What each Saw character would get as a Tesco meal deal (scientifically accurate)
Tumblr media
Hello everyone, I decided as my debut long Saw shitpost, I thought I would decide what meal deals different Saw characters would opt for if they stumbled into a Tesco and were a bit peckish after setting up a few traps.
If you’re not from the U.K. or Ireland and are not familiar with the British & Irish institutions of a meal deal, it’s basically a packaged sandwich, pasta pot, salad, bit of sushi maybe alongside a snack item and a drink for a fixed price (it used to be around £3/ €4 but the shops are taking the piss now). Meal deals are considered a treasured institution here and are an indication of your personality. People judge your character based on what you get between two slices of cheap bread.
Here’s what different Saw characters would get for a Tesco meal deal:
Tumblr media
Adam (Faulkner) Stanheight
1. Southern fried chicken chipotle mayo sub
2. Doritos cheese flavour
3. Vimto still drink
Judging on how we know Adam is quite an unorganised adult struggling to adult most days, I would assume he opts for high energy foods to keep his tastebuds happy. Cheese, spiced chicken and fruity drinks seem up his street. Plus, Vimto is a very Mancunian thing and if Saw was set in the U.K., there’s no way Adam would not be from Manchester.
Tumblr media
Dr Lawrence (Larry) Gordon
1. Eat Your Greens Feta Salad
2. Apple & Grape snack pot
3. Chilled Iced Latte
I feel like because Larry is a doctor, he prioritises convenience but also eats healthily. I also imagine him to be meat free/ vegetarian so that explains the feta & greens salad (I don’t think he’d be vegan though, he seems like he loves proper cheese too much). Larry seems like he’d always be carrying breath mints or tictacs to minimise the cheese or coffee breath- nobody needs a waft of that when being told they’ve got 6 months left to live.
Tumblr media
Amanda Young
1. BLT sandwich
2. Walkers Thai Sweet Chilli Sensations Crisps
3. Monster Energy drink (chosen based on packaging colours to match mood)
Amanda is a busy lady planning traps and building contraptions designed to almost certainly kill people. She seems like she enjoys a bit of spice along with classic comfort combinations.
Tumblr media
John Kramer
- Chicken & bacon sandwich
- Egg snack pot
- Green smoothie
John seems like he’s mindful of what he puts into his body considering he’s consistently a salt & vinegar crisp away from death with the cancer and all. He’s also a very smart man so he would know the best value for money combination with a meal deal is getting an overpriced fruit smoothie for a drink.
Tumblr media
Mark Hoffman
- All Day Breakfast sandwich (triple)
- Walkers Max Salt & Vinegar crisps
- Red Bull
Mark seems like he can’t get enough of bacon & sausage, even though it’s cold and not exactly very fresh. Maybe he’d even have a bit of HP brown sauce with it. Mark would also probably make immature jibes towards vegans and vegetarians because he’s that kind of man. Considering Mark works overtime setting up traps and evading capture, all he’d be drinking by the events of Saw 7 would be energy drinks.
Tumblr media
Jill Tuck
- Egg & Cress sandwich
- Arla strawberry protein yogurt
- Bottle of water
Jill is a bit… bland. I’m sorry but I just have to say it. Egg & cress perfectly summarises Jill’s personality as seen in movies 4-7 between two pieces of bread.
Tumblr media
Peter Strahm
- Deli style cheese & pickle sandwich
- Smoked salmon sushi pack
- Pepsi Max
Strahm made some good decisions, some regrettable ones and one very very dumb decision during his time in the Saw universe. Just like his track record with making poor decisions, I’d guess Peter would get some supermarket sushi as a snack with his meal deal- not very fresh nor authentic and will leave you wondering why you couldn’t have got a pack of reliable crisps or a chocolate bar instead.
Tumblr media
Lindsey Perez
- Feta & sundried tomato pasta
- Propercorn sweet & salty popcorn
- Fanta orange
Perez is a great character and so she would get a meal deal to reflect that. Why do I also imagine Lindsey being veggie?
Tumblr media
Eric Matthews
- Meatball marinara sub
- Walkers Monster Munch Pickled Onion crisps
- Red Bull
I feel like this choice accurately reflects Eric. It’s a combination that’s maybe reflective of an immature palette, maybe even a sort of guilty pleasure combination. I wonder if he’d put the monster munch hands (or feet) on his fingers and eat them like that.
Hope you enjoyed my incredibly British saw shitpost x

Type of drinks and food they order from Starbucks!
Warnings: None!
Riddle Rosehearts : Royal English Breakfest Tea Lattle with brown sugar and a Red Velvet Loaf.
When he doesn't (when he is lazy) want to eat at Heartslabyul and have tea with others, he will stop by and get something small to take to class. Basic tea and a sweet loaf.
"Are you okay Riddle?".
