When they laughed, it made his heart swell. They would throw their head back nearly every time, as if it was the funniest joke in the world. He loved to watch the joy take over their features. It was like their laugh melted away all the bad things. His favorite part of their laughter, however, was how their hand would always land on his arm. It would linger on his skin as they giggled, sending fireworks through him.

It took people a while to understand Oscar. Oftentimes he was claimed to be reserved, a calm and serious driver. Some people even said he had a “stale” personality.

To be fair, he is a bit quiet, you could even say introverted, until he becomes comfortable around someone. Working at McLaren has helped a bit, what with working with one of the more extroverted drivers on the grid.

Lando practically yanks Oscar out of his shell, poking fun at him, making the Australian fight back with his own witty remarks, ending in both drivers in a fit of giggles.

He’s warmed up to the rest of the McLaren group over the last season, but one team member in particular was able to pull his attention to them whenever they walked in the room.

He met you during his rookie season, while he was still getting used to being an F1 driver. You always gave him a smile when you saw him, and quietly wished him luck before races. You had joined McLaren at the same time he did, as a part of their social media team. He felt more at ease knowing he wasn’t the only new person on the team.

It took a little while for him to gather the courage to actually speak to you. His quiet “hi”s turned into brief conversations about your day or his which then turned into seeking each other out in the garage.

You were always happy to be told you’d get to spend the day with Oscar, following him around while filming a new Unboxed video. You’d grown attached to the younger driver over the last year. You enjoyed spending time with him, probably more than a coworker should. You couldn’t help it though, he made it impossible to not want to be near him.

You loved his quick wit and his sarcastic comments. You knew that there weren’t many people who could fully understand his sense of humor, but you were glad to indulge him, listening to him make his comments about the race or other drivers, things he would never say in front of a camera or over the radio, to you.

It wasn’t meant to actually happen at first. He thought he was being quiet enough that no one could hear him as he mumbled to himself, unzipping his race suit so it hangs around his hips. Even in the loud garage though, he still hears it. He hears your laughter ringing through the machinery. He looks up to see you looking at him. You cover your mouth with your hand, trying to hide your laughter.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t hear anything, I promise.” You tell him, still trying to hide your smile.

Oscar thinks he must be dreaming. He swears he’s never heard a sound as beautiful as your laughter, and he decides then and there that he will do anything he can to keep hearing that sound.

He finds you after races now, and brings you to his driver’s room, somewhere you can have your own little “debrief”. He lets you talk about your work during the weekend, listening intently whether he had been with you during the weekend or not, then he tells you about his driving over the weekend.

He’s found that you tend to laugh more when he keeps his words unfiltered, when he truly says what he wants to, uncaring of how he sounds. He makes snarky remarks about the way Carlos drives, or about how he and Lando are talking about paying each other to crash into Max, and he’s gifted with your laughter.

He feels his face flush as you throw your head back, not hiding your face from him anymore. Your hand lands on his arm, softly squeezing his bicep as you try to catch your breath.

“You can’t crash into Max!” You get out in between breaths. “You’ll have all of the Netherlands at your throat!”

He smiles at you, his grin matching yours.

“Not if I make it look like an accident.” He shrugs, sending you into another fit of laughter.

You shake your head once you’ve calmed down. “No, Oscar Piastri is too good a driver to make mistakes like that.”

He ducks his head down, attempting to hide the blush on his cheeks.

“Lando Norris on the other hand…”

Oscar lets out a laugh of his own, leaning into you.

Romeo is a mostly quiet individual, however tends to be surprisingly talkative when communicated with. “A total yapper” -Ace. Although not necessarily introverted, as he will only approach people so long as they are interesting enough.

Hyper-intelligent, with a vocabulary that may intimidate those who try to talk with him at first.

(He is very Will Wood coded.) His way with words may also be seen in the scripts he writes for the Film Research Club, often going to Vil Schoenheit for criticism because of his respect for the artist. Would also consult Rook Hunt because of his passion for poetry, as well as his observant eye.

Outside of his club activities, Romeo will either be seen strolling around campus, reading in the library or sleeping in Diasomnia, however, he will only go into Diasomnia either before or after Malleus’ group has arrived to avoid Sebek’s shouting.

On weekends, he goes home to help his little sister out at home because their parents are mostly working abroad.

