Look Through Office Furniture Reviews and Ratings
Considering office furniture reviews and ratings is essential because they provide real insights into the office furniture quality, comfort, and durability—factors that are crucial for creating a functional and comfortable workspace. Reviews often reveal how well items hold up over time, if they’re easy to assemble, and whether they meet ergonomic needs, helping buyers avoid potential disappointments. Ratings can also reflect the seller’s customer service and delivery reliability, making it easier to choose a retailer who ensures a smooth buying experience from start to finish.

Armchair
c.1875-1876
Pottier and Stymus Manufacturing Company
This armchair, along with a matching side chair and cabinet, was made for Pottier and Stymus’ display at the 1876 Centennial International Exhibition in Philadelphia. This seminal event offered unprecedented exposure to potential patrons and sparked the nation’s preference for the Aesthetic style. Founding partner Auguste Pottier then donated the pieces to the Metropolitan Museum as examples of distinguished contemporary craftsmanship.
During the late 1870s and early 1880s, New York City emerged as the center for the production of luxury furniture, interior woodwork, and decoration. Companies including George A. Schastey & Co., Herter Brothers, Pottier and Stymus Manufacturing Company, and Herts Brothers flourished during this period of unparalleled financial growth. With showrooms and manufactories located in the city’s thriving commercial district at Union Square, they received commissions from wealthy financiers and railroad magnates in New York City and across the country for custom-made furnishings. These full-service firms depended on the skills of highly trained émigré craftsmen, many of whom had fled political strife and economic hardship in regions that compose modern-day France and Germany.

Self-Own
One thing which bothers me especially about the ongoing enshittification is how clearly and completely unnecessary it all is. And not just "Well as a consumer I would like to have Free Stuff", I mean that it's clearly, provably possible to have a non-enshittified business model offering the same product and still be profitable.
Like, I don't want a robotic vacuum cleaner which uploads an interior map of my house to the Internet. I just want one which goes around my house and picks up small detritus. You know, like those same fucking robotic vacuum cleaners used to do. This isn't a new concept. It's what they DID before they figured out they could upload a map of my home for "analytics".
I don't want my car to rifle through my personal messages and give them to the manufacturer. I just want it to connect to the speakers and let me play music. The way they used to do, just a few years ago.
And the list could go on and on. So many companies have just decided to make their own products objectively worse, in increasingly horrific ways. And there was a time when they were terrified of that. Because if Honda decided to reduce the range of their cars by 50 miles unless I pay a monthly fee for a "Premium Highway Package", 1) every consumer out there would instantly stop buying Hondas and 2) the US government would sharpen their knives and go to town.
But today? Oh, sure, I can choose to not buy a Honda. I can buy a Ford, which has the exact same limitation except they call the version which lets you use your truck an "Explorer" addition; I could go to Toyota and get theirs with the "Wanderer" monthly upgrade. I have no actual choice, it's just who benefits from the enshittification. And the government? In the unlikely event they get investigated and it actually makes it to court ten years down the road, a conservative judge will dismiss the case because "the law is too complicated".
We need to return to a world where corporations where afraid of people.

Innocenti C coupé
Born in Piscaia, Tuscany in 1891, Ferdinandi Innocenti started his business career by establishing a hardware store in Rome. The business grew, and in 1920 Ferdinandi established a factory in northern Italy in Milan, in the Lambrate district. The factory produced everything from soccer stands to railways, and the reconstruction boom in Rome in particular boosted demand. The factories suffered in the Second World War, but Innocenti had kept them up and running productively for wartime needs even through difficult times. After the war, the factories also started producing for the vehicle industry, inspired by military motorcycles. Enrico Piaggio had introduced the Vespa in 1946, and Innocenti introduced their first scooter, Lambro River by Lambretta, just a year later. The scooters became a huge success and were manufactured under license in Spain, India, Argentina, Germany, France and Brazil. At the end of the 1950s, another economic boom followed in Italy, and the working class could for the first time get their own car, such as the Fiat 500. Ferdinando's son Luigi had taken over as vice president of the company and began to explore the possibilities of manufacturing passenger cars. A cooperation partner was first found in Germany, and a small Iseria passenger car was born in cooperation with Goggomobil. However, production was very marginal until the early 1960s when Innocenti entered into a cooperation agreement with the British BMC and began to produce Innocenti Austins and Mini Minors under license.Innocent's first in-house model followed just a year later when it introduced the Austin-Healey Sprite-based 950 Spider. Encouraged by Innocenti’s first sports model, the collaboration with Ferrari also began, and two 186 GT prototypes equipped with the V6 from Maranello were completed, until Ferrari decided to bury the project in 1966.
Innocenti was not discouraged, and developed their own small Coupé model, which was presented later in the same year. Ghia used the earlier Spider model as the basis for the design, and Sergio Sartorelli, who has made a name for himself with models like the Karmann Ghia Type 34 and the Fiat 2300 S, was given the main responsibility for the design. The wheelbase was extended and the rear of the car was completely redesigned. Special attention was paid to the quality of the materials in the interior, and the GT spirit was also exuded by dashboard including five gauges, the oil pressure gauge was straight from the Ferrari 250 GTE. New Innocenti C was powered by BMC's A-series 1098cc engine, producing 58bhp with two SU carburettors – enough for a coupe with a curb weight of just 695kg.

