The swatch

Everyone gets the same recolors but the children don't have necklaces. For non-AF recolors, don't forget to choose either standalone or repo'd.

I included all files even the ones made by the creators credited (mainly for AF) because I edited them in the following ways: • disabled EF on the AF recolors (since EF now have their own mesh and recolors), enabled them for YF when needed, • fixed shoe sounds when needed, • fixed small texture flaws when needed, • edited file names for clarity and consistency, • changed sortindex numbers so that all sets appear tidily one after the other in CAS, • all recolors are now categorized as everyday & formal and 10 of them are also enabled as outerwear (I'll specify which ones as we get to them).

1. Maxis

For all age groups, these 3 recolors will appear in the Nightlife section of the CAS catalog, as if they had shipped with the game (no cc star).

As long as you have the Nightlife expansion, you already have these 3 for AF. However, you'll see I still included 3 Maxis files in the AF folder: they're optional and their function is to disable the Maxis recolors for elders so that they're only available for Y-AF, and to make the red dress (#3) available in CAS (it's hidden by default).

Still in the AF folder, you'll find 2 optional texture default replacements for the red dress: "NoShadow" removes the inter-boob shadow (that shadow doesn't exist on the other 2 recolors), while "NoShadowNoNecklace" is if you want no shadow and also no necklace.

Choose one of the two files at most, and note that if you pick "NoShadowNoNecklace" the necklace will also disappear from recolors 1 & 2.

Okay

So when I say it was reader led, I mean I created a world and a plot and changed my whole blog theme for a whole month. People sent in asks, and I would answer them as if I was the characters in the story. Through this, the audience slowly revealed the plot and the world

I posted art of all the major characters, drawn in the style of as if they are being surveilled by the Facility (the research place) in the case of people on the outside, or as case reports in the case of the test subjects

The basic idea was that the Brother gods had angels that would do their bidding on Remnant and be the go between for them and humanity. (The gods were more ambivalent in this version, but it doesn’t really come up) The angels also sort of act like the Greek gods do, occasionally inter mingling with humanity to create semi-deific offspring

When the gods leave Remnant and take magic with them, it sent a ripple across the world forever altering everyone who lives there. EVERYONE was combined at a fundamental level with animals, gaining many of their physical traits and instincts. MANY more traits than Faunus’ one. For example, Ruby is a wolf hybrid and she has the hindquarters, tail, ears, little snoot, and paw pads/claws on her fingers

The angels also left with the gods, but because they weren’t fully immortal they were sort of banished to another realm. A sort of in between dimension where they can observe but not directly interfere. The audience are actually these angels!

The real problem comes from the humans/angel half breeds

Centuries passed and the bloodlines become more and more diluted. Salem, who was a little girl at the time of the cataclysm, is now an old woman. (She’s a snake hybrid so her lifespan was greatly increased. She’s had to watch everyone she loves die)

Over the centuries she was able to accrue a large amount of wealth and influence, so she starts researching the gods. And when that falls apart, she starts researching the angels. Eventually she finds out that their descendants are still around, although it’s been so long that they haven’t had abilities or wings for centuries

She puts in more money, time, and research and eventually figures out how to identify the people with latent angel DNA. And how to bring their traits to the forefront

Ironwood becomes involved at this point, seeing the program as a good way to create soldiers. Salem is just using him, but he doesn’t really care. Their first test subjects are prisoners on death row, people who if they went missing nobody would care. Hundreds of prisoners die in the Facility from failed transformations. Tyrian is the first one to survive, and the process is perfected with Hazel

(By transformation I mean multiple wings, floating rings of eyes, maws of teeth and eyes, that sort of thing. The gods angels were FULL biblically accurate)

But they have their own opinions. They’re adults. They’re incredibly strong and useful, but Salem needs minds she can mold. So she starts “recruiting” children

Cinder, Roman, Neo, Mercury, and Emerald all less than willingly join their ranks. They’re all children when they’re kidnapped, and it’s been at least fifteen years for most of them by the time the plot actually starts

The final recruit is Jaune Arc, Salem’s own grandson. He’s the perfect candidate, her own family, trusting and with latent angel traits to boot. He vanishes from his home, has his memories wiped (the only one to do so since the others don’t have a home to remember) and joins their ranks

The plot begins when one of Ironwood’s other projects, Project Achilles aka star athlete Pyrrha Nikos, makes friends with Raphael.

