Simon wiped the sweat from his brow, his breathing steady but deep after finishing the 10-mile race. His usual polished look was slightly disheveled, but there was a subtle pride in his posture. He felt like he had to participate, with HCP sponsoring the events and making donations, but he was glad he did. He glanced around and spotted Marcel, his neighbour. He grabbed a bottle of water and went towards him.

“Marcel,” Simon greeted with a nod, stepping over with a quick stretch of his arms. “I didn't see you on the run, how did it go for you?"

How would the ROs react if their MC is a very affectionate person and they suddenly stop? Because someone told them that they are very annoying

💛 Marcel 

Marcel would try to handle this as delicately as possible when he first noticed it. He knows that relationships go through stages and wouldn't want you to feel like you were in the wrong for not being as affectionate as before, but he would miss it. 

I could see him trying to test the waters with his affection, wanting to know what you were okay with, which would bring up a conversation about what you were comfortable with. 

When he hears about what that person said, he is already shaking his head.

 "Don't listen to them. They don't know our relationship or us. Let us decide what is best for us, and what is best for me is for you to be yourself." Marcel said. "I don't need anyone telling you how to feel or how to act when everything you do is perfect." 

🧡 Margaret 

Margaret would notice that since she is also a very affectionate person, she would try and do the same, thinking that something was wrong with her. 

I think that you both would stew in angst and miscommunication until Marcel, Camila, or even your Aunt Zinnia made you confess what was going on before the relationship got too bad. 

When Margaret hears what that horrible woman said, she won't be able to stop herself from giving you comfort with sweet touches and words of her own. 

"I love you. This week has been miserable without your soothing touches." Margaret pouts. "Please don't stop."

Yeah, to hell with that. Owen isn't that big on public displays, but the moment you stopped, he would find that he missed it. Especially in private. 

So Owen would grab you and hold you in his lap, asking you what was wrong the moment he saw your personality change. 

When the redhead finds out the reason you are acting strange, he will shake his head in disgust. 

"That bloody bastard. Ye listen here lass/lad/duck, I don't give a mules ass what that bastard said, I want anything you will offer me." He said it, his voice softening at the very end. "The kisses, tender words, and especially the love."

She could sense something was wrong from a mile away. You would be able to feel her eyes on you as you hesitated to show any kind of affection. 

Rosemary would swallow down the anxiety of you getting bored because you weren't like that. 

You loved her. 

Gently creasing your cheek. "Tell me, what's the matter? Why aren't you your usual affectionate self?" 

When you finally tell her, Rosemary is at a loss for words; she wants to walk out that door and find whoever said those lies to you. 

Rosemary shook her head, kissing you lightly. "I have spent my whole life wanting to feel someone's love and kindness, so don't you dare take that away from me, dollface/angel face/handsome because no good storyteller wants to stick their nose where it doesn't belong."

Would think you were mad at him for something and try to figure out what. How could you withhold his kisses?! What evil thing did he do? 

In the end, when he couldn't figure it out, he had to ask you, and when he found out, he couldn't help but clench his fist, starting to pace. 

"That absolute imbecile." Tai would curse them out for a few minutes before looking at you with all seriousness. 

"Wipe those thoughts from your mind. They are all false. Your affection isn't unwanted. Not by me. Not ever." 

💚 Zane 

The minute this happens, Zane will know and not be happy. First off, Zane likes a routine, especially if you're affectionate for him (something he craves like a madman) goes away. He would not be able to stop himself from right out asking what was wrong. 

When he hears why you aren't being affectionate to him, he will grip your chin. "Listen to me, little lion, the moment I stop craving your love, strike me down where I stand for that is not me." 

The next thing you know, Zane is hunting this person down to give him peace of mind.

It's the man you saw at court, the one that wore the dark suit and sat as far away from the Night King as possible. He looks totally different here. His stern, tailored suit is gone, replaced by a button down shirt, brown blazer, and a plaid peaked cap. He looks almost twee. "Lord Medici?" "Please. Call me Marcel." He sits beside you and smiles. The gesture looks so natural, so human, you could almost believe… if you didn't see the wickedly sharp hook of his canines.

Marcel is the vampire Lord Medici, a member of the Night Court. He rules over a small but prosperous domain that boarders with Blackwell's and is very interested in forming an alliance... of sorts.

Marcel has served on the Night Court for many years and is bored of playing things safe.

A lover of the finer things in life, Marcel can often be found enjoying music or art, and has been known to sponsor a variety of different creative works. He is a fencer and good at fighting with a blade, both in formal and informal settings. He can be charming when he wants to be. He can also be dangerous when he needs to be.

Marcel's vampiric powers manifest in control over the darkness, known to some as 'the path of the shadow'. He can teach these powers to a vampire eager to embrace the darkness as an ally.

i'm having so much fun why didn't you guys tell me the writing and lore and world building for thicker than is so immaculate what the hell. something so distinctly vtm flavored and referential to it but in a way that doesn't feel like an imitation it's sooooo good. i don't want to go anywhere i want to shut myself in and play vampire interactive fiction forever and ever

Like her usual routine, Prue found herself at the café in the evening while she prepared herself with caffeine to last all night doing the radio show. She order a strong coffee before she sat down and did some song planning at a table and took a drink when she looked up and saw Marcel. "Well, there's the other half of the happy couple. You know, you guys keep this up, you may beat Stevie and Johnny for the happiest couple in Kismet. Or at least the café." She teased him a little bit.