So I had my dad talking to me about cars today, telling me how I should basically avoid getting any cars except those made by Japanese companies because of how shitty other countries manufacture their cars (mileage and life span)
Do you have any thoughts on this? I don’t know much about cars and I thought of this blog while I was having this conversation so that’s why I send here
Do I have thoughts on this. Do I have thoughts on this. Babygirl (gender neutral) I have thoughts on aspects of cars you wouldn't even conceive of. I have thoughts on aspects of cars that aren't even real. Up the ante, folks! Ask me which cars are most bisexual!
That aside, for my opinion: Italian food is good. But of course, when I eat out in Italy, I don't go to any random place because "this country does this well", because I'm not ordering from a country, or a region, or a city, but from a specific joint - and some of them suck, some dropped or rose in quality, some are exceptionally good/bad with certain things, hell, some serve foreign food and then what's the adage matter now! That's why Yelp doesn't have country reviews.
Much the same, Japanese cars are usually pretty reliable, but Nissan spent the last two decades making a case against that claim (especially with their CVT transmission, a known ticking time bomb they've done fuck all about for years) with the help of whatever's left of the shell of Mitsubishi, and Infiniti is just the luxury brand of Nissan so ditto for it... indeed, another point to make, some cars are just based on, or outright are, cars from other brands. Infinitis are built by Nissan, and usually based on the equivalent Nissans. Except the QX30, which is just a Mercedes GLA - which probably was part of the same deal through which Mercedes got to sell the Nissan Navara as the X Class.
And there's a lot of cross-nationality brand partnerships like that, past and present, like the four-decade-long Mazda/Ford one, or the time Saturn had such a crappy engine they had to get Honda to give them a proper one. And by the way, the guy who posted that? He owns a different Saturn which took 360k miles of bare minimum care like a champ, because reliability can vary wildly within a lineup, and also a Volkswagen that's been a thorn in his side, which definitely wasn't the experience I had with mine, because mine is over twice as old, and a brand can completely change over time too! (You'd think they were run by people or something.)
In fact, reliability changing over time and models is the norm - not as drastically as, say, "older German cars were unstoppable tanks and now they're overly fit-prone electronics messes where everything is costly to buy and dastardly to replace" (which, however, is actually a notable trend), but usually in terms of "in this model, through these production years, this component was overly keen on failing" (as per my Accord post). Part of how Toyota (and by extension its luxury brand Lexus) rightfully earned its reputation of King Reliability is such cases in their production being especially few and far between, and none notable enough to become an automotive meme like Subaru head gasket failures (and no, the Camry dent doesn't count). So, say, Hondas may not be less reliable, just a bit less consistently so (but even there, Honda interiors tend to hold up much better than Toyotas', yadda yadda yay for nuance).
So if you are buying a used car (as you should) it's always important to research for potential common problems (for instance, pre-90s Toyota frames are to rust what the letter X is to Elon Musk) and thoroughly inspect the car, to check that nothing is broken and that it's been properly serviced.
That last part is very important, because reliability is not a tickbox, it's a spectrum, and a function of how a car was built and how it was maintained. Carelessness will kill any car sooner or later. Every car has fluids that will at some point need changing, wear items that will at some point need replacing, and the occasional part failure. Even yours. So even when it comes to your car, keep up with that stuff, or it will eventually catch up to you. (And if regular services would tax your finances, look into how to perform them yourself - you'll find it's a lot easier than you thought, you'll give it a shot and it will be very rewarding and save you a lot of money!)
And also, if a hinge starts squeaking, if something starts sagging, if some trim breaks, if you get a dent or scratch, take care of those too. Not because they make your car work less or worth less, but because they foster an indifference that snowballs into neglect. Working on those little things will keep you feeling like your car is nice and your loving effort is going to keep it nice, dammit - in much the same way as it's important to take care of yourself and your environment for your mental health, to keep yourself feeling like you are making it and with your loving effort you are going to keep making it, dammit.
Links in blue are posts of mine explaining the words in question - if you liked this post, you might like those!
#i am genuinely so sorry for how long it took me to get to ya#i just spent ages perfecting this#writing and looking into a lot of things I ended up trimming and such#hope you like it!#japanese cars#maintenance#infiniti qx30#mercedes cla#nissan navara#mercedes x class#toyota#lexus

