Efforts will focus on rebuilding infrastructure, restoring services, and re-establishing Palestinian Authority institutions. It will also aim to complete Palestinian reconciliation, by starting a dialogue between Fatah and Hamas to achieve a consensus that ensures Hamas' acceptance of the committee and the international mission. The document indicates a timetable for initial steps, including issuing a presidential decree to form a new Palestinian Authority government and establishing a Gaza committee.
The plan has been pushed by the UAE for months, and the US has been receptive to it. Axios says, "Israeli officials say Netanyahu liked many parts of the Emirati plan but opposes the more politically-charged aspects, particularly the involvement of the Palestinian Authority in Gaza and the two-state solution vision."
But the response from the PA was a resounding "no." Not a "we'll study it," not a "it has interesting ideas that we may want to keep." Just "strong opposition" to the plan that would force them to eliminate corruption.
So what's their plan? They don't have one.
They haven't said anything except for rejecting every other idea. They don't want any responsibility for governing Gaza - or the West Bank, to be honest. They want the trappings of government without any of the hard work.
The reason is that the PA likes having Hamas in charge of Gaza. It gives them an excuse for not solving problems. It allows them to pretend to be the "good cop" in the region and be honored as a real government of a real state. They like Hamas terrorism. They tacitly supported October 7.
The PA's goals have always been to destroy Israel, and any plan that allows Israel to continue to exist and to be able to defend itself is unacceptable.
Rejectionism is much easier than governing. Especially when the entire idea of a Palestinian state has always been to eventually replace Israel, not to live side by side with it.

A very important interview I want to talk about is Dr. Ghassan Abu Sitta's with Sifr mag.
Dr. Ghassan Abu Sitta is a Palestinian surgeon that came back to Gaza on 9/10/2023 to help and was a first hand witness of the bombing of Al-Ahli Baptist hospitale on the 17th of October.
In the interview Dr. Ghassan says "In choosing the Baptist hospitale, the Israelis chose the hospital with the most international connections. The Baptist hospitale is run by The World council of Churches and it is connected to the Evangelical church in Britain. They chose that hospitale to see how much international dissension & outrage their campaign to destroy the health system in Gaza Strip, will face. In the span of half an hour after the massacre and with the blind acceptance of western media to the Israeli story that is was a misfired Hamas missile, even though the international organizations and media that ran that story did not talk to any survivors, doctors, injured people or their families, that was the international community's message to Israel to go forth with their plan."
"We need to negotiate with the system and not just one tool of the system. If we negotiate the Israelis for just a ceasefire, they will retrieve the tanks and keep the siege. They will retrieve the tanks but the World Bank will withhold the money. The banks will block the donation money that is collected in Bierut or Oman or in other Arab countries from reaching its destination. A regional war will force the system. The system that is America and its tools, WHO, World Bank, IMF or The Red Cross and its agents, be it Israelis or Arab. All these tools you can not negotiate with them unless America felt there's gonna be a regional war. Unfortunately this massacre will not stop unless this war turned into a regional war."
As much as we want fast peace and ceasefire now, these words ring true of the real of a situation that has been going on for 75 years. Right now alot of countries and organizations want to put a bandaid on it in the shape of a ceasefire and move on back to before the 7th of October where Palestinians were being killed in silence. But ironically Israel & the US are actually the ones that are keeping the world from that bandaid. The US government has historically only understood the language of war. If the US doesn't want war it will do everything in its power to not go to war. The thing is, non of the regional countries want to go to war. The region has suffered enough because of the US, Iran & Russia. And the 3 major players (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, & UAE) are in Israel's pocket. That's why what Yemen is doing is so so important. It's affecting their precious economy without going to outright war.
