal she cares about him still to the real Cat Noir while also trying to get Adrien to loosen up and not force himself.

Hearing this helps Adrien a lot. But he still doesn't want to be a burden to the team and starts learning how to develop a middle ground to his Cat Noir and Dog Hero persona during season five's events.

Speaking of season five, since Felix doesn't have the Dog, Gabriel doesn't get his hands on the other Miraculous. Taking away that plot. However, instead of that. Maybe you can have season four be the season where Ladybug lets the other users keep their Miraculous. So instead of the canon plot, the plot changes to 'Cat Noir' revealing his true colors and stealing the Miraculous one by one during Akuma attacks or by following the users while Adrien tries to discover a middle ground and figure out who he is.

Welcome to the Switch-a-roo Au! This is going to be my take on the classic idea of switching each miraculous pair's miraculous (i.e Adrien swaps with Mari, Luka with Alix, etc.) The only exception to this swap is going to be Alya, Nino and Chloé who gave a three way swap because I feel like the fox, turtle and bee were made to be a group of three rather than a pair. Well, this is tough because I actually used to write very differently. I’d say most of what I’ve published lately is pretty plot heavy with some character development and very, very light on descriptive language.

Weirdest? Huh...I do have an au where Inoue Orihime and Higurashi Kagome swapped places. It’s in bits and pieces, I think.

What are some tropes that you think would suit Inukag really well?

Good morning Nonny! (well, morning where I am anyway) Hmmm. Lemme think...

Coffeeshop AU - I’ve seen one’s where Kagome is the barista and Inu is the grump who needs his caffeine hit. But I could see it around the other way. Inu running a little hole in the wall coffee shop much like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld; blatantly rude but people come back because the coffee is just so good! Everyone puts up with his bad humour because they want the coffee. Enter Kagome, who is a Nice Person, and feels the need to adjust his attitude. Actually I really like this idea - I think it could be really funny. Adding it to the pile of Things I Wanna Write When I Finally Get Myself Organised...

Body Swap - I’ve seen a few good fics with this trope. Both of them not really understanding how difficult things are for the other, before they’re made to literally walk a mile in the other’s shoes..

Baby fic / Found family - because an orphaned half breed who knows just how tough the real world can be when you’re small and all alone, and a girl who wears her heart on her sleeve and just can’t help trying to understand others would make the perfect adoptive parents. It’s basically canon - look at Shippou.

Blanket - so many opportunities for this in the Sengoku Jiddai - snow, rain, hail, sleet, falling in the lake, tumbling into the rapids - Kagome can be pretty clumsy at times. And a caring half-youkai’s not gonna let his human freeze, no matter how much he blusters about it. Also the reverse works - sorry Inuyasha, that pesky human night is handy for sooo many things. 

Trapped! - not sure what else to call this one - is this a trope? You know, they’re stuck in a cave, a desert island, on a mountain, in a plane crash, with only determination, shared survival knowledge and a single blanket to make their way back to civilization. Although if you included the rest of the InuCrew, you could make it a humorous nod to Gilligan’s Island.

Soulbond - the red string of fate trope suits this pair so well! Call me a die hard romantic, but I can’t help it. Give me the sticky sweet fairy floss fluff of a soul bonded pair, brought together across the centuries. They were obviously meant to be together!

Hey guys, sorry about the wait! But here’s the prompts reveal!

We decided that rather than going with a single prompt for each day, that we’d have two you could choose between, but that could also work together in a single piece if you wanted to combine them. Let us know what you guys think!

And now on to an explanation for each day! If anything doesn’t make sense, or you want a better explanation or more of an example please let me know.

Day 1: Firsts//Lasts Easy enough, the first day is about first and/or lasts. You can choose to go as sweet or angsty as you want with the prompts, but here are some ideas to help you along. Firsts can be doing anything for the first time, the first meeting, the first kiss, the first time doing an activity together, or if you want to go the angst route then you can do something like the first big fight, or the first time one of them is critically injured. Lasts can be sad a lot of the time, the last goodbye, the last I love you, the smile but they don’t have to be and you can choose to interpret the prompt in a happier way like the last goodbye (because they’re together now!), or the last fear (because they’re safe). It’s up to you to choose how you want to go about it 

Day 2: Demon//Human This prompt is a chance to explore both of their lives,and how they now fit in to their relationship. Does Kagome choose to live like the wolf demon tribe? Or does Koga decide to try a live a ‘human’ life to make her more comfortable? Is there some kind of compromise? It’s also a chance for you to be able to explore how different human and demon lives are, and how each of them would respond to a situation in their own way and how their relationship would be looked upon by outsiders. If you’re like me and love making fanbabies, you could also explore the idea of having a child that’s neither human nor demon, and how that effects their lives and makes things a little different. 

Day 3: Separation//Devotion How do the couple react to being separated? And why are they separate? Is it a bittersweet moment where they’re waiting for the other to return and missing them? Or a more painful situation where they’ve gone their own ways? You get to decide how you want to interpret it and what kind of situation they’re in. Devotion can be merged with separation to show how even though they’re apart, they’re the only ones for each other or you can choose to make it it’s own prompt and show kogkag as the mushy couple of your dreams and show just how much they love each other.  

Day 4: Past//Future You can interpret this prompt in two ways. You can choose to show the past and//or future of the relationship, focusing on either the early days of them being in love or a time in the future where they’ve been together for a while and are a happy family (or if you like angst, a time where kagome has grown old/passed and Koga’s reaction to it.) However if that doesn’t float your boat, you can instead base the prompt in the literal past or future, the feudal era or modern times. Want to see Kagome in the past with the wolf boys and the inu crew? All good. Koga in the future adjusting to our times and meeting the Higurashi family? Nice

Day 5: Tender//Tough This day’s a little more ambiguous, but a way you could interpret it is as the couple mushy moments, or fights they have. You could also decide to just base it around the way either of them are gentle with the other, or how they can be super tough when it comes to protecting their loved ones. (Kagome is a bamf ok I want to see her going full mama bear mode or something can you imagine)

Day 6: Holidays//Celebrations Even though the week is at the start of October, it’s still Halloween month, and what better way to celebrate that than to have a holidays and celebrations day? You want kogkag celebrating Halloween and dressing up? Exchanging presents for Christmas or birthdays? Vising a shrine for new years? Celebrating something exclusive to your country/ethnicity? This is your day

Day 7: AU//Free day Pretty self explanatory, you can either choose to create an AU piece, or something you had an idea for that didn’t really fit in to any of the other days. AUs can range from things such as completely different universes (like Beauty and the Beast, Spirited Away, Pokemon), the same universe but where everyone has different roles (Detectives, Flower Shop, species-swap), or just a few changes to the canon universe (Kagome meets the wolf pack first, Koga is there for the final battle). You don’t need to make a grand change for an AU, or try to limit yourself either, have fun with it!