Romeo has two moods, do something and finish it as quickly as possible or procrastinate til the very end. It all depends on his interest on the activity, much to everyone’s surprise.

Over all a total nerd and a good older brother figure. May not get along with everyone, but his ‘unique’ thinking tends to keep peers entertained, unbeknownst to him.

itadori: he's pretty much the same off-camera and on-camera. just generally so nice and kind to everyone on set. extremely good at remembering his lines last minute (gg photographic memory). always buys the hair/makeup and stylists coffee.  megumi: extremely loud, bubbly, and a total goofball. often breaks character just from laughing so much.  nobara: shes more soft-spoken, dainty and gentle off-camera but she's still a girlboss in her own way. shes a popstar/idol when she's not acting.  gojo: he's surprisingly a lot more reserved off-camera than on-camera but he can be goofy with his castmates, especially geto's actor. loves mentoring and giving advice to rookie actors.  geto: he's a lot louder and extraverted off-camera but put him in a room with gojo and they will literally pop off. the directors and crew groan when they see them together tbd. he and gojo's actor actually used to hate each other back in the day but they became the best of buds during the first tableread. their chemistry on-screen though constantly blows everyone away.  nanami: another goofball off-camera. known for his superior range. played in movies ranging from comedy, horror, and heart-tugging romance. put him in a room with gojo and geto and it ends up being immense chaos that the staff loses their minds. 

*the three of them can not take an interview seriously but they're all known to be extremely A-list top of the top actors in the industry who all have won awards. 

utahime: consider her like the 90s superstar actress of her generation. she started acting since she was a child. just superior all around and an absolute legend. cares for the younger cast very dearly.  shoko: another legend to walk among the set. was also a runway model. she's extremely smart off-camera too and was known to go to a prestigious university. hangs out with utahimes actress a lot.  *all of the cast get shook when they come on set-- the power these women hold is just unmatched. the beauty, grace and class they hold.... 

you can basically think that gojo, geto, nanami, utahime, shoko, sukuna, and toji are all just academy award winning legends among their generation. 

sukuna: his personality is pretty similar to yuji off-camera. just super sweet and kind. was amazed the casting directors found someone who looked just like him as a kid. loves joking around with yuji. breaks character a lot too because yuji keeps making him laugh.  toji: the cast tends to joke about how he could look like megumis real dad. loves telling dad jokes-- which only megumi ends up laughing at for real. (he calls him dad as a joke during cast interviews.) 

maki: a lot more reserved off-camera. gives off really chic vibes and everyone is intimidated by her cool, suave personality. started her career off as a model.  mai: also reserved, just like her sister. they're both pretty introverted off-camera and tend to keep to themselves but hangs out with nobara's actress a lot on the weekends as a trio. they love shopping and going to cool restaurants together.  inumaki: loves pulling pranks on people and filming tiktoks behind set. this kid doesn't take anything seriously but that's what people love about him.  panda: under the panda costume/CG effects is a guy who's just stellar at voice acting but people get shocked by how handsome he is when he doesn't have the costume on. super silly with inumaki and often joins his pranks.  yuta: similar to itadori- his character is the same on/off camera that people can't tell if he's acting. really famous for acting in a lot of melodramas.  todo: HUGEEE nerd and softie off-camera. is the biggest scaredy cat on set hence he's the main target for all the pranks when the cast pulls them (cough* inumaki). loves collecting plushies as a hobby. would not hurt a fly. him and yuji really did become best friends irl. miwa: down-to-earth, just very sweet. pretty much the same on/off camera. she's good at crying on command.  muta: he's very talkative and just loves chatting with anyone and everyone on set. he wants to know everyones life story. just super genuine. like his character, he has a huge crush on miwa.  kamo: SUPERRRR clumsy off-camera. he's always accidentally slipping on the fake blood or dropping something. it's okay though, he just laughs it off.  momo: tends to sit in her trailer and plays video games when it's downtime. very laissez faire about everything but that's what makes her so easy to work with.

mahito: extremely serious off-camera. only keeps things professional. doesn't mess around when it comes to work. doesn't have any bloopers when it comes to his scenes. he's a really nice guy though when you get to know him. choso: golden retriever energy. super talkative and loves getting to know people just like muta. he remembers really endearing memories about people. asks staff members how they're doing and checks up on them. loves hanging out with yuji on the weekends.