The whole interview is on YT but unfortunately it's untranslated, here's a link:

[ 📹 Falling shrapnel misses journalist Ismail Al-Ghoul by a hair during the bombing by the Israeli occupation forces of the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City today, just barely avoiding the reporter as he was monitoring the situation in the city. ]
🇮🇱⚔️🇵🇸 🚀🏘️💥🚑 🚨
265 DAYS OF ISRAELI GENOCIDE: EGYPT AND UAE TO PARTICIPATE IN OCCUPATION OF GAZA DAY AFTER END OF WAR, ZIONIST MERKAVA TANKS ROLL INTO AL-SHUJAIYA, CLOSED BORDER CROSSINGS AGGRIVATE FAMINE CONDITIONS IN GAZA, GENOCIDE CONTINUES AS CIVILIANS SLAUGHTERED
On 264th day of the Israeli occupation's ongoing special genocide operation in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) committed a total of 3 new massacres of Palestinian families, resulting in the deaths of no less than 47 Palestinian civilians, mostly women and children, while another 52 others were wounded over the previous 24-hours.
It should be noted that as a result of the constant Israeli bombardment of Gaza's healthcare system, infrastructure, residential and commercial buildings, local paramedic and civil defense crews are unable to recover countless hundreds, even thousands, of victims who remain trapped under the rubble, or who's bodies remain strewn across the streets of Gaza.
This leaves the official death toll vastly undercounted as Gaza's healthcare officials are unable to accurately tally those killed and maimed in this genocide, which must be kept in mind when considering the scale of the mass murder.
The United Arab Emirates, in conjunction with the Arab Republic of Egypt, is prepared to participate in the occupation of the Gaza Strip with a "security force" which will remain following the day after the end of the war, according to U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
The United States intends on assembling the so-called security force, which is part of the vision U.S. officials have for managing the Gaza Strip following an end to the Israeli occupation's ongoing genocidal war in the Palestinian enclave.
According to reporting in the Hebrew and Arab newspapers, the U.S. has made some progress in preparing plans for Gaza, having received qualified support from Cairo and Abu Dhabi to form an occupying force, which is expected to work alongside "local Palestinian officers."
Officials from Egypt and the UAE have set certain conditions which, they say, must be fulfilled as conditions for their participation in the plan, including the condition that any force assembled for the occupation of the Gaza Strip must be paired with a path for the establishment of a future Palestinian State.
The demand comes despite Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's continued refusal to allow the establishment of a Palestinian State, one of the main issues the Hamas Resistance movement intended on bringing to the international conversation when it initiated the October 7th Al-Aqsa Flood attacks in the occupied territories.
Local reporting also states that Egypt is further demanding a full withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from Gaza, a condition that could conflict with Netanyahu's insistence on maintaining security control over the Gaza Strip, however tenuous that control may be.
Simultaneously, the UAE has insisted that the United States fully participate in any occupying force in Gaza after the war. However, Secretary Blinken has ruled this out, telling his Arab counterparts that the United States would not participate with its own forces.
However, Blinken has since assured his counterparts that the United States fully intends on helping establish and train any future security forces, and has assured America's partners that their participation would be contingent on a temporary mandate, which would eventually be replaced by a full Palestinian body, with the goal of the occupation of Gaza being to eventually have the Palestinian Authority take control over the Strip, unifying the West Bank and Gaza into a single entity on its way to establishing a Palestinian state.
In other news, the living conditions in the Gaza Strip is rapidly deteriorating as the Israeli occupation army continues its closure of the Rafah border crossing, preventing the free-flow of humanitarian aid and depriving thousands of severely sick and wounded Palestinians from seeking medical treatment abroad.
For more than 45 days, the Zionist entity has closed the Rafah crossing after taking control over the Palestinian side of the border during operations in early May, beginning with its ground invasion of the southern Gazan city of Rafah.
In that time, the Israeli occupation has prevented desperately needed humanitarian aid crom crossing into Gaza, while refusing to allow sick and wounded Palestinians from leaving Gaza to receive medical treatment overseas, leaving much of the Gaza Strip without essential supplies such as food, medicine and fuel.
