his shoulder aches from taking the brunt of most of his falls. the gentle kiss to his forehead makes up for it a little though.

the heels of his boot scuff against the wooden planks beneath him as he pushes himself up to sit. “ yeah, a break sounds about right. we can try again later. besides, s’almost snacktime. i wonder what sanji’s making. ”

it was actually a fairly quiet day save for the two of them out on deck. luffy and chopper joined nami and robin on the supply run, which afforded them the focus to work on cirrus’ abilities. having the other pair around would be fun, but it would quickly become a less focused practice session for what usopp and cirrus were trying to accomplish.

They had been practicing for months, carefully trying to work out to the proper strength of the cloud to make it so someone who wasn't her could ride on it. Their efforts had been....minimally successful. Cirrus could make the cloud form, but Ussop would just fall straight through to the deck.

Wincing as he landed again Cirrus knelt down by his head, giving him a smile. "I am gonna owe you big time when we get this right." She laughed, leaning over him to kiss his forehead. "Wanna take a break?"

Sometimes, i think how beautiful is the love between all the strawhats. I'm not talking about the romantic one, but the platonical. Besides i believe that any names could describe how their relationship works.

Oh, they just love so much each other. They LIVE, they keep going for them. They watch their backs, they fight GOD for them, they would burn, drown, kill, loose limbs for keep their nakamas safe.

It's so cute the fact that they do everything together. If they bath, they bath together. If they're gonna eat? They eat together! They're gonna sleep, they sleep together. One of them got a fever, they'll gonna look after them while asleep. Someone is sleeping without an blanket? Someone will bring one for them. One of them is working? There's always someone to make them company.

They tease each other, they hit their asses, they gonna fight for the insignificant things, they gonna argue, they gonna disturb each other, they will call you dumb and hit you, they can be mean for fun, and never say "i love you", because they just gonna show their love in different ways that doesn't need words.

It's funny to think they're so close, even they spent more time apart than together. But the dedication they have for each other, I feel like it was in the stars that they would meet, and at the moment when they needed it most, they appeared in each other's lives like sacred angels and bringing good company and shaping their bonds. unique characters that make it feel more like a family than a simple pirate crew. They are far from the conventional pirates we are familiar with in fiction. Because that ship became more than a shelter, it became a home.

And one day, this crew will be disbanded, and they will be able to go on with their lives peacefully. Travel, study, maybe get married, manage somewhere... And then, will their hearts sometimes go back to the sea and think "I miss those crazy days, with those people and with my captain..."? Everything will be just memories in the very distant future, but they will always carry a part of themselves in each other. They changed their nakama's lives forever.

But they've never got a chance to say "i think you're my family. And i love you", but like i said, they don't need to say. Their actions do it for themselves. They have so much love to give.

Oh, to be loved by your friends. To be cared by them. To call the sea your home, having a place to came back, but risk your life for some people that you've meet for a little time in your life, because you learned you can love, and now you have someone to share this love. Oh, they are destined to meet, they're all made for eachother. They're soulmates.

It's Usopp sad hours again, sorry in advance 😬

I just feel that after they leave egghead and arrive to Elbaf, probably the crew will meet Shanks and Usopp finally sees Yasopp again, I know how canon managed Usopp whole backstory with his f- Yasopp (doesn't even have the right to be called like that); but I really want a scene where Usopp realizes he was abandoned by Yasopp and was left alone, I want something like they expect a perfect reunion, where Usopp can tell Yasopp about his real adventures but instead, the moment Usopp sees him, he just feel sad and empty and the idealization breaks completely.

even after wrapping her up in the blanket, tucked in at all sides and even wrapped around her feet so the cold couldn't seep in, usopp observed her trembling, brows knit together and eyes screwed shut. for further warmth, he decided to curl up around her, arms around her swaddled form and cheek pressed against her blanketed shoulder. just until the shuddering calmed down.

her muffled whimper garners his attention, head popping up and meeting her dazed eyes.

" hey... you're a little more awake now. " the elements on punk hazard sure did a number on her. even with kin'emon's continued attempts to provide her with the needed winterwear, it was to no avail.

" chopper says you got a pretty high fever, so he's preparing some medicine to ease any aches you're feeling. sanji's started on soup... and, i'm gonna be right here with ya, okay ? so, just get some rest. "

Disjointed vignettes were the only thing the dancer retained from their time at Punk Hazard. Even before she lost consciousness, she fought her hardest not to succumb to the cold and defend her crewmates. She simply lacked the warmth and momentum to contest it any longer. Faded voices drifted in and out, but she could not discern the words spoken. When she opened her eyes, she was struck with overwhelming pain. An agonizing gnaw on joints ravaged every articulation. It was impossible to ignore. Even looking at things was uncomfortable. Tremors traveled up and down her spine. She was swaddled tight in a blanket. This caused the dancer erupted into panic . . . though there was nothing she could do about it.

She could barely move. It was undoubtedly the work of a fever and a savage one at that. Her weak crooning did not make it past her lips, but she hoped that her stirring—as meager as it was—would alert someone.

It took a moment to connect that the pressure exerted on her was more than just that of the blanket. It was coupled with the force of whoever had wrapped her up in the first place. A strangled whimper gurgled in her aching throat. When the head turned, her heart swelled. Neela immediately relaxed ( save for the intermittent shuddering ) and stared up at him. Usopp?
