Backstory 

Surely it was written in the stars! How else could such a sweet soul curdle and rot? Or is hemlock still poison- even when it’s just a sprout?  Lachlan was born out of something more sinister than love. It was a wordless decision, to try for a second child- that was just what was supposed to happen, right? The first child forced their parents into marriage, but if they could just push out another one, maybe everyone would stop whispering about the rushed nuptials and loveless marriage. Maybe they could love this one without resentment, since it’s their choice now, right?  They would try once more after Lachlan, but that child was looked at with the same calculating, discerning gaze as the other two. The Rose family would live in some deranged harmony together, until their father had enough of the charade. The divorce papers were served at Lachlan’s ninth birthday party, and within a week his mother was on a plane from London, back to her hometown of Red Creek.  The children stayed in London. That was what their father wanted, so that is where they stayed. Now, the trouble with being raised by wolves is how comfortable you get with snarling and biting your way through life. To take what you needed, or starve. Lachlan took what he’d been taught, honed his personality until he was just as cutthroat as his father raised him to be. He fell from grace at age sixteen, when he was caught selling fake test answers to his fellow students. He didn’t know the material well enough to pass the exam, but he could so easily make himself look better in comparison, so he took action.  He didn’t stay to see his father’s reaction to his suspension- he just packed his essentials and got on a plane to Detroit, where his mother was waiting to drive him to Red Creek. He stayed there until he graduated, and while he was miserable in such a small town, it allowed him to realign himself into something different, something worthy of being loved. It took untold thousands of dollars in dance classes and acting lessons, but Lachlan was accepted into the University of Michigan’s musical theater program. Finally, he was somewhere he felt truly talented, truly loved. He’d been performing since he was young, and he’d always loved the stage, but he didn’t realize just how talented he was. Immediately after graduation, he booked a two-year contract on a national tour, and for the next six years he performed in multiple off-broadway productions, and was in the ensemble for two broadway shows. Any progress he'd made towards being an actual good, honest person was reversed once he got into the industry. Just like in his childhood, manipulation and sabotage were rewarded. Once again, he had to be a knife, to be cutthroat, just like his daddy taught him. He was a rising star, a true up-and-comer, constantly told he was destined for incredible things. There were rumors that he was being courted as a lead in a new broadway show, but no one ever got to find out if they were true or not- Lachlan had abandoned his apartment in New York and moved to Red Creek almost overnight.  Lachlan has been in Red Creek for five years now, but he has not abandoned his passions- he just made them a bit smaller. When he’s not at the school, he can often be found at the Parrish Center for the Arts, planning or rehearsing or performing various productions. He also frequents the Lakeside Grill every Friday night, and can be found at the Warehouse on Saturdays. 

Wanted Connections

parents of his students/former students- lachlan has an almost cult-like following amongst his students, and he is well-known for picking favorites and offering his most talented students the world, while neglecting the others. these could be parents of either type of student, and maybe they love him and are grateful for how he mentors them or their talented kid, or maybe they resent him for playing favorites and taking small town theater a little too seriously.

an actually close friend- he has 1 (one) person who actually knows him and has seen him be vulnerable. probably is the only one to know how tough his childhood was. one of the only people in his life that he loves unconditionally. maybe they've been through something together, or maybe they're just platonic soulmates. either way, this is the only healthy-ish relationship he has- and even then, he probably manipulates them too. it's just his nature!

casual friends- lachlan is one of those people that shines such a warm, bright light on the ones in his favor, but leaves others out in the cold. he is very blair waldorf, in that he expects everyone to have some kind of use for him, otherwise why keep them around?

high school friends- people he was close with for the two years that he was in high school. they would have known him when he was actively trying to be a good and honest person, and they either don't recognize who he is now, or constantly make excuses for the way he treats people as disposable.

people he has abandoned- the natural evolution of some of his friends. people who he felt didn't offer him anything, or raise his standing. people who were once in his spotlight but have now been tossed under the bed (like jessie in toy story 2 during that sad song)

He was only supposed to be in town for three days to cover for one of the teachers in the high school, three days turned into 10 years in a blink of an eye. It was terrifying but he has since adjusted to this life, he met someone who he thought he was going to marry but she was attacked and died.

Lachlan is very squeamish for reasons he doesn't know but it's always been a thing. It makes it hard to be a science teacher and when biology rolls around, he'd rather skip it all together.

Has a daughter from a previous relationship, she lives with him in their little house in town. Her mother was killed when she was two years old by one of the monsters.

He doesn't mind teaching but there's some days when he would rather not and it can reflect in the quality of his teaching, but hey! They're stuck anyway and there's only so many time he can show the same video.

Is very easy to talk to but can be a bit on the edge due to the whole situation in town.

Summit Telon, disgraced bastard son of Marquess Stephen Telon, fell in love with Lady Cherry Lachlan at twenty-one. This is a new intro post to my Pack in Wolvden! Sorry it has taken so long to post this... i literally just forgot to make this.