Coty powder compact designed by Leon Bakst, Made by Coty Inc in Paris, France, 1935-1955.
The founder, Francois Coty believed the aesthetics of the packaging to be as important as the product. After his successful artistic partnership with designer Rene Lalique in the early 20th century, Coty approached Leon Bakst to design the Air Spun powder box. Leon Bakst is celebrated for his colourful exotic costumes and decors created for the Ballet Russes, which prompted new fashions in dress and interior decoration. This colourful, exotic aesthetic can be seen in the design of the powder box, where fluffy white powder puffs with black and gold handles float against an orange and gold background. Bakst’s original powder box design was made of Moroccan leather with gold leaf embossing. However, these boxes were expensive to manufacture and Coty paid his customers to return them when empty. They were then sent to Japan where the gold leaf would be scraped off and then reused. Bakst’s design was later modified into a cheaper cardboard version by Coty’s commercial artist Georges Draeger. The design of the packaging created an impression of luxury and prestige, while still being mass produced. These ‘luxury’ items were made even more accessible to middle and working class women by packaging them in small quantities and creating gift sets and co-ordinating product lines. Coty Air Spun powder was very successful, selling in Europe, North and South America, Australia and Asia. It was so popular in Asia that the ‘Rachel’ colour was created specifically for Asian skin tones. Coty is an internationally renowned beauty product and fragrance company that was founded in Paris in 1904 by François Coty. The company was acquired by the fragrance division of Unilever in 2005. In 2010 Coty had it’s headquarters in New York City and had become the world’s largest manufacturer of mass-market fragrances, aligning many of its new fragrances with celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker, David and Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Lopez and Calvin Klein. What are the Uses of Custom Plastic Manufacturing ?
In this day and age, custom plastic manufacturing has turned into a foundation of current industry, giving custom-made solutions across a wide cluster of areas. From medical services to auto, the versatility of plastics and the accuracy of custom manufacturing methods have made it conceivable to address explicit issues with unmatched productivity. We should probably dig into the main purposes of custom plastic manufacturing and grasp its effect on different businesses.
1. Medical and Healthcare Applications
Custom plastic manufacturing is reforming the medical services industry. Medical gadgets, prosthetics, and parts of symptomatic machines are progressively being produced using custom-planned plastics. A plastic manufacturing company offers a few benefits, including solidness, lightweight properties, and the capacity to be cleaned. Learn About the Basics of Vacuum casting
Within the dynamic realm of production and prototyping, urethane casting is a unique technology that provides cost-effectiveness, accuracy, and diversity. Urethane casting has become the industry standard for a variety of applications, from complex prototypes to small-batch production runs, including consumer electronics, medical equipment, and the automotive and aerospace sectors.
Gratitude Casting of Urethane
The first step in the procedure is to create a master pattern, which is usually done via fast prototyping techniques like CNC machining or 3D printing. The silicone molds that are made from this master pattern are used to pour polyurethane resin into. The resin mimics the fine features of the master design once it has dried, producing pieces that are excellent and ready for manufacturing.
Flexibility throughout Sectors
The adaptability of urethane casting across sectors is one of its most noteworthy benefits. Urethane casting may be used for a variety of purposes, including the production of end-use components and prototypes for new product development. For instance, urethane casting makes it possible to quickly iterate ideas for dashboard panels, interior trim, and lighting fixtures in the car industry. Similar to this, urethane casting makes it easier and faster to produce unique medical device housings, surgical instruments, and prosthetic components in the medical profession. Vacuum casting also offers flexibility.
Benefits Compared to Conventional Approaches
When compared to conventional production techniques like CNC machining and injection molding, urethane casting has several significant benefits. The most important factor is cost-effectiveness. Because urethane casting requires less tooling up front, it's a great option for low-volume production runs if standard tooling costs are too high. Urethane casting also has a short turnaround time, which enables companies to quickly develop and refine ideas without having to wait for long lead periods.
Additionally, the design freedom provided by urethane casting makes it feasible to produce intricate surface details, undercuts, and complicated geometries that would be difficult or impossible to accomplish with alternative manufacturing processes. This versatility also applies to the choice of material, since a variety of polyurethane resins are available to satisfy certain performance needs, including those related to hardness, flexibility, and chemical resistance. You can Explore vacuum casting also.