"Yeah, am just overwhelmed. I need something fast and simple just to get the day over with".
"Is it that type of day already?".
"Yes, you can blame that duo of yours".
"Do you want shared custody?".
"If they keep waking me up in the middle of the night. Yes".
Leona Kingscholar : White Mocha with raspberry syrup and an Impossible Breakfest Sandwich
Listen when this man got the Impossible sandwich he thought it was a regular sausage sandwich, he still does, don't tell him he is eating vegan meat.
I also feel like he doesn't drink a lot of coffee, it's like a once-a-month thing for him when he is feeling peckish.
"White Mocha today Leona?".
"Yeah... I forgot that we have a pop quiz today in Trein's class".
"Oh shit, is that today?".
"Yes, also can you get me that sandwich that Ruggie always brings me?".
"Yeah, the impossible?".
"Yes that... also what's in it? What makes it "impossible"?".
"Uhhhh".
Azul Ashengrotto : Americano adds four shots and the Mushrooms & Kale egg bites.
This man loves those disgusting americanos, even more disgusting he keeps adding shots, he is business savvy and has to stay awake to deal with the Leech twins shit.
"Sir, I really don't feel comfortable giving this drink to you..."
"Why?"
"Because this is your third Grande Americano with four extra shots...... it already has four.... You've basically had 24 shots of expresso..."
Kalim Al-Asim : anything from tic tok and a Tomato & Mozzarella on Focaccia
This man is the type of customer who just shows a picture in the batista face.
"CAN I HAVE THIS??".
"Umm yeah, is Jamil okay with you coming here to drink? You know assassination? I could poison your drink right now".
"Psh it's fine, besides I've heard this drink is basically Neapolitan ice cream! But i wonder what Jamil would want.."
"Probably a shot-in-the-dark".
Vil Schoenheit : Chocolate Cream Cold Brew and a Feta Wrap
I feel like he doesn't really like sweet drinks "too much sugar", so he gets something bland but has a sweeten taste. It's like regular coffee but cold and instead of creamer you're putting melted whip cream on top.
"Samethinh always?"
"Yes, I'm so exhausted. My phone kept blowing up, Stan twitter is really something else".
"Oh yeah, I heard Epel talked about that. Are you getting canceled or something?"
"Ugh, no I wish. Me and Neige were seen eating brunch yesterday and now we are being shipped or media outlets saying "OH wHaT a KiND hEArT NieGe hAS foR MaKInG uP with ViLaN aCtoR ViL".
"Wish you luck on that, here's your drink by the way"
"Ugh, you're going probably remake this, there's too much water not enough cold brew".
Idia Shroud : Matcha Crème Frappuccino and Cheese Danish
When he does come out of his room, instead of the library he goes to the Starbucks café and plays video games or study.
"Um (Name) can you make it extra pretty, like in the picture? I wanna take a photo for my discord normies to prove I get out of my room".
"Yeah of course! Do you want caramel or honey on your Cheese Danish by the way?"
"Caramel but I want the Danish hot".
"So when you work, do you think as it as Papa's Freezeria but real life?"
"You need to get out more and yes. Yes I do, I even hear the music in my head".
Malleus Draconia : Caramel Macchiato with hazelnut and Coffee Cake
He only came to visit you, I doubt this man has drank any caffeine in his life. So when you asked what he wanted he saw the first thing and order it. I can't say if he liked it though, but do you know when cats' eyes dilate? Yeah his eyes were like that for a while, then he would randomly twitch, and purr.
"Okay, Malleus. Let's stop with the coffees, we have tea you know.... we even have cake pops".
"Coffee cake...."
"Malleus...."
Authors Note:

Tonight's plan in the works: a quichey-type pie with "they can't legally call it feta", frozen spinach that I just put out to thaw because there was time, and a package of frozen puff pastry also set out to thaw.
We've been getting a variety of those big cans of cheese floating around in brine here, and it is pretty handy if you like feta type cheese. That isn't the best brand to snack on that we've had, but it should work great in cooking.
(Actually an auto-translated link.)
Besides sounding like a good combo of ingredients, this should also use up several odds and ends of things out of the fridge. 😃 From that part of a carton of sour cream, to an open jar of pesto with chili. Probably throw some leftover fried onions in there too.
We don't actually have any cherry tomatoes (or sundried, which would probably also be delicious), so I am thinking of just using chunks of a sweet red pepper instead. Not the same flavor at all, but the same kind of color contrast and bit of freshness. Probably wouldn't be bad.

Hey boss do you have an actual recipe for that gyro bowl? Or do you just cook by vibes? Literally have been thinking about that thang for a whole day, lol
So, I've cooked *similar* things from recipe but I was going off pure vibes alone, BUT I can type up what I did in a sort of recipe-esque format for you! This may not be 1:1 exactly what I cooked, but it might be close?