For those who want to know who I am on Wolvden: My Pack's name is "The Cryptids Eye Pack" and my player name is ClownCryptids ! my user number is #119087

Some basic info on how I've been playing so far:

I've decided to go with a "Pagan" (mostly Gaelic) name theme for my wolves, bec I feel like those kind of names fit wolves really well! (I've just been using a Pagan baby name site to name them heh)

I really like cool eyes and I want to collect lots of them! Hence the "Eye" in my pack name!

I am going to try to go for a mostly "clean" (not inbred) pack, though I may still have some dirty wolves if i like em enough (cough Rune cough)

Now onto the Wolves!

This is my pack leader Eun! He's pretty boring bec he was my first wolf.. but im emotionally attached to him now. I would love to give him a new base tho!

This is my current Stud and Herbalist Orrin! He is sooo pretty lookin <3 I haven't really used him much for stud tho.. I like getting studs from outside of the pack! Plus Orrin isn't actually that special genetically :P

This is Darragh my Mentor! I bought her bec she was cheep and a high level with maxed out Finisher proficiency but ive decided she has a curse that makes it so she always looses prey... bec of this she has been made a Mentor LOL (She does have great luck in babies tho bec she gave me a pie pup, love her for that <3)

Next up we have Geir and Lachlan! I bought them at the same time as Darragh bec they too had high levels and maxed out hunting proficiencies! They aren't very fancy but they do their job well and I appreciate them for that.

Imogen! Im pretty sure she's my highest stat girl! She too was bought alongside Darragh for the same reasons as the other hunters! She actually has a maxed out chaser prof i think, but I switched her to a finisher to replace Darragh and she is so good at it (probably bec of her high stats)! Also I think she is very pretty :3

Eirene, my second wolf I got in the game! She's the pack member I got to customize! Im probably gonna keep her around just for sentimentality <3 She is currently one of the hunting party's chasers!

Wraith! One of the first wolves I bought! I got her for the eyes <3 She just recently grew up! She's the first wolf Ive had from puppy to adult hood hehe. She is currently expecting puppies! exiting!

Daemon! I bought her shortly after I bought Wraith! She also just grew up and is pregnant as well! I may sell her if I get some better eclipse eyed pups from her... but Im keeping her for now!

History:

After having an amazing daughter and since Khione grew to enjoy the man. They had another child together but this time the child was a boy. Like before Khione stayed around for a few weeks to make sure he could handle the second child. The O’Leary’s already lived on Icaria by the time Lachlan was born. His father did not think Lachlan had inherited special traits from his mother. Until one day when Lachlan was 4 he was angry at his father and started to freeze his hand. 

That’s when Lachlan was moved to live with the older man and his sister who had more experience with raising children like him. Lachlan grew up very close with his sister. He always seemed to be right behind her when she was hanging out with her friends or just trying to live her life.  

During high school Lachlan fell into a not so great crowd. He never was a participator in anything that he did but he would just hang out with them. It was hard for him to make real friends so he hung out with whoever wanted to hang out with him. He didn’t see it as a problem until one night most of them got arrested. Luckily for him it was the one night he decided to ditch them and just stay at home.

 After he graduated high school he was sitting in his kitchen dying of heat. He really wanted something cold but sweet. So he looked up how to make ice cream. He found a recipe and tweaked it just a bit and that’s where his brain child was born. He had never tasted ice cream as good as the ice cream he had made.  It was then that he decided he was going to open up an Ice Cream Parlor in Icaria. After his trip he went to school for business and graduated somewhat on time which was a surprise seeing as he couldn’t focus on anything for more than 5 minutes at a time. During that time his sister left, which even though he knew why she left he still felt a bit abandoned.

While Lachlan was in college he fell out of touch with most of his high school friends. He had made some acquaintances in college but not many that he actually hung out with. Finally after 5 long years at school. Lachlan had saved up enough money with of course his family’s help to open up his own Ice Cream Parlor. Knowing that a big part of his dream came true because of his mother Lachlan named it Khione’s Kones. Now he’s just living the best life he can running his Ice Cream Parlor. 

Fast Facts:

Lachlan is very chill. He doesn’t easily get upset by things. He generally lets everything roll off his back.

Because he is so relaxed he tends to avoid confrontation like the plague. 

If he hadn’t found his dream of opening Khione’s Kones he would have wanted to be a professional beach bum/surfer

Uses his powers usually to cool down drinks because he loves to drink just about everything cold and doesn’t care if it seems to be a “waste” of his powers.

Has a hard time making friends because he wants to be with people but doesn’t want to have to talk to them constantly. Why can’t he just have someone else do all the talking?  

He is a very flexible go with the flow person. He tends to not think about things while they are happening. He just does them and if it turns out bad? oh well this too shall pass.
