oh, anon.  it’s time to introduce you to lila rhodes, rhodey’s niece.

so, to answer the question first and foremost:  yes.  there’s implications here and there that tony very well knows how rhodey’s mom is and she’s easy enough to find - she moved out of philly onto a reservation - so there’s definitely implication in text that tony has a relationship with rhodey’s mom in some sense.  i guess when your son’s best friend is like.  the shambling mess of an idiot that tony is it’s probably not hard to like.  end up taking him in, too.  like i generally have only some light basis for it but since i do what i want, i hc that mama rhodes is more of a presence in tony’s life than you’d otherwise think, just because of commentary from rhodey here there.

secondarily, there’s rhodey’s niece, lila.  you should read the iron patriot run if you want the whole thing but she’s basically a prodigy.  you know tony and basically connecting with the kids too smart for their own good (because he was one once upon a time) so the fact that after some spoilery things happen in which again you should read iron patriot, tony basically offers her some old suits (which tony never does, i’ll add) and one of his older supercomputers to play around with without like...any questions whatsoever, to just go all in on, because she managed to mod government iron patriot suits and basically fly them herself.  and she’s rhodey’s niece, which gives her bonus points.  they have a bit of a heart to heart over it, even, it’s...a moment.  i won’t say a good one considering the circumstances surrounding it but let’s put it this way:  she’s comfortable with tony, completely, rhodey’s comfortable leaving her with tony after the thing that happens happens, and then they both go and wait for rhodey at home.  so like.  yes.  there’s definitely onscreen instances of tony with rhodey’s family, i guess the overall picture here is that you can’t be as close as rhodey is with his family, and as close with tony as a best friend, and not have the two intermingle.  it would honestly be super weird if there weren’t any instances, tbh, of those two sides of rhodey’s life meeting.

Visited with my longtime friend, Lori (we instabonded over our James Dean tattoos nearly 15 years ago, quelle surprise). We’re chosen family, but because this state is TOO long and we’re both in the same financial situations, we don’t get to meet up that often. 

I got my ink done by her favorite artist, and I’m so damn happy with it!!!! (it’s basically a ‘vanity reg plate’ for Ben, I figured it would fit right in with his background) Ben’s in good company, he’s sharing an arm with Depeche Mode and Robron ;) 

I am so tired (6 hr roundtrip), but it has all been 10000000000000000000% worth it. What a fucking awesome day <3

I think folk without children are suspicious of the instabond when it is portrayed because it seems unrealistic. Whereas if you have had babies, then it seems perfectly normal. Doesn't always happen of course, but it's not at all uncommon and especially with men. My partner was rubbish during pregnancy until he saw the baby and then he did a complete Robert and turned up in the morning with the entire contents of baby Gap. That's why I Iove Robert and Seb's relationship so much.

We’re watching a soap where everything is exaggerated. I just think people who keep harping on the ‘insta love’ just want a reason to hate Seb x Robert.

GENDER: Female. 


ROMANTIC ORIENTATION: Aromantic. In the show she’s portrayed as heteroromantic but I headcanon that she’s Aromantic and asexual. She was raised with traditional ideas of family and marriage so that’s what she wants, because she thinks that’ll make her normal, so she wants to do romantic things with Jesse, because she thinks that’s what she’s supposed to do with men. She gets romantic and platonic feelings mixed up and this leads to confusion about her feelings toward people. 


PREFERED PET NAMES: She doesn’t have any, but if she did it’d be something quirky, like Meathead lol.


RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Single


FAVORITE CANON SHIP: Helena + Happiness. Helena + Jesse 


FAVORITE NON-CANON SHIP: Mine are platonic but it’d have to be my AU verses with @govtdna, I had a romantic ship with an Edward from American Horror Stiry but I forget the url.

OPINION ON TRUE LOVE: Helena definitely believes in true love.

OPINION ON LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT:  Oh yeah. Helena believes in connections and instabonding and DEFINITELY believes in love at first sight.


HOW ‘ROMANTIC’ ARE THEY?: Helena is, but in her own weird way. She’s like a cat that brings mice home because she loves you, so if you date her you’ll probably find doll heads, knives, and creepy drawings of the two of you showing up at random times.