Tumblr media
Recipe for Donnie's Gyro Bowl below:
Ingredience (amount of each fed 3 people in excess, so maybe 4 servings?):
1lb Ground Lamb (can be omitted for a vegetarian friendly recipe, or changed for Protein Of Choice)
2 roma tomatoes
1 cucumber
1 zucchini
2 cans of chickpeas
1 large white onion
Dill weed (I ended up having to get dry, but fresh is better!)
Pearl Couscous (1 box, was roughly 2 cups of dry couscous)
greek yogurt (1 little cup of it)
1 lemon, or a decent amount of lemon juice
white wine vinegar
feta
"tuscan seasoning blend" which seems to be mostly basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme, garlic, and fennel.
"taco seasoning" which I used mostly for its cayenne, i would have liked to use paprika and cayenne together instead of relying on taco mix
Garlic powder (again, would have liked at least minced garlic if not fresh)
onion powder
red pepper flakes
Olive oil, butter, salt, and pepper
preheat oven to 400f. Dice tomato and zucchini (keeping them separate), and halve then slice thinly the onion. Zest and halve the lemon then juice into a bowl/cup. Dice half the cucumber, then grate the other half on the medium/large size holes on a box grater (or really finely chop it into mush).
Put the diced cucumber and half the tomatoes in a bowl and add half a cup of white wine vinegar and some warm water. Add a few tsp of lemon juice, salt, pepper, and Dill. Allow to quick pickle while everything else cooks.
drain chickpeas well and mix in a bowl with olive oil and what feels like the right amount of tuscan seasoning and taco mix powder. the peas should look well coated but not like Caked with Seasoning. Toss to mix and then spread out in a single layer on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for ~25 minutes depending on your oven. They might make popping sounds while cooking, be not afraid.
Melt a little butter in a pot and then add the couscous to toast it a bit before adding the same amount in water and then a little extra, maybe 1/4 cup extra. Stir in a generous amount of garlic and onion powders and boil for uhhh a bit until all the water has been absorbed. If couscous is undercooked and all the water is absorbed then add some more and cook until done. Keep warm until ready to serve.
In another pan, melt a bit more butter then add the lamb, stirring to break it up and brown it. I added a lot of the seasonings in different amounts, and some chili pepper flakes. Once cooked through, add half the tomato to cook with it. Once the tomato is soft and the lamb is fully cooked, remove from the pan and keep warm.
To the ~juices~ from the cooked lamb in the pan, add the zucchini and onion and cook well until the zucchini is soft and charred and the onions are soft. Season with Salt, Pepper, and Dill. Add more butter or oil if you didn't have any animal fats left over from meat.
To the greek yogurt, add the shredded cucumber, some lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and taste to see if it's balanced.
To serve, put a layer of couscous at the bottom of the bowl, followed by chickpeas, the meat mix, the cooked veggies, the cucumber tomato salad, and then tzatziki sauce. Top with crumbled feta cheese.
The dish has such a mix of great flavors and textures and temperatures and heat and cream and lemon sour and its all just really really delicious. It did take maybe 40 minutes for me to cook but was soooooo worth it new favorite thing to cook for people.
Also if you were wondering, I went to the grocery store to buy everything I needed to make it more or less and it was about $35 and fed 3-4. The real expensive parts were the dill and the lamb, so those comprised $20 of it. If you already have dill, and omit or change the meat, it's a lot cheaper. Also its 2024 and groceries are expensive as hell.

So a bitch got the Dragon Age World of Thedas book and for once the bitch isn’t me (it’s my partner)
And there are RECIPES, so you know what we did
Tumblr media
This is the Dalish Deep Forest Comfort, but we ah… we have enhanced it to a wild degree
So Imma preface this with “we have been making jokes about Lavellan’s parents being godawful cooks so he eats everything raw” for months long before we got this book
(There’s a ficlet about it for our Four Heralds AU that may or may not be out already and if not will be soon)
But then we saw this recipe, and… guys? Guys? Let the Dalish have nice fucking things
This here is a spaghetti squash casserole, and one we made with one spaghetti squash instead of three
In the original recipe, the ingredients for this casserole are:
- 3 spaghetti squash
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic FOR THREE ENTIRE SQUASH
- 2 cups mushrooms
- 2 cups spinach (they lie and pretend elfroot is spinach but elfroot is weed so this might explain the quantities)
- 2 cups diced tomatoes
- teeny bit dried red pepper
- pinch of parsley
- 3/4 cup of feta
- wildflower garnish
Let me tell you right fucking now I don’t think they know how much you get out of a spaghetti squash because we put 2 cups tomato and spinach each in this baby with our 1 spaghetti squash and it’s perfect
So obviously we diverted right at the start, cooked the spaghetti squash with salt, pepper, roasted garlic and red pepper all rubbed in
And to the rest we added onions and a strawberry basil summer sausage that fuuuuuuuuuucks, herbs de Provence, more salt, pepper, olive oil, roasted garlic and red pepper, cracked garlic, allllll the sausage juices, and tossed her up
Crusted the top with aged white cheddar, panko, and more feta, back into the oven, and guys?
