there is a difference between being born to a throne, maliciously vying for a throne, stealing a throne, and having a throne thrust upon you when you are already in the midst of an identity crisis. And I fear Loki's place in the line of succession has people unable to differentiate between any of these

#you can't really argue he planned the extent of Thor's downfall #that was all Odin #Loki didn't force Thor to invade Jotunheim he isn't even the one who gave Thor the idea -- Thor did that all on his own!#that he was doing waswasa @ thor didn't help but wasn't really crime worthy on its own #Thor himself took time convincing the other warriors to be okay with the trip despite the treason and danger involved #like. what. Thor can't differentiate good advice from bad and is emotionally volatile and reckless and that's Loki's fault?#THOR was the one who got them past Heimdall too #the entire ordeal inadvertently showed off the favouritism Thor was receiving in comparison to Loki #even though Loki was the one supposedly so easily influencing Thor to such an extent #call Thor a puppet the way he--wait. no. that sounds weird. uhhhhh #you get the point #people will claim Loki was all up in there rearranging Thor's mental processes to cause his downfall #when really it was Loki doing the bare minimum instigation and watching things only devolve from there #because Thor WAS reckless and immature ?? and he WAS quick to anger and enjoyed exerting his power with violence ??#Loki didn't STEAL THE THRONE FROM THOR he literally just is implied to undermine the coronation #that's not even confirmed but we assume it's true that he let the frost giants in near the casket etc.#Loki has his own actual crimes that he did against Thor and hugging his bro's arm and saying 'you're soooooo strong and correct' was not on #even if you manage to argue Loki was cheering Thor on for the invasion (he wasn't) it was clearly to dob Thor in with Odin #which he did when he had some guard inform Odin #that Odin's chosen punishment was for Thor's disobedience aside stop blaming Loki for the damage ODIN inflicted on him #focus on Loki making up lies to Thor about how Odin died instead like at least Loki DID SOMETHING for that #you can even ascribe as evil a motive as you want there bc Loki was slipping fr #twirling his hair and telling Thor he's smarter about the realm's safety than the king was on the normal scale #you want to talk morals go look at how eager Thor was to invade mass destroy and massacre in the other realm #and expected Odin to 'finish them off! together!' bc he was power high on whatever bloodlust pheromones battle apparently imitates for him #sigh. this is why you can't have nice things Thor. no Loki you're barely any better. sit down. have a cookie.

ok i been thinkin bout the other fic idea i had that i was gon maybe write instead of the doctor fic. and im gon ramble bout it before i explode so

the idea was that in belobog a group of people/protesters would develop behind the scenes, spreading magazines and posters detailing how cocolia was not a martyr like the supreme guardian said and that she was responsible for a lot more suffering than just the cut off between the over- and underworld.

this starts causing... problems for bronya. she doesnt want uncertainty or doubt to cause people to become distrustful of her authority, but she cant just send guards marching and arresting the 'dissidents' so instead she has guards confiscating and tearing down posters that 'disrupt the peace' and has pela and other intelligence officers trying to find the groups responsible, where these publications are being printed, etc.

Gepard technically isnt involved in squashing the agitators beyond organizing some groups to rip down posters and all that, because hes primarily on the front lines. But hes very aware of it all as he essentially has a front seat to bronya's rising anxiety and starts becoming aware of how conversations about the 'real' cocolia are spreading through his guards.

he accidentally gets heavily involved when, after investigating how these posters keep reappearing in the fragmentum exclusion zone and backstreets despite no one being allowed in and no one seeing them get put up when he runs into sampo putting up posters. He ends up catching sampo and tries to shake him down and make him confess who else is in the movement, but sampo just argues he doesnt Really know and he was just hired by a few people, really! He makes a deal with gepard (i.e. talks him into it) where he helps disguise gepard and gives in an 'in' to the group behind all this. I mean, sampo only knows one or two people anyways so gepard could find out so much more! no need to pay sampo or thank him, just need to cut down his criminal record a little bit in exchange.

this ends up with sampo introducing gepard, disguised as just a regular overworld resident from a lesser known noble family, to post-stellaron support groups for people who have either directly or tangentially been harmed by the fragmentum.

Basically, sampo ends up dragging gepard into group therapy and causing him to learn that maybe these arent just people trying to undermine the supreme guardian, but people who have seen others and/or been subjected to cocolia's actions. Just like gepard.

Thinking about "default to violence as a form of justice and discipline" Jason and him never questioning those thought processes or his constant urge to maim others for not staying in line with his morals/beliefs (even if those beliefs are not standard/societal or are incredibly niche to Jason specifically) because he was raised under the unspoken rule of "fuck up and find teeth in your throat" in the wolf house and it only really begins to bother him when he loses his memories but as soon as he starts to remember his past, he stops caring because oh right, this is how the world is supposed to work (he does not understand why others do not agree)

#jason disapproving of abusive people but lacking the ability to recognize certain behaviours of his own as abusive #because this is the way the world works and obviously his moral code his rules his laws his ethics are pristine and perfect #and anyone who disrespects them must be disciplined must be punished must find themselves staring down sharp teeth and death #because how else is he supposed to correct them #anyway him having violent urges towards leo and piper throughout tlh and in the beginning he hates himself #but gradually through the story he accepts it so instead of striving to do better and rewire his thoughts like a typical main character #he just comes to the conclusion that he is right and being this way is fine for him and he stops questioning it #and then leo loses his arm and he feels bad about it but he can't care because it was deserved it was discipline it was correct #jason can't accept his behaviours as abusive or thoughts as problematic because that would imply his upbringing was abusive #and he cannot come to terms with that without shattering himself in the process #so he just doesn't and it's fine and it's okay don't worry about it just do what you're supposed to and everything will be fine #happy talks pjo #jason grace #junebug #june defaults to violence for similar reasons but she's significantly less accepting of it. very full of self-loathing. deeply suicidal. 👍

sukuna begging yuuji to take him back because he wants to feel his emotions again instead of his own emptiness and nothing but the closeness they once had is enough for him. and when yuuji does, because he feels incomplete as well without sukuna, he spawns into the domain again and walks around the familiar place, hesitantly calling out sukuna’s name to confirm he’s really there. “sukuna…?”

“…kozō” he hears in return, fondness in the tone, and when he looks up at where he remembers the throne to be he sees a face so similar to his staring down at him with a smile, a hand immediately reaching out to slick the pink hair back. after everything they went through there’s no reason to keep dancing around it – they belong to each other.

No but seriously, this is probably one of the softest gazes Peach has ever given to anyone, and the fact that it’s for Bowser of all people makes it both adorable and hilarious. Either Peach is literally the kindest most forgiving soul out there, or Bowser really isn’t as bad with her as he pretends to be despite his despicable actions. Or both.