The scarcity of such supplies have been reflected by the number of deaths due to malnutrition and a lack of medical supplies since October 7th, with the number of deaths resulting from famine currently at 46. Most of the deaths have been among children from northern Gaza, according to reporting.
In the meantime, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Martin Griffiths, said that "about 96% of Gaza’s population (2.1 million people) face high levels of acute food insecurity, including more than 495,000 who face catastrophic levels of acute food insecurity in the fifth stage.”
Griffiths described a situation in which "families face severe food shortages and starvation, and nearly half a million people face catastrophic levels of acute food insecurity that remain unsustainable.”
An international report recently published indicated that "more than 495,000 people (22% of the population) face catastrophic levels of acute food insecurity in the fifth stage, in which families face severe food shortages, starvation, and exhaustion of the ability to cope."
Griffiths continued by mentioning that humanitarian access in the south of Gaza, containing more than two million Palestinians, has decreased significantly with the closure of the Rafah crossing, while obstacles to passing through the Karm Abu Salem border crossing have also increased, pointing to the concentration of population in areas that largely lack potable water, sanitation and hygiene, healthcare and other basic infrastructure.
This increases the risk of the spread of disease, which can have disasterous effects on the health and nutrition of large segments of Gaza's Palestinian population.
According to the previous report, in order to obtain food for their families, half of all Palestinians in Gaza have been forced to exchange their clothes for money, while a third of families have resorted to collecting trash to sell for money and food.
Additionally, half of all families reported they did not have enough food, while more than 20% reported going entire days and nights without food. At the same time, more than 300'000 tons of waste have accumulated in population centers, posing severe risks to the health of nearby families.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation's slaughter continued for another day, with reports in the Palestinian and Hebrew media detailing a new advance of Israeli tanks into the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood of Gaza City.
According to local reporting, the Israeli occupation army called on Palestinians in the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, to abandon their homes and shelters and to head towards the designated so-called "humanitarian zone", south of the Gaza Strip.
Previous safe zones established by the Israeli occupation forces have faced repeated bombardments and attacks, which have resulted in several well publicized massacres of civilian families.
At the same time, Zionist Merkava tanks advanced into the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood of Gaza City, while occupation drones and aircraft fired missiles and dropped bombs near civilians, resulting in a number of casualties.
Local reports state that an Israeli drone bombed areas near the Al-Tunisi Cemetery, east of the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood, resulting in several deaths and injuries.
Medical sources in the Gaza Strip say that a number of civilians were killed, and others wounded, with local paramedic and civil defense crews unable to reach them, due to the violent bombardment by occupation fighter jets targeting the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood, even as the Zionist army advanced into the area.
At the same time, Israeli occupation aircraft opened fire on people, trapping them in their homes and shelters, while local correspondants report that thousands of civilians were displaced by the Israeli occupation's bombing, shelling and gunfire in various areas of Gaza City.
The Israeli occupation forces also forced civilians in the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood, the New Neighborhoods, along with the Al-Turkman and Al-Tuffah neighborhoods, to evacuate their homes towards the southern Gaza Strip by passing down Salah al-Din Street as the occupation army follows them.
Meanwhile, according to reporting in the Palestinian media, a number of citizens were killed and wounded as a result the Israeli occupation's bombardment of the city of Khan Yunis, south of Gaza.
Witnesses report that the Zionist occupation army bombed a number of Palestinian homes in neighborhoods west of the city of Rafah, also south of Gaza, while the Israeli occupation forces detonated with explosives or burned down homes in the Brazil neighborhood, west of Rafah, resulting in large numbers of casualties who arrived at the European Gaza Hospital.
Similarly, Zionist warplanes bombed the Al-Khansaa School in the town of Abasan, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, which houses displaced Palestinian families, injuring a number of civilians.
Occupation armored vehicles and artillery went on to violently shell the Al-Khuza'a area, east of Khan Yunis, resulting in several casualties.