She moved to Oxfordshire when she was five, where she attended the Dragon School. Day 23: Movie Night

"Hey, Papyrus?" you asked.

"Yes, Precious?"

"Can we do something fun tonight, like say, have another movie night?"

Papyrus smiled and nodded, "Of Course, We Can."

"Can we...also invite Undyne and Alphys?" you asked tentatively, fiddling with your fingernails as you spoke.

Papyrus hesitated and glanced at Sans, who had narrowed his eye sockets as soon as he overheard your question. They both seemed a little concerned about it, which you thought was understandable, but you really wanted to befriend both girls.

"Alright, I Will Ask Undyne And See If They Are Able To Come," Papyrus finally said.

"i don't think they'll be stupid enough to try anythin', but both of you should stay close to us at all times, just in case. i'll be keepin' a close eye socket on them anyways though," Sans stated firmly.

You smiled and hugged Papyrus tightly, which he was completely unprepared for. "Awesome! Thanks so much! I have absolute faith in you guys," you exclaimed.

Papyrus chuckled and hugged you back warmly, but he still seemed slightly concerned. Surely, nothing bad would happen and you would eventually be able to call the two women friends. Surely...

You weren't surprised when it turned out that both Undyne and Alphys had readily agreed to come over for the movie night. Undyne definitely seemed like the extroverted type to you, while Alphys was much more introverted. Still, they seemed like decent people from what you could tell, minus Undyne trying to immediately kill you and Frisk that one time.

They brought snacks with them too, all packaged junk foods like chips that had been unopened, which meant you didn't have to worry they had messed with any of them. You made a big bowl of popcorn for everyone as well which was a huge hit.

This time the movie of choice was a comedy, although it was a pretty bad one in your opinion, but in a 'so bad it's actually kind of good' way. Frisk didn't understand half the jokes but there was plenty of slapstick humour to keep them entertained at least. Still, you kept them close to you for the duration of the movie, partly because you wanted them to be safe, but mostly because you wanted to cuddle with them.

Papyrus seemed to be feeling a bit bolder this time, which was quite evident by how affectionate he was willing to be tonight, not that he was a shy person like you were more prone to be. Rather, he sat pretty close to you and put his arm around your shoulders in a gesture that left you feeling pretty special.

Throughout the movie though, you caught Alphys and Undyne casting occasional glances at both of you. At first, you felt pretty self-conscious and quickly looked away, but to your surprise, Papyrus didn't seem bothered at all. If anything, he seemed quite confident and like he was almost showing you off. You kind of liked it actually... It gave you a small thrill, like you were doing something forbidden, and sort of brought you back to your teenage years.

After the movie, Papyrus took it upon himself to bring the used dishes back to the kitchen. While Alphys and Sans discussed some of the details of the film with you, Undyne seemed oddly quiet. After a moment, she got up and joined Papyrus in the kitchen.

You weren't normally a nosy person, but you couldn't help feeling slightly concerned, especially when you could hear them talking. After a moment, you decided to excuse yourself from the conversation and got up to follow her.

"Why did you give her a collar?" Undyne hissed. Despite the fact that she was trying to be quiet, you could still hear her pretty clearly from just outside the kitchen.

When Papyrus seemed to remain quiet, she continued speaking. "You know this can't work out; she's a human..." Her tone grew softer and she added, "I'm just...concerned for you, okay?"

"I Am Aware," Papyrus answered in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Paps... I don't want to have to take you in. If the King finds out about this..." She trailed off, not wanting to finish her thought.

He remained silent for a moment before responding again. "I Am Not Planning On Telling Him, So Unless You Are, I Do Not See The Issue." His tone was rather cold now, like he was trying to be intimidating, even though he really didn't need to be.

It was at this point you decided to actually enter the kitchen and stop being a creepy eavesdropper. Papyrus was standing stiffly next to the kitchen counter with his fists clenched by his sides, while Undyne was leaning against the table with her arms crossed, giving him an 'are you serious?' look.

Papyrus noticed you first and once he did, Undyne turned to look at you as well. She narrowed her good eye at you and made a low annoyed sound in the back of her throat.

You ignored her though and walked over to where Papyrus was standing instead. His expression softened considerably, especially once you snaked one of your arms through his and gave him a gentle smile.

"So that's how it is then."