Salem can’t call him Jaune in case his memories come back, and the scientists only refer to them all by case number. The other angels and other employees (Pyrrha, Pietro, Penny) call him Jaune

Salem doesn’t like that Raphael is getting close to someone else, because that means he might start thinking for himself. So she has Pyrrha killed. This makes Jaune lose it and have his mind wiped AGAIN, this time of all memories of Pyrrha

And this is the final straw for Pietro Polendina. Penny is caught in the crossfire and grievously injured. And when he’s sent to check on Jaune after he’s wiped, he doesn’t remember Pyrrha. So a break out happens, and Jaune Arc Test Subject Extraordinaire arrives on Ezra Ozpin’s porch

That’s where the plot begins at least. I can’t summarize all of it, and there’s a BUNCH of stuff I missed, but that’s the beginning. If you want to read it, you can either go through the faau tag, or go to the AO3 link below

Humans are Space Orcs: First Encounter

Planet Hedar 9-BG6, 2135 GE (Galactic Era) 

We had scheduled meetings between the leaders of the various species of sentient life that have become members of the United Inter-Galactic Federation with the topic of allowing a newly introduced species to be inducted into our council.

Humans, from the Level 10 Death-World, Earth.

I, Mokar'ak, diplomat of the Gracovkar, have been tasked to meet with the captain of the Earth starship, the U.S.S Castaway, as their personal guide and as a secret investigator to learn more of our potential allies. So here I stand at the docking bay of my home planet, waiting for their ship to come to port. Everyone in the UIGF had heard tales of the feared Apex Predators from Earth, how they were advanced, but also the most primitive of the known sentient life forms in the known galaxies.

The first time any other lifeform had ever gotten into contact with the human race, they had just successfully colonized the red, neighboring planet in their solar system. Everyone, my planet included, had sent numerous amounts of disguised scouts to observe the humans and report back to us. The accounts varied from species to species with some reporting humans with different colors, cultures, and regions of their home planet and their newly acquired sister planet. However, the way they described the humans was mostly the same. They were bipedal creatures, walking upright on two legs with a foot on each leg and having only two arms, a hand and five fingers on each one. They had one head with two eyes, one scent reciprocal, a mouth with small teeth, and two sound canals that were surrounded by fleshy skin and cartilage to protrude out from the sides of their face. They did not have scales or spikes of any kind, only skin that, for some humans, would burn as soon as they stepped outside and faced their star. They did have some fur (if you could call it that), but it was mostly on the top of their heads and/or on their faces. They had no claws either, just some built-up keratin that protruded from the front-side of their hands. They held no powers, such as telepathy like the Vradari of Fenu-5 or night vision like the Smenuru of Ydriv-B43, nor did they have any sort of natural body armor like the Hmunurbe of Vega-0943-P or the vast intelligence of my own people. In fact, they had no outward display of strength or power of any kind beyond their crude and primitive weaponry that a small Xlarion child could dismantle.

At first, we were relieved, if not slightly disappointed. We had heard some dark tales of humans killing each other with such malice and contempt that some members of the Federation were convinced that they were nothing but a planet of savages. But with this rather unimpressive report, we thought that though they were a threat to themselves, to us, they were more or less harmless.

We were wrong. So very, very wrong.

The Degartsi of planet Bul’nimsat-3534-L were a way-fairing race, conquering smaller, more obscure planets for their vastly growing empire and enslaving the surviving inhabitants by helping them drain the resources of their planet and any other planet they came across. Standing at 9 rigmas tall (10 ft by Earth standards), they towered over many of the other life forms in the known galaxies, with multiple limbs and a vast arsenal of weapons of mass destruction, both close and long ranged, as well as a full militia fleet with thousands of spaceships, housing well over 100,000 soldiers, both Degartsian and slave alike. They were ruthless, showing no mercy to any lifeform on their newly conquered planets.

Old, young, it didn't matter.

The sheer notion of resistance against them was to guarantee the total annihilation of your entire species and any neighboring planet that would try to assist you. Though the UIGF were able to push them away from the planets under the Federation's protection, it did not come without enormous casualties.

I shuddered at the memory of the day I saw Degartsian ships leave the atmosphere of my own planet in a hasty retreat when I was a youngling, my parents being included amongst the dead after they tried to protect me and the rest of my village after they laid waste to our planet, desecrated our most sacred spaces, burned our crops, taken over our mines, and destroyed our homes. By the time the Federation were able to cause them to retreat, the Gracovkar were almost completely wiped out, our population going from around sixty million to only ten million.  

So, when the horde set their eyes towards the human home-world, none of the surrounding Federation members dared to help them. We were even more convinced of the planet’s destruction as the leaders of the planet had refused the horde’s demands for surrender. 

Instead, they declared war. 