Palestinian Civil Defense reported that the occupation army, on Thursday morning, bombed 5 homes in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City, as well as the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood, east of the city.
The bombing of four of the targeted homes in the Al-Sabra neighborhood led to the deaths two Palestinian civilians, and wounded a number of others, while several people remain missing under the rubble.
Occupation fighter jets also launched a raid on a house belonging to the Al-Wahidi family on Al-Mughrabi Street, in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, resulting in several casualties.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces bombed the Al-Alami neighborhood of the Jabalia Camp, resulting in the deaths of at least 8 Palestinians, and wounding several others.
Occupation raids also hammered the Al-Zaytoun, Tal al-Hawa, and Shiekh Ajlin neighborhoods of Gaza City, with smoke visibly rising from targeted homes in the city.
Zionist jets also bombarded areas in the vicinity of the Wadi Gaza Bridge, north of the Nuseirat Camp, in the central Gaza Strip, coinciding with intense artillery shelling of the area.
Additionally, on Thursday morning, the Israeli occupation forces bombed and shelled neighborhoods east of the Bureij Camp, in the central Gaza Strip, killing several people and wounding a number of others.
Another civilian was killed, and two others wounded, while collecting firewood outside the city of Deir al-Balah, also in central Gaza, as a result of shelling by Israeli artillery detatchments.
As a result of the Israeli occupation's ongoing war of extermination in the Gaza Strip, the current infinitely rising death toll now exceeds 37'765 Palestinians killed, including over 15'000 children and upwards of 10'000 women, while another 86'429 others were wounded since start of the current round of Zionist aggression, beginning with the events of October 7th, 2023.

(Alternatively: march 11 to 17, 2024 week summary for palestine on instagram)
March 15 to March 19, 2024 Palestine Summary. From "Let's Talk Palestine" (instagram broadcast channel). Quote,
March 15, 2024.
Day 161
• UNICEF: 1 in 3 children (31%) under the age of 2 in northern Gaza suffer from acute malnutrition, an escalation from 15.6% in January
• 149 Palestinians killed, 300 injured in Gaza in the past 24 hours
• Netanyahu dismisses Hamas’s ceasefire proposal, despite US stating that it is “within the bounds” of what was discussed + announces war cabinet approved plans for Rafah ground invasion. Israel continues to send mixed signals as they are also set to send delegates for truce talks in Qatar
⚖️ ICJ to begin hearings in early April on Nicaragua’s case against Germany for complicity in genocide in Gaza, per Nicaragua’s request for emergency rulings
🇦🇺 Australia to resume UNRWA funding of $6 million, following internal determination that “UNRWA is not a terrorist organization” despite Israel’s accusations
🔻 Hamas claims 4 Israeli soldiers killed in central Gaza + ground fighting continues in Khan Younis (south Gaza) & targeting of an Israeli armored troop carrier and tank
March 16, 2024.
🗞️ The Palestinian Authority (PA) Prime Minister and his cabinet resigned on Feb 26, while PA President Abbas will stay; a move towards a post-genocide plan to create a ‘unity’ PA gov’t across West Bank & Gaza.
Set up in the 90s, the PA operates as a subcontractor of Israel’s occupation, lessening its financial and political burdens. Today, PA is controlled by Abbas’s US-backed Fatah party, after Gaza split from its control under Hamas in 2007.
Since Oct, US has pushed for Gaza’s return to the governance of a reformed PA, but without elections, as Fatah would likely lose. Rather Abbas claims he’ll appoint a “technocratic government of officials & experts”. He chose a new PM 2 days ago.
But the rhetoric of “Palestinian unity” covers up the plan’s dismissal of popular demands for representative leadership. Palestinians doubt the reforms, overwhelmingly demanding the PA’s dissolution, Abbas’ resignation & PLO elections.