You turned to Undyne and nodded, "Yes, it is."

She looked unimpressed and continued to study you sullenly.

Taking a deep breath, you continued, "In fact... I love him."

You could feel Papyrus stiffen slightly and while you couldn't bring yourself to look at him for fear of losing your edge, you could tell he seemed to be surprised. Undyne's eye widened and she glanced from you to Papyrus and back again. At first, she didn't seem to believe you, but as the moment stretched on, her disbelief morphed into shock.

Papyrus seemed to recover first and he wrapped his free arm around your waist, pulling you slightly closer. He hummed softly and you could almost feel the smirk he had plastered across his skull right now.

Undyne clicked her tongue and glanced away. She took a deep breath and shook her head slowly. "Well, congratulations...I mean that too," she said quietly. "I do think you two are good for each other, but I can't help but be worried. So, be safe, okay?"

You nodded and shot her a single finger gun, as your right arm was still occupied. "I try my best..."

Papyrus made a soft "tisk" sound under his breath, but wisely chose not to say anything.

summary: a photography commission from the unofficial Queen of Hawkins for her boyfriend sends introverted Jonathan Byers on a reluctant journey, discovering not all cheerleaders are the same. Some are very observant, thoughtful, and even full of self-doubt and responsibility like him...

Jonathan carefully plucked the latest batch of photos from the first wash bin. The darkroom was bathed in red with the faint hum of the safelights burrowing into the background, Jonathan’s focus undeterred by the constant buzzing. Whenever he pulled those heavy darkroom curtains closed, he drifted into another world, a state of perfect flow for his work.

Last weekend he’d spent over 6 hours stalking through the woods, hoping to find the perfect overcast shadows over Skull Rock or a fawn grazing on the new growth at the edge of the pines. Instead, Jonathan had stumbled upon the ruins of a Hawkins High party, practically apocalyptic in nature with the way cans, bottles, and clothes were left strewn about the brush and the earth floor.

He had nearly rushed through the littered party ruins until a glint of the noon sun caught his eye. Under the cover of a weedy fern, a dainty gold necklace glimmered in the light, half-covered in patches of dirt and surrounded by a heavy shoe print, a thick-soled sneaker by the looks of the imprint. It was almost too poetic; the year of his graduation stuck out from under the dirt, bathed in a golden light, while the chain buckled under the dirt and grime of the life around it, like dismal foreshadowing.

Minutes ticked on as he adjusted his camera’s lens for a close-up, leaning back on his left foot to get the angle just right for the flare above the "86" pendant. He snapped two just in case—keeping his fingers crossed that he captured the foreboding atmosphere. There was something magnetic about it.

The rest of the afternoon he shot about a dozen more photos, including a rabbit poking its head out from its burrow which the older Hawkins folk would adore, a family of mossy stones congregating by a snaking vine, and a majestic hawk, brownish in color, opening its wide wingspan from its perch on the pine tree.

Not his best nature photography by his own scale, but there had to be something usable for the Hawkins Post, who always seemed in need of decent local photography to accompany their articles. He’d already been featured twice this past summer from his photos of the town fair and the downtown block party.

Jonathan had to wait until today to process the film; Tuesdays were when Mrs. Franklin unlocked the school’s darkroom for the school newspaper, The Weekly Streak, and the yearbook club. Jonathan had joined both groups in order to utilize the room for free and made sure to at least do the bare minimum for each club meeting. Mrs. Franklin turned a blind eye whenever he brought in his own film to develop, casually complimenting his artsy photos of sad, empty parking lots, once even slipping him a Lincoln to tuck a portrait of a distant stranger at Lover’s Lake into her spiral agenda.

Being a senior meant he only had one more year to take advantage of free film developing, a perk he never took for granted, since his part-time job at the Hawk barely covered the extra groceries at home—let alone stuff for Jonathan’s expensive hobby. Film added up pretty quickly, so whatever change was left over from his paycheck, he scrimped and saved until he could buy another 33mm cartridge from Melvald’s. The supplies for developing were way more than that and harder to conserve. With that somber idea in mind, he took care in transferring the first three photos from the prep solution to the next chemical mixture, not wasting a single scrap of this opportunity.

Some days he wondered if the acrid fumes helped or hindered him, the chemicals seeping into the air with a heavy, almost-metallic smell. As a freshman, it used to burn his nose, his eyes, any of the sensitive sources for sensation. Three years of experience later, he barely noticed any odor, having drifted with the humming of the safelights into the background of his awareness.