Tumblr media
This is fucking good just, real fucking good
I thought I hated spaghetti squash but I just hate it when my sister cooks it cuz she cooks like the Dalish apparently, with just… no seasoning
Gonna bastardize many more recipes in future but this one is a winner once you beef it up a lil bit

I'm marco, 26yo cis guy from UK. I got into weight loss because I wanted motivation to stop drinking around april 2022, and ended up bingeing and purging on avg 3 times a week for abt 6 months. I relapsed back into daily drinking (litre+ of vodka a day) and detoxed in hospital at the start of the year, but have been finding it really difficult to stop and stay stopped, so I'm back here. I've nearly died so many times recently from drinking and I just keep gaining/getting more and more swelling &bloating. If any alcoholics/bulimics have advice for someone who cant stop shovelling it in to get a sustainable deficit, I'd appreciate it a lot. My goal is to be safe about it, but I'm open to anything that works.
I'm experimenting with different methods of weight loss, sometimes fasting, sometimes rezzing, but am very inconsistent. I binge v often. This is not so much an accountability blog, more like recording what I've learnt and just venting. My bmi starting around may20th was 22 ish, was 5th june 20, 4th oct 22.5,and now 20.5 jan27th. Have to get it back to 20, but goal would be 18 with low body fat %. My main goal is to stop drinking and get healthier (thinner).
To do list:
get compression sleeves for running
Things that worked:
going to meetings make it much easier to abstain and think abt other things than food -> much easier rezzing
being distracted by things unrelated to food
having good food options for rezzing prepped, like boiled eggs, or having a solid stock of staples like steak, yoghurt, fruit and veg
not buying food that I will binge on, if I buy it, even if its not for me, I will eat it and get fat
taking longer routes/walking instead of getting train (energy, weather and mood permitting)
peppermint tea
keep it in the day. One day at a time really works, it just takes practise to get into mentally
supporting blood sugar throughout the day, especially if going out/socialising/towards the end of the day (when alc cravings pick up). This is best done with small amounts of carbs following a rly high protein 1st meal
Things that I was doing before but that didn't work out well:
taking K supplements (just eat s. potato for carb allowance, is filling too and has loads of K, stops palpitations when intermittent fasting)
pho, miso or gochujang as soup bases. They are too salty and lead to painful sluggish bloat.
Oyster sauce is not worth the cals
Diet sodas. Caffeine dependence builds really quickly and teeth need help
olive oil for sautéing vegetables. Pointless cals. Fats can come from lean meats like beef steak, eggs and occasional avo as well as omega3 supplements
fasting. At 18 hours I feel like I'm goin mental and at 22+ the palpitations make it uncomfortable to move around or do anything at all
strength training (esp core) at home without equipment. Dont enjoy it at all, not motivated at all
watching hours and hours a day of ED documentaries, scrolling ED tumblr, and watching hours of foodtube every day. Obsession -> binges
hard avoiding carbs. Leads to massive brain rot and feeling morbid. Can't do anything. Inevitable binges, usually alcohol, or 4000 cal of food.
sushi is not really worth it. White sushi rice is too sugary. Its usually a carb craving in disguise, or something to get on the go and is expensive.
weighing every morning just lead to trying to use caffeine as lax and more chaos on energy levels, or obsessing and not being distracted.
Press ups make my joints click a lot. Planking is really boring and doesnt feel rewarding.
Using sex for stim instead of food and cooking
Curious about:
feta, olives and cherry tomatoes for satiety.
Broccoli and mushrooms (annoying to prep or dont taste nice when boiled)
chicken sausages for cheap lean protein (think they can be a binge trigger or lead to mental scarcity feelings but not sure if worth)
ways to make cottage cheese not taste shit (cocoa powder is not cutting it)
cardio > strength training maybe. Runner's high > nothing from strength training (that I ever felt anyway).
Finding a way to enjoy strength training
yoga and stretching for stim
skipping breakfast has really mixed vibes. Can feel completely awful, but can also make rezzing much easier. Can also lead to binges in the evening (because there's unspent cals in the budget). Probably best to stick to eating breakfast but keeping it high protein and not eating right away when waking up.
Experiment with meds timings.
minced turkey or discount fish for lean protein variety
ways to make eating salad not miserable, cos it does work rly well for getting a deficit. (Maybe herbs and lemon and chickpeas? Make in bulk? Quinoa? Binge risk)
_____________
New plan from 4th Oct '23 can't be strict bc cant track exercise cals without a phone for looking at time spent walking and running so will need to do a gross-in instead of net- in quick basic (aspirational) plan:
1000 cal deficit/day for the next month -> 1500 gross in/day allowance
NO: baked beans, bone broth, oil, paté, pasta, alcohol, caffeine, quiche, cheese, instant snack food, pesto, chorizo, hummus, meal deal foods reason: too sugary or fatty for their worth in flavour. Cause binges every time when rezzing. Not filling enough. Caffeine leads to crashes and the pickmeup is usually food.