👩🏫 Confused about the PA? Read our post: tinyurl.com/4yhr7k67
Day 162
• 1st aid shipment departing Cyprus arrived in Gaza yesterday carrying 200 tons of food, marking 1st Gaza sea shipment since 2005 + planned 2nd ship coordinated by US, UAE, Spain & Japan; but unclear on distribution of aid across Gaza
• Massacre in central Gaza as Israel destroys home, killing 36 Palestinians, incl. kids & pregnant women
🔻 Senior Hamas & Houthi officials hold rare meeting to discuss coordinated action against an Israeli Rafah ground invasion
• Israeli settlers attack homes in Nablus (West Bank), throwing stones & shooting the air + 20 Palestinians abducted in West Bank, incl. some released in Nov. hostage exchange deal
• Palestinian Authority (PA) president Abbas accuses Hamas of causing “return of Israeli occupation of Gaza”, essentially blaming Hamas for the ongoing genocide. Was prompted by Hamas criticism of ‘unilateral’ appointment of new PM of the PA (see our last broadcast)
• 63 Palestinians killed, 112 injured in Gaza in past 24 hours
March 17, 2024:
Day 163
🇺🇸 NBC: Biden frustrated over drop in poll numbers in swing states Michigan & Georgia due to his handling of Gaza genocide. Shouting and swearing in a White House meeting, saying he’s doing what is right
• 19 aid trucks arrive in north Gaza — first convoys to reach the north without incident in 4 months. But aid remains scarce as Israel keeps blocking entry of aid as trucks pile outside Rafah crossing + rate of malnutrition among children under 2 in north doubles in past month
• 14th Palestinian dies since Oct 7 in Israeli prison following multiple allegations of extreme abusive conditions for Palestinian hostages
🇪🇺 EU President condemns an Israeli Rafah invasion, joining countless nations to do so like the US & Arab countries
• Israeli forces abduct 25 Palestinians, incl. a woman with cancer from Gaza & a child in overnight raids in West Bank
• 92 Palestinians killed, 130 injured in Gaza in past 24 hours
March 18, 2024
Day 164
🚨 Israeli forces raid al-Shifa Hospital, where 30,000 Palestinians are sheltering, shooting snipers at those fleeing despite ordering an evacuation. Al-Shifa has regained minimal functionality since Nov seige, but now unable to treat the injured due to siege. 200+ civilians abducted, incl. Al Jazeera journalist Ismail al-Ghoul & his crew — stripped, blindfolded & taken to unknown location, reporting abuse & beatings
• 81 Palestinians killed, 116 injured in Gaza in past 24 hours
• Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC): Famine imminent, expected in north Gaza by May as 70% of its population subject to “catastrophic” starvation; while famine in Khan Yunis, Rafah & Deir Balah by July
• Israel recaptures Rawda Abu Ajmiyeh, previously released in Nov hostage exchange deal; 13 Palestinians recaptured, a clear violation of the deal
• West Bank: 300 homes demolished + 1,640 Palestinians displaced since Oct 7
🇪🇺 EU announces plans to sanction Israeli settlers

The extent of Russia’s influence in Sudan goes beyond its involvement in the current war. It’s not only fueling war in Sudan but it’s the reason Russia is able to continue its war in Ukraine and other places despite being sanctioned by the West. Russia is surviving western sanctions by exploiting, smuggling gold and aiding the Sudanese Transitional Military Council (TMC) in the suppression of the pro-civilian led government movement.
In 2014, Putin was vocal about creating an economic plan to circumvent potential Western sanctions tied to the Ukraine war. By 2017, they began extending lifelines to autocrats, and unsurprisingly, former Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir joined Putin’s economic pipeline. After a meeting between the two presidents, Russian geologists and mineralogists employed by Meroe Gold arrived in Sudan.
The Russian companies, including Wagner, a private military company linked to Russia and frequently engaged in conflicts worldwide, began establishing a presence in Sudan. Notably, Wagner leader is under US sanctions, accused of meddling in the 2020 US elections. In 2020, under Trump administration, the group was sanctioned for its heavy exploitation of Sudan’s natural resources. The exploitation was so evident that they literally had to be sanctioned by Trump, which is quite surprising.