With the last slosh of the bath, Jonathan nearly jumped with the classroom light suddenly poking through the slit of the door creaking opening. If these photos were ruined, he’d have to start the painstakingly lengthy process all over again from the negatives. Fred Benson, another senior in the journalism club, had a habit of ignoring the “in use: keep out” sign and incidentally destroying all of Jonathan’s hardwork with his objectionable entrances.

Jonathan sighed, almost a groan by its volume, in exasperation. He didn’t have the energy to deal with Fred’s incessant questions right now; he always seemed to have special requests for his articles at the last minute. And while he claimed to prefer Jonathan’s work to the other student photographers, it never stopped him from making Jonathan retake photos of the same art class gallery or demanding another professional headshot for his college portfolio.

He covered the bins and snuck past the curtain protecting the developing photos, narrowing his eyes at the unwelcome thorn in his side. “Fr–”

“I’m sorry,” The voice that interrupted was sweet, meek even. Definitely not Fred’s weasley intonation and that caught Jonathan off guard. “Fred said it was okay to come in, but I should have waited—you look busy.”

Chrissy Cunningham shrunk her frame, her arms crossed over her cheer sweater, with the dip of her head showing off the blonde bangs perfectly coiffed over her brows......

but like okay okay okay i went down the angel & landoscar rabbit hole and now im thinking of her grumpy/black cat!introverted!street smart bestie!! cause the brain worms are wiggling!! (and i want to preference this by sayjng this is not a self promo at all but more as a treat since i have a baby that’s polar opposite of angel & i think they’d be besties)

but i love polar opposite best friends!! and angel deserves one!! and her and candi would be the most unlikely best friends!! candi is horrible with book smarts outside of english, history, and theater (she majors in technical theater but a triple threat actress in secret). she loves to listen to angel ramble and while angel dresses up and everything, candi lives in black (life of a technician). Usually like oversized hoodie, jeggings or leggings and either her really beaten combat boots or doc martins and she’s always got a backpack/tote on her and has EVERYTHING (candi’s a stage manager they’re basically the theater mom).

candi thrives in social situation even if she hates them. she always knows everything and everything because she’s quiet so everyone just talks around her thinking she’s not listening but she is. candi can usually pick a person apart after 5-10 minutes max of them speaking to her (if they’re willing to look past the major RBF candi has). she loves psychology on the side and is only like 5’2 but is angel’s scary dog privilege outside the grid me thinks. candi speaks in sarcasm and is the only one that can bully/be mean to angel!! cause it’s out of love and never anything serious!! angel knows something wrong when candi ISNT mean!! also candi is hyper independent and loves her space and me time but angel’s (so far) the only one that’s allowed to be physically affectionate with candi and always around her and candi never gets tired or annoyed!! angel actually recharged her social battery!!!

but also angel being like “i forgot this, i forgot that” before lando and oscar can BLINK, candi’s pulling it out her bag and passing it over like “stop being so fuckin forgetful omg???”

im thinking ab candy working on broadway after graduating from nyu as soon as you said theater technician. like i can imagine angel being her plus one to the tonys one year when she’s up for an award for being a part of the crew for some musical. like them getting all dressed up and angel is in all white and candi is in all black?? she’s part of the film crew so they get to float along in the background while the stars of the shows get doted on, but they wouldn’t have it any other way. they gossip about all the celebrities they see, whether it’s when angel flies to new york to see candi, or when candi can fly out to see angel at the races.

i can imagine them going out one night and some guy trying to hit on them and candi absolutely destroys the guy with one line and angel just giggles and sips her drink.

angel loves love and thinks everyone should have a partner so she’s offering to set her up with someone every time she sees her, and candi always jokes that angel has enough boyfriends for both of them. angel understands that she likes her independence, but argues that a driver would be perfect because they’re gone ten months a year!!!

i wanna say candi already knows french, maybe she’s from france or spent summers abroad there, so she hears that one of angel’s friends is teaching her and starts to help her learn.

angel doesn’t expect charles and candi to get along the first time they meet, most people are off put by her personality, but they go back and forth, switching between french and english as they bicker through the weekend with grins on their faces.