We watched with bated breath as their forces closed in on the little blue and green planet. Surely, such a small planet wouldn't stand a chance against these cruel overlords. All of the Federation planets began to say their prayers and hold memorial services for the planet, expecting the battle to be over in an hour. With such archaic technology that they had, there was no chance that they would win. The fact that they thought they COULD stand a chance was impossible and, in Earth terms, stupid. Noble, but stupid.

That was until the humans began to wipe them out. 

To this day, we don’t know what really happened. The majority of the Federation planets had banned travel to Earth due to the impending war, but what few that dared to be near the planet’s solar system all had different testimonies. The J’rutsi people of Quasvi-43G claimed that the human’s atmosphere was filled with noxious gasses that had the horde fleeing back towards the stars. The Muvriadians of Wi’ox-9-3FD reported that the humans had their own weapons of mass destruction that rivaled the size and number of the Degartsi. The Kniphors of Umortina-F435 swore up and down that the humans simply brought down their ships and then hunted the Degartsi until the horde was too tired and too depleted to carry out their plans. 

Whatever the cause was, the Degartsi certainly never discussed it, even after their complete and total surrender. Their armies were depleted, their ships were destroyed, and in their surrender, they were confined to their original, dying world, never to traverse the galaxies again and would free any planet that they had enslaved, alongside giving the planet’s inhabitants reparations.

It was at this moment that I heard the low, ground-trembling rumble of a starship as it made its decent from the atmosphere to the docking bay. The ship’s interior was a bright, almost iridescent white, which made the name of the ship stand out in bold, black letters on one side. The once quiet deck began to bustle with activity as the arrival of this new ship brought with it all the curious and cautious alike to welcome our new guest. 

Then, the docking bay went silent as with a whoosh, the hatch of the ship opened and one, lone creature stepped out, dressed all in white and a strange, round orb on their head, which I began to realize was a helmet as they began to take it off and reveal themself. 

The helmet gone; the face of the human was clear. They were of moderate build, dark brown skin and head full of black, thick braids on top of their head. I couldn’t help but stare. Surely, they never said anything about the humans being beautiful. 

I guess they forgot to add that to their reports. 

The human glanced around for a moment before I remembered what I was actually there for and made my appearance. I turned my translator on in order to communicate, seeing as Gracvese wasn’t understood by most of the galaxy and made myself known. After getting their attention, I introduced myself. 

“Greetings, human. My name is Mokar’ak of the Gracovkar. Welcome to the planet Hedar. I will be your guide and translator during your stay here. And what may I call you?” 

The human stared at me, the eyes of an apex predator shining with interest on my form. Then, baring her teeth in what I briefly remembered was supposed to be a form of positive assurance, the human spoke.  

“Hello, my name is Tsiri Stephens, I use she/ her pronouns, and I bring you greetings from the planet Earth.”

I am so confused by so many worm fanfic writers.

I had a hankering for a Cyberpunk Crossover fanfic (with any setting, not specifically a cyberpunk worm fanfic) for some reason, so I had a look for one. Saw people reccomending skitterdoc, had seen people in worm threads reccomending it.

The description (Taylor triggers, gets bonesaws powers, teleports to cyberpunk world) did not inspire confidence, but I liked the idea of someone from another world interacting with cyberpunk so I thought, screw it, I'll give it a shot.

Why... is this Taylor? She doesn't think like Taylor, she doesn't have Taylors powers, she doesn't act like Taylor.

I don't do much writing, but I always hold the view that when writing you should ask yourself 'what does this add to the story? Why is this here?' before adding any details.

And it's fine if the reason is 'because I think it's sick' for some things. If you're making a cyberpunk (genre not setting) universe and you want a cybernetic to be a laser hand because you like lasers, fine whatever. Enjoy yourself. You can even make it a key part of the setting if you think it through, like people have to get implants to protect themselves from both lasers and ballistics, sometimes there's a tradeoff etc.

But who your protagonist is is a key part of the story and merits a bit more thought, in my opinion.

And in this case the answer can't be 'because I like the character' because you haven't written the character. You've written an OC and stuck her name and backstory on it. If I write, let's say, a marvel/Magic the gathering story where Tony Stark ignites in the caves and becomes a planeswalker, because I like the character Tony Stark (I don't but this is theoretical). But then I write Stark as someone who is shy, never quips and is shit with technology, I clearly don't like the character because that's not the same character. There's shared aspects, but it's not the same.

And like, the cyberpunk worm story where a character gets sent over could legit be good.