LESS: bread, onion, ketchup reason: can be useful carbs in a pinch, less likely to cause binges than above (because they are only accompanied with protein). Onion and ketchup help with mental scarcity and support good vibes
MORE: fruit, veg soup, sweet potato, tuna, s. noodles, fruit juice, avocado, egg, steak, quorn, butternut squash reason: sugar cravings need to be comboed with fibre addition, or fruit juice could be useful diluted for emergency alc cravings. Everything else is lean protein and should be frontloaded in the day. Sweet potato is there for potassium and low glycaemic index carbs. Avo and s. noodles are contentious bc of price and fat/nutritional value reasons
ALTERNATIVES TO EATING: gaming, reading, weighing, cleaning, brushing teeth, counting cals, weights, stretching, running, walking, meetings. mostly overeat because of boredom and to break monotony in free time or to stim. These are alternatives that work and also make rezzing easier in other ways.

hearing people talking about cooking is always such an interesting topic and i'm gonna take a min to ramble about it. i learned how to cook (eggs and pasta mostly) as a kid from my mom because she learned to cook at a young age as well and she would also be gone on work trips pretty often. later on in life i worked in restaurant kitchens as a kitchen manager and a line cook. i've even had the displeasure of working alongside new hire line cooks that don't fucking know how to cook but figure that they can still do the job (they could not)
some things just become intuitive so it's hard for me to remember exactly what i needed to focus on learning and what did just come naturally from the start, but a lot of it relates to just general science/chemistry knowledge. denser items will take longer to cook than less dense things (potatoes take forfuckingever but sliced button mushrooms take like a minute or two), high heat makes things cook way faster so liquids will boil off sooner, dense items will sear/burn quicker, and thin/small things will just burn. some professional cooks don't even know this based on the amount of times i've had to talk coworkers out of turning the fryer temp higher because things were taking a long time to cook (this is a great way to get a nice crispy skin on some shit that's still frozen in the middle)
there's a lot of learning how to read recipes. abbreviations (sometimes tablespoon is T or tb or TBSP or Tbs), how to adjust amounts if you need more or less of something, looking up substitutions for things (if you don't have milk but need to make a cream sauce, using applesauce instead of oil or butter or eggs in some baking recipes, etc). its definitely a skill to know how to read some recipes, and coming in with your own knowledge is great, but it's another instance of "you need to learn the rules to know how to break them." this is how you get the screenshots of ppl substituting kale in their banana cookie recipes and then wondering why they suck
thinking of foods in terms of nutritional value can also be helpful. if you have tortilla chips and salsa youre technically getting some vegetables in you. frozen and dried fruits and veggies are still fruits and veggies. rice and beans is grains and protein. miso soup with tofu and spinach is lots of protein and iron. romaine salad with balsamic vin, olive oil, feta, and tomatoes is some vitamins and fats and calcium but without grains and fiber it wont give you too much energy so have some bread or something with it. moving away from processed food will make you feel better. apple slice and peanut butter is my new depression meal bc it makes me feel more alive than shredded cheese from the bag and you can feel like a roman emperor a bit.
if you're just starting out learning how to cook: try to keep it simple with starch + veggie + protein (veggie pasta is a staple classic, roast some stuff and toss it with pasta and garlic and olive oil), find something with just a handful of ingredients that you actually want to eat. the act of cooking can be fun but not everyone thinks its fun, so at least make sure you'll want to eat the final product. if there's any sauces you really like try to keep some on hand. gochujang+soy sauce+sesame oil+sugar+broth can be really good in a stir fry, and basically all of those things will last a long time.
anyway theres a lot of text about cooking. theres a reason i stayed working in kitchens for almost 5 years despite how shit working in kitchens is. i like food and cooking. its one of the few things humans have been doing for a bajillion years and its necessary to live a healthy life and if you can find some fun and peace in the process then thats even better. theres no shame in not knowing how to cook but there is shame in refusing to try and learn imo
insert senshi page about eating well and exercising regularly to live a healthy life

DiaDop Week 2023 Day 6 - Beach/Picnic: A Romantic Night on the Shores of Sardinia
Ao3
Quotev
Wattpad
Doppio was at the grocery store, buying ingredients for cookies. It was for the picnic he had planned with Diavolo, and he couldn’t decide whether to make regular old chocolate chip cookies or snickerdoodles.
Diavolo bumped into him before he could decide. “Oh, Doppio! Sorry for bumping into you, but I was thinking about what to make for the picnic.”