then one race weekend candi shows up wearing something red instead of all black and angel is like hm interesting that you’re wearing ferrari colors… like i crocheted us matching papaya sets and you didn’t wear it.. but you bought a red corset? and candi’s like “oh uh no this old thing? had it for years.”

candi has a million bags, she’s a bag girlie. i can imagine she has tons of tote bags and it might be the one colorful thing she uses because she gets always buys the reusable ones from the shops she goes to to carry whatever she bought, she likes the reminders of where she’s been! anytime she sees one at a coffee shop or book store, she’s buying it. it’s like a bottom less pit inside of whatever tote she’s got on her shoulder, she has a few studier ones with pockets that she uses when shes traveling and takes the smaller ones on daily trips. candi has anything anyone could possibly need.

i love the idea of lando or oscar getting up to get something while candi is rifling through her bag and they return with it minutes later but angel has whatever she needed. angel’s like “oh thanks baby but candi already got it!” and they’re cuddled up giggling at something on candi’s phone. bf is just like /: why does my gf have a gf

angel is the opposite in every way. purses included. she carries little hand bags that match her outfit. they fit her phone, a tiny wallet that holds her id, her cards, and one of lando’s and oscar’s each in front of her own. she always carries a few travel perfumes, her all time favorite lip gloss (sometimes multiple in different shades) and her newest lip gloss, which everyone except lando understands are two different things. candi carries her favorite gloss around too, just in case angel ever loses hers.

anytime candi and angel see each other after awhile, angel is jumping into her arms even though she’s taller so maybe ir should be the other way around? angel just gets so excited and practically tackles her bestie she missed her so much. candi giving everyone else a cool nod for a greeting but angel always gets a warm hug!!

So, it’s that magical time again—another long weekend is just around the corner! I have to admit, I’ve been counting down the days with the kind of excitement that only introverts like me can truly understand. The idea of having extra time to immerse myself in my favorite films, series, and books feels like pure, unadulterated joy.

There’s something incredibly soothing about being able to spend an entire day wrapped up in a blanket, diving into a good book or getting lost in the world of a film. I’ve been curating my watchlist and reading list for weeks now, and the anticipation of finally having uninterrupted time to indulge in these passions is almost overwhelming.

Of course, I’m always open to hanging out with friends if the opportunity arises. It’s not that I don’t enjoy socializing; it’s just that I often need to recharge afterward. So while I’ll gladly accept invitations if they come my way, my ideal long weekend is one where I can fully embrace my introverted side and revel in some alone time.

This weekend, I’ve lined up a mix of cozy reads and binge-worthy series that have been on my radar for ages. There’s something so satisfying about crossing things off my to-do list in the form of completed novels and finished episodes. It’s like a little victory for my introverted soul!

Long weekends and holidays have always been my favorite, not just because they give me a break from routine, but because they allow me to dive deep into my literary and cinematic worlds. It’s in these moments of solitude that I truly feel at peace, finding joy in the quiet corners of my life.

Thought #1: The yandere trope would be a really poor fit, same as "he drinks to drink away his sorrows (broodingly)". Add "villain who needs love to reform himself" to that list.

Overall, I'd lean towards more mature characters, who have their stuff (mostly) sorted out. Not the constant-walking-festival-slash-soap-opera-of-a-person, not oh-convince-me-i-am-worthy-of-even-existing-(we-are-going-to-spend-the-next-15-chapters-pretending-i-don't-love-you), and probably not the i-am-your-boss-but-also-a-major-major-BRAT.

I think it'd lean towards characters who'd be ready to settle down, and who'd be competent enough to live on their own. They should know what is important to them, why exactly that is the case, and what compromises they may be willing to make. Generally, I think it'd be better if they had rather balanced approach towards most things -- after all, given all its complexity, it is hard to see the world as purely black-and-white.

+Emotionally mature, with good understanding of the fact that relationships are both give and take. +"Love is a choice that needs to be made daily" sort of mindset - good idea on why effort matters (and that effort doesn't necessarily need to be some grand gestures).

Suggested Characters: Shingen (IkeSen), Sasuke (IkeSen), Comte (IkeVamp), Theo (IkeVamp; maybe? He has some potential), Leon (IkePri; maybe? He does lean towards "boyish" on the charm scale...), Rio (IkePri; maybe? As before).