Events weren't a big thing Jeremy liked to do, but he wanted to check things out a little bit. Plus, he would be lying if he didn't like the food they served during these things. He got in line to get some when he spotted a familiar face and he waved to Marcel. "Hey, man. Been a minute." He couldn't remember exactly how long it had been since he saw the man, but it was good seeing him.

cant remember bringing this up for a while so honestly i'll never be over the reiiteration that jean himself has a bleeding heart. he is going to be both blunt and honest with whoever hes speaking to, but in a way that he hopes will come to help them understand the situation but also does it so whoever he's speaking with actually understands the full situation and what that may entail despite the gruesome outcome.

ok so i need to gush about the Everything is OK Show by Studio Flimpo. its like 6 minutes and it brought me to tears. Its so, so good, please, please, please go watch it. Link here (https://youtu.be/61JyO-_Feoo?si=aqDg2PZdsiTZnRLW)

ok so first off everything about this short has phenomenal execution. the writing is so fluid and personal. I can not get over how attached I got to both Albert and Marcel. Albert changes his tense all the time as he talks with Marcel, signifying his omniscience. The voice acting is incredibly good and upon re-watches the tone of both levity and somberness are just perfectly conveyed. Do I even have to talk about the animation!? Its so bouncy and dynamic, with the painterly back grounds and lined characters fitting together beautifully. The colors, lighting and details all scream passion and love for the craft. Then on top of all that the plot is so tightly wound up in ever part of the presentation. Death is both deeply existential and hilarious, regret is never mentioned but permeatesthe whole story, and the comedy is on point. Terry Pratchett would be proud.

One of my favorite details of the plot is the Last Wish of each soul. As Marcel falls from the sky He says his Wish is to make a mark on the world and while Albert says this isn't the case I think the fact its included in the Show means that Albert was simplifying the situation. Marcel didn't want to make a mark "the world" but the world of his crush. This manifested as his Last Wish being to admit his love and painting the sky for him.

The silence as he says "i love you" and cut to the balcony scenes was the thing that broke me. The moment was so personal that it was cut out of the Show, despite being the whole point of it. You don't broadcast sacred things to an audience, because then it would no longer be so.

I have so many questions about how The Show works. Albert is definitely capital D, Death or at least a major psychopomp. My first thought was if the Everything is OK Show is a thing Albert made for Marcelor as a construct that is unique to his cultural background or just a thing Albert does to all souls. Maybe its both??? I imagine the Show would look different for a neanderthal, a medieval dishwasher, or a Buddhist monk. Maybe instead resembling the story telling methods that the individual soul is familiar with. The Show for Marcel was ambiguously stated to be a talk and game show. This was probably because Marcel was familiar both and his wanted to be noticed as an artist. This made the Show manifest as a strange combo of the two. The Show would probably manifest as a mural on a cave for the neanderthal and Albert as a oral and pictographic story teller. The dishwasher would have a theater and Albert as a play director. The monk might have a monastery and Albert as a fellow monk. I think with would make sense as all of these different mediums could be contextualize through eachother through the common point of the Last Wish being a narrative device.

Then there is the Contract. Albert says he is contractually obligated to guide people to enact their final wish and then through the Door to Everything. Did he get this omniscience from this Contract? Did this also make him omnipotent too? What was he before? Was he made by the Contract as a way to guide the dead? These are all irrelevant questions but I can't stop myself.

Also, Albert is by far my favorite, hes a short king, he makes fun of how you died, hes the existential guide to infinite, hes the kindest person you'll ever meet, he signs contracts with his initials arranged to be a cock. im in love

It had been a pretty long race but it felt good. He took a sip of his own water bottle and nodded. "Yeah, went alright." It's not like he had any pretentions that he would finish first or anything, so he was simply glad he'd made it to the finish line. Running wasn't even his favourite way to exercise. Marcel was still trying to catch his breath after having raced to reach the finish line before some of his old buddies from high school. He remained undefeated, but at what cost? He had made the mistake of sitting down shortly after and could feel how tense his muscles were getting. Walking around to try warm himself back up again, he grinned when he spotted Simon. Marcel would have the most patience out of all the ROs. Anything you give to Marcel, he will gladly take. Will he want to touch you? Of course, but he wants you to enjoy yourself, and if that is slowly torturing him with your touches, then he will fall to your will.

You can have control, but not being able to touch you would be torture. Margaret would break, and a hundred percent would be begging to touch you only a few minutes in. She would even feel guilty and maybe even say she was sorry, but being able to explore your body again would let her mind forget for only a few minutes. 

❤️ Owen 

Hell no. Owen wouldn't even try. If he couldn't touch you, then what was the point? First, he would try to coax you with whispers of how much better it would be if you just let him feel you. If that doesn't work, then he is pouncing, taking control where he can feel your flesh against his touch. 

💙 Rosemary 

Rosemary would probably be the one to most enjoy this. For you, as a lover, to take your time to explore her body and to take note of every reaction would be the most satisfying thing in the bedroom. You would hear the moans and the purrs in your ears as you explored, and you would even praise her when you touched her in just the right way.

It would depend on what mood Tai was in or how persuasive you are. Lol. Tai is stubborn, and if you were to challenge him, he would not falter, no matter if he wanted to. With clenched teeth, Tai would watch your hands run down his chest, but he would not break. Prue yawned as she walked out of the record store and locked the door behind her. While they didn't open for a few more hours, she had finished her radio show and the morning guy was in there now. He'd open it for whoever opened and she was supposed to head home and be back later for her shift. However, she didn't feel like going home since she did have water and instead found herself out in the downtown area to get some coffee. After parking her car, she got out and smiled as she saw Marcel down the sidewalk. "Up early, huh?"