Doppio noticed the expensive bottle of red wine next to some produce in his basket and knew what to make. “It’s alright. I finally decided what to make.”
“Oh? Are you cooking something?”
“Baking. I can’t wait to see what you’ll bring.”
Doppio wondered if it would be enough and thought about buying more food. “I’ll bring more than just cookies.”
“Take your time. I’ll buy the candles and silverware.”
Diavolo had some elegant taste, making Doppio feel like his cookie idea was childish. He put the ingredients and headed to where the fresh fruits were, arms reaching for the grapes until he remembered Diavolo was bringing wine. He would’ve gotten strawberries but planned on making strawberry-flavored cookies. Doppio sighed, settling for the cherries on sale and buying some cute pink napkins on the way to the cashier.
-
Immediately after heading home, Doppio prepared to make the secret cookies. While he brought out the bowl, he still felt like he wasn’t bringing enough to the picnic.
A few days ago, Doppio had bought a baguette for his soup. He could use that to make crostini, but what should he top it with? He searched the fridge for something and saw some prosciutto, Roma tomatoes, and Boursin cheese.
He looked at the time to see if there was enough time, and it was only 2 PM—the picnic was at 6. Since Diavolo expected the macarons, he worked on that first before making the crostini.
As Doppio cracked some eggs, separating the yolk from the egg whites, he couldn’t stop thinking about what to wear. He loved his sweater, but maybe he should switch up his style. Perhaps a white dress shirt and some slacks would please Diavolo. Oh, but what color should his slacks be? Tan or black?
Lost in thought, Doppio broke an egg on his counter. “Ugh! I hope Boss isn’t having this much trouble.”
-
Diavolo finished making the herby cucumber salad with feta cheese and chickpeas, but he didn’t feel satisfied. Making salad was so simple, yet whatever Doppio planned seemed complex. Diavolo can cook, but Doppio is more into baking. What could he cook? Last night, he had shrimp fra diavolo and thought about using the shrimp he didn’t cook. Doppio didn’t seem like the type to enjoy something spicy. Maybe sweet and sour shrimp will sate his tastebuds, but he’ll cook after he showers.
Preparing what to wear before showering, he looked into his drawers and decided on the striped suit. Since he was the boss, he was in charge of his clothing but wanted to look professional. Thinking about his outfit, he found it funny how he spent his time with Doppio wearing his casual clothes instead of his suit despite working in the same building.
When Diavolo got out of the shower and dressed, he went into the kitchen to make sweet and sour shrimp. The picnic basket was on the table, and he placed the salad, wine, wine glasses, dining utensils, and shrimp once he finished cooking it. Hopefully, it wasn’t too much.
It was almost time to leave, and he called Doppio, reminding him it was time to head to the beach.
“B-boss!” Doppio panicked. “Wait, was the picnic now? I thought it was in an hour? Oh, no! I’m so sorry.”
Diavolo giggled. “Doppio, I’m calling just to remind you.”
“Oh.” He sounded calmer. “I’m ready. I guess I’ll head there now.”
-
It was time for the picnic. Diavolo picked up some roses for Doppio while on the way and a surprise in his pocket. Doppio had texted him that he’ll be under a tree with a pink checkered picnic blanket.
“There you are,” Diavolo said. “You’re looking fine.” He handed him the flowers.
Doppio took them, blushing. “Oh, really? Hmm, have I seen you wear that suit before?”
“It’s one of the suits I wear to work.” He sat down. “I brought us some salad and shrimp on a skewer. I made the shrimp before I left. Hopefully, it’s not too hot. Oh, let’s not forget the wine.” He set up the candles and handed Doppio a plate and a wine glass.
Doppio took out his food from his picnic basket. “I brought strawberry macarons, some cherries, and crostini. Do you think this is too much to eat?”
“I had a light lunch. If you can’t eat the rest, I’ll take them.” He eyed the macarons and grabbed one. “I should eat the salad or crostini first, but these look irresistible.” He took a bite. “Wow, Doppio, I’m surprised you haven’t started a bakery.”
“I thought about it, but I honestly have no idea how to start one. Besides, I like working for you.”
“Come here, you.”
The two leaned in for a kiss. They hadn’t eaten or taken a sip of wine, but they got touchy and physical, hugging tightly and kissing passionately. They would’ve been sweaty if it weren’t for the ocean breeze that suddenly kicked in.
Diavolo panted when he withdrew from the kiss. “God, Doppio, I need you by my side.”
“Boss, I want to be with you!” Doppio flung himself towards him.
He hugged him again, kissing and caressing his cheek. “Oh, my sweet Doppio, I want to give you something.”
He withdrew from the hug. “What is it?”
Diavolo pulled out a box with a ring inside. “Marry me? I think it’s time we make it official.”
“Oh my gosh! I don’t know what to say! I’m probably a sweaty mess! Of course, I’ll marry you! Should I pack my things after dinner, o-or should I do it tomorrow?”