Hi, I really love your crits ❤ but I'm wondering why you dislike Frozen so much? I'm a huuuge fan of Aurora and Mulan myself, and I hate more and more every 3D/live action film and terribly miss 2D animation, but I must say I really loved Frozen (only the first one!!), I saw it together with my sister, who's also my bff, so maybe that's why it appealed to us, there were also some traits we felt like we had in common with these characters... and maybe it's also the thing we didn't see the film with English dub, which didn't the best (totally agreed with your take on K Bell! I'm not a fan of her personally). And I know this movie has a lot of flaws, but at the same time it was really easy for me to ignore them - until F2 I guess, it brought up all of my problems with this franchise lol Anyway, I just wanted to ask - bc I think it can be the problem with all of the new (3D) princesses - aren't they a bit bland? I was thinking about it the other day, what's characteristic for Anna and Elsa and... well, he's extrovert, and the other introvert I guess? And Anna is romantic? But there's no hobby, no distinct personal trait, nothing. On the other hand Rapunzel was briefly shown to can/like literally ALL! You make candles? Play guitar? Sew? Sing? No problem, she's just like you, you can identify with her. And the bland princesses? You can easily project yourself onto them if you will, it's not same they like to, it's say, paint - but it's not said they hate/can't do it either, right? So I wouldn't necessarily say I hate Frozen, I just strongly dislike certain tonal elements to it but I generally don't really think about it because it didn't resonate to me. Frozen to me doesn't really feel like a film but rather a commentary on other films? With all of the "you can't marry a man you just met" lines and how all of the plots that occur were clearly planted in order to combat criticisms of the Disney Princess line: ie them not being active, or physical, or being too naïve, or lovesick which is why I think Anna is treated as a joke pretty much. So I feel like I'm watching a commentary track where this film is retroactively beating up the previous films on which it was based on and whose success made that endeavor possible? And honestly...I think that's what a lot of people like about it. At the time it came out, I never really heard anyone talk about the value of the characters- rather the emphasis was on "Elsa's the first Princess who didn't need a man! She's independent! Unlike the other princesses, she's a BADASS" or them applauding how Hans killed the Prince Charming trope (which I think is largely reductive, and not even inventive as Gaston had accomplished that previously, but I digress). In general, most of the elements people find revolutionary about this film are anything but- this film essentially just takes elements from other films and infuses it with a lot of meta-textual criticism and added in some sparkly magic to divert toddlers. I even read a book about women in animation and the author said that a woman contributed the idea of Anna being gassy (which I hate btw, it's not charming it's uncouth and I don't think men or women should openly act like that lol) and how it was game changing for how women were depicted when Princess Fiona already did that over a decade earlier?

Apart from the elements I mentioned above, as I touched on in my previous response, Kristen Bell's voice gives nothing to me. I don't like how Anna is treated as a joke, I think it's visually very boring, I don't like the 3d design, and I have no object permanence for the plot because it feels like there's just a lot happening to keep people from being bored without any weight behind it. I'm also not a fan of the universe, with the trolls and just none of it makes sense? Like they go through hoops to try to hit us over the head with how strong Elsa and Anna are as female leads and how men are useless but then Elsa runs away from her own kingdom and Anna leaves it to the attention of Hans while she goes off in search of Elsa??? I don't know, it just all isn't for me lol I know a lot of people like it and they're certainly entitled to, I just think it isn't to my taste.

Rent a car for three days and let’s go camping, her friends had said. We’ll be back by Sunday evening, they’d said. Just the three of us, music, some nice food and some old films. It had sounded like a normal weekend. But the way it had all ended was not something any of them had expected...

One of them had suggested they go to town to grab a quick drink before they parted ways, and then they’d each grabbed a taxi, instead of having Rigmor drive them like she had thought she would. Odd, but then again, nothing too odd. They were all introverts, after all.

Still, it was getting late bit by bit, she ought to head home soon. As she slipped into the car after having stood outside the bar, watching her friends safely get a taxi, Rigmor let out a breath... then realised someone was ordering her to drive. A stranger, a man she didn’t know, in the seat next to hers.

“Okay, first off, what the hell is happening? And two, who are you?” She obeyed, pulling out of her parking spot and driving off quickly - but not without shooting the stranger an expecting look. “I don’t remember having met you before. Whatever you say stays with me, if you’re running from someone...”