In 2019, following Al-Bashir’s overthrow, Wagner transitioned to striking deals with the Rapid Support Forces militia general, Hemeti. This militia, formerly known as Janjaweed and implicated in the Darfur genocide, received weapons and training. Wagner, in return, gained access to smuggled gold and devised plans to maintain control, ultimately contributing to today’s proxy war in Sudan.
The method of gold smuggling involved disguising it as flying cookies and concealing the smuggled gold beneath Russian cookie boxes. 🤣
In 2022, @/nimaelbagir a Sudanese journalist and CNN’s Chief International Investigative Correspondent went to a Russian owned gold mining facility in Sudan. Watch her report here ⬇️
Full report here:
In June 2022, the Darfur Bar Association (DBA) launched an investigation and confirmed Wagner mercenaries presence in South Darfur after its attack on gold miners in South Darfur. The investigation also revealed that the Transitional Military council (SAF+RSF) knew about the presence of Wagner in Sudan and in 2019 a copy of the report was actually sent to then prime minister Hamadok.
The DBA investigation also revealed how the UAE is involved in Sudan and its role in the current war. There’s also an extensive investigation report on the role of the UAE in Sudan by the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal that proves the UAE involvement in Sudan.
How are the UAE and Russia linked you might ask?
1) Most Sudanese gold passes through the United Arab Emirates. Unofficial data from the United Arab Emirates reported that over $1.7bn of Sudanese gold landed in Dubai in 2021, just under half the value of all the country’s exports. But there is little accurate data tracking it after it arrives in the UAE (arrives via Russia). Most industry exports reckon that official figures account for less than a quarter of total gold sales. Khartoum’s central bank recorded gold exports of 26.4 tonnes from January to September in 2021 but estimates over 100 tonnes would have been smuggled out during that period. (Africa Confidential)
Amdjarass, the Chadian town just across the Sudanese border, is the base from which the UAE is running an operation supposedly to help Sudanese refugees. But behind the façade of what the UAE maintains are humanitarian efforts, lies covert weapons, drones, and medical treatment to injured RSF fighters. (The Africa Report)
A U.S. Ally Promised to Send Aid to Sudan. It Sent Weapons Instead. (WSJ)
The New York Times report on how the UAE is further involved ⬇️
2) In April 2023, following the onset of the war in Sudan, the Wagner group was exposed by CNN for allegedly supplying missiles to the RSF in their conflict against the Sudanese armed forces (SAF). The arms came through the UAE under the guise of humanitarian aid for Sudanese refugees in Chad. These armaments were destined for the UAE’s local proxy, the RSF, in Sudan’s western region. In addition, CNN exposed that the shipments of surface-to-air missiles provided by Wagner were destined for the RSF via flights shuttling the hardware from Latakia, Syria, to Khadim, Libya, and then airdropped to northwestern Sudan, where the RSF enjoys a strong presence. This support from Wagner is considered a significant factor contributing to the RSF’s continuation of the war and their reported atrocities against Sudanese civilians, including killing, looting, sexual violence, and mass destruction of Sudan’s infrastructure.
The satellite images from CNN and the open-source group “All Eyes On Wagner,” provide evidence of an escalated Wagner presence at the bases of Khalifa Haftar, the leader of a Libyan militia supported by Wagner, in Libya. This heightened presence was purportedly in preparation to assist the RSF militia against the SAF.
Full report here:
3) There is evidence that the UAE has been funding Wagner in Libya to help reduce the financial burden on Russia for its Libyan operations and has been deploying these forces to prop up its ally, General Khalifa Haftar, who has been fighting the UN-recognized Government of National Accord in Tripoli. The report that the UAE is funding Wagner in Libya actually came from the US department of defense, which again is a surprise considering the close alliance of the US and the UAE.