Diavolo laughed while his stomach growled. “Whichever you prefer, my Doppio. I’m getting hungry. I feel like I could eat all the food you brought.”
Doppio took some salad and shrimp, sampling them. “Your food is so good, though! You’re telling me to start a bakery, but you’re the one who should be opening a restaurant.”
He poured him and himself a glass of wine. “Maybe, but it would’ve taken me longer to buy that ring for you.”
“I wouldn’t mind. I always felt we didn’t need a ring to prove we were meant to be together.”
“Oh, Doppio, I love you so much.”
“I love you too.” He fed Diavolo his salad. “Come on. You haven’t touched the food you brought.”
“Neither have you.” He put a cherry in his mouth, pulling the stem once Doppio bit into it.
They both ate the food until they were full and stayed a while to enjoy the ocean view.

Hey gorgeous! 🌞💗✨🫶🏼 Some Qs for youss:
Tumblr media
When you think of Georgie fics, are they usually set during Hogwarts years or post? 🧨🧡🪄
I’m currently drinking coffee out of black mug with a mermaid outlined in white holding a coffee cup on it. Do you have a favorite mug or mugs? ☕🧜‍♀️
“If” you were a mermaid (the typical rendition), what would your tail look like/ what color would it be? 🌊🪸🐚
What’s the last thing ate that blew your mind with how good it was, whether you cooked it or not? 🎊🍽️🥢
Last Tori song you listened to? I’m jamming right now, so I shall play itt. 🎵❤️🎶
Okay I’ll cut it here c:
I usually think of him as an adult post-Hogwarts. If I'm entirely honest, I mostly think of him post HP-series completely.
I do have a favorite mug! It's covered in Shakespearean insults. I'd take a picture, but it's currently in the dishwasher. So here's a link instead.
If I were a mermaid, my tail would be an iridescent lavender and pink. Similar to these lovely hydrangeas.

This pasta dish from a Greek place near me. Penne with roasted red peppers, artichokes, olives, garlic, tomatoes, and basil, topped with feta and pesto.
The last Tori Amos song I listened to: Northern Lad

another sundogs outtake from yesterday. I got up at 5:30 and have spent the morning reading in bed (thanks to the anon who recommended the queer conception book—just finished it and liked it a lot). I cried a bunch last night blah blah blah all these big feelings but it was at least a little bit cathartic and I feel a bit better today. I worked out a plan for the june cycle: same increased dosage and extra monitoring as last time, but I’ll also start taking supplements and will track ovulation signs myself instead of relying on the doctor’s timeline. I’m also going to use a different donor from a different bank and will request a double IUI (probably at 12 hours post trigger shot and 24-36 hours tbd). this will cost more sigh but the new bank has cheaper rates and free local delivery so it shouldn’t be prohibitively expensive. I also revisited my budget to try to put my mind at ease about expenses. I wouldn’t say my financial sitch is ideal but I’m also not actively stressed about it and I do have a backup plan (tutoring 4-5 hours a week) if I find I need more of a cushion to cover babymaking expenses.
mmkay. it’s almost 9:30 now now—what do I want to do with the day?
I would like to get up right now and take Pip over to the big field to run with the other dogs who come to play there on Sunday mornings. I will also put on my running clothes when I go to encourage myself to head back over and go for a quick run after I drop him off
easy one mile run in the lovely cool weather
meal plan for the week. actually I bet I can do this right now. I have ingredients for a pita + chickpea salad recipe that I’ll make today, and then I have a range of things in the fridge I need to use up: asparagus, pesto, ricotta, cherry tomatoes, cauliflower, feta, avocado, and maybe another random veggie or two. I also have gnocchi leftovers I can finish for lunch today. I think I’ll try to avoid a grocery run since I’m gone all next weekend. maybe I can roast the cauliflower and add that (plus a grain base?) to this chickpea salad to make it last for more meals. then I can do a simple pesto pasta dish with asparagus + cherry tomatoes to cover the rest of the week (with PB&J sandwiches and avocado toast with scrambled eggs to fill any gaps)
do an hour of background reading for work (although as always I can stop the second it starts feeling like work!)
long podcast walk with the dogs—maybe drive somewhere new today as I’m getting very bored of our usual routes
do laundry + change sheets/duvet cover
talk to liz about job search stuff later today
see if I can finish crooked kingdom (or get in a good long stretch of sustained reading… maybe I’ll put the hammock up on the back deck and read outside this afternoon

Day 13 of realistic nutrition tips
Source of video and on-screen captions: NutritionByKylie on YouTube
Edited video transcription by @ imaginary-food-booth is under the cut
Kylie: If you like salads but hate preparing them this video is for you.
[Kylie chops lettuce in the veggie chopper.]