What if it was actually bonesaw post-GM? Someone who's trying to be better put into a city and environment that encourages people to be as selfish as possible, and has a power that works amazingly with the implants and stuff in the setting. That could be interesting

Or if you still want taylor to be a protagonist, fine. You could have her post-gm, trying to adjust to a world that seems to encourage her to backslide to her warlord days as much as it can. If you want her to be a Tinker you can even bullshit it by saying that the khepri situation fucked her powers connection enough she's now a drones Tinker or something. I find the bonesaw idea more interesting but this hasn't got no potential.

Could even have trigger taylor transported if you want, though I find that idea less interesting.

It's fine to make the protagonist Taylor because you like her character, but if you then don't even write her character, just an OC with her name, I have to ask... why isn't this an OC? You could then have an interesting protagonist with the characteristics you want while still having taylor in the story.

This doesn't just apply to skitterdoc, I'm just using it as an example, it applies to a lot of worm fanfic and a lot of fanfic in general. But I've never seen a fandom with as bad a case of it as worm.

It's like it's reflex to have taylor be the protagonist, like there's no thought put into it.

And it's fine to have some characteristics of the character change if that's part of an au. Al lavoro più di 4000 cittadini, grandi e piccoli, che contribuiranno a rendere più bella Monza. Aderiscono all'iniziativa 11 nidi di cui tre privati e gli otto comunali; 14 scuole dell'infanzia di cui la comunale Pianeta Azzurro, 8 paritarie e 5 statali; 19 scuole primarie; 9 scuole secondarie di primo grado; tutte le 9 scuole secondarie di secondo grado; 5 centri di Animazione Socio Educativa e il centro di formazione Professionale P. Borsa. Numerosi i dipendenti comunali impegnati, insieme ai volontari, alle guardie ecologiche, ai volontari della Protezione Civile e ai sottoscrittori dei "Patti di collaborazione" e ai giovani del servizio civile. Il cantiere di verniciatura della cancellata nella scuola Don Milani è invece affidato ai dirigenti del Comune. I giovani: ben sette cantieri sono promossi da realtà territoriali aderenti al tavolo Giovani: gruppi scout (AGESCI e laici), associazioni giovanili e iscritti alla consulta provinciale degli studenti. I Cantieri nei 10 quartieri. Tra i luoghi interessati dalle pulizie le piste ciclabili del Canale Villoresi, di via Bergamo, di via Ghilini; i giardini e le aree verdi della stazione, del NEI, di via Visconti, di via Poliziano e i boschetti reali. Al centro di operazioni di pulizia e rimozione di mozziconi anche viale Cesare Battisti, la passerella lungo il Lambro, via Romagna, viale Lombardia, il sottopasso di viale Libertà, Corso Milano. Piantumazione di fiori e abbellimento delle aiuole sono in programma in via Monti e Tognetti, al centro sportivo Forti e Liberi, al parcheggio di via D'Annunzio e nelle aree verdi di via Fiume e di via Solone/Boezio. Sono 73 i cantieri che si svolgeranno negli edifici scolastici della città: 60 gli interventi di piantumazione previsti con la messa a dimora di oltre 3000 piante; 49 gli interventi di verniciatura, 37 di smaltimento di rifiuti e 10 di realizzazione di murales e/o rimozione graffiti. Società Sportive in prima linea. Confermata la partecipazione diretta delle società sportive ai lavori: quest'anno saranno ben 10 le Associazioni impegnate in città. UISP alla Scuola Sabin; Aso S. Rocco alla Pertini; Astro Roller Skating alla Scuola Tacoli; Scuola Judo Monza alla Citterio e Atletica Monza sarà al lavoro per abbellire gli spogliatoi del campo sportivo delle scuole Hensemberger, Frisi e Mosè Bianchi. GES Monza sarà impegnata al Centro Sportivo Ambrosini; ASD la Dominante al Centro sportivo la Dominante; ASD Tremolada al Bocciodromo di via Rosmini e ASD Nuova Artistica Monza al parcheggio tra via Silva e via Puglia; ASD Forti e Liberi sarà al lavoro presso la loro sede di viale Cesare Battisti. 3 murales: oltre alle attività artistiche che saranno realizzate all'interno dei plessi scolastici è in programma la realizzazione di 3 murales: uno nell'area verde di via Rota Grassi, uno nel sottopasso di via Bergamo e uno dedicato ad Enzo Ferrari presso l'IIS Istituto Enzo Ferrari di via Monte Grappa. Al termine dell'intervento sarà posizionata sul luogo ripulito una fotografia del gruppo che si è preso cura di quel cantiere, con l'invito a rispettarlo e mantenerlo in ordine. Gli sponsor.