Kylie: I'm a dietitian and welcome back to realistic nutrition tips. Instead of taking the time to chop everything individually just add everything to a veggie chopper.
[Kylie chops some more lettuce in the veggie chopper.]
Kylie: And don't empty it along the way just make your entire salad in here. This video will have an easy chopped salad without the mess and 5energy of preparing it.
[Kylie chops some cucumber in the veggie chopper.]
Kylie: There's this girl on here that's been doing this and I think it's an excellent tip for people with ADHD, people with chronic illness, and people who just don't like to chop things or wash dishes.
[Kylie chops some cherry tomatoes in the veggie chopper.]
Kylie: I've had my veggie chopper for more than two years and this really helps me get in more vegetables.
[Kylie chops some baby carrots in the veggie chopper.]
Kylie: Like having my whole salad in here is just so helpful. Also salad just hits different when it's chopped, I don't make the rules.
[Kylie chops half an avocado in veggie chopper.]
Kylie: Also gonna add some grilled chicken because it chops that too and also I want some protein.
[Kylie chops some grilled chicken in the veggie chopper.]
Kylie: After you're done add your toppings. I'm adding some feta, some sunflower seeds, and my dressing. Now I'm just gonna put this [lid] back on and give this a shake.
[NOW SHAKE IT UP!]
Kylie: And now you have an easy chopped salad. Such a quick salad and so easy to prepare.
[Kylie takes a forkful of her chopped salad.]
Kylie: Mm.

Just saw all your comments about a link to the veggie chopper! This is the exact one I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0764HS4SL?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamznutri057-20&creativeASIN=B0764HS4SL&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.2S8TFZQSMDYL3&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_mixed_d_asin If you're having a hard time copy+pasting the link, you can go to my Amazon storefront (amazon.com/shop/nutritionbykylie) and it's the first product under "Kitchen")! Hope this helps!

Today i got a meeting bc my numbers were low for a second day in a row and when i mentioned that id probably be faster if i wasnt experiencing A Pain in my body and he mentioned that i could go home but itd be another occurance and then said "the two excuses i hear the most are pain and the freight being bad, and from the looks of it youre fine and the freight is too" like im sorry i havent had a period in 6 months and i think my uterus is trying to invert itself inside of my body. Be nice to me before i explicitly describe what that feels like in detail to you and we both have to go to HR about it!!! But switching happened after to handle the Emotions and i asked him to do a random safety audit on me without telling me and i passed just fine so he said as long as i keep a steady pace through the night like i did when he audited ill be fine and we got the number back higher.
I still have to think about my job as a combination of school and salmon run to survive it but whatever works for me i guess. Have to be here i go on break when they tell me and i have to meet a quota.
I get praise if i meet it and a passive agressive talking to if i dont. This is so mr grizz coded. Also its stupid to expect 100% productivity when you, yourself, said that it takes roughly 6 weeks to get your body adjusted to the constant movement and ive been here for FOUR. And only 2 weeks actually doing things in my area hands on. Which is 7 days bc i havent worked tomorrow. Thays bananas and i think its silly so idc.
Also the rule that "if you need to rearrange a box so it fits then you packed it too full" is really stupid and i dont follow it because if i have a big cardboard box sitting on all of the smaller ones it wont fit but if i just move everything on top of it its fine. It literally takes less time than closing a partially full box bc that takes me longer than just dumping the box onto the line, putting the big item in, then putting stuff back ontop AND THEN closing the box. I can easily put more in this box without going over the handle. You want me to make a wasted movement to prevent a different one. I am very proud of my ability to follow rules unless they are stupid and no one can give me a better answer than "um its just the rules" like. Okay then unless its like some actual problem im gonna keep doing it suck my peanits.
I am also considering just giving myself a lunch budget for the workweek instead of prepping lunch bc i actually cannot handle doing the dishes during the week bc before work and after work is my only free time </3 i dont want to touch something gross or wet </3 ill do the trash or sweep or clean A Surface but dishes is no so tomorrow morning im gonna knock them out so i can enjoy the weekend and stuff cuz im gonna cook alot of tomato and feta to freeze sauce abd i can sense the dishes already
Overall today was mid. Again. And one of my coworkers i thought was nice put his two weeks in but i figured hed prolly get fired soon cause hes taken off more than hes worked so hes def out of PTO and u only get two absences/occurances in ur 90 day/orange vest (im at 1 out of 2 en and im scared idk how he does it) and his brother bit the snot out of his arm and left a huge bite wound while on meth and he lost custody (tbf his apartment is getting demolished due to rain damage... but from what he said he shouldve gotten it instead but im a bystabder in all of this. I hope the kid has a nice life she doesnt deserve to be between the drama her parents have)
I think is freakeng weed time bc im sooo emotions still. And i have an edible for edible + park tome so im Considering tomorrow taking it and going to the park around 5 am for a Magical Time with the sunrise
